The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful CLIFF Resort

Like the other reviews, this Spectacular Resort has ALLOT of stairs and walking, and I should know as I walk for a living (15-20 km per day), but by the end of the week, even I was tired of the treks each day. The elevator to the beach is nice and fairly quick to get, but overall a nuisance. The beach is nice but short and sometimes hard to get a good spot, and the cabanas are very hard to secure, so get there early. (And try to use it the entire day as nothing is more aggravating than seeing on [... read more]e stay empty all day so the occupants can use it for an hour in the evening) We were disappointed in the beach bar, which didn't have a good selection nor seemed to be able to open with the food at the proper time, which meant a trip all the way back to your room to change then to the buffet. THE POSITIVES: The views are SPECTACULAR The grounds are IMPECCABLY kept and there is always a grounds crew manicuring the area. The Staff are very courteous and helpful (many only speak Spanish, but will get someone for you if you don't) The Rooms were clean and well maintained, however, the hotel rooms seemed small a little smelly, like mildew, hallways too, which you have to go through to get to the lobby, unless you take the shuttle. The Food was very good with a nice selection to chose from. Mosquitoes were present, but not terrible, bring repellant. Samana is within walking distance if you are up to it, or take a shuttle, and is quite a quaint little town with many things to see. For explorers...there is a beautiful walk with bridges made to the adjacent islands that is worth the trip. THE NEGATIVES: Bring walking shoes...there is A MILLION STAIRS, and the shuttles are fairly frequent but usually fills up quickly. The hours for the buffet were pretty good, but there wasn't a lot of options when they were closed. The bridges to the islands are falling apart, (50 or more years old) so while the views are worth the trip there is a little concern over safety and there is allot of garbage on the rocky beaches on each island (THIS IS NOT PART OF THE RESORT) We took one of the excursions to the jungle (AGAIN...NOT PART OF THE RESORT) that had a long, long, long boat ride there and back, which seemed to more about drinking rum on the boat than anything else, although the actual caves and flora were very enjoyable. Finally, we went into Samana for a day, and were sad that we had arrived late in the season and many of the shops had closed for the year, so keep that in mind, also I got a great hair cut for $7.00 US that took the guy 30 minutes to do and was well worth the time and experience. While this resort got a 4.5 star rating when we went, I think it is closer to a 3.5 star to perhaps a 4 star, but still we really enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend seeing it.

Riu Palace Macao: Fabulous resort!!

I have been there three times and look forward going back there again and again. I love it's layout, its so beautiful and practical. The Hotel is fresh and clean, gives great service and has such pleasant staff, good entertainment and excellent cuisine.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Good value just not quite 4 stars.

This was my third trip to the Dominican Republic. Having said that, you can expect the people to be friendly and the country to be beautiful. This resort was a little older and in need of some updates. There were plenty of options for even the most finicky eaters. I would recommend the buffet over the ala carte for most nights, but lunch at the beach was always enjoyable. If you are looking for a smaller resort with good food and drinks this is your place. The wifi should have been included (all [... read more]-inclusive resort by definition), but that's pretty low on my list of must haves. Samana was everything we hoped but there are nicer resorts in the area if you can afford them.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing resort and staff

We loves this resort. It was beautiful. The restaurants were all great. The staff were so friendly and helped to make our trip most memorable! Loved the pool and drinks of the day! Would reccomend to anyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: great resort

The beach was awesome. Wonderful service . The food was very good . The grounds are besutiful .rooms just average . The best food out of all dominican resorts we have been to . House keeping excellent .we will definetly be returning .

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: wonderful vacation

We loved this spot! A group of 10 of us went and everyone had a great time. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time at the beach because we were travelling from pool to pool, which were all great. The sea lion excursion was fantastic! Wide variety of food to choose from, staff were all friendly, grounds beautiful and the stairs helped burn off the calories from over indulging! We would definitely go back.

Occidental Punta Cana: Great time

My Daughter and I, did a four day stay, it was her first time at an all inclusive, the food, pool, room, were all first class, the staff were very friendly, and the entertainment amazing, we hope to return someday with the whole family.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: awesome time

Very clean resort great food and entertainment was good for the young and old one of my best trips yet would return again soon..........................................................................

Grand Palladium Palace: I would go back

Overall an enjoyable stay. Food was excellent, especially the japanese restaurant. Buffets were very good. Shows in the evening were entertaining and activity staff were great. Pools and rooms need some work, looking a little worn.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Nice for the price

The grounds were nice and the beach was nice, however not enough shade there is no papilla's to sit under if you don't get a spot under the few trees you are baking all day. They do cater to the returning year after year travelers which really is not fair if you do for one you should do for all! The standard rooms are small and right beside the pool if you like to stay up till the wee hours of the morning then this is the room for you way to noisy. All in all it wasn't bad for the right price I would go back I would upgrade to a different room or just request one away from the pool.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Place for a relaxing vacation

The beaches were beautiful and there was alway something to do: nightlife, activities during the day. The food was excellent, and the people who worked there were so nice! Fully recommend to anyone who is looking to vacation!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: great prices!

went to puerto plata, dom rep, through trip central, great prices, easy to navigate website, and overall great customer service, the staff at the resort were great, weather was nice, food was pretty decent, great nightly entertainment, highly recommend!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful resort!

The hotel was fantastic and the grounds were immaculate! The staff was very courteous and accommodating - it made us feel very special. This was a trip for myself and my daughter after losing my husband. We enjoyed ourselves and as travelling for the first time alone, felt very comfortable and safe at all times.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort

Except for the fact that an accessible room was not available for the first two days of our holiday the resort was one of the finest I have ever had the honour of staying in. The food, fabulous, the staff, most courteous, the accommodations excellent.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Just okay

Overall it was an okay resort. We arrived late at night (11:00) and didn't have anyone to greet us. We went with another couple and asked to be in the same villa however they were unable to accommodate us. The next day they were able to move our friends into a villa across the path. The rooms were pretty nice. We stayed on the family side and I'm honestly happy I didn't spend the extra money to stay on the adults only side as they didn't have many extra perks. The pool was nice and large and had a swim up bar. The restaurants were not that great. The best one was probably the Italian one. The beach was pretty and was always clean. I really enjoyed all the wild life that was on the resort. Next time I think I will go somewhere else

Wanted to get bigger room couldn't should be more pools the beach was wonderful food was great service wonderful staff helpful would go back when I go back would like to try the swim up rooms and would be great for a family trip

Occidental Punta Cana: Had a great time

Went down here Feb 2014 with a buddy and had a great time. The food was good, resort was clean, and the staff were friendly. All in all I found it was good value for the price we paid. The Magu was fun also, and a great pizza joint on the resort which is open all night (came in handy a few times)

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: nice resort..could be better..

room and location was very nice...almost right on the beach...room service was very slow and food quality could have been much better...in most cases, hot food was not hot...language barrier led to many orders not being accurate...wifi too expensive...staff was very friendly in most cases but when asked for help, the communication to the specific staff to get things done was very poor...

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Lovely resort!

The grand oasis was absolutely beautiful. The scenery was outstanding to see. The set up and style of the resort was very nice as Well! The overall atmostsphere was very pleasant to be in and was quite a lovely stay for all of us. The entertainment lacked a little bit but the cancun strip wasn't too far away which made up for it as we were able to leave the resort and find other forms of entertainment.

Occidental Punta Cana: A Fine Resort

This 4 star resort is as advertised. Nothing spectacular, but nothing wrong either. Beach is glorious. Grounds were impeccable. Pools were huge and clean. Food was very good. You can walk for kilometers along the waterfront (both directions)
