Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: February 2025

The resort:beautiful and very clean. The staff:very friendly. The food:average at the buffet, sports bar and beach bar. The a la cartes: average. You can't use any balcony due to rusty chairs. The sets on the balconies were all metal exposed to salt air and all of them were significantly rusting. There was no sitting outside in the evening and reading on the balcony that's for sure. If you got cut off the edge of anything let's hope your tetanus is up to date. All the balcony seating should [... read more] be replaced with resin plastic sets. Seating anywhere is very poor. The lobby cushions need to be replaced they flatten quickly. May not seem like a big deal ...but it becomes a big deal if you have bad knees. Beach and pool chairs: a lot of them are in poor condition with broken frames and torn fabric that need to be either replaced or fixed.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Great resort.

Pretty decent hotel. Great pool area. Fantastic beach. Not a bad food it’s just repetitive. Great service and super friendly staff. Clean room. No power outages. Entertainment every night with excellent service at the main lobby bar with great selection of drinks.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Amazing resort

Absolutely fantastic experience at Paradisus Los Cayos. If you're lucky enough to experience the Royal Service you're in for a treat. We had concierge service, Jahana and Yoana are amazing. They looked after our every need, booked our a la cartes and checked in with us everyday to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Service: The genuine hospitality of the entire staff is what made our vacation so incredible. They were friendly, fun, and very gracious. This was in the entire resort, not just in the Royal section. We made a special request to recognize a birthday and Elianis in costumer service went above and beyond. She decorated the room, left a gift, and arranged a birthday dinner, it was beautiful. Beach: We enjoyed the main beach. Beach bar is close, wait staff always going around to take drink orders, snack grill has good burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches. You can snorkel right off the beach, go to the left by the rocks. Walk to the right, you can go a long way and there is a beautiful sandbar. Pool: Main pool is great, swim up bar, snack shack is right beside it, music playing, and entertainment is good. Bartender at swim up bar is fun and very nice. Food: Every meal was great. We didn’t expect the food to be that good in Cuba, absolutely incredible. Nobody goes to Cuba for the food, but our whole group was honestly surprised at how much variety there was and everything had so much flavour. Cappuccino’s are amazing. Nothing was missing. We highly recommend this resort. Don’t let negative reviews of Cuba stop you from visiting this beautiful resort. We never had power issues, we always had water, and there were no shortages of food, drinks or wine. We will definitely come back to this resort.

Melia Las Dunas: Amazing Resort for value

It's a very large resort, on one of the most beautiful beaches in the World. The Staff is friendly, they go beyond the call of duty to accommodate you. The Food was good. The grounds are beautiful The rooms are large and clean, I would highly recommend Judy (Massage Therapist in the Melia Spa. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Old 3 stars maximum

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Mixed feelings

I know it is not all the fault of the hotel but front desk information is almost non-existent. We called down to front desk for someone to unlock our safe as I had forgotten the code I put in. It took three calls then I was somehow blocked for further calls. I received a call saying someone would be there at 2 after already waiting for two hours in my room, the guy finally showed up at 3. That was our first day. The main buffet not being open for lunch was a first. I love Cuba, its people and I have been going to Cuba every year since 2005. I’ll continue to go because I love it. Not sure about Sanctuary though. The hotel and grounds are impeccable and beautiful. The fact that the Sanctuary perks were downsized this year from last year was frustrating and not explained well on the Sunwing website. So much confusion for a few bucks more for premium that was part of the sanctuary package when I was there last year. Not to mention flight delays both ways.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Super clean!

I ve never seen a resort so clean! The staff is the friendliest ever. Food well it's Cuba you will always have something to eat. Some lines are longer but go after the rush . Beach was amazing.loved this resort

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful Experience!

The grounds are well maintained, and the gardeners really take pride in their work. We enjoyed our walks around the property. There was entertainment throughout the day, which was lively. The workers were always pleasant, smiling, and grateful for gifts. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was plenty of options for dining, buffet (pasta, chicken, beef, pork, fish), several restaurants, pizza, sandwiches, fries, burgers or hot-dogs. I was pleasantly surprised with this resort. Blau Varadero: One of our favourites

We have been to the Blau several times, the people who work there are simply amazing, everyone is so friendly and nice. The resort is nice. Beach is beautiful. Food is ok but repetative. There is a restaurant across the street that serves a lobster lunch for $20.

Playa Costa Verde: Beautiful beach

This resort is on the older side but the beach is gorgeous. Additionally, the staff were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. There was a shortage of some food and drink items and the food was boring and repetitive. There was a shortage of fruit, vegetables, meat and some kinds of alcohol.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: The Cubans are the greatest, they all treat you like royalty.

The best deal we've ever gotten. Really lucky it wasn't crowded, no line ups, fast service and great food/drinks. Rooms are great, air conditioned, hot water, no bugs. Only problem was the exchange,,,, DO NOT EXCHANGE ANY MONEY FOR PESOS!!!!! The Can$ is worth 3 times on the street compared to the bank exchange rates!!! Only bring Canadian CASH, or US if you feel rich and want to pay for that exchange. They love getting a Can$5 bill as a tip. So bring plenty(50-100) of them. Playa Pesquero: Très bon resort

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine de vacances au Pesquero. C'était la deuxième fois pour ma copine et la première fois pour moi. J'ai aussi un ami qui y est allé deux fois au courant des 3 dernières années et il a bien aimé cet hotel. Mais dans tous les resorts où je suis allez, c'est au Pesquero que j'ai trouvé la plus grande variété et il était facile de manger une très bonne assiette par repas. Bravo à l'administration et aux cuisiniers sachant que les ressources sont très limités dans ce beau pays. Nous avons essayé 2 restos à la carte : Le romantico et le cubain : les deux étaient très bons et super service. Le vin offert au romantico était meilleur que les couteilles à 15$ ici au Québec à la SAQ. Merci ! Boissons : J'ai adoré les bar à café ! Les café espagnols, Bréziliens, hmmm et plein d'autres possibilités. Et merci de nous offrir du bon rhum de qualité supérieur à ce qu'on peut retrouver dans d'autres hotels. Chambre : Très grande et propre malgré qu'un peu défraîchie. Honnêtement, c'est bien correct comme cela. Aucun problème. La porte patio barrait bien et le coffre fort. On a toujours eu un beau service. Piscine : Super belle grande piscine pleine de courbe. Nous ne sommes pas des gens de piscine lorsqu'on est sur le bord de la mer (nous étions à la plage toute la journée). Cependant, pour marcher le jour ou le soir et prendre des photos, elle est magnifique. Et ceux qui aiment les piscines l'ont vraiment appréciée. Plage : J'aime les plages désertes où on se sent seul au monde... mais la Pesquero n'est pas ainsi. Plage où on retrouve pas mal de monde et de la musique omniprésente. C'est moins mon style. Cependant, tout le monde est gentil et est là pour relaxer ou socialiser alors c'est ok. Mais pas mon style de plage préférée. Baignade en mer : Facile, beau sable, rien qui pique les pieds. Snorkeling accessible facilement (qualité moyenne). Nous avons connu le magnifique snorkeling de Cozumel, Hawai, Philipinnes, Guadalajara... alors devant le Pesquero, ce n'est pas aussi riche... loin de là. Mais c'est tout de même mieux que d'autre endroits où il n'y a rien. Animation : Très bien pour ceux qui aiment cela. Il y a toujours une activité en marche et les animateurs sont plaisants et amusants. Ma copine aime ces affaires là... moi non. haha. je préfère la paix, le bruit du vent et des vagues plutôt que de la musique, de la voix dans le micro et des gens qui s'animent. Alors ça dépend des goûts. Mais pour ceux qui aiment cela, je trouve qu'ils étaient bons et plaisants. Nous ne pouvons pas évaluer les autres services car on ne les a pas utilisé (disco, spectacles, etc...) Overall : Semaine très appréciée et j'y retournerais sans hésité. Sanctuary White Sands: Beautiful Beach!

Hotel was ok. Didn’t feel new. Needs more staff but I believe resort was at capacity. Long waits at lobby bar. Some staff were inexperienced and also didn’t understand English. Elevator wasn’t working. Beach is lovely but lacks more palapas. Had to go early to reserve lounger with towels or risk not getting one. Found many guests were putting towels on pool and beach loungers to ensure they had a spot each place which seems so unfair. Definitely need more of them. Food was decent for Cuba. A la  [... read more]carte restaurants weren’t worth waiting in line to get a reservation. Same food as buffet basically. Stick to buffet and go when you want as opposed to 8:30 or some insane time. Crazy thing is they weren’t half full even though we asked to go earlier. Made no sense. Not a lot of entertainment in evenings. Bring cards or games. Beds comfortable. Shower nice. Rooms decent although we didn’t have a working lock on our door. Beautiful pool although we didn’t use it and it was a bit cold but that’s just the weather. For the price we paid it was ok but if you expect more I’d say go to a well established resort with great experienced staff. Been to Melia Cayo Coco a few times and found it was worth paying more for but that was many years ago. This place needs time and experience to improve. All in all it’s worth a try. Can’t beat the price for the amazing beach.

Playa Pesquero: Totally Recommend

This a great resort, beautiful grounds, lovely staff, stunning beach. Great coffee from the lobby and good cocktails. Huge pools, separated by a bridge. I would recommend this resort for everyone, families, couples and solo travellers.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Perfect family holiday!

I've been to Cuba many times, but this was my first visit to the resort. There were seven of us in our group, with ages ranging from six to eighty-four, and everyone had a great time. Most people don't rave about the food in Cuba, but we were pleasantly surprised with fabulous local seafood and fresh papayas. There were always many choices and everyone was satisfied. The rooms were comfortable, the beach was perfect for young children, and staff went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful.  [... read more]Next year I will take my own beach towel, because I found the resort towels too big and heavy when wet- plus two of ours "disappeared" on the beach (be very careful with your belongings- this was not our only "loss") and they were expensive to replace. Otherwise, a great week!

Melia Las Americas: Best trip ever!

Not only the staff were great, we made friends all over the world! Food was excellent, Beach amazing and guests were so mature and greeting! I'd go back in a heartbeat! The staff remembered our names and took care of us as royalty! I've never been so spoiled in my life. Thank you Melia!

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Grand Muthu Almirante

Another wonderful vacation! We stayed on the Adult side, great accommodations, wonderful restaurant staff and lovely pool with great loungers. Our butler Jack was charming, very gracious and always trying to help with anything he could. The grounds are immaculate on the entire resort.,The pools all look clean and inviting . The buffet and a la cartes were all enjoyable as well.

Melia Costa Rey: Awesome Resort

This is a great resort! The entertainment crew were amazing! The lobby bar was amazing! The rooms were clean and spacious! The pool and beach were wonderful, just wish there was a little more shade in the pool area! I will definitely be back!

Playa Costa Verde: Relaxing Vacation

Nice resort with good staff. Public areas and grounds are nice and well kept although the public area bathrooms are often out of toilet paper. Beautiful beach. Food was good, and you were always able to find something in the buffet. The a la carte restaurants were a nice change. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The Japanese was our favourite.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Very nice family resort

We stayed at a bungalow and were quite happy with the cleaning, staff who were working at the restaurant and others. The entertainment D.J Gustav was charming. He encouraged everybody to dance and added fun to our nights. Shows each night were unique and amazing! Only one day we had a complaint with the noise around the pool but when we talked to the Hotel manager, it was resolved. We had no problems afterwards.
