The Pyramid Cancun: Top notch resort

We stayed at the pyramid oasis and other than a slow check in, we had a wonderful week. The staff are amazing and always willing to help. Customer service was great when we discovered we had no remote control for the TV. We loved the VIP treatment that the black bands gave us. One of the nicest beaches we’ve been to, unfortunately, it was windy the week we were there and although we enjoyed the beach, we only spent a little time in the water as the waves were quite high. The pool was s [... read more]pectacular and very clean. Lots of seating available by the pool at all times. The evening shows and entertainment was spectacular; we actually saw red circus twice in the week we were there. The gym could use some updated equipment as everything is quite old and rusty and not very clean which is in contrast to the rest of the resort. The buffet for the VIP black band was great for breakfast with many choices, however, we found that dinner was often lukewarm to cold. There are so many restaurants at the resort to choose from that this was a minor inconvenience espeially sine there was another buffet at the other end of the resort as well as specialty restaurants. All in all, we had a fantastic week and are planning on going back next year.

Oh Cancun On The Beach: Oasis resort

The grounds were clean and kept in good place. Yoga and zumba were great. Food was good. The room was good. The customer service and reception were not good. Reception was extremely slow. Customer service wasnt good at the bars and servers because I dont think they believe people tip so they dont really care. Also, I dont think mexicans like english speaking people due to current political issues with America so probably poor service due to that even though we are canadian. Sandos Cancun: Great Vacation!

This was my first time to Cancun but 3rd to Mexico just never made it to Cancun... it was much better than I ever expected. The beaches were beautiful white sand and loved the smaller resort! The hotel itself was nice however we were disappointed to know that we were only going to be there for 3 nights and with an occupancy of 40% they opt to put us in an room overlooking a roof and without a balcony.

Riu Dunamar: Family Fun + Relaxing Resort

We had such a nice relaxing time at Riu Dunamar. It had exceeded my expectations on all levels: food, entertainment, service, beach/pool. There was something for everyone in our family and we can honestly say we really enjoyed ourselves. The service was impeccable, even those who did not serve us directly would greet us with a good morning or good evening walking by. We felt that hospitality! I  [... read more]loved the kid activities available to the children throughout the day and our daughter enjoyed it so much too. The kids pool and the slide pool for adults, were amazing. The only thing that I would say they could improve on, is the quality of alcohol in the drinks. I know they need to make a profit with being an all-inclusive, but it was the only thing my husband and I did not enjoy. By the end of our stay we just stuck to wine, since we did not enjoy the different mixed drinks we tried. Other than that, I would highly recommend!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Relaxing in Paradise!

My sister and I have just come back from a 7 night stay at the Royalton Riviera Cancun and it was absolutely wonderful!  From the point of checking in (especially Edgar) to the point of checking out, the staff, the hotel, location, weather, amenities, etc. we’re fantastic.  Spoiled for choice when it comes to food and activities . The beach was our favourite but the swimming pools were also great.  The staff in the buffet restaurant were superb and so friendly, this really made our holid [... read more]ay that extra bit more enjoyable!  We would definitely come back (every year if we could!) and recommend it to anyone.

Riu Dunamar: BEyond what we expected

Beautiful grounds, lovely layout and plenty of choices. We have travelled to 7 RIU properties and our personal choice of favourite is the RIU Dunamar. Exceptional customer service from every level of staff, cleanliness is their top priority. Yiu will always see a staff member cleaning, scrubbing hallways, LOUNGERS (first ever we have seen this, even pick up the beach ones) bathrooms, restaurants. It was such a pleasure to stay here. Beach is beatiful but unfortunately lots of seaweed, even though there was a tractor and grounds crew each and every day, couldn’t be prevented. Our week we were very lucky to have fabulous weather. Would return here in a heartbeat.

Riu Palace Las Americas: Very good resort

We spent one week in October at this resort. When you go Riu you know that service and cleanness is always a given. This resort lives up to it's name Palace and I'd like to salute the management and the workers who makes this all possible! I was amazed by the little details that they add to everyday things. At the buffet you could find those little plates with food in them each made by hand. And the chocolate!!! The best chocolate ever at any resorts. I could go on and on praising everything. Grand Oasis Cancun: Great escape

Hotel was large, very clean, staff were attentive and very nice. Many restaurants and bars were closed, many things are an up-charge that was not expecting. Was quiet which was nice, but made me wonder why is such a large resort, not even close to being as half full as it looks.

Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Not very impressed

The room was clean , outdated , small and a queen bed for two. The local people have all the vip oceanfront rooms. Food was good but repetitive and they all waiting for tips .... pretty intimidating... the guy who prepares the ags on spot was never there in a week ... only for those who tip or for local people was there. I didn t expected this demande on tips in mexico ... once you tip they give you better service and then next day they expecting more than you give them today ... Beside that  [... read more]is not a bad location, the beach is small but ok . The advantage is that there were no waves compared to the hotels located on the front of cancun strip. The beach is facing the island Mujeres which kind of blocks the big waivs comming from the shore in this period of the year . Overall satisfied but for sure a better deal in dominican for better stars and cheaper...

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Okay resort

I would give this resort a 3 1-2 out of 5 . There are some very good things about this resort but also some things that need improvement . Our check in was quite slow and when we got to our room the bell hop told us where the bars were and restaurants but the map of the resort didn’t give building numbers so when we left and since it was dark our whole group had trouble finding our way back to our rooms . Okay I will now go through my estimates of the resort from top to bottom . The staff here [... read more] are 6 stars everyone was helpful and always smiling except a lady from front desk who was not very nice when I phoned about checkout . The room was 5star always cleaned and we never had a problem with hot water . The beach was 5 star as once tropical storm Michael left there was no problem with sea weed and you could walk for miles along a great sand beach . The pool and grounds were 5 star with lots of umbrellas for shade and good waiter service . But here is the problem with this resort . The food is only marginal at best . We were here for my daughters wedding and when we got our meal the steak and fish tasted okay but everything was cold . The breakfast at secrets was okay with a good omelet station but the breakfast buffet was very limited whereas the buffet next door at dreams was much bigger but noisy and busy .lunch was just okay not great but not bad and the ala carts where hit and miss with some really good and others okay to poor . When we arrived home we had 1 person taken to hospital from the airport with a bad ecoli infection and at least 1 other person with stomach trouble . I liked the resort but with the food trouble and the fact that they are fairly pricey I will probably not return here

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Amazing resort and great people

The resort, room and pools were amazing. Staff were the nicest people ever. The food was really good. The resort was definitely a 5 star resort. There was great nightly shows Beach wasn't perfect, too much seaweed.

Moon Palace Cancun: Great Family Resort

Impeccably maintained resort with lots of amenities for kids of all ages. Very friendly staff, especially Miguel, Caspar and Martin 🙂 Although it seems very large, it’s Easy to commute between lobbies with the golf carts or the large buses.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Beautiful resort!

The rooms, pool, beach/ocean and restaurants were amazing. The food was exceptional, as I've always found in Mexico. We enjoyed being a short golf cart ride to Dreams, where the restaurants and bars were equally as nice. Having access to more at Dreams was a perk. The Secrets resort was beautiful but some restaurants were a golf cart ride away making the resort seem a little smaller while you were in the main area.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Thanksgiving trip

The beach was spectacular. The employees were wonderful. The food was terrible as a whole and my husband contracted an illness which caused hospitalization the night he returned home. This was an important trip that went terribly bad on our final day. We enjoyed our time with family and friends.

Riu Dunamar: It is amazing resort

Clean and updated rooms. Friendly people. Incredible food. I mean incredible food everywhere. Must visit place. Fishing for barracudas was something. Must go to isle Muheres, just 1 hour on the boat. Thanks

Riu Dunamar: 8 points from 10.

Ground, public area, room, dinning is 9 points from 10. The beach is practically clean. But little shade throughout the day. Often there were waves and swam, in the water, thorny thickets from palm trees.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Beautiful Resort

The rooms are clean and modern. The food was excellent at the buffets and all 6 restaurants within the lobby area. I enjoyed the fact they offered the premium liquor and beer as opposed to the local brand ( it was available) The beach and waterfront for me was okay I would definitely go back to the Riu

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Best resort in Mexico

What a wonderful place. Food was amazing, the people are so friendly. So clean and organized. Very kid friendly. Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone and everyone. Room was always clean and fridge always full.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Amazing Service

My wife and I went for a 7 day trip. The staff and service was amazing. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. The resort is very small but cute. The beach wasn't that great, given the time of year. The dining experience was very good. Loved the beach service during lunch time.
