X-caret Hotel

This was my second trip to this hotel. It was an awesome week with a few bumps but good all the same. The rooms are nice and clean, the beach is small but clean and love the man made inlet so I can go swimming without the waves. The food was good plenty to eat. Dinners are all a la carte so was able to enjoy all the restaurants without eating supper at the buffet. The staff was friendly and helpful the grounds are well kept, love the wild life. Excellent Family Vacation

The resort was great, we definitely enjoyed the unlimited XCARET. I plan to visit this resort again. The resort didn't seem busy which was definitely nice. The restaurants were good however we have had better at other resorts. The beds in the room were doubles as compared to queens, queens would have been nice. The resort was kept very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this resort!

Amazing resort!!!

This was a great resort!. Friendly staff, nice clean rooms and beautiful grounds. The restaurants were nice, our favorites were seafood and oriental. It was nice to be so close to the attractions like Xcarat. Would go back for sure! Our vacation was unforgettable!!! Thank you everybody!!!

AMAZING TRIP!!

The Occidental Grand Flamenco Xcaret Resort was amazing!! The staff, food, drinks and entertainment were on point. The pools and beaches were awesome and very well maintained. Thanks for a very enjoyable vacation!!!

Great trip

This hotel is quite large so it offers a lot of extras but is not easy for everyone to navigate. People with mobility issues and small children can take advantage of the shuttle but it stills requires a fair amount of walking. The grounds were kept quite nicely and pools were clean. The jungle paths full of animals were great. The beach area is small but being in a protected cove, offers easy entry and exit and no big waves knocking people over. We did not hear of anyone having issues with the food. The a la cartes were just okay. Nothing great but not bad either. The entrance to Xcaret was a huge selling feature for us. The unlimited access option that we took was definitely worth it. What a great park. So many things to see and do.

Great resort!

Hotel was large and clean. Food was good! Many choices and restaurants! Stayed in the royal club, too many kids, needs and 18+, we paid the extra with the assumption of no children not the case. Overall great.

Awesome Resort!!!!

My impression of the grounds, and the layout were greatly exceeded. My Fiancee and I were in building 21 (by mistake) and enjoyed waking up to deer, Iguanas, and coatimundi every morning. I was very impressed with the beach restaurant and area surrounding. The salt water pools were also excellent. Very clean resort.

Beautiful resort and great service!

Amazing resort, super friendly people working there. Very large and beautifully maintained property, variety of wildlife ... Buffet was pretty amazing too, what a selection and so tasty and fresh! So much to do, resort is right next to Xcaret Park! We would love to visit again some day!

Fun vacation

Very nice hotel, lots to see and do. Give it 3 stars as the buffet restaurants were not the cleanest. Lots of dishes and utensils had old food stuck to it. Night time shows and entertainment were very fun and well designed.

Great family resort! Something for everyone

The hotel itself was great! The service was average. Grounds were clean! Food was great! No one got sick! Love all the animals everywhere! Wish room service was included. The Excaret park is a must-see. Definitely recommended getting an unlimited pass. Too much to do there. Need at least three days to see it all!

Major explosion on site

The hotel was nice the grounds are well-kept. Wild life was cool to see and snorkeling in the inlet was awesome the explosion in the swim club wasn't so cool first night we got there. explosion blew apart the building and blew out the windows on all three floors of two units. Happened at 6:00 am so no one was hurt. Didn't sleep good for the remaining days there.

Amazing resort

This was a clean resort, the food was really good and the restaurants a la carte was excellent (but when they say the dress code for men are long pants, they should stick to that; no short). Nice big pool with hot tubs .Staff is really nice. The only thing for us was that there was no beach.

Had a fantastic time....

The hotel/resort was beautiful, clean, well maintained and the food was fantastic.. However the resort is huge and there is a possibility that you can get stuck in buildings 11 or 12 which is very far from everything and you might not get a balcony or a view.... Tons of wildlife and a must see without having to go to the Excharet park but that is another wonderful experience in itself!!! Beautiful resort

The people were fantastic, food was good, loved the taco/pizza place. Kept very clean. Only complaint would be had to ask all the time for water and beer to be added to our fridge. They only put two in a day but when asked had no problem doing it for you. Wild life was cool.

Amazing first visit to Mexico

This was a great place to stay. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Yes the resort is large but it allowed us to do a lot of exploring. Staff everyone were very accomadations. Our room was beautiful..

Amazing service fro Trip Central/Carol Webb

All service provided by Carol at Trip Central was above and beyond. We will definitely be calling her for our next vacation. I have been to Playa Del Carmen 6 times so I have a lot to compare to. This resort is very different and very cool! Really awsome jungle experience Amazing service from the hotels guest services in spite of the front desk being horrible. But we still really enjoyed this resort and would definitely go back after all front desk employees are fired!! :)

Great resort - too bad the beach area is so small

excellent hotel, mostly friendly staff although the service in the restaurants could be a little quicker, pools were great and the tiny beach area was good. Overall the resort was a great spot for a vacation

Occidnetal Grand Xcaret

The resort was a bit disorienting at first. We didnt find quite a few things until our last couple of days. We also had some difficulty with our excursions. The room was clean and comfortable and the trails within the resort were fun to walk because of the wildlife you would come across.The evening shows were very well done and it was a nice surprise to see different vendors set up around the theatre during a couple of evenings. A great Getaway

The room was very clean and well taken care of. There were many animals to see and the large resort had some Mayan ruins around the resort. The The pools were amazing and kept clean at all times. The staff were very friendly and looked after our every need. We enjoyed the entertainment although we did not go every night, but when we did it was entertaining and enjoyable. We had a great holiday

Family friendly

I really enjoyed my stay right from the start the lobby was beautiful the rooms are very well done loved hearing the birds in the morning when the Sun rose.the activities for kids and adults we're very entertaining over all l would definitely stay here again
