Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach: Very Nice Resort

Overall, I thought this resort was quite lovely. Great beach, decent service, good, if not spectacular food. Nice facilities, including bar areas. Really nice grounds with lots of greenery. Music at the main entertainment area at night a bit loud.

Occidental Punta Cana: Well laid out

Picturesque, but the steakhouse was under renos (not indicated on the web.) Need some park benches. Sensor operated air conditioner system not well thought out: my girlfriend has medical issues which require constant cool temps while indoors. Shutting on or off when you enter or leave the unit means wasted time cooling down. Very friendly staff & top notch food & entertainment. Sax player Mozart was unbelievable - should be signed to a label. No non-smoking area sucks.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful resort .

Beautiful resort, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. I didn't like the discrimination between Xhale members and us ordinary folk. (At $70 a day extra per room, it would no longer have been good value) The Exhale restaurant was more than big enough to accommodate every guest. We were given an Xhale room, which was lovely, without the privileges. As we are elderly, we did find the noise level (very loud music) disturbing, around the main pool area - that's where our room was. Riu Merengue: great spot to vacation

resort clean and well maintained.....beautiful gardens, clean beach, clean washrooms even on beach, good food and great service........this was our second time at this resort and we enjoyed just as much this time as the first

IFA Bavaro Village: Great value vacation

The resort is lovely with pools for every taste, food is great and the animation staff put on a fantastic show; however male wait staff are over sexual with young women-husbands keep an eye on your wives

Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach: Pleasantly Surprised

I believe this resort is under rated. The grounds and beach were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. There are a variety of accommodations on the resort and even though our room was quite small and dated, it was well cleaned and supplies were replenished daily. Our travelling companions were in a bungalow, which was very charming. There are only two bars on this large property; however, the bartenders were pleasant and efficient. The buffet had lots to choose from and the Pizza Bar was gre [... read more]at! The hamburgers and hotdogs at the poolside grill were a little undercooked for my liking. There was a language barrier at the front desk and also with the Concierge (there were very few English speaking guests at the resort). Booking Ala Carte dinners was a little bizarre in that they said they couldn't accommodate our companions to accompany us at dinner one evening as our table was only big enough for three people and upon our arrival our table was set for four and the restaurant only had five tables in use during the time we were there. For our second Ala Carte they said they could accommodate all four of us if we would take an earlier reservation, which we did. Upon arrival at the earlier time they advised us they were not quite ready for us and asked us to wait outside for a moment. When we did get in, there were again only a handful of tables in use the whole time we were there. On the up side, the food at the Ala Cartes was quite good. I would be more than happy to return to this resort.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Relaxing Resort

We had an absolutley great time. When we got there I mentioned that I wanted a king bed, and got it including beach front rooms which we were't suppose to get. which was an added bonus. The pool was great and so was the beach, the food at first we thought was a little so so, but as the week went on we had lots to eat and never got hungary. We would definilty recommend this hotel to anybody, and would consider going back. The staff was friendly and very entertaining.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great resort

Nice resort! Lovely beach but you need to go very early to get a chair. We enjoyed ourselves even though we had little bugs in our room. The staff quickly changed our room as soon as they were aware of the situation. Would go back!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Fantastic Vacation

Our hotel was exactly what we wanted. Clean and our balcony was a beach view..perfect. The staff were amazing. We loved the layout of the resort. 2-storey buildings and lots of green walking space. The pool and restaurants all within a few steps of our room.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Great Family Vacation!

We travelled the first week of May. In our family there are 2 adults and a 16 &19 year old. We traveled by Transat and love that airline. Checkin was very quick, we travelled with another family with the same age kids. I had emailed the resort a few weeks ahead and asked if all 4 rooms could be in the same building and on the same floor. The resort is very well layed out, not a far walk to anywhere. A great place for families with small childern.if you had to run back to the room it wasn't far. The grounds are beautifully kept. There are 2 buffets that had different items every evening. We only went to the steak house and really enjoyed it. We preferred the buffet though. The beach grill had nachos, fries, burgers, pasta and so much more. Perfect for afternoon snacking. We went on 2 excursions. The caterman and the dune buggies. We enjoyed both and would highly recommend them. We preferred the beach over the pool. There are lots of umbrellas and chairs. Youdo do have to up early to get the first couple rows of umbrellas. Housekeeping, servers, entertainment teams, lifeguards and all the staff do a great job. Thank you Iberostar for a great family vacation.!!

Very easy to find your way around. Rooms were clean with very good maid service. Grounds were well maintained. Very good food at buffets & al la carte restaurants. Very friendly & helpful staff. Very good service.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful, clean, amazing resort

This hotel had the best drinks, the best buffet, and a beautiful beach with a lot of snorkeling. The servers were very nice, but could not communicate very well with us because they only speak Spanish.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great Honeymoon

Great Honeymoon. Food and staff were wonderful. Beach was great! Did not get bothered for time shares. The only thing that could be improved was the night life. We are not night life kind of people so did not really mind. It was a fabulous vacation !

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Good solid 4*

Grounds very well kept. Clean resort. Nice size so you are able to find your way around. Food was your basic buffet food. Good, no one in our party got sick. Buffet is not set up very good. Gets a little conjested especially on the week-end when the locals come.Brazalian and Italian a la carte were excellent. Mexican was okay. Didn't try the other ones. Rooms were very spacious. Outdated but very clean. Always had hot water. Air conditioning worked great. Mini bar refilled every day. Beach was b [... read more]eautiful. Nice wide beach with shade if you like. Occidental Caribe: Excellent!!!!!

Love this place. This was second trip here and I plan to come back. The beach is amazing! Good selection of food. The French restaurant is the best!!!! The staff are so friendly and the rooms are well kept. Going back again next year.

Grand Palladium Palace: Fabulous

It was excellent good food great pool comfortable bed quiet great bath and whirlpool tub room service was super alcohol was free and abundant breakfast lunch and dinner was easy fast and great tasting and plenty food at all servings

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Staff and food make this resort pleasingly enjoyab

Bartenders are quick and precise Food was very good Golf course was fun and challenging in the wind All the staff are friendly and helpfull Enjoyed the bingo guy I would go back Small enough resort that you meet new friends On both sides of the resort

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort

This complex is absolutely beautiful, so clean and constant care is given to the grounds and buildings! The beach is awesome as well, plenty of palapas and chairs. The pool water was warm which is most enjoyable.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Love this resort

I just love to stay at the Catalonia Bavaro, the beach is great and very peaceful. I love that it is adults only. This was my 6th stay at the resort, so it speaks for itself how I think about it. I look forward to my next visit in November of this year 2014

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort!

Loved all of the space and how open everything was. Food was great and beach was spectacular! Was very clean and well kept. Loved the natural beauty from different plants and animals. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Overall, such a great stay!
