Amazing Resort!

This resort had something for everyone! The room was nice and clean. The food was great nothing lacking something for everyone. There was no lacking in the cocktail area, premium drinks for everyone! The staff was accommodating wherever asked for anything and friendly. I would totally recommend this resort and would definitely go again if given the opportunity. Love this resort and people.

Fabulous vacation place

Our stay was fantastic, great food, pool areas very clean, workers very friendly, there was a variety of mixed drinks available, evening show very enjoyable and lots to do for those who would be interested.

Wonderful Experience

We found the staff, food, facilities and attention to detail were all top notch. Minor issues at check in were quickly resolved to our complete satisfaction. The quality of food in ala carte restaurants was exceptional and the best we have experienced in our many vacations over the years. We will definitely consider coming back.

Great resort

We really enjoyed our stay, grounds were immaculate, food was good, wasn’t overly impressed with the service at buffet, but I survived. Loved all the restaurants! Amazing Brazilian bbq and Italian was incredible. I would definitely return, although we spent most of our time off the resort, while we were there we were pleased. Also, pool could have stayed open even an hour longer. 6 is a little early in my opinion. All in all, good time, good food lots of memories.

Excellent week

This is my second stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, adult section. We were once again, very pleased with our stay. The hotel is a little over an hour from the airport, which might be an issue for some, but not for me. Check in was speedy. Our requests were all accommodated. We did have to change our room the second day due to our shower backing up, but staff did their best to assist. Rooms are spacious and very, very clean. We were a bit disappointed in the changes of the menu in the seafood restaurant (which was one of our favourites last year) and in the Italian restaurant (which was also a favourite last year). Staff everywhere were pleasant and helpful in every way.

Excellent resort!

This resort is extremely clean and maintained extremely well. The staff take pride in keeping this resort beautiful. There was a concierge on the bottom level of our building to assist us with any needs or questions we may have. For example our fridge wasn't working we told the concierge within hours they had it working. We needed face cloths one day within a short time we had them in our room. The food is very good...we were very satisfied with most a la carte restaurants. The beach is not your [... read more] typical sandy beach as it was rocky so bring your water shoes but if your a snorkeler there was many fish to see right off the resort which we enjoyed very much. There is an area of the beach that is sandy where they did water aerobics in the ocean. It was fun to participate and see all the people participating. There was always some kind of activity at the beach or pool. The only suggestion I would make is that they could improve the evening entertainment...it wasn't terrible but I would have preferred to watch better musicians. Overall we had a great stay at this resort and are thinking of returning with our family.

Amazing place

Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal in Riviera Maya is a beautiful place to be. We can't ask for better services from the staff and the room are exquisite. Restaurant are great but some menus could be updated with a little more variation. This is our 3rd time around and it hasn't disappointed us at all.

Lovely stay

The food and service at this resort was excellent. The grounds were very well kept and it was a beautiful resort There was also a very nice children's area both at the beach and in the hotel. Although the resort was huge there were continual shuttles going to all the other Bahia hotels on the property. All of the service personnel were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The beach was unfortunately very small and limited in terms of swimming. Two members of our group had rooms that were very d [... read more]amp and mildewed. The air conditioning did not seem to function well. We would stay again but would request a room where the air conditioning worked well!!

Beautiful resort

This resort is beautiful. The lobby and grounds and landscaping is the reason I can say that. The food is the best part of this resort. So if great food is on the top of your list for vacations this is the place! The rooms are ordinary. Nothing great. The room we stayed in 5606 the bed is very firm and for my arthritis not good at all. The resort is very large but has excellent carts coming every few minutes or so to to you where you need to go! And the sand is not powdery soft if that's important to you. The people were absolutely lovely and respectful and kind. We were introduced to our "butler" on day one Armando I believe his name was, who said he would be there for anything we needed, however we asked him for help wt needed, he didn't do it, later in the week another thing we asked help with, with the usual I'll get it done reply and didn't do it again. Either there are too few butlers and he's spread thin or just isn't great at his job. Not sure. Not impressed by this part of the service of this "luxury" resort. Been to other luxury resorts in the past that outshine this one in this respect of service. Overall wt enjoyed our stay. And would recommend this resort to others. BC of the beach not sure if we will be back.

Excellent resort

We were there Jan 19th, 2020 and we had a amazing time The resort and the staff were amazing from the time we arrived until we left My daughter is vegan and the a la carte restaurant ensure that we was able to meet her needs I would go back again

Amazing!

This was my third trip to this resort. We love the staff. They made us feel very welcomed and safe. Grounds are so clean. Food was great. Water sports fun. Waitresses and bartenders were fantastic. Our room was always well stocked. Room service was fast and delicious and the concierge/butlers were great. The infinity pool is beautiful but freezing cold (probably my only complaint). I will return!

Awesome resort

5 star hotel all the way. Staff is the best. So many and so nice. Could not have asked for a better holiday. I would go again in a heartbeat. Loved it from booking with tripcentral.ca and Cindy to our host Sylvan at air Transat at the resort. Everything was good.

The Best One of the Bahia Principe Resorts

This was a very clean resort, especially the rooms. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful, and most of them went out of their way to accommodate requests. The food was better than I had expected...but still not great. Other than that, this was a great resort!

Another super Bahia stay!

We favor the Bahia Resorts and have been to ones in Mexico, D.R. and Jamaica. No matter which one you are at they will solve your problem whether it be the AC, phone or hair dryer very promptly and correctly. Always very pleasant and try hard to go above and beyond to please you. This trip we stayed at the Luxury Akumal and had an Oceanview room near the infinity pool. So good! Food is available I noticed for gluten free and sugar reduced dieters too. All areas are very clean at all times. Entertainment was average but enjoyable. If you what to take the guessing out of a resort just book a Bahia resort. We have never had a bad experience with them.

Nice Resort

The resort was very nice and clean. Their was a good assortment of food in the Buffet which was impressive. The beach and the pools were clean and good service One issue we noticed was that the resort(representative) never explained the resort and its amenities. The other negative was that when we arrived (3 adults), we were given one bed (not good) It was resolved next day. I definitely would come back.

You will not be disappointed

Great Resort to Stay at!

The hotel was great and the view was amazing. The staff were always very kind and answered all questions we had during our stay. The food and beverage selection was also great at every meal. Staying at the Luxury Akumal also gives you access to all of the other 3 resorts so you can really never be bored. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this resort!

Awesome Vacation

The Luxury Bahai Principe Akumel is an amazing resort. Upon arrival our rooms were ready to our delight the room was awesome. Every meal we had at the resort was of top quality the buffets left nothing for you to desire and the A La Cartes were top notch. Pools and beaches were clean and well serviced , next time I will bring some water shoes for walking on the beach. Great resort , we will return and would recommend.

Best Vacation Ever

I came to the Akumal with my family (in total a group of 11). During check in, the lady at the front desk ensured my family and I stayed together in the building which I greatly appreciated. The rooms were large and beautiful, I had fresh towels and a made bed everyday. The trolly drivers were very accommodating and friendly, some would go out of their way to drive me and my 5 yr old home (even if it wasn’t on their route) The food was delicious and always new and exciting as the akumal h [... read more]ad new themes every night. My favourite part were all the activities available. I participated in soccer, Zumba in the water, a dance class on the beach, swimming with A dolphin named Azul, jetskiing, a 3KM run with Jesus and a bike tour with Victor 2.

Hotel Room unsatisfactory. Staff wonderful. Food servers tried hard but seemed understaffed

The hotel room in 76 block was suboptimal due to toilet not flushing properly; musty odour in room; musty odours of pillow; pillows were very flat; AC may not be fully working? The grounds were very clean. Disturbing odour between the 7's and 8's blocks. The trolley drivers were very accommodating.Room services excellent. Bicycle tour with Victor2 was fantastic. Beach bars were extraordinarily hospitable and efficient.
