Melia Caribe Beach Resort: The Level is the way to go!

The service was fantastic. The resturant at the level had a great bar area and variety of food. The Golf course was across the street and the mall was very handy. The level area outside at night was peaceful and very relaxing.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Very nice Resort

Just returned from a two weeks vacation at the Gran Ventana. Having read many of the reviews there were no surprises. I agree with most of the reviews, positives and negatives. The place is clean, rooms are spacious, food was good, staff were very friendly and the weather was perfect. So I have no complaints. I believe you can make your holidays whatever you wanted to be. You can complain about the availability of chairs or you can look around until you find one. You can complain about the hard  [... read more]pillows or you can ask them for a softer one. If you cannot find something you like at the buffet, then you should go to a resort where you can have your personal butler and pay for it. I found they will try hard to accommodate your requests. One request they couldn't accommodate is a hot cup of coffee in the morning or hot water for tea. They know that cold water doesn't make hot cup of tea, but guests consume coffee and hot water faster than the resort can boil it. It didn't bother me however since I decided to skip drinking tea all together. Next time I will carry with me one of those small electric water heater and a thermos cup and heat their coffee or make hot water myself. The city tour excursion I took was a highly priced shopping experience. Except for the cable car, the rest I could have done without. So if you are adventurer you can take local transportation to the cable car buy your ticket, spent as much time as you wanted then buy your rum and cigars at the airport or at the beach. Forget about those highly priced precious stones. I consider this as a rip-off waste of money. Internet is not very reliable even after paying $ 20 a week because I thought I would get better internet than the free one that is available at the lobby and the main pool. I wish they do without the free one and provide a reliable internet at a reasonable price. I paid $ 50-60/ week in some other resorts in the area and didn't get any better service. I would be interested to hear from others who could obtain local service using their smart phone as a hot-spot. Entertainment was mediocre at best, but they try hard and it is worth attending if you prefer it over watching TV or chatting with other guests. In general it is no paradise as some guests thought, nevertheless a comfortable and enjoyable accommodation at the right price. I would, at the right price, definitely return again. Room Tip: If you want to avoid the crowd stay in the quite pool complex

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Excellent value for your dollar

This resort is visually beautiful with plenty of spots to relax and enjoy the view. The one downside is the lack of beach chairs but our room was close enough to go down to swim and then return poolside to relax. Food was great with lots of variety. Lots of fruit.Staff were polite and helpful. You must pay for wifi but it wwas not a major problem. Nice to be able to walk out to explore Sosua

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great trip!

The beach was amazing! The resort was well kept and had good food at all the restaurants. The place was quiet while we were there, with most of the people staying at the time being 50 or over. The gym was poor and didn't measure up to the level of other amenities on the resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Heaven on earth

It was fantastic, the people were great especially the pool staff. The grounds were outstanding and very well maintained. The room were spacious , cozy and kept very clean. The food was delicious as was the al a carte restaurants. All the staff were exceptional they went above and beyond to make us feel at home and part if their family. This was my first all inclusive trip but definitely not my last!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing Resort

Excellent dining experience, good shows, excellent beach, beautiful rooms and excellent service. Friendly environment, we will go back any time. Actually it was recommended by family members that have stayed there before and are very satisfied with it.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Very good resort

Grounds were beautiful.. Food was great.. Entertainment could be better.. Mosquito at nite were bad... Upgraded room was awesome.. Pool was wonderful... Bars were great.. Location was amazing as beach is beautiful

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent resort!

Huge resort with enough space and diversity for everyone! Food was excellent! Tons of pools and great beach! Great service. So much effort put into entertainment, which was excellent! Only complaint are the rooms- the one I stayed in was clean but outdated, with VERY thing walls- I could hear the neighbours' conversations and more... Just embarrassing for both us and them. Overall though I would recommend it because there are a lot of other good things and I had a wonderful time!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort!

This was our second visit to the Iberostar Costa Dorada. After our first visit, we knew we had to return. We were not disappointed. From our return customer bottle of rum to the great staff/service there, everything was great. The beach was not crowded so we could find a palapa any time of the day. Food was very good with different variety daily. Not the same old, same old every day. Theme nights were fun. Grounds were kept immaculately. Great place to visit.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Beautiful and well maintained Resort.

The grounds, rooms and restaurants were immaculate and the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Th beach was beautiful and clean and a joy to walk on any time of day. The choice of food was plentiful and delicious.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Vacation..Amazing Resort..Amazing Team

My Vacation was for two weeks, I traveled alone, and I felt safe on the resort. Reception and lobby were very welcoming. The room was beautiful with a king size bed sitting area, and a Jacuzzi tub. The house keeping staff was wonderful, and always provided me with extra towels for my long hair. The room was always clean, by the time I went up for lunch. The Pool Bar staff knew my drink after the first day, and when they saw me coming, it was already on the counter for me. Now that’s Great Serv [... read more]ice. The food was tasty and a nice variety. I like that they also provided a good ethnic choice of food at most of the sittings. This vacation for me was for relaxation and the fact that there was not much hop-la and commotion was great. The pool side music was at a good level, the only thing was the pool chairs always seemed to be scarce. I am not a morning person, so if you come out after 7 am the lounge chairs were gone. OH WELL… I guess I need to wake up earlier. The Night Entertainment Team was always Great; and the shows were Amazing. Disco was fun and plenty of room to dance. There was a Carnival Night, which I did not go to, as there was an additional charge for that, I felt it was a bit much to ask for $15.00 USD cover, when I paid quite a bit to stay at the resort. Overall impression was Wonderful, and I will be going back. I would give the Bahia Principe Esmeralda 5 Stars

Whala Bavaro: Great price, Great location, Great resort!

Wonderful resort! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. the Resort itself was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. The rooms (I stayed twice in 2 different rooms) were small but cozy, colourful, clean and had balconies. Housekeeping was attentive but limited, I recommend requesting extra toiletries at check-in to save a trip later. The location was great, right beside the resort's beach bar/snack bar and of course the beach! The resort's restaurant was simple buffet, definitely not [... read more]hing extravagant but sufficient for the price and the evening beach BBQ's are incredible! We had a great time and went twice within two months we enjoyed Whala so much!

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Beautiful resort

This was a wonderful trip great service. Food. The resort was very clean and well maintained. We would absolutely plan another visit. I have nothing negative to say. We have told friends about this resort and Ky coworker has already visited. She also enjoyed her stay.

Paradise Playa Dorada: My happy week

Excellent service and very clean entertainment areas staff always helping in different necesites of customers. I would recommend to anyone to stay no fo une week but at least two weeks. Entertainment staff the best I have eve seen in different resorts I visited

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful Holiday!

This is a beautiful resort! We had a nice room. King bed and a very nice bathroom. We asked to be moved to another room upon arrival. It was a bit run down and it had 2 queen beds. The management was happy to switch our rooms. This resort is quite spread out.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Fifth Visit

I was very pleasantly surprised at the many upgrades that had occurred since my last vacation at the Riu Bachata. New curtains, bed spreads and especially the quality of the food. We ate all of our meals at the buffet. The quality of the food was excellent, especially the night they had the prime rib roast... so tender. The manager was always walking around visiting with all of the hotel guests, asking if everything was ok, were we enjoying our vacation, did we have any complaints. I think this  [... read more]is a top notch resort and look forward to going back.

Grand Palladium Palace: Awesome resort

We had great accommodations with extremely friendly staff willing to go the extra mile for us. This was our fourth visit here so you can see we were pleased to return. The grounds were immaculate. The food was excellent and there was lots of variety. The beach was clean and one could walk for miles. This place was a paradise in the Caribbean! If you consider going here, you will not be disappointed.
