Moon Palace Cancun: Third time in Mexico, least favorite spot

We chose this resort for the golf course and for that reason it worked out well. Overall our stay was pleasant as we were not expecting a spectacular beach - but the pool areas ended not quite as expected. Sunrise is too crowded, never a chair.... Nuzic is nice enough but still quite busy. Grand was the best for us but a long way from our room in Sunrise. The staff is what makes this resort - they are all amazing. Disappointing: 1. FOOD - definitely not even 3 star - except the Italian place at the golf course - it was exceptional. 2. Didn't once see a Mexican band. We could have been at any destination....no distinct Mexican character. Sadly, we came back missing Mexico. 3. Communication RE entertainment - nothing displayed on TVs or handouts...had to seek out the info daily...not so fun on such a huge property. Trip over to Beach Palace was worth it - nice little spot over there, but busy too.

Isla Mujeres Palace: Isla Gem

The Isla Mujeres Palace is outstanding on many levels. Friendly, efficient staff make every effort to make your stay exceptional. The resort rooms and public areas are well designed and beautifully decorated. The restaurant buffets and à la carte are varied and delicious. I was very happy to find an array of hot sauces in a range of heat for all tastes. The beach area is lovely with Palm trees, a long dock with a palapa along with a view of Cancun in the distance. The bar mixed excellent drinks with fresh fruit where required and even mixed our own creation of coconut icecream, banana, Baileys, Kahlua and Cognac! More dessert than drink and as yet unnamed. Location is great as well. It is very close to the turtle farm, Dolphin Experience, Punta Sur, Casa Mendaca, Garafon Park and several beach clubs we didn't try. It is a fabulous resort and easy to reach from Cancun. We loved it.

We went to moon palace on July 13 and stayed for 7 days with 14 family members. This resort was amazing for us! It is very large, the largest resort we have been to! However the buses and carts are fairly easy to access and we loved walking after the large meals! We would give everything about the resort a 5 star except for the beach. The water is murky but there is an area where you can walk out into the ocean for a fair length on a sandy floor. The food and drinks were very good. Our fav [... read more]ourite restaurant was Momo's (especially the tempanyaki table). Some of the shows in the evening were good, and others were just ok. My one recommendation for the resort is to have a better teens club. They need to have more activities that are suitable to specific ages (eg. 13,14 year olds) and different programs for 16,17 year olds). All in all, from the ages of 9 to adults into the 70's, all had a good time.

Moon Palace Cancun: Overall nice resort

Beautiful resort that was well maintained and exceptionally clean. Rooms were nice however beds were very small not 2 queen size so not ideal sleeping for family of 4. This was huge resort that seemed like 3 resorts in one. It might not be ideal for elderly and with really young children if you want to explore all the restaurants at 3 sections. If you go after 7:30pm it was very long waits. The time spent during check in process was atrocious and needs improvement. Beach was beautiful and did not smell like seaweed as I saw in other reviews. There was seaweed in water but my family still went in and enjoyed. They had huge tractors that tried to remove some seaweed.

Moon Palace Cancun: Clean, Nice Staff, Fantatic

Food was amazing, staff was great, and the room was clean. It was a little far from some of the items, so there was a bit of a bus travel on the paid trips, but really was a great time. Although the resorts are split up, the bus's are always there to pick you up.. You're never waiting more then 5 minutes.

Isla Mujeres Palace: Great resort for people wanting total relaxation

Small resort, great food, beach, pool area. Great service. No line ups anywhere, no waiting for a shady spot on beach or pool. No real entertainment to speak of, which suited us fine. Not a place for young people unless you like to leave the resort. Was great for us, not looking to party. Would definitely go again some day. Sun Palace Hotel: Nice resort with good service

The grounds were clean well maintained. The grounds were rather small but beach was beautiful and can take long walks along the beach. The food and service in all areas was excellent. All very friendly.

Beautiful and very clean rooms also lobby and bar very well-kept. Excellent service from staff , very good variety in restaurants and food . The best all-inclusive resort I've ever stayed at. Would you recommend this to any couple.

Sun Palace Hotel: Exceeds all expectations

Everything was superb and the staff at the hotel made it even more sensational. Every couple deserves a vacation like this. We'll be back again next year. The dining, the view, beach, rooms, spa, service and the pristine cleanliness made it a fabulous holiday.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Bad Start...But Did Get Better!

Read many mixed reviews before choosing, so my expectations were not too high, just needed a quiet place for my husband and I to unwind and relax. Bel Air was perfect for this as it was not too busy. Clean, comfortable room, lovely pool and good food. However, there was only a buffet on Friday and Saturday evening (when they get a bit busier) and not through the week, which is in contradiction to them advertising a buffet. Food was good. Moon Palace Cancun: Not impressed.

We did not like the distance from our room to anything at the resort. With a 3 and 6 year old it was 500m to anything. Waiters always pushing to drink. There was no personel feeling when dealing with staff. They lie about how we can spend resort credits. Room service was a 2hr wait. Don't think we would ever go back.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Off the beaten path and worth the trip

The Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya is a resort different from most. Tucked away in a jungle-like stetting between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, lies this intimate, modest resort. After leaving the front desk and lobby, you soon find yourself peering into a zoo-like setting with lions and jaguars, then a bird sanctuary, monkeys and crocodiles.The grounds are unlike most you would find in Riviera Maya, with villas scattered and not the towering mega complexes you find elsewhere. One of my fa [... read more]vourite aspects was the very large ceynote on the resort, where you can swim, snorkel and kayak in pristine water. A great place to get away from it all...and possibly come across the manatees that come to visit every once in a while. The room I was assigned to was clean, with a generous two person jacuzzi , thatched roof and a bar fridge, stocked with beer, water and sodas that were replenished daily. The balcony was large with a hammock, table and chairs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were abundant....it's hard to go wrong with Mexican food! Drinks were made well. This resort is not the party-type resort. The one lobby bar closes by midnight and there are no late night snacks available, so keep this in mind and eat well during dinner!Also keep in mind that there is no nightly entertainment as well, but it is easy to take a collectivo (public mini buses) into Playa del Carmen for about $3. They make change for you as well and are safe and very clean. Xpu-Ha will keep you walking, so be prepared to walk to get to the various attractions. If you are not up for walking, drivers are around and you can flag them down for a quick ride anywhere, or you can wait in designated areas for a lift, if necessary. Although the beach itself is rocky and not meant for swimming, here is a bus that every 20 minutes or so will bring you to a beautiful beach with lounge chairs, umbrellas and a great beach bar where they make fantastic drinks. The beach at the resort has beautiful Bali beds to relax on to watch the waves and the sunset. This was a really nice touch and is well lit and quite romantic. The pool area is large with a terrific snack bar, serving everything from cerviche to hamburgers. The bar by the pool is good too with fantastic, friendly service. In fact, the service across the resort was wonderful. This is a great resort for kids with lots of animals to keep them entertained. It's like vacationing on a waterfront zoo! As mentioned before, it's modest and not a luxury resort, but what they lack in 5 star amenities, they make up for in uniqueness.

Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta: Awesome resort, excellent time!

The Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta was amazing! The grounds were clean and easy to manoevre around. The smaller size of the resort was awesome. Food was great, service was outstanding.The rooms were clean and a great size. We will definitely be back!

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Wonderful from beginning to end

The word <> does not even begin to describe this hotel. From the animal interactions we got to experience every day, to the beautiful tree house style rooms, to the absolutely amazing customer service we received, I cannot say enough. Air Canada offered a romantic dinner which was initially scheduled to be by a cenote but was rained out onto our large front porch, it was nonetheless beautiful and perfect to the last detail. Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Very good resort

Villas and grounds lovely and clean.animals are really great and well .looked after. All personal very friendly and helpfull and will go out of there way to please you. Beach grill at pool was the best.

Moon Palace Cancun: Big, Clean, resort

Me and my husband loved Moon Palace.We stayed at Nizuc lobby, which we though was the best out of the three. It is medium sized, not too crowed, and can easily access the other two lobbies. Sunrise was good because it had more restaurants. What we didn't like *The only thing I didn't like was the murky ocean water, where I would have liked to swim in, but we were aware of this from the many reviews we read. *Romantic Dinner was mediocre *expansive. *The 90 min presentation. They were forceful a [... read more]nd rude. Restaurant recommendations - Brazilian Steakhouse - is so awesome. We went twice - The golf course Italian restaurant - was good, but the waiter was understaffed and service was not good. Had to wait a lot. You have to make reservation in advance - The steakhouse by Sunrise poolside at night was good. - The Mexican place at Nizuc for dinner. We enjoyed Mexican good - The taco bar at grande poolside is small, but there "octopus taco" is so amazing.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: My Trip review

The resort was very beautiful lust vegetation the rooms were very neat and spacious. But the food was a lot the same there wasn't any al cart meal like the other resort we visited last year and really no on resort bars to have a drink with people you were hanging out with. Things closed down fairly early and not really any entertainment or show in the evening to go and watch.

Isla Mujeres Palace: Rest & Relaxtion - Beautiful Resort

My husband I visited this resort from March 3-10. We had a wonderful time. Not one issue. Everyone was so nice and couldn't do enough for you. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday, this is the place for you! Beautiful beach front and spacious pool. Lots of lounge chairs. A great outdoor snack shack! Fantastic food on the buffet and off the menu. Quiet evenings with some entertainment. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking to unwind and just take it all in.
