Beautiful resort, very clean ,the beach is amazing .

Loved it the rooms were clean , the staff are very friendly, the food was so delicious and they have a big variety of it,the resort is so clean, our grand children had a great time at the children shows and in the pools and the beautiful clean sandy beach, we love the entertainments every night. We were 8 in our group and Jose at the buffet was a great help to make sure we are sitting together. BEAUTIFUL RESORT

Great Beach and Pools! Food was fantastic and great selection. Great presentation! Plus you have special thened restaurants to reserve. Staff was friendly and accommodating. What more can you ask for ! I would highly recommend this resort !

All in all a nice vacation

Hotel rooms- a little dated but still ok Food- only ate at the buffets but was happy with the selection and quality Beach- busy but fantastic Service- impeccable if you tipped. Extremely friendly staff Insects- only at dusk and late evenings at the lobby. Bug spray helps. No issues with sand bites at the beach. Entertainment- very good. Resort is great,

Just had a week stay at this most amazing place which I highly recommends for a great vacation. Great personal, Has an amazing buffet, highly efficient transportation throughout the resort, plenty of swimming pools, the beach was great. However, there were a few drawbacks. The bath room should be upgraded and modernize, such as humidity fan and bathtub assisted rail installed.

Bed bugs

Enjoyed the resort and it's amazing beach, beautiful landscaping , and great food BUT did not enjoy coming home to having bed bug bites erupt on my legs and arms. This was a first for me while travelling . I want the mansgemen to investigate our room and get back to us. The box spring was very old and stained and I am sure that is the source. I expect some compensation.. We stayed in building 20 room 204.

Wonderful Resort

We had a great time at the resort. The staff is very friendly and the food was fantastic. Everyone in our group had a great time from relaxing at the beach and the pools to enjoying the daily activities at the resort.

Dream Vacation

The Grand Bahia Principe was a dream come true! From the moment we arrived to the day we departed the staff treated us like royalty! The buffet was outstanding with a wide assortment of foods for every taste bud. The wait staff became friends. The grounds were well manicured and beautifully kept. The pools were clean and the drinks were plentiful. Our favourite part was soaking up the sun on the sandy beach and swimming in the ocean. Very nice resort

Very clean and well maintained. Great food, nice pools and beach. It's a big Resort, but there are lots of buggies to take you from Buffet and Lobby to the beach and your room. One word of caution the tiles around the pool areas can be very slippery when wet...especially for children who like to run!

Ok resort.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. It is an older resort and showing its age in the rooms updates needed. Pool area and beach area clean . Hotel staff friendly , with a bit of a language barrier . We had problem things not being restocked. Dining area clean service was good. Food was fine staff great. Overall a nice resort but to large for my liking.

Mixed Feelings

I knew the resort was big when I booked it; but found it is not the kind of resort for me. I didn’t like having to take the trolley around. The grounds and rooms are very well kept. The service was poor and there is a language barrier.

Gone downhill since our last visit

Staff was great, buffet and a la carts were amazing! The grounds are always perfectly kept. We were here about 5 years ago and it felt more “5 star” then. They no longer have robes in the rooms, which was just such a lovely thing to have, never had our mini bar stocked once during our stay, they leave 2 beers and 2 pop in your fridge, and that’s it. Coffee machine didn’t work and it was like pulling teeth to get a working one, phone in the room worked occasionally and was so staticky you [... read more] could barely hear, tv was of poor sound/picture quality. House keeping was minimal as well. It’s a beautiful place but definitely more of a “3 star” feeling.

Great resort@

We've stayed at this resort twice and have been very pleased both times. Great service, nice rooms, yummy food and awesome pools. A la carte restaurants were fantastic. The beach was very well maintained with plenty of available loungers no matter what time of day you go. We would definitely come again. Excellent bang for your buck.

Beware

This resort was beautiful however 4 days in I got violently ill. 2 days later both my husband and I got violently ill. We spent the next 3 days in the hospital...where almost nobody spoke English. We were diagnosed with gastroenteritis ... Caused by the food according to the doctor. A week and a half later I'm still not fully well.

Great Resort, amazing staff

The staff were amazing and the resort was very clean! The events they had we're enjoyable and they had lots of little things happening around the resort. I would definitely come back. Only thing I would like to see is their rooms updated (at least the one I stayed in)

Will definitely go back!

The level of service from the front desk to the house keeping ..dinning staff and beach bar was phenomenal... it was our first visit to Dominican and this hotel blew our expectations right out of the water!! The resort is beautifully manicured and so clean.. the food was exceptional and the beach was beautiful.. can’t wait to take our children back next year! Thank you to all the amazing staff at the grand Bahia Principe for making our week!! See you soon

Great time

hotel was nice, big resort and organized well. food was awesome, and tripcentral made sure everything was good for our trip! Missed out flight to get home but we’re well taken care of by air canada.

Very bad service - managers were useless

there is a restriction of 3 restaurants . bad room service .. good beach and pools .. but bad service and customer service ... pay 100 more and stay at a different resort . u might be better. i was all stressed because of bad service

Grande Bahia Principe Punta Cana

overall had a great time. The place is beautiful. Pools, especially by the ocean, gorgeous. Food was very good. Lots variety. Beach was nice. A little seed-weedy nest shore but that was from stuff coming in from the ocean, not the beach itself so think they’d just the way it is right now. The rooms were nice. Spacious enough. The couple main negatives: Getting through customs took over 2 1/2 hr to get through. They finger printed each person going throughly quite time consuming. Just  [... read more] an FYI really. We actually missed our original bus to the hotel but our Rep got us in another bus so worked fine. Check in was good. The had two rooms on main floor near lobby so was nice. They had given us two rooms both with king beds vs one with two queens and other with king. But both rooms had a cot in them and each had a couch that was comfortable to sleep on - as per the kids! So that was fine and because we were close to the lobby it was fine. We decided not to ask for a switch. Our keys needed reprogramming multiple times so this was a little pain getting locked out of Both rooms. The entertainment was good and right beside us. Bars were good. We spent most of our time at the beach and beach pools during the day. We took our own cups which was good because a few times at the beach they ran out of glasses. Lobby bar was good but closed st 1130 so this was early in our opinion. And the beach restaurant that was supposed to be open over night wasn’t the two times we went down. Not the end of the world. I just made sure I grabbed a couple snacks for later st dinner or we hit the dining room after the even show for a snack. The hard sell on the beach from the vendors and the resort sellers at times too much. Much Different from Cuba which did not have same hard sell. Overall it was a great place and experience. I would go back to the Dominican again and recommend this place. If I went back I’d ask go a room near the front like we had. It’s only a 10 min walk to the beach and the trolleys run often.

Nice resort good food clean

We ask to book at Bavaro ended up somehow at puntacana. Staff was nice to accommodate us to join rest of family at Bavaro. But be aware of things in room, my daughter jersey got stolen from our room. We ask to check housekeeping and through guest services to see if it was taken out by mistake with laundry. How ever after several calls and in person inquiry we were told they can’t find it. It has a sentimental value to my daughter. I will never go there again. I m amazed how they single ou [... read more]t just that jersey. It was 49er kaeper Nick jersey she seems to have it with her everywhere she goes. Happen to just join the preivelage club same day it’s a shame.

Excellent Resort

It was an amazing place to stay.Worth to visit again.I love the pools and the beach.Nice ambiance for relaxing.Food was excellent.Waiters are nice some are funny and jokers.Night entertainment was amazing too.
