Good resort

Overall the resort was nice. I went with a group of 17 so this resort was a little more ecinomical so eveyone could afford it. Very nice beach and pool. The food was ok. I tried to stick to the stations that cook the food fresh infront of you. Some issues with bugs but you'll get that anywhere. Rooms are a good size.

Nice Resort

Rooms were large and well maintained with good daily maid service. Dining room had decent food (better than most Cuban resorts we have been to) but fish didn't taste fresh - maybe the season. Breakfast was the best. We were pleased that the super large pool always had empty chairs available and beach loungers were monitored by hotel staff. The resort is big and spread out. Good Value Resort

The resort has good rooms because they are fairly large and they are two story sections.Grounds are well maintained and have lots of flowers. It's a bit of a walk to the beach but it gives you a chance to check out the different types of cranes. Beach is beautiful to walk but water shoes are needed to swim. Snorkeling is not bad too.Bring mosquito repellent for the flies. Good selection of all types of drinks. Food is typical Cuban, but you can always find something to eat. Good resort

It was a good resort,, but would like to try a different resort. The food was ok not the best, you will always find something you like.. Staff were very nice the bartenders were amazing... I would not stay here again maybe somewhere else around cuba maybe the new resort that just opened Nov 15th...

GOOD RESORT,GREAT VALUE

The resort was good. Great value for your money. Dont expect to get everyhing due to the embargo but what they have is great and the hospitality makes up for it.Ask for Leo at the Japanese restaurant. He is amazing. Speaks at least 6 languages. Rooms were clean resort overall goid. Pool needs some cleaning attention The Beach is nice white sand.

Great vacation

This was our third trip to this resort. We really like this area because it is a bit further south and a bit warmer. The beach sits in a cove and thus the water is usually quite calm. The water in front of the hotel has some flat rocks which are easy to clear especially if you wear beach shoes, but also provide good snorkelling. T [... read more]he water was very warm as was the water in the pool. They seemed to be having a problem with supply of some vegetables, but, the neighbouring resort had the same problem. There is plenty of delicious food, so don't worry. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Probably the only criticism I might have is that some of the lights along the walkways don't work causing it to be a bit dark at night; bring a flashlight. We love this resort and will return next year. TIP - bring flashlight, beach shoes, bug spray and snorkelling gear (we bought the one piece snorkel mask and loved it)

Little Heaven

This resort is a true place for fun and relaxation, it offers everything that will make you happy. Rooms are spacious, very clean with air conditioner and huge widows and patios. The restaurants serves a variety of dishes, there are also plentiful delicious fruits. There are numbers of heated pools. The courtyards are manicured and adorned with lots of beautiful flowers and small trees. The beach is just minutes walking from your suite.

A Little Heaven On Earth

Everyone should make and effort to visit this "little heaven". There is bountiful activities, one can participate in, eg, going for a walk on the beach or swim in the ocean or laze around in the resort heated pools (more than one). There is an aboundance of food from the different restaurants, the poolside restaurant and pub operates 24/7, at the hotel lobby bar you can sit and have a few cocktails, there is entertainment shows nearby. You can go for a carriage ride (horse drawn cart) around the area and make friends with the locals who will offer a piece of Cuba----(very friendly people the Cubans are). I will recommend this resort to everyone, (a place where you can relax, have fun, eat the best of foods, drink the best cocktails (mohitos, daiquiri etc.) The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, one cannot ask for better friendlier service. BOOK YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY WITHOUT HESITATION.

Great Resort

This is my second time at PCV and it didn’t disappoint me. I normally wouldn’t go to the same hotel but am very comfortable with the staff. They are pleasant and always willing to go beyond. The beach is beautiful, rooms are good size and clean, the food is hit and miss as is known for Cuba. The alacart restaurants are very nice but the are booked quickly. I would recommend PCV.

Amazing

The resort was great, staff, food and rooms were great as well.I will tell all my friends about this place. The bugs were bad and the airline did lose my luggage on the way home. The restaurants were great as well

Grounds were very clean.the staff were very nice.food was good.loved all the shell fish.rooms were clean.the only thing was all the children sitting at the swimup bar. It was loud and annoying. Other than that I love this place.

Fun resort

I have stayed at the playa costa verde 3 times now. I keep going back because i absolutely love this resort. I have made many friends of the staff..the grounds are gorgeous, the food is amazing . the enertainment is second to none. I will go back every year.

Above Expectations

Did lots of research & have been to many parts of Cuba. We booked at an excellent price & fully expected a good vacation. It did surprise us a bit by not only meeting those expectations, but surpassing them. This place has a huge repeat clientele, & they return for a reason. If you've traveled in Cuba before, & don't expect a 4-5 star for a 3 star price, I say do your research & then decide for yourself. Nice Resort

Although the resort is older the rooms are nice and the people are great, The food was good and lots of hot water. The beach was nice, the snorkling was a bit cloudy the first few days. The rooms were very clean.

Great Staff

We have been to Costa Verde more than a dozen times. In the past we have loved it there. This time we noticed things were not the best. That room they gave us was sadly lacking. Toilet didn’t flush, room was musty, it was badly dated. We asked for and got a room change and the second room was great like we would normally expect. The food in the buffet was poor this time. We rea [... read more]lize some foods unavailable but very poorly presented this time. Spaghetti sitting in a pan in a watery milky sauce. Cheeses not always plentiful. Panini oven, great addition. Service was pretty good but too many trainees. Feel sorry for the wonderful permanent staff having to serve and train. They upgraded the main lobby and lobby bar and many of the chairs in buffet recovered. It has a nice appearance and more seating in the lobby. They replaced the cobblestone around the pool area which is so much safer and more attractive. Beach and pool area were good. The regular staff are just awesome. Our only complaint other than that main floor room we were initially given after we sent an email requesting second floor was the quality of food. The special dinner for repeat guests was the best meal we had all week. Beef tenderloin with shrimp, delicious. Lunch was missing many things that are usually there eg french fries but there was always pizza they were excellent. Supper was also disappointing with many of the usual things missing. One day there were literally chicken bones in the buffet serving cart with no meat on them. The a la carte restaurants were excellent in particular the Japanese. I would be remiss if I didn’t say how excellent all the staff is, they are one of the reasons we continue to go here.

Crab Week!

I’ve been to Cuba more than 10 times, this resort once prior, and all south about 14 times and somehow I had never heard of the annual migration of the land crabs! The week we were on the resort, it was the babies (and parents?) returning to the forest following the time of migration of the crabs from the forest to give birth in the ocean. There were thousands on the move away from the ocean. It didn’t really bother us vacationers, you just had to watch where you walked. Two of the fours ro [... read more]oms we occupied on the main floors filled with crabs due to the gap in the room doors, about 30 in total, no exaggeration, they counted each time they entered their rooms. The staffs reaction was to laugh and say that we were in their (the crabs) land. I’m sorry but no one wants to have an investation in their rooms. My family were literally were shaking them out of their curtains, sweeping them from washrooms and under beds. The affected people requested to move rooms and were told no availability. For days my family resorted to stuffing towels under their doors and coming and going through their patio doors. After about three days, the crabs were down to a trickle. The other two rooms only had a few but the entry ways were a gauntlet to be ran when you went back to your room. I do fault the hotel for their complete lack of empathy re my family’s and other guests situation. We did still enjoy most of our vacation, the food, beach, pool were good.

I keep coming back here !

Still the best resort I’ve been to as I have tried many and no place has the convenience of restaurants and facilities like Costa Verde ! Amenities are all a short walk , grounds are beautiful and the staff are just wonderful

Superb!

This resort is my new favourite! The room, food, staff, service, beach, pool, bartenders, cleanliness and grounds were all amazing! I have been to Cuba a dozen times, Dominican and Jamaica. Playa Costa verde will be My return spot for my future travel. Already planning a group trip for October. Thank you Playa Costa Verde for making it the perfect vacation destination.
