Great location, great staff

Location, location, location! This resort sits on a hill with access to three great beaches. Lots to do, watersports are very fun, lots of shade (because it is hot), food is decent, and the staff are really great.

Decent Resort

Although the resort is older we found the grounds, main gathering areas and rooms very clean and adequate. All the staff is friendly and try their best to accommodate your needs. The only drawback to this resort is the selection of food in the buffet especially at dinner time. Please don't get me wrong; you can always find something to eat but if this is a 4 star then the food selections should be much better. We didn't do the A la cartes but asked and we were told ok but not spectacular. Lots o [... read more]f stairs however the shuttle service is excellent and punctual. We enjoyed this part of Mexico very much for the weather, the people in surrounding towns and the fact the taxi's are inexpensive therefore allowing you to explore. I would recommend this place but I can't see this as a 4 star maybe 3-1/2.

Fantastic resort!!!

The grounds were beautiful full of greenery and birds. Staff was very friendly, there's 4 beeches so always easy to find somewhere to sit. The carts to drive you around are always readily available!!!

Family trip

It was really nice place to stay for the whole family. Nice place, nice resort nice, and everything was okay for the money that we spent the only little problem is that they speak only little of English.

Best snorkelling

I was very happy that we chose this resort over others in the area as the beach area was sheltered from the waves, lots of palapas and shade, better snorkelling right there than on snorkelling tour. Service was great, very quick and everywhere. Grounds were very hilly, might be challenging for people with mobility issues, but the little shuttles to take you to your room were plentiful. 5 a la carte restaurants to choose from. lots of activities scheduled.

Beautiful location!

Loved that this was a spread out resort that meant you could do a lot of walking. Between all the food and drink it was nice to be able to walk to buffets and beaches and rooms. (There are cart shuttles for those not interested in walking.). Resort is in enclosed bay so safe for swimming and snorkelling and no people anywhere who aren't staying at the resort. Definitely noticed a majority of folks were 60 plus and only a few younger or with families - just something to note if you're looking for [... read more] more of a party vibe and/or lots of kid activities. Staff were exceptional, if not very fluent in English. would definitely go again.

Great Resort

We were at this resort Jan 29 to Feb 6 2016 Very good food. Excellent staff service - very friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms and nice bathroom. Although all the resort rooms are on a hill with many steps and walk-ways, they run "golf carts" that can take you anywhere on the resort and they come within minutes when called. If you have trouble walking, this may not be a suitable resort . Great snorkelling off the beach with-in the safe swimming area.

Very nice resort!

This was a very nice resort. However there were steps everywhere as it is built on a hillside. You could call a cart to take you from place to place. But you still had to do some steps. From our room it was about 30 steps up to get to the roadway. Overall a very nice place.

Las Brisas Hotel, Hualtuco Mexico

This hotel is lovely in a simple way. I suggest making good use of the cart service which will take you to your room or lobby. Walking to the beach or restaurant is walking downhill which is easy but walking up to your room is a real work out. The beach is awesome and if you are early to clam your spot you can be sure to have a great spot. The water was warm and you can snorkel right off the beach. The day trips we took were to a Coffee Plantation, Copilita, the City Tour. I recommend the Coffee Tour on a Monday as you also stop in a city and go through the most amazing market but do pack Gravol as the road is very windy and wear go walking shoes. If you do Copilita I hope your get PEPE as your tour guide he is awesome. The city tour is not worth your money. Make sure you go to Crucsita and Santa Cruz it is a short 40 Peso trip and there are to weaving shops that are a great find to bring gifts home for your self or others.

Good resort

Beaches were very good. Buffet and food at the ala carts just average. Air conditioning in the room not up to par. Power in the room we kept going out. Maintenance could not fix either the air conditioning nor the power problem.

Very Large Resort On A Hill.

Las Brisas Huatulco is a large vibrant resort. The grounds are just beautiful with Mexican cactus of all different kinds. This resort is so large and steep that you must take a trolley car to your room or anywhere. You phone for a trolley to pick you up for anywhere you want to go. Trolleys are very plentiful. You must make sure you have a beach bag to put everything in that you will need for the day. The trolley drivers where amazing as they maneuvered all around the little roads throughout the resort. All the restaurants are very clean and well organized. Every staff we had contact with were very friendly and accommodating. We ate at 4 of the 5 specialty dinner restaurants. They were good but could use a little spices and be more generous with the wine. My favorite meals were breakfast at the Mexican Restaurant. This restaurant is right by the beach and the food was great. All the beaches are really awesome. The water is warm and the waves were fun. We had beach bartenders that kept us happy all day. Shout out to Martin our favorite beach bartender. He worked so hard and fast for everyone-really nice guy. All the bartenders were great. We snorkelled and swam everyday. Our room was really nice and comfortable. We had a little porch to sit on sometimes but did not spend a lot of time in our room. We went into the town that is about a 10 minute drive away. Very nice if you want to buy souvenirs The entertainment was Mexican music with a few singers. People had a lot of fun dancing in the open square next to the large bar and pools The weather was beautiful everyday. We were told it rains only 5 times per year. It rained just a little bit on our last night. I couldn't believe it. It did not stop any of the evening fun. We had a nice time on this vacation and would recommend it to anyone who does not have any mobility problems. There are a lot of stairs everywhere.

Above expectation

I wish I could get 10 night stay instead of 7. Almost a whole day flight to and back to Edmonton took away 26 hours Beach, food, service were amassing. The room was very spacious and clean. Most rooms do not have balcony. It is bearable. There are much pleasant things to do outside of the room. Lots of hills and stairs, which is a natural way to exercise a bit after eating. Of course having friends with me made this trip perfect. Unfortunately my room on the very bottom floor for few days during [... read more] couple hours smelled when I guess they cleaned sewage piping at night. I had to open windows and as I was alone in the room and at night and on the first floor I was uncomfortable, I could change to another room easily, I just did not want to waste time on moving. Yes, I wish to come back and I will try to get 10 nights.

Great week in the sun

We spent the first week of Jan 2016 at Las Brisas in Huatulco. Everything was great. The hotel is not brand new but is very well maintained. The resort offered a good variety of food. The quality was really good and we found that the buffet was always a good choice with enough variety to make it interesting and convenient. Not all the a la carte restaurants were as good but the Mediterranean and the Mexican are excellent choices. The only draw back is that the resort is built on many levels and requires lots of walking of stairs. It was an excellent vacation and we will be back.

Beautiful and Quiet

From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we had a fabulous holiday! The room was large, two queen beds with a desk and chair and a table with 2 chairs. The bathroom was recently renovated with a glass and marble walk-in shower. We were to get a room with a king size bed but none were available. They offered to move us once one came available, but when we saw the beautiful view from our room we decided not to move. The a la cartes were also delicious, our favourites were the Mexicano and the Mediterranean. Three large beaches with lots of chairs and palapos available, along with three pools, provided on-demand seating. This huge resort provided lots of space for guests ~ you never had to fight for a spot or seat at anything. You can go down to the beach at any time of the day and get a chair. The weather is amazing ~ we went January 8-15 and it was hot, hot, hot everyday! The Transat team, the Excursion staff, the resort service and the staff attended to every detail and request we had. Honestly, the only thing that wasn't fantastic was the wifi lol...

Friendly service

I loved the fact that there were no vendors on the beaches! Fantastic snorkeling just off the beach. Staff were cheerful, helpful and attentive and made every effort to communicate despite our limited Spanish. Food in buffet was varied, fresh, simple and tasty. The ala carte restaurants varied in the service and quality of the menu. Rooms were large and clean with comfortable beds and nice linens; however lack of an outdoor sitting space was a drawback. Older, "tired", resort.

Resort older but well kept. Food excellent in the buffets. It has excellent beach for snorkelling. Staff is friendly. We found our rooms clean & quiet but it needed some renovating. Be prepared to do lots of walking & climbing stairs as the resort is spread out - good exercise to burn off those yummy calories collected! Downsides - no internet in rooms, most do not have a patio (that is an upgrade), only one snack bar located on the property.

Amazing Resort

This resort was terrific; the grounds were immaculate, food was good, service was great, our room was well appointed and we looked over the Pacific Ocean - the 3 beaches were wonderful. We swam more in the ocean here, rather than the pools, than we have done at any other Mexican vacation we have had in the last five years (on the Mayan Riviera). Lots of walking, but we needed and expected it. The staff were always helpful and attentive to our every need. The Mexican food we enjoyed was more authentic than what we experienced at other resorts. The a la carte restaurants were all good and we never had any difficulties with reservations. Lush grounds

The grounds are beautiful and manicured. The lobby is far away from the 4 buildings that house guests but there are golf carts that run 24/7 to bring guests to different parts of the resort. The food is repetitive and a bit bland. There is no entertainment at night during the low season and the only WiFi connection is at the lobby. We did have a scorpion in our bathroom. Awesome Week!

My husband and I travelled to Las Brisas in Huatulco for the first time in March. We thought the resort was outstanding. Loved the grounds and the beaches. Lots to do if you like to be busy. Offered many activites daily. The food was great and all the staff were very friendly. We hope to get back to Las Brisas next year.

Great resort

A wonderful resort. The staff was excellent, the food very good and the rooms were great. I would defiantly recommend this hotel. The beaches can accommodate every member of the family. This was a great hotel for every age group.
