Good resort

Let me start off with everything good about this resort. - The grounds were kept immaculate. Staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining the resort. Not a plastic cup in site. Pool was clean. Staff worked tirelessly each morning to clean the seaweed off the beach. - The staff were some of the most friendly people I have ever encountered. Special shoutout to Jesus at the pool bar and our maid Doisie. I felt so welcomed by each and every one of them. - The disco was a blast. - There was  [... read more]never a dull moment. Lots of activities and games and every moment of the day! - You won’t go hungry. Always good available for any diet type (hamburgers, salads, fruit, fries... whatever... available 24/7!) - Good mix of ages. Would be good for any age group. Now for the negatives. - I am by no means a food guru... but the food was far from what I was hoping for. Pretty crappy if ya ask me. - The rooms were awful. We went with 3 other couples and each of us had to change rooms about 3 times due to broken doors, mould, damaged locks and overall disgusting rooms. - There weren’t many bars or places to drink... pool bar... beach bar... that’s about it.

Ok resort

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The grounds were nice. Food was good. The rooms are horrible if you don’t pay for a top of the line room. Beach was ok. It and miss with hot water. Shower leaks onto the floor.

Amazing Resort! Paradise!

The resort was wonderful. We stayed in the Adult Only section, and it was worth the upgrade. The staff are helpful and friendly, the room was clean and efficient. The pools were clean and plentiful. So many of them - and so many bars too. The food was really good and the buffets had a lot of selection. Some of the restaurants required some fees: had to pay for lobster and premium cut steaks for example. All restaurants required a reservation and you can only book one day in advance. The beac [... read more]h was ~okay. It had a lot of seaweed. There were workers working all day to remove it, but it wasn't a clean beach because of this. I didn't swim on the beach at all. And the vendors (the public guys trying to sell their wares and services) were all over the beach and really annoying. But the beach had a lot of beds and far enough removed from the vendors, if you got the chance to get a bed (that too was difficult), then the vendors weren't so bad.

Beautiful, clean and helpful

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, the grounds were spotless the beach was beautiful, the drinks were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were several options for restaurants to book reservations for but the buffet offered delicious fresh options at every meal, and the service was warm and friendly

Decent resort

When I arrived I immediately upgraded to the VIP Adults Only area which set me back 600 so in the future I should bundle with the Tripcentral or airline. Sadly didn’t get the 200 credit and the beach was awful sand was ok but water very murky so I mostly stayed in the adults pool as the other one wasn’t very clean

Think Twice

Different Levels... there are different coloured wristbands,noting different distinctions ..unless you pd VIP you hv to pay for drinks in the main lobby bar as you enter the hotel..Top shelf is extra even with VIP .The beach is sectioned off by a fence ....however both sides hv canopied beds & sm loungers.(. Regular, VIP, children’s section,VIP Adult section, Gold if you purchased a timeshare.etc) Timeshare reps wait for you outside the buffet & in the lobby all day..They have a big ofc ups [... read more]tairs..Staff was friendly but Definite language barriers, they were painting some rooms the smell was intense, the pool was unkept., hair, sand etc etc...Activity staff good,. All a la carte restaurants have designated dishes you can order ,and several on the same menu that.you hv to pay for at $20USD plus...the filet mignon was tough, Lobster extremely small, Asian good.

Dont Go There

This hotel is devided into 3 different classes. VIP ,ADULTS ONLY and THE REST. The resturants are half all inclusive the rest of the menu you have to pay . A lot of the bars are pay only if you are the Rest This hotel is only ALL INCLUSIVE if you are a VIP OR ADULTS otherwise you pay. Pool is filthy beach is full of seaweed. Only seats at 6am I could go on

Party resort

Good for younger crowed. Rooms were great in the 17 block. Food wasn’t the best. A lot of people trying to sell you stuff. Main pool needs redone hurts your feet and isn’t to clean. Wouldn’t recommend it to people that are looking for good food and beach

Not the vacation I imagined :(

After 9 hours of travelling, almost another 2 hours was spent checking in. Un-Professional staff did not provide the correct VIP bracelet or instructions to the VIP check in (which we paid for). Was scammed into paying $400 USD for a spa they advised was part of our room(s) package (checked and confirmed three times before we attended on three different days and occasions), only to find out that it was not true and that we had to pay for (Thanks Jose for not even listening) Room Keys were consta [... read more]ntly being deactivated resulting in us walking from one end of the resort to the other end. Other than then that, our Air Canada reps where able to listen to our complaints but nothing was ever done, Thank you Eliso and William at least for trying. Overall setup of the room was nice and our cleaning lady made sure it was cleaned daily (Thank you), however from when we arrived on Wednesday and informed front desk that our telephone (inside the room) was not working (for emergency reasons, still not working after we left as no one fixed/replaced the phone) and the room was infested with mosquitoes (I had to buy product to spray the room after no one came after the third day). Also we paid for the deluxe swim up (adults only) room, however due to "changes" (that we were not notified about) on the hotel grounds - the adult only section was moved and completed on the other side of the resort, but we were stuck with the old deluxe swim up that included partying until 5:00 in the morning, followed by your choice of: intoxicated guest yelling and slamming of doors or truck horns at 6:00 - 6:30 am. Goodbye rest and relaxation! Food and Beverage selection was fair, the Mexican restaurant was our family favorite! Also enjoyed the VIP bar (the one we paid for) after we "found it" on the third day into our vacation, by ourselves I felt that this "vacation" was a big money grab and a scam. I understand that some of the services provided are a means of income for some individuals, but my family and I would have been more receptive if the truth was provided to us instead of a means to just take our money. (we spent over $500 USD in tips and gifts) and would have happily spent more if there was no hiding agenda to get money from us by any means possible! Also the timeshare reps, 1 or 2 days of asking is appropriate. After the 5th day, just let me enjoy my vacation please, I already said no the first 4 days, day 5-7 will also be a no! Please notify your customers of any changes to the hotel that may have happened prior to purchasing their vacation. Also please train your front desk/ reception etiquette's in customer service please? Finally, please do not scam your guest into services that they are unaware of, it leaves a bad impression and image for your company.

Excellent

I have no complaints about this resort ( Be Live ) . It was the best service we have had in all our travels. We stayed in the V.I.,P. section. The staff was excellent and friendly and made the tourist interact with each other. My husband's only complaint was there not enough mashed potatoes and not enough shade coverage, otherwise amazing.

Had a great time

Had an amazing time, the weather was perfect, food very tasty, although getting reservations was a bit of a problem for the a la carte. Nice room maid service was good, very clean resort. Didn't see much of the beach as it was to hot, and not much shade, it was hard to get a lounger at beach. The front desk were awesome they were very helpful and pleasant. especially Willmer and his crew, they enjoyed the chocolates we gave them. Great resort

Really happy with this resort as a whole. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the two issues I had (2 beds for just me instead of 1 bed and a sink drain problem) were addressed right away. The pools and beach were great, and there were different entertaining events every day in the afternoon and evening. I would absolutely go back and I'm recommending this resort to my friends looking for a vacation abroad.

Be Live Punta Cana 2019

Great atmosphere and staff are dedicated to all Guess. Highly recommend the adult VIP upgrade. Added value in privilege will speak for itself. Only deception was booking an excursion with locals and would reccomend for others to be cautious in doing so. Regret not sticking to the Air Canada advice. Overall , great experience and definetly would consider returning to this site.

Dated resort on regular side

Family vacation with 2 young children. Rooms- told was upgraded from a standard rm to a VIP rm ay check in. Thought great amazing....arrive and it's very dated, dirty, air conditioning barely works(called to have it fixed 3 times, each time said would send someone and never did). Bathroom- flooded whole floor EVERY shower. Bath towels are gold and very hard to obtain daily and 4 is asking too much apparently. Food- just fine, had buffet most nights. Was very sick that night- assuming something listed gf was not or was contaminated... Pools- decent, beach towels are an issue to get often. Seems like they need more on site to keep up with demand. Beach- just okay, very cloudy and A seaweed issue. They did their best though to keep it as nice as possible. The constant sellers on the beach are very annoying and some are VERY persistent. Overall I would not go back due to the many issues listed and would not recommended either. The new adult side looked amazing, but if looking for a family resort like us this is not the place to go in my opinion.

Exactly what we were looking for

This was our first trip to to the Dominican Republic and we had a really good time. The hotel was great. The grounds were very clean and staff were curtious. The beach was wonderful, not over crowded and the food was excellent too. This resort really wants its guests to enjoy their stay. I would definitely return.

Great resort to visit

Just came from this resort January 10-17/2019 had a great vacation the shows were amazing,the entertainers were very friendly and the stuff as well I recommend this hotel very clean ,food was great, service was great overall I had a amazing vacation.

So much potential

This resort has so much potential that it, unfortunately, did not live up to. Room: We stayed in building 9. The room was okay, definitely needs touchups - there was small cracks in the drywall/ceiling, the grout needs cleaned, the bathtub jets do not work, the drapes snag on the tracks and part was falling off. We seemed to have it good compared to some in the adults only where they showed pictures of drywall dust in their room, no drapes, and construction next door. However, the room was v [... read more]ery clean and the cleaning ladies do a great job at making sure you have what you need. You do have to pay for a safe in the room. We did hear they were completing the adults only and renovating some other rooms so maybe ours was on the list to be redone. Beach - the water was rough and lots of seaweed. I'm not sure if it's this time of year but the staff did say they had quite a few rough storms come through. There's lots of shades and activites happening at the beach. Pool - the resort has a lot of pools (some Adults Only) but we only went to the main pool. The pool is a good sized but definitely needs renovation. There are lots of rocks and sand in the pool. Some of the concrete is falling apart (there are even pot holes in the bottom). The pool bar is great though - it gets lots of shade and the bartenders there are friendly with great service. Entertainment/activities - probably the best part of our trip! The resort has lots of activities at the pool, beach, and in the evening. The entertainment staff is friendly, approachable, and tries to get everyone involved. There are lots of activities for people of all interests/age ranges (e.g. foam party, daily spanish lessons, zumba). Food - Definitely not a fan of the food. We did two a la cartes (Mexican and Steak) - both left my stomach feeling off and unwell. The buffett was okay, a lot of selection - most of the food was doused in cream or butter (especially the veggies). There is a kids section that will cater to picky eaters or kids and they always have the basics. Service - this was probably the most frustrating part of our experience. The service was AWFUL. From waiting for drinks at the buffet (we would be almost done eating before we would get them) to the inconsistency in what staff says. The service was definitely lacklustre and could do with a huge improvement. Overall, the staff seemed hardworking and friendly but did not go above and beyond to keep guests happy. Overall the resort was okay but I would not return. The grounds are beautiful and the resort has so much potential. With proper staff traaining, some renovations, and focus on customer service, it has the ability to live up to its 4 star rating.

Resort from HELL

Resort was overbooked, renovations were being done. No safety locks on doors, safe didn't work, other guest were complaining of back up toilets causing floods in room. The roons were filthy, beach towels were dirty, pool was dirty, food was gross, staff was unfriendly. The resort had a tiny lobby with no lounging, one bartender at each bar. Nice resort but need improvement

Food was not that great we were 8 and 4 out of the 8 was sick. Entertaiment was not that great, had problem with or room door did not lock took them awile to come and fix it. Pool was nice, service at the buffet was not good at all inside except for outside was a bit better(first time at a resort that service is not good) food was always cold.
