Restaurants are perfect. Diversity of foods and fruits and drink. Environment in this hotel is excellent. Employees there are very nice and polite. The shows at night is very attractive. We will go there again next year definitely.

Grand Oasis Sens: Worth 2.5 star

First off, we arrived at the resort at 10:30am and was told to wait until 3pm to check-in. When we returned at 3pm, we were told to wait another hour because our room was not ready. Once checked-in, the room had a musky smell. Floor was not swept. Bathtub still had hair from previous guest. Room was humid and AC was not working properly. When the temp was turned down to 15 degrees Celsius, the room still read 24 degrees Celsius. The maid only makes your bed and does not replenish water, toilet p [... read more]aper unless you ask for them. At some point, it took them 4 days to replenish our water bottles although they specified that it was only done every 2 days. The customer service at the reception area was inexistent. This hotel is not even close to 3 star.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Not the best

We had a horrible first day. We got there early in the day and check in wasn’t until 3pm. We made the best of it, had our bags held, walked the grounds but all we really wanted was a room to relax and change after a long day of travel. It was so unorganized. The lines were ridiculous and after the 4th time of them trying to book us in, we got a room we didn’t want. I had specified a king bed.. got 2 doubles. There was also a joining door held shut by 2 screws and The phone didn’t work [... read more]. We complained and 7 hours after arriving, we had a room with a king size bed. The ceiling in the tub moved when you touched it, had a piece missing in the corner. The bed was comfortable though. And the phone worked. The fridge was only filled every 2nd day and it only had 4 bottles of water, 4 soda in it. One day only it had 2 beer. I had to buy alot more water at the store. The food was good, but most of the time you had to stand in lines lasting hours. We had a blue bracelet (which most people did) the purple were the “lite grand” they had even less options then us. If you didn’t have a black bracket which was part of the pyramid it was like you were shunned! Employees turned you away at certain bars while the others were a 25 minute wait. If you don’t upgrade you are a nobody at this resort. Very disappointing.

Smart Cancun By Oasis: Clean, Modern Hotel Conveniently Located

Our room was large and modern and cleaned very well every day. The air conditioner worked perfectly. All of the staff greeted us daily with a smile and a "buenas dias". The hotel is fairly modern with a nice pool/terrace area. The pool area was almost like a micro climate...always a nice breeze. The food at the hotel was surprisingly cheap and good. What I loved about the hotel was the location...close to the major local bus routes to go to the hotel zone (beaches) etc., close to the main bus st [... read more]ation (for out of town trips) and a large super market where we bought our daily supplies. We walked to most places in Cancun: Parque de las Palapas (for some cheap Mexican meals), Mercado 28 the largest tourist souvenir market, Kabah Park etc. It was all within a 20-25 min. walk (or less). Although all of the staff were friendly, I do want to mention Anselmo (so sweet and always smiling) and one of the women at front desk....wish I could remember her name. She spoke very good English and was very helpful and friendly. We were a bit disappointed that the gym was closed during our stay but it wasn't a deal breaker. There was a huge rainstorm the Tuesday prior to our visit and they were still dealing with the aftermath. I did get trapped in one of the bathroom cubicles in the pool area...but I laughed it off. It makes for a good story as I tried to slither my body under the door to escape. I wasn't in there too long and one of the staff "set me free"! Not sure how often they have entertainment by the pool, but on Thursday and Friday there were two very good entertainers who played from 5-7. One was an Argentinian duo the other I think from Jamaica. Both were excellent. There is a little bit of room for improvement: only one bath towel is provided...have to ask for more. Every day, it seems something is missing from the daily room maintenance...coffee, water etc. Have to ask and wait around for it to be delivered. Should really get those locks sorted out at the pool washrooms so people don't get locked in. All in all - a very satisfactory hotel in a great, central location. Would definitely stay there again.

The Sens Cancun: Couldn't pay me to stay here again

I am not a wordly traveler, but I have been to Cuba 3 times, Jamaica twice, and Mexico before. This was by far the worst place I have stayed. Starting with the front desk on my arrival I was disappointed. Having arrived late due to weather, I was expecting that my sister would already be registered. she flew from Toronto. There was even an extra fee for the room safe. The hotel and room were dated to say the least. It did seem clean. We woke in the middle of the night to a flooded bathroom, the toilet was leaking. Which they did fix quickly when we called. The food tasted fine, but everything was constantly cold at the buffet. If you wanted to eat in the a la cart restaurant, you could only make reservations at 4 on the day of. Ive never stayed in a place were you didnt make all your reservations at once. Alcohol was bottom shelf, you could pay extra for better wine. Why when you've already paid alot to be there. When it rained the ceilings leaked. which made it unsafe to walk in certain areas. The only redeemable quality about the place, were the people (besides the desk clerk) the servers, cleaning staff, bartenders, gardeners, were all very friendly and hard working. I would never go back though

Grand Oasis Sens: Great reaort

Service was awesome, hotel was well kept. We really Enjoyed our stay for a week. Would recommended to friends and family . Location was very convenient close to lots of amenities and daily Activities. Locals and other tourists were very helpful and friendly.

Grand Oasis Sens: Has potential but poorly run

I really don't want to be writing this as I hate writing reviews like this. Here goes, the rooms, just wow, the smell was unbearable and everything leaked including shower taps that sprayed the entire shower room. Sink facets leaked, toilet constantly ran. Room has mold and mildew, I know this for a fact as mold is my only allergy and they won't not let us switch rooms so I was wheezing and coughing the whole 7 days. Next, all inclusive??? Far from, seems like everywhere my partner and I ended u [... read more]p that was less party and more relax (cigar lounge, the box) there was always something we needed to pay for or wasn't included in our stay. Room service was an additional charge too. We felt so restricted on our vacation. Restaurants were either closed or impossible to get into. Always line ups and waits..who wants to sit in a line up every time they feel like eating while on vacation!? They say to recycle the drink cups but instead the collect them and REUSE them after rinsing them with ONLY water. Let's just say I came home from vacation with my very first lip blister thanks to this place. Everyone we talked to also complained about everything I've mentioned thus far but mainly the rooms and poor service as the resort is incredibly understaffed. The restaurant and bar near the secret pool was always closed, the Maki taco restaurant was also never open. If you like slow service, broken and dirty everything, bad smells and very little to eat on your vacation then this place is perfect. To top it off the alcohol tasted like gasoline and burns your eyes if you try to take a sip. If you can drink it, you'll definitely get drunk but consuming it is the challenge. Good thing I like beer. Oh that reminds me, mini bar in your room consists of only two beers that are pry off and don't supply you with a bottle opener to even drink your two beers. The staff were nice, some were able to help and some just couldn't wait to go home. Pretty sure we could have made a palm tree with all the tree debry at the bottom of the pool. Pavement is very uneven so be careful when you walk. I feel horrible writing this and don't want to but I dont get much time to take vacations and can rarely afford to so this was more upsetting than anything. I couldn't even be mad because I was just so disappointed. This resort has great potential and a wonderful theme but failed to execute it's true purpose. My partner and I are very easy going people and always look for the positives in everything but we were disappointed and came home feeling everything but relaxed and refreshed. I really hope they put money towards the rooms and rest of the resort as it has the potential to be amazing! The food at the box and sunset restaurant were amazing and very well done!! Highlight of the trip! Food was delicious when received.

Grand Oasis Palm: Great Time!

We travelled as a group with 8 adults and 3 children (4,3 and 2) This was our 4th consecutive trip as a group. 3rd time to Mexico but first time to Cancun. This resort was amazing for children and families! We loved that some many are snack bars and food restaurants were open all day. The staff were so good with our kids, very helpful and patient. My 4yr old actually turned 5yrs while were there and the staff went over and beyond at the buffet to help set up and party for him. He was so happy a [... read more]nd so excited. There is so much for kids of all ages to do at this resort. My 4yr old and 3yr old loved the balloon animal maker!! The resort is clean, the food is good and we noticed while walking the beach that our beach was well kept compared to others. I would definitely reccommend this resort to other families. Grand Oasis Palm: Great Family Resort

We travelled with 8 adults and 3 kids ranging from 2-5 years old and there was something for everyone. The grounds were gorgeous and the property is oceanfront. Rooms were clean and not musty smelling.

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Great Deal for the Money!

Overall I enjoyed my stay & I would stay here again, however I have lower standards. I booked this 4 day vacation, just to get away from the snow & enjoy SUN! The hotel is locally in downtown & a very short walk from restaurants and supermarket. The outdoors area is beautiful with private cabanas, music & bar. I travelled alone, but was easily able to meet others. My bed was comfortable, but that was the only good thing about my room. My linens had stains, my bath towels were old and s [... read more]tained, the “shower” was the worst. Old bathtub with shower head from the wall, but not high enough for a tall person, also no shower curtain. The toilet wasn’t cleaned properly upon check-in either. I didn’t complain about any of things, just made notes for this review. Wifi is decent enough throughout the hotel & pool area The staff are friendly and the bar food is good. However I got to lay out in the sun & come home with a tan, so I’m happy. Next time I would request a room with an actual shower stall & clean linens. Beach access: I purchased a day pass to the sister resort - Grand Oasis Cancun for 660mxn. It includes shuttle to/from and access to restaurants, bar & beach but No Wifi. I enjoyed my time at the beach, meeting new people. But the service on the property was very poor. Bad attitudes from check-in & restaurant staff. I wouldn’t stay here.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Very relaxing !!

This was our first time in Mexico and it was beautiful !The food was very good and lots of selection. My husband has a cane due to a recent knee replacement so our room was on the ground floor to make things easier for him. The ocean was warm and the sunrise was spectacular! I would be happy to recommend this resort.

Grand Oasis Sens: Grand oasis sens in Jan/Feb

The beach is AMAZING and Antonio at the beach bar, was the hardest working person we met at the resort. He was super friendly and remembered our drinks by the second day. The 3 pools are great but not heated; we preferred the hidden pool as it had great Bali beds and a deep pool, great for swimming. Our room on the second floor was a little humid because there are no windows or balcony and didn't seem to air out much. Especially since we had to dry our wet bathing suits in the bathroom everyday. [... read more] However once the air conditioner was on, it helped a bit. The entertainment by the main pool at lunch was so so: lap/poll dance lessons, water volleyball, free short massages; nothing that truly interested many people. The foam party on the Saturday was a lot of fun! The service was great but could use a bump up since it seemed the tipping made a big impact. We had an issue with our safe and after visiting the front desk to ask for help, security came to our room and fixed it within 5 mins. The "coffee and me" place had great coffee and snacks through out the day and late snacks from 11pm to 2 am. Sakura was the best restaurant we ate dinner at, each course was delicious. You need to make a reservation for it but we managed to get in 2 times during our 7 night stay. The next best restaurant is "The Box" which had a crazy reservation system but worth it. We had to stand in line from 6pm to get a 7pm reservation for that same day. They only have 2 seating times 7 and 8:30 and each holds about 20 people. The other two dinner options for us non Sian Kaan guests, were Moonlight which had a great salad bar and Italian a la la carte dishes, and Coba which was an international buffet, food was good at both. Lunch options: Sushi Bar was really good, we ate at it almost everyday. Maria Bonita was the only place where you can order "authentic" Mexican food which was delicious. Hippie Chick was good too but served more greasy good like burgers and fries which we didn't really care for. We emailed ahead of time and informed the hotel it was my birthday and they went out of their way for us. Prepared a special 4 course dinner and served it at Moonlight since Sakura is closed on Wednesdays. They also surprised us with a bottle of champagne and cake in our room. On Thursdays, everyone at the resort is invited to party on a pirate ship off the resort. The party can get pretty wild and drinks and some snacks are included. We were bussed there and back returning around 3 am. The other nights, entertainment is hit or miss. Overall, we had a great time. There were things that weren't perfect but we thought it was great value for what we paid. We met great people and will have lots of memories.

This hotel is great it’s my second time staying here there’s lots of options and the staff are amazing. My only complaint is they had the party zone booked off for three days so from Friday-Sunday we were not allowed to access that part of the resort there was Punjabi music blasting for three days straight it over powered the other music at the pool and if we wanted to go to the ocean we had to walk all the way to the other side of the resort so I was pretty disappointed in that. Grand Oasis Riviera: Really Beautiful Resort

The resort is beautiful and well kept.Our room was clean and the beach was gorgeous. The only thing we felt was a let down was that they had really nice restaurants but they were under staffed so we didn't get the service that the restaurants should have had. This was our second time going and the first time the restaurants were great. It seemed like there had been some changes to them. The Pyramid Cancun: Wasn’t like before..

I’ve been to this resort 3 times now and loved it the first 2 times. I understand they want to be the #1 party resort and have all the entertainment. Which is ok, the shows in the main lobby are a must see! But the fact that the food has gone downhill is pretty sad, we saw so many people upgrade their bracelets to The Pyramid. Very clean and great place to stay and great staff would recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to stay in town. There's a mall close buy and grocery stores near buy. Close to resraunt and bars …........................................,.,,.,.,,..,...,..,.........................................

The Pyramid Cancun: Resort was great! Food was mediocre

Hotel was good. We got room upgrades fornocean view which was nice. However they didnt give us the right bracelet we paid for and some restaurants initially wouldnt accept our bracelet for entry. Food on this resort is mediocre. Trip central does a good job on making bookings easier and is my go to.

Oh Cancun On The Beach: Basic Resort with few Amenities

We just returned from the Oasis Lite and found the resort simply OK. 3 days in we paid to upgrade to the black wristbands which was necessary because the food options with the Lite were simply awful. Factor that into the price or you will be disappointed. Food is the biggest disappointment at this resort. They don’t even have guacamole or pico de gallo!!! Rooms were ok. Very basic. Old and worn down. Almost no furniture in the rooms but the Beds were extremely comfortable! One of the [... read more] worst things about this resort is the constant noise. The music never turns off and it never changes. Imagine constant never ending techno music. There is no where on the resort that is quiet...ever! The pools are so cold, the ocean is way warmer! The drinks are so hit and miss from one bar to the next. Some were great, others simply undrinkable and you just tossed and tried another place. Finally, I was very disappointed in how many of the bartenders overserved extremely intoxicated people. To the point where people were getting into troubling and precarious situations.

The Sens Cancun: Family oriented resort

This is a Family oriented resort for sure! Pros: - Perfect beach with calm waves, really one of the best Lagoon in Cancun, our kids loved it; - Perfect pools, our kids loved it; - Food selection is good, multiple morning buffets, lunch, snack bars, etc, we loved it; - Multiple restaurants available for the evening "quality dining out". See food and Mexican restaurants at it's best. Highly recommend Shrimp soup and Squid in it's own ink :); - No lines, no issues, no problems booking "a la [... read more] carte" restaurants or securing the buffet tables, just avoid rush hours :); - Staff is extremely friendly; - Very safe hotel, security staff and cameras available in every area; - Coffee Shop excellent; - Check in/out smooth and fast; - Based on our request, check out time was extended till 13.00 at no charge. Cons: - Charging 7 USD a day for a room deposit box, really? - No minibar included, only bottled water - No free WiFi, really? - Beer (Dos Equis), not sure are they watering it in the Hotel, or ordering low quality beer at the factory, Hm... - Coffee offered during the breakfast just terrible; - Miniclub was not what we expected, very limited in terms of swimming pool and activities available. Again: Staff is extremely friendly, people, make sure you tip these hard working helpers/bartenders/waiters/etc. Overall this was very pleasant trip for our Family, parents and 2 kids.

Grand Oasis Sens: Very Disappointed

I was very excited to stay at the Grand Oasis Sens, the location on the beach was excellent but that was it. Biggest complaint is the lack of food options. Breakfast was the only time you could eat at the buffet, not at lunch or dinner. The buffet was OK but nothing special. Lunch had 3 choices, Mexican; food was fine but why did we have to sit inside? It had a very nice outdoor patio but they didn't open it for seating so we sat indoors in our wet bathing suits! Second option was the I [... read more]talian which is the only place readily available for dinner so we didn't want to have both lunch and dinner at the same place each day. Last option was a little BBQ area, which is where we ate almost every lunch. Dinner options were a joke! We arrived on Friday evening, Saturday morning I tried to make reservations. The first available reservation was Wednesday! And then they wouldn't let me make a 2nd reservation until after Wednesday past, therefore I only ever got to make one reservation for dinner. First dinner option was "The Box" which only had 2 seatings a night of about 15-20 people each. If you didn't line up before the first seating you were out of luck, they sat people for the 7:00 seating and took names for the 8:30 seating, so if you didn't get there at 7 to put your name down you didn't eat at 8:30. The only other restaurant was Moonlight which was "Italian". There were always seats available there but we had to wait up to 40mins sometimes. We ate at Moonlight 5 out of the 7 nights we were at the resort, not out of choice but because we didn't have any other options. There were 2 other restaurants but they cost an additional $65USD per person! That's a lot of money considering its supposed to be ALL Inclusive, and the food at resorts isn't remotely good enough to justify that cost. My other huge concern was security. The beach vendors had full run of the resorts roped off beach area. They hung around the bar, drank report beer and socialized with the staff all day. More than once they asked guests if they wanted to buy drugs or smoke weed. I reported one of these incidents to the front desk, (with a photo of the particular vender ) she said she would call someone. Ten minutes later a security guard came down to the beach, said hello to all the venders, including the one I reported, and then watched as the same guy that I reported walked up into the resort to "use the bathroom" . Obviously the vendors have far too great of access to the resort and guests. Another minor issue was that the bed sheets were too short for the mattresses and couldn't be tucked under at the foot of the bed. I hated sleeping with my feet on the rough, scratchy mattress.
