THE RESORT WAS VERY GOOD AS WAS THE BEACH AND POOL

WE FOUND THAT IT WAS THE SIZE WE WERE LOOKING FOR AS WE ARE BOTH IN OUR SEVENTIES WE WERE IN THE BE LIVE ADULT BUILDING AND PAID FOR THE UPGRADE SERVICES THE HALLWAYS ARE LARGE AS WAS THE ROOM 2 DOUBLE BEDS ALL SPARKLING CLEAN AND THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND VERY HELP FULL THE POOL IS DESIGNED FOR EASY ACCESS AT BOTH ENDS FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS SAME GOES FOR US OLDER GUYS THE BUFFET MEALS ARE THE USUAL FARE WITH A DIFFERENT THEME DAILY WHILE TRYING TO CATER TO ALL NATIONALITIES THE ONE TH [... read more]ING WE MISSED WAS THEIR LOBSTER NIGHT ON THE MONDAY AS WE ARRIVED LATE AND AND RETURNED EARLIER ON MONDAY ALL IN ALL IT WAS A REALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE 7 DAYS NO RAIN AND 30 DEGREES

Fabulous Resort!

Just returned from the Be Live Marian in Puerto Plata. I have to say I was very impressed with it. The resort is on the smaller side which is great,everything was within walking distance. The staff was amazing from the front lobby, to the bartender’s, to the restaurant servers, to the cleaning staff. Nothing was a problem for any of them! They were great. We went and upgraded to the VIP ADULT Section, which was closer to the beach,it was well worth the extra. They give you your beach towels, housecoats, slippers, filled up your fridge everyday with 4 bottles of pop, 2 Pepsi, 2 7Up, 4 small cans of Coors Light, and 2 bottles of Water. Also when in the VIP Section they leave you a bottle of Champagne and 2 champagne glasses.They also leave coffee everyday. They change your towels every evening,and turn down your bed! We will definitely go back to this resort. The Buffet Restaurant was good, you also have a VIP Section in the Buffett. We have no complaints on the food, the only Al-Carte Restaurant that we went to was Mylos, it was Mediterranean. It was my husband’s birthday that evening and the staff at Mylos brought out a small dessert with candles and sang Happy Birthday! That was nice of them. Again the staff there were fantastic! Also just wanted to say that the Sunwing Rep Heriberto who was in the front lobby all week was just amazing, and Caroline from Guest Services. As I said they helped with any questions you had. So ThankYou to them all for making our vacation so special.

Great Vacation

Great hotel, pool and beach! Nice size resort - great for families! Animation group were amazing - mosquito and chuwawa are the best! The Mexican and Brazilian al a cart restaurants were amazing too!! Bars only had one bartender at times which cause long line ups but the staff were all great! Will definitely go back again!!

Be Live Marien

Other than our room being very noisy ,the couple next door had TV going full blast and one couple argue most of night in hall .Also had young people blasting a radio and dancing, laughing in hall. This was third trip to this resort ,staff are wonderful but these distractions changed things for us.

Great Resort

Great resort, lots of fun activities, huge swimming pool and very nice staff. Variety of Food through buffet and other restaurants. Beach is sandy and clean, however expect weeds on the shore though they try to clean up as much as they can.

Nice 4* Resort

The grounds and beach were well kept. Rooms were clean and staff were very accommodating. Room service was fast and the food was certainly decent. I am a breakfast guy and there was always plenty of bacon and with one grill area for omelettes and one grill for eggs and pancakes, service was quite fast. We did not stay around the pool at all, so I cannot comment on it, except to say that it looked clean with plenty of lounge chairs. Overall, I thought our vacation at this resort was quite good and I would definitely recommend it as a good 4* resort.

Great place to relax

this hotel is a great place to spend time, it is nice and cozy, the staff was really good. it is only a few minutes walk to everything, the beach, the bars the pool, the buffet. This is the best resort I have stayed at. Ok the room show some wear and tear but everything worked, well some things didn't but a call to the front desk and Joe fix all was there to take care of the patio door pronto. I think that the only hiccup was that our room was supposed to be ready for 3PM latest but it was [... read more] close to 4PM when we finally got our room....we did complain to the management person and they gave all 4 of us 15 hours of free Wi-Fi. that is a $60 each package if my memory serves me right. Had to pay $ 3.50 every day for the use of the safe!!!! talking about safe, this place felt totally safe everywhere you go, there is a guard on the beach there are people that walk around all day long for security. The food was excellent also, all restaurants, buffet, beach buffet. The beach buffet served pastas, hamburgers, hot dogs, deserts, between 5 and 6 they served pizzas. Great resort

Our family has been several times to this resort. The grounds are very well maintained. The nightly entertainment most will find as a delight. The food was tasty 3/5 rating (I can be a picky eater at times to be fair). The rooms are well kept and housekeeping is always available for what you may need. The food at the a la cart restaurant is great. Fantastic service. The buffet had an small issue with keeping up with service sometimes, but they were friendly. Amazing vacation

The hotel was nice kept clean housekeeping staff friendly, the grounds of the resort were kept in good shape, pool was cleaned every morning. Bathrooms were clean but had some problems flushing the toilets. In the main buffet food was amazing lots to choose from, clean and great service. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice resort.

Resort was clean, staff friendly, good value for dollars paid. Adult beach area small with only three good beds. Good variety of food. Water was very sandy during our visit and the caution flag was up all week. Pool was awesome.

Lovely Resort

The resort was very nice and well maintained. Food was delicious! Ocean not so great. Very unlike Cuba or Punta Cana but we were told this before booking. We had a very nice holiday and look forward to returning!

Excellent Vacation

Hotel was great. Lots of choices for food. The drinks were decent considering it was all inclusive. Large pool that was a little cool but extremely refreshing on the hot days. Only negative was the hard beds, but a small price to pay for wonderful time!

Be alive collection Marien

Well I was not real impressed with the food was alot of the same thing. My husband got sick from something he ate at supper Wednesday nights meal .the staff was friendly but I found they really didn't give much information to you on things to do or places you might like to shop The room was clean and the maid was great.

Pristine resort

The resort was a lovely property. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were basic in appearance but all necessities provided. The room felt damp but probably because we were on the main floor not far from the ocean. It was winter and rained early mornings. Food was good. Pool was very nice. It was very clean. We saw no bugs anywhere either. Workout room was a bit lacking but workable. I’d stay Be Live again.

Very nice clean fairly modern, not to big ,good service

good layout, had ocean view, room was very nice , cleaning lady did a great job , fridge always had beer, food was really good ,wide variety , Xmas eve, lobster feast ,Xmas eve the hotel was invaded with new people , hotel seemed to handle it well, could have used an extra bartenders at the pool and beach bars, overall good value

Great resort!

Nice smaller resort with good food and great staff. Easy to get from one area to another and both the pool area and the beach have shaded areas. I enjoyed the buffet and the restaurants. would not hesitate to return.

It was ok

The grounds were beautiful and the pool was clean. They layout of this resort is perfect everything is close no matter where you are. The beach was clean although there is a lot of seaweed. The rooms were fine except our air conditioning stopped working halfway through and even though we complained it never did get fixed. Dining was great food was good. We were there over Christmas with our 4 children, first impression was trying to check in which took 3 hours because they were trying to tell us [... read more] they could not accommodate what we had booked. Finally after arguing with them they all of a sudden we’re able to make this change. The entertainment and shows were awful even our children did not want to watch. Not many decorations and for Christmas. They had all guests eat at the buffet and lines were 30 minutes long so by the time you get everything you want all your food is cold and Christmas show was by far the worst of the week.

A wonderful resort

This was my family's first vacation all together abroad. We had an amazing time thanks to the excellent staff. My daughter has been to the resort before and suggested we all go back as she found it to be clean, great food and amazing entertainment. She was right as the food was excellent at the buffet with various selections and themed nights. The entertainment staff has activities all day long and put on amazing evening shows for the entire family. The beach was peaceful and breezy every day as [... read more] well as the weather was 30+. It was great to cool off at the pools. The drinks were always delicious and strong haha. Our room was in building 6 which is upgraded from the standard rooms. When we arrived there was a welcome Back sign and a fruit basket waiting for US! The location is also great and only a 10 mins bus ride away from the town (flea markets, souvenir shops and local food). We are excited to go back next year :)

Amazed yet again!

This was my 2nd time at the resort and my family's first time. We all had a wonderful time and absolutely loved the staff. The food is excellent at the buffet and our favourite a la carte restaurant was the Mexican.
