Relaxing vacation

The resort was very nice. Good food , beautiful property. The only draw back was even with butler service we couldn't get dinner reservations. We spoke to one couple whom had been there before and they said they book on line before arriving at the resort. Unfortunately the last two days was the beginning of high school March break in the US. A lot of very young kids drinking and acting foolish. Over all a very nice trip. We had booked a king size bed but were given two doubles in error. The room [... read more] was nice so we kept it instead of moving.

Can't wait to go back!!

Our family really enjoyed the Majestic Colonial. The hotel room was great, the food was very good and the beachfront and pool areas were wonderful. The kids area with water slides were very much enjoyed by our five year old. Definitely recommend this resort and hope to go back soon!

AMAZING

A little slice of heaven. You will never go hungry on this resort. You will always find something. Rooms and resort are very clean. Japanese restaurant is a must. You can always find seats poolside or on the beach. Love that it is a small resort. Will be back.

Great holiday

Luxurious hotel and grounds. Staff always at work keeping the resort and beach clean. Great bartenders and nice restaurants.tThere are plenty of activities day and night. For trips off the resort there sre many excursions to choose from.

Absolutely an amazing beautiful resort! Our second stay there, that is how much we love it !!!

The grounds are beautiful keeping them groomed and spotless every day. The rooms are amazing, large, spotless, everything you would ever want a hotel room. Huge showers, separate from toilet, huge jet tubs. lots of closets,.etc. The beach is amazing , and the main pool is absolutely out of this world. Lots of chairs, huts, etc. Staff go over and above to do anything for you. We love this place !!!

Second time here, still awesome!

Wonderful resort. This is the second time we've been at the Majestic Punta Cana. Last year we stayed at the Majestic Elegance side and this year we decided to try the Majestic Colonial side. Both are excellent value for the money. Food is good, rooms are good, resort layout and accessibility is excellent, and the staff is courteous and friendly. There's always lots of huts available on the beautiful Bavaro Beach, but if you prefer to lounge by a pool you'll have plenty of choices there as well.  [... read more]We're already planning our return to the Majestic next year. If you've been resort-hopping trying to find your "every-year" vacation destination you should definitely try the Majestic, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful Resort

This is the nicest resort we've ever stayed in. The grounds were beautiful, the pools were clean and well maintained and our room was very large with two balconies. We had upgraded to the Colonial Club, the adults only section. We had access to a butler if we needed help with anything. He made a point of checking in with us each day. Our bar fridge was restocked every day. There was a light buffet in the Colonial Club's lounge with sandwiches, snacks and wine, along with various liquors. There w [... read more]as always someone at the Club's desk to assist us with dinner reservations and answering questions. Overall the food was OK. Breakfast buffets were quite good with lots on offer. Evening meals, the meat was often tough and sometimes over/under done. We've learned not to expect gourmet food at even the best resorts. We've been on a couple of open water cruises and their food far exceeds anything from the land resorts. We avoided the adults only pools for the most part because of the noisy swimup bars. In spite of our minor concerns, this is a resort we can highly recommend.

Very nice resort with excellent customer service

We enjoyed our stay in Majestic Colonial Punta Cana. We found the food to be excellent and generally all the activities. There was only one thing that I would say was not the best and that is the beach party with small kids. they seem to have these once or twice a week and when they do it, they close the main buffet, and force everyone to eat at the beach, while this is nice for almost everone, if you have small kids it is really a nounce. Hint, if you have small children, book for that night one of the restaurtants.

Fabulous Resort!!!

This was our first time in Dominican Republic and we stayed at the Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana. We loved it! We stayed in the Adult section Junior Jacuzzi with butler service and highly recommend this! Room service was great, we had BBQ chicken pizza late one night. It arrived on time and was hot, flavor truly memorable!!! The adult only pools were very clean and lots of lounge chairs. The grounds were beautiful and very well cared for. The reception area was impressive with a pia [... read more]no bar, a huge staircase, an elevator and lots of seating on both levels. The food was delicious and lots of choices at the Restaurant "Supreme" Buffet, with different themes some evenings. We particularly enjoyed the Restaurant Ma+suri' featuring oriental and Japanese food. The Steakhouse, seafood restaurants were also very good. The staff very friendly. The beach area and sand was absolutely lovely. I went into the ocean every day and enjoyed the waves as there was always a breeze, so it never felt too hot. There was a clinic on site with a Doctor available 24/7. Thankfully we did not need to use this service. There was lots of entertainment and you could dance all evening or sit in the spacious seating areas and enjoy a drink... The Pina Colada with spiced rum and a sprinkle of cinnamon was my favourite. The 'Majestica" and 'Dirty Monkey" were close seconds and hold great memories of a special vacation.

Beautiful Resort

This was our 5th time to the Majestic resorts in Punta Cana. We had an amazing time and Loved every minute. They have an incredible staff who really make sure that your vacation is the best. Don't think about it, just go.

Awesome week at the Colonial

We were part of a group of 20 who were treated like royalty! Our butler Felix was beyond attentive and helpful and made our stay so comfortable. He was the best! Awesome beach and staff. Rooms are beautiful as are the pools.

Amazing resort

Love everything about this resort the service was great the people were great always a good time.Love the food and how clean everything was.Love the beach and everything that was often to us can't wait to go back

Fabulous Resort

We just returned from 1 week at this wonderful resort.The beach is amazing.Well maintained with many cots and huts for shade if needed.Bar onsite . The rooms are comfy and clean.Many restaurants to choose from and we tried them all.Our favourites were the Japanese and the Mexican(best margaritas!) The pool was lovely.Lots of space to swim and relax.Again never a problem finding a cot. Many activities to enjoy.Tried the aquafitness and Zumba on the beach.The entertainment crew were so much fun [... read more]!Especially enjoyed the karaoke nights and the Monday night beach party. Had so much fun and would definitely return.Thanks so much for the wonderful time!

Can't get enough of this resort!

Majestic Colonial resort was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. The cleanliness, the food, the entertainment and most importantly the STAFF were absolutely AMAZING! I would especially like to thank my butler David and Daniel and Juan Luis from the Steakhouse as well as Steakhouse management. You all went over and beyond and I can't wait to return. GRACIAS!!!

Family fun

This is our third visit, and we love the resort. The people and service are exceptional. Food, fantastic, one night I started with the desserts as there are so many to choose from, and they are incredible. We had Fransisco as our butler, and we told him of two birthdays we were celebrating. He decorated the rooms and brought cakes. Spectacular Resort

Everything was excellent. Very clean, food great, friendly people, beautiful surroundings, excellent entertainment every night. The beach was amazing; spent most of our days there. First time we went back to the same place. Favourite of all our vacations!! Would recommend to anyone.

Great Getaway!

We had a great time, Large selection of great food, Awesome drinks, Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool is amazing, beach is beautiful, the water is a bit rough though. This resort is split in half now and I would highly recommend spending the extra for the “colonial club”. Over all it is a great resort, with lots to do!

Best resort ever

We have been to many all inclusive resorts in our travels but Majestic Colonial surpases them all. All of the staff were very polite, helpful and always smiling. This resort prides themselves on cleanliness. There were very few bugs. There were many choices of food items to please any fussy eater. The beach is very large and there was never a shortage of beach loungers. Our room was perfect. We would love to go back.

Fantastic Resort - Really Beautiful

Extreamly clean and very well maintained! Very friendly staff. Fun pool and ocean activities but you could always find a quiet place to rest with no problem if you did not want to participate. Nice ocean side beds were a special treat. Separate adult and kids areas for everyone's comfort. Rooms beautiful and very clean. Nightly entertainment is average - but hey, this is not Broadway. 11 bars on site so a drink or water always close by!. Two daily huge buffets one at each e [... read more]nd of the resort. Plus 3 specialty restaurants. Be sure to check out the Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of you - its fun and delicious. The other two restaurants I found not so good and leave you hungary - but you have the buffets. There are kids areas, night club, casino, etc. Plus an all night restaurant. Sailing and kayaking included at no extra charge ! Huge pools go on forever and a fun time - our group of 48 people (my daughters wedding) ranged from from 9 yrs old - to 84. And everyone loved it and had a fantastic time. Only suggestions I would strongly suggest: 1) NO SMOKING, ESPECIALLY OF CIGARS in the nightly show areas - truly unbearable for adults and DOUBLY FOR CHILDREN. 2) Have a MUCH BETTER initial orientation at the beginning- it took me 2 days to feel oriented. Just pointing in a general direction - food there, ocean that way, more food that way, snacks down there - was utterly useless and made me feel alienated. But truly - overall a wonderful place.

Nice on the surface

Hotel was beautiful on the surface, but lots of problems if you looked closely. Food was awful and service was subpar. Staff routinely did not serve what was requested and spoke poor or no English. Staff also spoke rudely to me several times.
