Sugar Bay Barbados: Beautiful all inclusive resort!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Bay Resort. It is small, and very family oriented. There are 2 a la carte restaurants, which were excellent. The beach is beautiful and clean. The staff is so friendly and really make a point to get to know you, especially your kids. Great place to stay if your looking for an all inclusive experience.

Sandals Royal Barbados: Most memorable Sandals experience with amazing butlers!

My husband and I just got back from 10 days here. We stayed in Wahoo building (#7), 4th floor Butler suite, which is 2 buildings away from the beach and overlooking the infinity pool with partial ocean view. Our butlers Crystal S., Archiebald and Abigail made this our most favourite Sandals experience so far...what a great team they are; they took the time to learn what we liked, left special treats in our room, surprised us with a wonderful private lunch on our anniversary, and were just such f [... read more]riendly and lovely people who really put extra effort to ensure their guests have the best time possible. We ate at virtually every restaurant, going next door to the original Sandals for some meals and drinks, and enjoyed every meal! There aren't really any downsides to mention, other than the sea has some seaweed and mushy sand and not much of a walkout, but the beach itself is nice powdery sand. All the staff are polite and friendly, and it's obvious that this Sandals is run exceptionally well. The room was lovely and still looked almost new, as the resort is just over a year old (I think?) and it had plenty of closet space and the largest shower I've ever seen. A plus in our suite was that you can close sliding doors to the bedroom section if one person wants to watch TV late or wakes early. This is our third Sandals /Beaches experience and so far, the best...largely due to the quality of the staff but also because of the lovely grounds and facilities.

Starfish Discovery Bay: Good Value

As of last December this hotel is now part of the Starfish Group which, as I understand, is 51% owned by Sunwing who will manage the property. I believe the property will be improved upon this year. It's an older hotel and signs of need are everywhere but the staff are friendly and caring. Unfortunately during our stay some staff were off sick and that did manifest itself with fewer bodies available to serve. This not a fancy place. If you are expecting 4 or 5 star facilities then you likely [... read more] will be disappointed. If you want a nice spot to chill out and do nothing more then Discovery Bay will fit the bill. The price is right; hopefully after the renovations are completed Sunwing won't jack-up the cost, making it harder to afford. I suggested to the Manager, Kathy, that if there is one thing they can do immediately then that would be to improve the coffee. All things considered our stay was good.

Hilton Barbados: Amazing Resort..

The resort is beautiful..The view on both sides is to die for...Ocean view or bay view....The staff is so friendly and look out for your every need...The resort itself is very easy to get around....The food was delicious to and not overly expensive,but cheaper if you go in to town...Taxi to town is only $10 US each way...Well worth it...Or you can take the bus for $2.00...Taxi,s are right at the resort always...Frederick the Bell man was super nice and greeted us everyday he was there.The room a [... read more]re beautiful and and spacious.Very clean to....Plenty of towels and face clothes...The pools are small but nobody hardly in them,everyone was at the beach.There is plenty of chairs all over....The Executive breakfast was good to,not a big choice but .there was bacon or sausage and some kind of eggs each day...y...Breakfast at the Lighthouse to was only $15.00 US each...Worth it to... Overall this was a beautiful resort all around...And if you think Canadians are polite and will liked people.These people are right up there with us.Maybe a little higher.. Definitly worth going to visit... Oh and we thought this was the best spot for a resort in Barbados...Wtg Hilton...

Hilton Barbados: Hilton Barbados

We were very happy with our stay at the Hilton Barbados. Friendly polite Hilton staff greeted us when we cleared customs. Our driver provided an over view of Barbados’ history. The hotel had stunning views, lovely pool, and terrific restaurants. The highlight of our stay was snorkeling with sea turtles in the bay across from the Hilton. I will definitely put the Hilton Barbados on my list of places to return to. Thank you Nicole for selecting this hotel for us.

Sandals Royal Barbados: Needs to improve customer service

A nice property, frustration starts when you register to find out all the specialty restaurants are all booked for the time we like, really, for 10 days? We did after complaining get some reservations, food was just ok...impossible to get a beach chair as all are covered with towels even though they may not be occupied. We heard butlers arrive at 5 am to fight for the best chairs for their clients. After 10 am apparently it’s a free for all. Sandals Barbados: Fantastic Getaway

Hotel grounds, staff, food, weather was unbelievable. I highly recommend Buch's Steak house and seafood restaurant and the Indian restaurant. Great service. It was truly paradise. No complaints at all.

The Club Barbados Resort: The Club-Barbados!

The resort is rustic (made of wood construction and not a concrete jungle), has character, is centrally located and is a nice and safe walk to Holetown and Chattel Shops and the closeby Duty Free store. Our room was on the lower level and faced the water front which was simply great! Room was clean, tidy and habitable. Took us a couple of days to get used to the pillows! Daily cleaning of our room was of a good standard and always obliging, the Bajan style. Cuisine was good. Evening din [... read more]ners were al la carte in both restaurants but required reservations which was a bit of a task (as we did forget to do so a couple of times). We were not served any fresh crabs (only in patty form) or lobster during our 7 day stay and I guess the management could do better here. Fresh fruits were available but no papaya, sugar apple or plums. Watermelon, pineapple, melons, apple and oranges were served fresh. I love the local Bajan cuisine. Lovely local folks and hard working staff. Durwayne (hope I spelt his name correctly), the bartender (Beach bar and Lobby bar) was excellent. Remembered guests names. Bravo and thank you for the 10 year old Rum and your super service. We wish him every success! The security guards were professional and friendly and you could have a decent conversation with them!

Starfish Discovery Bay: Quiet, Clean and Lovable!

PROS - Small resort was quiet and very clean. Could use some updates in areas for sure but it is still very well maintained. Snorkelling was good right off the beach. Food was excellent, but smaller number of selections due to the size of the resort (not like a huge Mexico resort buffet). Lots of mongoose, monkeys and birds on the property. Staff was amazing!! CONS - Peddlers on the beach became annoying and even the motorized equipment sellers that sit there all day on the beach became ruder a [... read more]s the week progressed because we weren't booking anything from them.

The Club Barbados Resort: great vacation

the hotel is small and quiet, very relaxing, rooms are well kept and clean. The water sports are wonderful and staff very pleasant and helpful. the restaurant food was well prepared and plentiful, however we stayed 10 days and would have liked a bit more variety in the menu. There is no elevator in this hotel, so if you can not do stairs, make sure you book a room on the ground floor. we were given a room on the 4th floor, however the last flight was a spiral stair case, which I can not do. They [... read more] quickly found us a ground floor room. not much of a beach at this hotel, they do have lounge chairs set up on a sandy strip raised up from the water, which is nice, but if you are looking to walk the water front there isn't really any here. Stephan at the activities team was very helpful and a pleasure to meet.

Starfish Discovery Bay: Good value for money!

This hotel is an older property and probably why it earned a 3.5 star rating, but it is well-maintained and the grounds are spotless. It equals the 4 star properties that I have stayed at in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. I am not a pool person so thus was not disappointed in the extremely small swimming pool! The beach front is small, but nice. The beach here reminded me of the one in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It gets deep fast! Food wise, the buffets are smaller than the other all-inclusive properties that I have stayed at. This hotel is about quality and not quantity. I thoroughly enjoyed the `a la carte dinners. As someone who is vegan/vegetarian I was not disappointed with the options. However, I was disappointed with the lack of local fruits. I was expecting to see papayas, mangoes, etc. but instead what we got was what is available in the Canadian grocery stores. Stepping out of the resort I saw all kinds of local fruits being sold in the markets. Finally, the location of the hotel is excellent. Shopping, supermarkets, pubs, banks, etc. were all just a 5-10 min walk. It is about a 30-45 min drive from the airport, but worth it!

Sandals Royal Barbados: Incredible Vacation !!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Sandals Royal Barbados. We have never been to a Sandals resort nor have we been to Barbados although we have traveled extensively all inclusive . Everything about our trip was amazing. The resort is only 15 minutes from the airport which makes a huge difference when you've been travelling all day. We had the Butler swim up suite. Our butlers were excellent. We had Kwame and Stephen. They were professional and friendly and catered to our every need. The weather in Barbados was beautiful. The weather report said we'd get rain all week which was a bummer however when it rained it was only for a few minutes which actually cooled everything off since it was hot. We love the heat so we didn't mind. The restaurants were wonderful. We ate at each restaurant . The Merry Monkey was a lovely British pub that offered wonderful ciders and a great selection of pub food. We ate at Kimonos where the chef came to our table and entertained us while he cooked a delicious Asian dinner. My husband hates fish and I don't eat any meat. Every restaurant had choices that we were both happy with which is difficult sometimes at home. An awesome addition was was Dinos Pizza. I've never had pizza that delicious before. We also loved the rooftop pool. There is a bar and the view is unreal. We could see the landscape of Barbados while sipping a cocktail in the pool. All of the staff were helpful and attentive. I went to the spa and had Itasha who was wonderful. I had a hot stone massage which I would recommend to anyone . It's worth it. Because we were on our honeymoon we had a candlelight dinner on the beach. It was amazing to sit right next to the ocean with delicious food and the waves lapped beside us. Our dinner was fantastic. The layout of the resort was great as well. Everything was just seconds away. We have been to other resorts and found in some cases you had to walk a longer distance just to get a coffee or a drink. It was like a mini village where everything you need was just a step away. The water sports were fun. We went kayaking multiple times and it's included in the cost of your trip. Other resorts we've been to would offer water sports, but at an additional cost. It's all included which was great. We have now decided that Sandals is our go to place for all of our vacations.

Bougainvillea Beach Resort: We had a wonderful time!

Bougainvillea Beach Resort was very clean and staff were very friendly. It's a small resort in comparison to a place like Sandals so there are only 2 restaurants; however, that wasn't an issue for us because we prefer a less crowded environment. The food at both restaurants was excellent and we didn't have problems with getting reservations. The Concierge was helpful in organizing a Food Tour in Bridgetown which was a lot of fun. It's just the right distance from the Gap...easy to get there b [... read more]ut a lot quieter. Lovely beach and pool...comfortable chaise loungers. Just be aware that there aren't any elevators...it's a long walk to the top floor...but bell hops are available to help with carrying up your luggage.

Accra Beach Hotel and Spa: Get treated like a king in the comfort of your own home

Lounging by the pool hearing the crashing sounds of the ocean just meters away was an incredible experience. The hotel itself is absolutely breathtaking. But its the staff here that make this place so amazing. Every morning you are greeted by friendly welcoming faces who go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied and happy. When coming back to the hotel my boyfriend often used the words "were almost home". Everyone is so personal and accomodating, it was truly a pleasure staying here.

Sandals Barbados: EXCELLENT RESORT

Myself and husband had a fantastic time in Sandals Barbados. Loved all the food especially Bombay and Chi and of course Café de Paris. Highly recommend a tour of the island. Will definitely return!!! Excursions included caves and critters, Carlise Beach, snorkeling with the turtles and all day tour of the island. Just awesome!!

Radisson Aquatica: 0k Resort

The hotel was ok but not great. Front desk staff were great but can't say that for the rest of the staff. Housekeeping shows up at 5pm to clean the room. Says they offer room service but the staff won't answer the phone. Sitting in the restaurant, you can hear the phone ringing and ringing. Staff treated you with indifference like you were an inconvenience to them. Would not recommend this hotel. only thing going for it is location and the rooms were clean. They are having a bad problem with sea [... read more]weed, so the beach isn't as clean as others.

Sandals Barbados: Amazing

We had a fantastic time! Everything was amazing!!the only downside was the beach. We were disappointed with all the seaweed The service and food was great. The hotel was clean and the entertainment was fantastic. We will certainly return

The Club Barbados Resort: Below expectation

Hotel is old pools cracked no wait stuff araund pool area, food typical resort food, very strange dress code. Not worth money they are charging, poor entertainment. Stuff very nice and fiendly. Be aware there are rooms faci g washrooms and trip central does not tell you that and does not help you No beach enterence in ocean hard

Port St Charles: it was adequate

our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The tv remote did not work, we contacted them and they did come and replace batteries in remote, did not work again next day, we did not call again as it was not a priority. Our safe did not work, we called a couple of times. the light bulb in bathroom was burnt out, they were quick to replace that. there was always something missing when they replaced our towels/face clothes.

All the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. To ensure that we had a incredible. Stay. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large and clean and bright we loved our large balcony overlooking the ocean will definitely be back
