Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing beach, incredible staff

Stayed two weeks at memories Caribe in Cayo cocoa. After hearing mixed reviews about Cuba we were very pleasantly surprised by our stay. The beach was amazingly beautiful. Long sandbar allowing guests to walk far especially when tide was out. Beach offers bar and pizza. You have to try the pizza. Food was substantial and average by Canadian standards but well prepared. Choice of large buffet items as well as Chefs who grill your choice of beef pork chicken or seafood. The pasta bar i [... read more]s personally made to order and is fantastic. Lots of choices for breakfast including Smoothies to order with fruit and flavours of your choosing. There is a choice of alecart restaurants (Asian Mediterranean,Cuban) Every restaurant meal was well prepared with superior wait staff but the Mediterranean was our favorite There are a number of bars including a newly opened Bar and snack bar, a Lobby bar,Pool side swimup bar. Our room was spacious,a Mini suite,comfortable king bed, outdoor patio, indoor and outdoor shower. Certainly the highlight of our trip was the staff who were amazing and incredibly attentive. Some guests had issues with intermittent hot water but we had no issues. There was a bank on site and the on site entertainment each evening and day time entertainment staff. The activities and entertainment was excellent as was the variety of excursions available. People we met from other hotels complained of the cleanliness in public areas of their hotel. This was not the case at Memories Caribe. The cleaning staff kept the washrooms and public areas spotless and the grounds keepers kept the grounds beautiful. Special thanks to our gardner Jordan who worked diligently and helped provide coconuts to the guests. Resonance Blu Varadero: Wonderful Resort

I would give this hotel 4 stars. The service is a little slow and the food was bland but the a la carts were amazing!! Staff were amazing, room and view were beautiful! Towels and water had a bad smell. The resort itself and beach were beautiful! At lot of walking. Overall, amazing experience!!! Will be going back next year!!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful stay!

We could not fault anything about our hotel stay. We were upgraded as we had to stay at another hotel the first night due to a water problem at this hotel. We were called about it the day before so we were aware. I liked this hotel better than the first! We had a lovely room, in building 2 and on the second floor. Our balcony looked out on the pool. The buffet did well, but I have come to realize, the food is still never going to be like at home. There was lots of selection though. We enjoyed the snack bar often. The rooms and resort was very clean. The staff were amazing and friendly. The beach was lovely of course. We loved the catamaran ride and the snorkeling at the reef. The market was a let down for sure as was the Beach Party. We did love the fact that the ride from the airport was short. Overall the stay was wonderful.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Had a great time!

We took our 9 year old daughter with us and she absolutely loved the place. Newly renovated hotel, water park was awesome! Shows were pretty good, food was good and rooms were clean. Lots of entertainment during the day for kids as well. We were right beside janitors room so it was pretty loud in am, lots of banging around. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and we would go back!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing resort, best vacation ever!

We were there as a couple from Feb. 12th to the 19th Amazing resort, best vacation ever! Beautiful grounds and pools, beaches, amazing landscaping, lush vegetation, very clean, lovely dining rooms, excellent food at all meals, most friendly and helpful staff always ready to help, always asking what more they can do for you, always great entertainment, very efficient check-in at the reception, all in all, excellent service and we can see why this resort has the Certificate of Excellence. The r [... read more]esort is in need of a little TLC maybe still recovering from 2017 hurricanes (ex. repainting balconies) but when equipment breaks in your room, they tend to get fixed very quickly in general. The service and the staff are so amazing that you forget that this is not a top notch 5 star resort. Definitely planning to go there again next year and will not hesitate to recommend to all my family and friends.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Never again

You get what you pay for I guess. $3,700 for 4 people gets you: Same beach towel all week. Said we could exchange at the clubhouse, but this was closed all week. Put in a request for new towels with reception; never received any. Horrible food even for Cuba standards. Self serve at the buffet was not labelled so didn’t know what half the stuff was. Only the food prepared hot for you was decent, but the same stuff was offered every night. Terrible maid service. Had to leave notes for the m [... read more]aid in order to get fresh towels, bottled water, toilet paper, etc - things that should just automatically be replenished without having to ask! Disgusting public washrooms Half of them were broken/out of order. Ran out of toilet paper by the afternoon. Men’s urinals were clogged and filled with urine. LOTS of mosquitos!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Good Resort

We arrived late at night so we didn't have as memorable of a greeting as some of the other reviews. By the time we had met our Butler we had our dinner reservations made and we didn't really require any other assistance during our stay. We LOVED the Lounge Bar that has some great entertainment every night. ANET and YOAN were attentive and fantastic. Restaurants - we ate all our breakfasts at Ave Del Paraiso (sit down and buffet option in the Adults only section) and it was great. Ging Seng was our favourite dinner restaurant. Don't waste your time at La Violeta. Terrible food and poor service. The beach was wonderful, staff was friendly, and the entertainment was good. We may return to this resort.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful resort

Grounds were beautiful. Resort and rooms were lovely. Way too much difficulty getting the toilet paper replaced in our room more than a few times. Was even left empty several times after room was made up for day. Buffet food was ok. Nothing fabulous. A la carte meals were great. Alexander and the entertainment team at Sanctuary were wonderful.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A Slice of Paradise

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were subject to a friendly and courteous service. The entire resort was prestige. At all times there were a multitude of staff constantly cleaning. It was my first visit but certainly not my last.

Beautiful place, the food is good, great entertainment, amazing beach The Staff at Memories is fantastic!! They are the friendliest and very courteous. They do their best to show you a good time. Bartenders are friendly and well as fun.

I just returned from this resort and we had a few issues. First off when I booked I asked for rooms side by side because I have kids but that never happened! Room were on the same floor but opposite sides of the villa. Didn’t have water a couple days and no hot water a few days! Building 9 is run down and so is the resort! Lobby bathroom was so stinky you had to hold your breath to use it! Other bathrooms had urinals over flowing. No chairs at the pool or the beach. Buffet was not very go [... read more]od and they did not have very much fruit! No bacon all week! But if you like hot dogs you should be alright! Long line ups for the grills and the pasta station! The al la cartel nothing special!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Had a Blast!

Really glad we stayed in the adults only section, it was so much fun and mellow. The staff were great super friendly and fun, the resort was very clean and well kept. we enjoyed the food and dining on the sanctuary side and didn't feel like we needed to go over to the main resort.

Memories Jibacoa: Nice resort

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They tried their very best to provide excellent customer service. Our room was kept very clean and the maid ensured that we always had fresh towels as needed and other supplies. I liked that there were no bugs or mosquitoes to worry about, the beach was lovely but there were a lot of jelly fish this year and we were only able to go into the ocean twice during our one week vacation. My husband and I picked up a flu bug while there and so a few days of our holiday were spent feeling ill, Not sure why as we normally don’t get sick on our vacation.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Good resort for price

Pools and grounds were beautiful and well kept! Service across the entire resort was amazing. Kids club had lots going on that my children enjoyed, especially the mini disco at night. The beach was good with water that had seaweed areas which was good for snorkeling but some people may not like. However there were lots of areas in the water you could go to avoid the seaweed. Lounge chairs were always available. There was always fresh towels as well. Food was fine, typical resort food. Drinks wer [... read more]e good. Rooms are dated and worn. We had hot water every day but there are times in the day were toilets do not work, for an hour or so. Overall we enjoyed this resort. We found it good value for the money we spent. There are lots of stairs which were not a problem for our family (kids 5 and 9 years old).

Grounds are beautiful, pool is great, beach is incredible and entertainment staff is very good. Food is average, breakfast and lunch buffet offer enough choice, but buffet area could use more cleanliness. Butlers are welcoming and helpful, rooms could be updated

Felt like we were part of the resort’s family.... staff is so friendly, accommodating and attentive. Great location to maximize options for day trips. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great vacation

This was our third vacation at this resort and it was great. As usual the staff was excellent, always smiling and their willingness to help is exceptional. The resort is well maintained and nice. The beaches are beautiful, the weather great as always and beats this rough winter we are having. The food has never been a problem for us in Cuba, the food is good, it is different from what we are used to eating, but that is expected and welcomed. The difference we noticed this time is that the Sanctuary part of Grand Memories, seems to have lost a little of its exclusivity, the reason we went back a third time. Not a deal breaker but something we will keep in mind for future booking. Overall a great vacation.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Nice resort in Cuba

Nicely landscaped grounds and pool. The beach is absolutely breathtaking and has a quick drop off for swimming. The lounge chairs need replacing and you can only have one towel at a time, so I’d recommend bring a light chair pad and a towel.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Awesome resort

Hotel was very clean, staff were excellent -- friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any concerns. Beach was very nice but waves quite large most of our week which deterred some people from going in the ocean. Very family/child oriented resort. Lots of activities for children. What I appreciated most was that there was rarely waiting times -- didn't seem overcrowded and there was always lounge chairs, etc. available.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Fantastic stay !!

This was the best all inclusive stay we have ever had. The kids had the time of their lives and my wife and I actually did as well (even with a 3 and 5 year old :). ) The water slide park is a absolutely great time and super fun. I am a chef and I thought the food was very good. Especially the buffets. Michael Jackson show was really well done and the room quality was better than expected.
