Me and my family had a great time and enjoyed the experience. Pools are well kept and are a good size. Beach front is raked and also well kept. Hotel rooms are spacious and well kept. The grounds are maintained constantly and look lovely. The main lobby is huge and has lounge areas throughout. Food is okay and they have a variety of a la carts to choose from. Staff are awesome, welcoming and friendly.

A little disappointed
This was our second time at this resort, but was a bit disappointed. First, my cousin and I both got bacteria from the food we ate, I think it was at the private island, from the chicken. Second, didn't like to see the birds flying in the dining area while we were eating and the cat walking along the edge of the dining area. After discovering that we had bacteria from the food we were more cautious to see things like this. Also, it could of been from the bottled water. Third, the second time we [... read more]stayed at this resort, we didn't get our bottle of liquor and fresh fruit when we arrived at our room like the first time, we have to ask for it. Also, the Italian restaurant was a disaster. Long wait time, food was not Italian and poor selection.

Very large
The resort was very big and spread out. We were fortunate to get a room close to the dinning area and where the night activities were. The food was good. What I didn't like was the beach was rather a long way from where our room was. You had to take the trolley if you wanted to get to the beach, as I found the walk too far. So we stayed near the closest pool most days.
I got very sick on the third day and had to see the doctor. The only problem was we were told to make a collect call to Canada t[... read more]o the health insurance company was a flat fee of $2.00, well not so. We were presented with a bill of $75.00 payable upon leaving the resort. We were really upset. We had been given the wrong information. There is no set fee, you must pay according to the length of your call. That was most upsetting. The wi-fi worked when it felt like it.

Love this resort!
Hotel is great, rooms nicely renovated, beautiful grounds, love the 'bungalows' service is great , food real good and the beach awesome (wide, lots of room & clean). Only hic, got our stuff taken from our chairs early morning before returning from breakfast...has nothing to do with the resort, just ignorant, indecent people... Third time here and will return!

Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort & Spa
EHi Kate
N. L
My wife Donna and I most recently stayed at this resort from April 13th to April 20th of this year.
Since we preferr the smaller more quaint resorts in Mexico we were sceptical about going to Dominican.
Our nephew was getting married which prompted us and 40 guests to travel to Punta Cana .
Comments:
The resort is huge and is spread out over a large area but nicely laid out.(beautiful grounds!)
The main hotel which is older and furthest from the beach.(Not recommended)
The majo[... read more]rity of accomodations are 2 storey bungalos (4 units per building)
Bungalos are well furnished and comfortable with good beds as well as roomy balconies or patio areas.
The grounds are meticulously cared for and manicured with lucious tropical plantings.
The staff is amazing (very happy joyous people not looking for tips for service) actually more friendlier than in Mexico!
The public washrooms are constantly being cleaned.
The beach is exceptional with wide long stretches ...great for long walks
Downside,....there is no snorkeling from the beach (boat excursions only but very poor compared to reefs in Mexico)
Water is a bit rough with good size waves for body-surfing
Food was average as well as drinks.(they tend to overcook the meat...chicken not so bad)
Best specialty restaurant was the Tappenyaki (fun nite and excellent stir fry)
There are 2 pools....best pool to hang out is the one closest to the beach (never over- crowded and close to lunch time buffet and bars)
Transportation around the resort provided by small trams which ran every 15 minutes or so
NOTE: Surprisingly the trams were very enjoyable as we drove thru beautiful tropical landscapes enroute to the main lobby or restaurants.
Some of the trams would play fun music as you wind thru the beautiful pathways.(kids loved riding the trams!)
This resort is very kid friendly (our grand kids were with us) staff would always take time to acknowledge them.
NOTE: The only shade on the beach is under a palapa since the palms are very tall with little follage and do not throw much shade.
Plenty of beach chairs available but only in sunny areas.
Summary:
No-one in our party of 40 got sick!(some maybe had a bit too much tequila!)
We loved the resort /atmosphere and the staff .
Our request to be close to the beach 2nd floor bungalo was honoured. My wife and I believe this was the big factor as we ususlly stay in smaller resorts often seconds away from the beach. My daughter occasionally put her little guy down in our room for afternoon naps instead of riding the tram to her room.
We loved our room and its location.
The resort was clean and safe.
Surprisingly ......we would consider returning to this resort !

Faded Princess
Wonderful staff, great beach, well maintained grounds and common areas but guest rooms need TLC. They're very clean but extremely musty smelling, the plumbing needs work and locks are shaky. Would rate it a 4 or 5 if not for the rooms.
