Amazing Resort

This resort was simply amazing. It was clean, food was great and the employees were wonderful , very friendly. Our room was an upgrade from the Golf side to the beach side and it was a lovely room. The a'la carte restaurants were good, but a little hard to get into. Most of them only had late times available. I would go back to this resort in a heart beat. The pool was clean, and the beach was clean although there was a bit more seaweed then I would like , but at least you could still s [... read more]wim in the ocean.

Best resort experience -

We were 2 couples, and the hubby's had one thing on their mind..... GOLF! The boys golfed everyday while the ladies lounged on the fabulous beach or at the beautiful pools. Every room had a hot tub on the balcony and a beautiful view of the ocean. The food, premium liquor and happy attentive staff made this such a fun trip we are already planning to come back next year. Great resort

Big beautiful rooms , big balcony with tubs, great for all ages will take grand kids there good value long stretch of beach if you like walking close to other entertainment caterman, close to airport friendly staff good food so much variety,

Great resort!

The Barcelo Bavaro Palace was everything we were looking for. It was clean, the beach was long, the sun shone and people were friendly! The only down sides were the wind which was pretty much constant, and the food which was never really hot. We loved being able to walk for miles on the beach although being fair skinned and not so good about using sunscreen I really did wish for more shade or shaded areas. Fantastic Resort

The hotel is a five star resort,,, the grounds were beautiful, the beach beautiful and we'll maintained . Always enough chairs ,, with plenty to do ... The device was second to none . The buffet was fantastic with a large variety of food , Alacarts were also great .. Finally the service was second to none and always with a smile . I have been to this resort twice and will definitely go back again

Lots of things to do!!

This hotel was big but not too big. It has lots of things to keep the adults and kids entertained. Bowling, golf, mini golf, laser tag, escape room, casino etc. Lots of water sport activities. The food was good, and the beach is close to all the pools. The layout of the resort is very nice. I would recommend this hotel to all ages.

Amazing Resort:

I booked the Barceló Bavaro Palace on the Tripcentral.ca site. We were very pleased, and were very surprized at all the renovations. We had booked all inclusive. We had been there about 7 yrs. prior. The changes were very beautiful. The rooms were very nice. The junior suite was very comfortable. Had 2 queen beds and a sort of a day bed. Nice layout and great hot tub. The staff was very friendly and kind. Restaurants very good. They had 2 buffet places to eat . They had anything you could thin [... read more]k of. It was excellent. Had a great vacation. Also had a lot of activities. Also about 3 to 4 pools and whirpool. The Beach was so beautiful and the sand was white sand just like sugar. Will return for sure.

Awesome Resort!

The Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe is amazing! My adult children and I stayed in the junior suite oceanfront room..fabulous! I especially loved the outdoor jacuzzi with oceanfront view. The grounds we’re immaculate. A really nice touch is the relaxing music playing throughout the day from “rock shaped”speakers along the path. The beach was kept clean, chairs in good condition. Lots of great food, we especially loved the Japanese a la carte. Lots of shops from decent price to the more expensive. The bus pick ups for excursions were always on time and good fun. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the ocean. We enjoyed room service a couple of times. Our room was kept clean and the turn down service was a nice touch. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely choose premium level. We would absolutely come here again.

Not the best

This is definitely not the best resort I have been at. The food is not good. The service is just ok but not more. I would not recommend at all. It took us an hour and half to book the restaurants and the stag Do not speak English. I’d yiu don’t speak Spanish, good luck to find someone that would understand your request.

Fantastic vacation

Beautiful resort and wonderful people. The beach was breath taking and the food was excellent. Staff took care of all of our needs with a smile. Room we booked was low so requested a room higher up, without a problem we were given a beautiful roogm with a beach view the same day we arrived. We also met two wonderful people Yolanda and Henry, who gave us a seat at the French restaurant that you must pay for, for free, due to a power outage. Overall our stay was fantastic! Substandard Resort

Check in - Rooms were to be ready at 3pm and they were not. Resort - is massive with a ton of people Staff barely speak English Wait was very long for water, food at any restaurant Sante Fe Steakhouse was a horrible meal, quality of food was very poor Rest of the a la carte restaurants are good to better Drink selection is adequate not great. Although they say 3 rounds of golf are included; you still had to pay $75 US per person per golf round for the golf cart. Ants in room; after getti [... read more]ng them to spray still took a few days to go away You could only exchange beach towels from your room; you couldn't get any additional beach towels and the towel staff was very rude about it. Pool and beach were extremely overcrowded with no available loungers at anytime of day The golf course and the staff at the golf course were the only highlights of the trip. Although the landscape staff is constantly trying to sell you balls in secret from Hole #1.

The best of the best

From the second we entered the resort to the time we left this resort was amazing... The food, the rooms, the night life just everything was perfect!!! We will be back very soon... The weather was amazing

Beautiful but too big

The location was great-close to the airport. Beach was the best part. Just too big. too long of a walk just to get something to eat. Food was good. A la cartes were good-favourite was the steak house. Shopping too high end on property. Would prefer market style shopping. We had a better time in Cuba for half the price!

12th Time at this Resort!

This is truly an amazing resort to stay at in Punta Cana. It's a mega resort filled with many things to do for everyone. The place comes alive at night so you are never bored. The beach is beautiful and the water is calm making it great for swimming. My husband and I have been to other popular destinations but always come back to the Barcelo Bavaro for an amazing vacation! Barcelo Bavaro Palace - our favorite resort in Punta Cana - Nov. 3-17, 2017

My wife and I have been here close to 10 times since 1999. We get complimentary golf with Sunwing Tours but must pay a cart fee of $75 USD per person to play. Golf course is very good Pete Dye layout. Cart pricing is too costly in our minds. Restaurant selection is good and food is better than average among resorts we have tried. Had a lot of rain this trip but inconvenience was minor due to timing.

Best resort I have gone to

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. it has something for all ages. large variety of restaurants, bowling, pool tables, disco, night entertainment, plus the usual, beach, pool, bars, .... I could go on and on. There is so much to do at the resort we felt like we didn't need to go anywhere else. We had went as a family, with a young child (9) and a teen (13) and they had a blast, honestly they have something for all ages.

Overall the best hotel we stayed

Check in took 3 hours and we did arrive at noon so it wasn't a pleasant start but the rest was very good. We didn't have a chance to watch the shows at night as we have a little one but the amenities are excellent. The best restaurant was the steakhouse for sure but even the buffet was excellent food. Beach was very weedy in March not sure if it's a all year thing. Resort is ridiculously huge and lots for kids all ages to do. Wi fi free only in the casino was a surprise for us since it's a 5  [... read more]star hotel but not a big deal for us Bedroom and the entire resort was very clean! Impressive! Overall was a very good experience. Would come back for sure!

My Favorite Place to Be!!!

I have been to this resort now 3 times and I have no complaints. I don't think any other resort can top this one. The grounds are breathtaking and the food is exceptional. Many activities to do and the rooms are very modern and clean. My favorite a la carte is the Spanish and steakhouse. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants luxury and class on their vacation:)

Excellent Family Vacation

The resort was clean and well kept. The food was good, lots of variety at the buffet and the a la cartes were great. Never had difficulty finding loungers at the pool or beach. Drinks were plentiful and service was great. Would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel

beautiful resort people were very lovely rooms were really nice as well always clean would highly recommend this to young couples to families,extra activites werent the best but i would recommend the horse back riding
