Great resort

Amazing beach,very clean grounds.would need bathroom renoes better communication between staff and guests.staff at guess services great hats off to Julio and Jesus for your help.good safe place for women traveling alone.

Amazing resort

We would go back there in a heart beat!!. It has everything you could possibly want. Service, food accommodations everything was excellent!! Our rooms were very spacious, service by the pool area and in the lounge were great and even though we were at the Beach we had full access to the Palace which is nothing less than prestigious.

Fine hotel and beach

Very clean and orderly. Adults only environment so party hardy is not outrageous, but good clean fun. Food very good. Alcohol includes popular brands such as Johnny walker, etc. Staff very polite and helpful. Beach well kept, and no harassment by beach vendors.

Beautiful resort, but....

The first night we were locked out of our room because of "faulty card keys". At bedtime I was left standing in the hall for a good ten minutes while my son returned to the lobby yet again so we could gain access to our room. The next day we were locked out again in the morning and again in the afternoon. The mini fridge had only pop and beer no alcohol. The shower was horrendous, that huge shower head fell off every time we showered, hitting me and also my son on the top of the foot [... read more]. We decided to use one of the drawers and found two syringes inside!!!!! One day instead of being taken by the "train" directly to our room we were chauffeured around the grounds and I must say I was stunned. The grounds etc were absolutely beautiful. The kids area with the swimming pool and large water animals looked great. I was amazed at how large and gorgeous the property actually was. We were compensated with two half bottles of Barcelo Bavaro rum and a plate of chocolate which were very nice and totally not expected. So yes, I would recommend Barcelo on the given that all the above problems were resolved.

Excellent resort!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of a 1 week stay at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach resort. All we can say is 'wow!' What an amazing week it was.......the food, the rooms, the service, the entertainment......all the best we have seen and experienced. Thank you for a wonderful time, even through the tropical storm!

Amazing resort and staff

The Barcelo Barvaro Beach was everything that they advertised. The food was great - buffet's exceptional. Whoever is training their staff could give lessons to other resorts. Everyone there, was happy to help you, greeted you with a hello and smile. We enjoyed the "Adults Only" and it really was. We watched a staff explain to a family that they could not come in the area. There is a great little train that goes around the resort, which is huge, every 15 minutes or so. It was great being able [... read more] to use the other resorts in the chain. My husband golfed 4 days, you reserve your Tee times, then go down to the front desk, who phones the course and they send a cart over to pick you up. The waterpark is great! There were 6 of us that played a 18 hole mini golf (which was free). Another really great thing is that it is only about a 25 minute transfer from the airport, depending on traffic. I would go back anytime!

Good and Bad but mostly Good !!

-the ocean was terrible at this location full of sea grass and huge patches of seaweed...unlike any other resort I've stayed at in the DR and this was my 4th resort. Awesome Resort!

We had a fabulous holiday at Barcelo Bavaro beach! I would go back tomorrow. We both really enjoyed our time in paradise. The people were all very friendly and helpful with anything you needed. The restaurants both a LA carte or buffet were amazing!. The grounds were kept immaculate, everything was beautiful. Exceptional resort

Enjoyed a lovely week, inspite of some unseasonal rainy weather. The resort is large and spread out so you are never crowded or experience long lines. The food is delicious with so many choices it makes it hard to make a decision.. There are so many a la carte choices that it can keep you busy every evening. The hard working staff are very, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and efficient. I can't think of anything to complain about.

Great golf holiday!

Just returned from a week at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach. Golfed every morning and spent every afternoon at the beach. Loved everything about this resort and the Palace next door whose amenities we shared. Pretty much every activity or sport is available there. The golf course was fantastic, the beach beautiful. Super clean. Walk to the beach from any part of the hotel is never more than a minute or two. Only negative and not bad enough to stop me from going again, was the wine in the buff [... read more]et restaurants both at lunch and dinner was undrinkable. We drank beer after the first day. Coffee service at all meals was also very slow to non existent.

Awesome resort!!

Everything is this resort was very clean. The rooms were cleaned by the maids everyday. The workers at the reception understood english very well and I had no problems talking to them. Checkin and out were very quick. Everyone at this resort was very friendly. You could go off resprt and walk around and no really bothers you. The beach was awesome! Beautiful resort

The grounds were lovely. Everything is so clean. Food was great. Very pleasant employees. The best beach I have been on, soft sand, and clean sea water. There is nothing I would change. I have absolutely no complaints.

Beautiful Resort!

Everything was great about this resort! Friendly staff and great food! The pools were massive especially on the palace side. Beaches were beautiful and water was perfect. 40 degrees every day, couldnt have asked for better weather. Disco open every night as well as a casino next door which is 24hrs. Went in with $20 walked out with $200 and peaced out within 10 minutes. Im good. Definately go back again!

10th Time at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Resort!

Just returned last week...my wife and I have been going to this resort for the past 9 years, it has the best beach with calm clear shallow water. The resort is large new and very clean offering lots of restaurants, a casino, disco, great games area, shopping, waterpark for kids, large swimming pools and so much more. If you are looking for a relaxing and fun trip don't hesitate to book your vacation at this resort. It's great for singles, couples and families. Highly recommended!!!

Great Choice!

Very clean resort inside and out. Many restaurants to choose from and buffets were always good. Pool area was great and beach nice and clean. Felt very safe there and staff and entertainment was also great. Only one thing would make this resort a little better would be to offer free wifi in certain areas. However, nice taking a break from the phone, it is also nice to stay in touch with pictures as well.

Beautiful Vacation Spot!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, food in ala carte restaurants and buffet were very good. Huge selection of foods to please every palate, on buffet each meal one section for gluten free. Entertainment each night, although a couple of nights with a band for dancing would be great. We thoroughly enjoyed all the resort offered.

Excellent resort

This was our second trip to this resort, that in itself says a lot. Fantastic food and drink service. Grounds, rooms and building were spotless. No signs of mosquitos :) Probably due to how clean the place is kept. People extremely friendly and helpful. Management available and helpful. Pool large and clean, lots of chairs and areas where you could stay at the pool but out of the sun, if you wanted to. Other activities, pool, tennis, golf, ping pong all close by . Good value resort

My overall impression of this resort is it is relaxing and quiet. It is what I wanted in my holiday having had a very stressful year I was not into a night life or rowdy guests. The food was good and lots of variety since you could also go to other resorts for dinner. The accomodations were good, not great but comfortable beds, hot water and easy access to the resort.

Great Resort

Really nice resort.....food was very good at the restaurants located at the resort and at the a la carte restaurants at the adjoining resort (Palace Deluxe). Overall service was excellent. Beach is beautiful and no issue getting lounge chairs. Room was a little dated that that was more than offset by our spectacular ocean front view. Highly recommend to book Club Premium as the extra perks are worth it (no charge for room service and WiFi for example).

I have been to better

Although the resort was somewhat nice and you did have full access to the adjoining resorts, I found this resort very boring the entertainment was lacking, service was not up to par either. I have been to Punta Cana numerous times and this resort is the only one I would not return to. It did have some good qualities but the bad out weighed the good in my opinion. The beach was beautiful minus a lot of seaweed but I am going to chalk that up to the high winds during my visit. The rooms were sub p [... read more]ar as well as the food. Rooms were never clean upon us returning from a day at the beach around 5 pm. We had to ask for towels everyday as well. I will not be recommending this resort to anyone however I would HIGHLY recommend Trip Central as they were great throughout the whole booking process and answered all my questions even the stupid ones. 5 Stars for them.
