Very nice resort

the ground area was very big and easy to walk the room was big and clean and the dinning area was friendly and good they have a lot for food from difference cloture and it good to experiment other food we hade a good time

Met every expectation

The minute we arrived we were impressed with our room...exploring the resort was great fun and the place was so clean and the staff were very friendly...professional and fun. Maid service very good. Food was great .beech nice but coral sand.

We stayed in Villa 28, the room was very clean but had a terrible smell to it. We found if you left the sliding door open it helped. The buffet's were ok the food was always cold. Breakfast was the best meal. The Jerk Hut was great. The Jerk Chicken was amazing. The beaches were really nice and the staff were wonderful. The shows at night were really good.

Beautiful location, wonderful climate

The hotel is a beautiful location with spectacular grounds. The food is good, the service in the restaurants is good as well, staff are very polite and helpful but at times in the buffets they were short-staffed and seemed to be rushed and the trays were slow o be replenished (this was not our experience 4 years ago at this resort). There was a fair bit of pressure to "join" the Palladium Travel Club which was being pushed in the lobby daily and no way to show that you had already refused the op [... read more]portunity. The rooms are starting to show their age, light card switches are touchy, screens had rips, bathrooms had grimy edges, doors to patio and closets were hard to open. We were led to believe the resort had gone Non-smoking - but found that there were still ashtrays all along the main walkways which led to smokers congregating there, which meant our asthmatic friend had to run the gauntlet every day on the way to meals. Smokers also congregated at the Infinity Bar in spite of no-smoking signs posted there. If the resort is non-smoking, then the rule should be enforced. If not then say so and those with issues will make alternate arrangements.

Beautiful property, uneven maintenance & food

This is huge complex located halfway between Montego Bay and Negril (gorgeous beach). It is a lovely property and facility but this being eroded by uneven maintenance of rooms - esp air ducts and plumbing, patio doors. Although billed as a non-smoking property, huge ashtrays invite smokers along all major corridors of the facility - right outside restaurants and their patios and all major facilities of the resort. This is not a good place for asthmatics (perhaps Palladium would consider a smokin [... read more]g only area in future developments). Food in the à la carte restaurants is superior but service is not superior to that available at the buffets (Ocea stands out as a particularly good server). That said, bread in all areas is very good (kudos to Garth and the rest of the baking team), ditto offerings at the carving, omelet and pasta stations. Labeling at the buffets is often very misleading. Bar staff are almost uniformly charming and efficient. The Miss Lou coffee bar is a lovely evening spot with excellent coffee and dessert offerings and staff - popularity suggests adding another machine to deal with the demand as guests discover it. Too bad the felt topped-tables were not reserved for card and dice players. Other resorts we have used serve coffee in select pool bars in the early morning although this is partially offset by excellent coffee packets offered in our junior suites (although artificial creamers are not great). We were disappointed that the craft 'market' was available only on Friday nights - the night we arrived after a long day of travel. Jamaica Tour excursion staff was helpful - esp when we got ill due to mold in the air ducts/filter in our room. Caroline of Air Transat staff was helpful getting us another room; ditto Kerry at reception. So ... I would offer a qualified recommendation to friends: this is a lovely resort but don't go if you are asthmatic and if you go, be prepared to immediately request a change of room or equipment if it is not up to your expectations - better CAN can be had but you need to make yourself clearly 'heard' by service staff assigned to your room or to client services at reception. This could be more but the resort is more like a 3.5-star right now.

Amazing resort!!!

It was a great place and staff was awesome, especially Sunny(David Talbot)!! Entertainment was excellent, food was good and there was some walking but it was welcomed after all the food we ate and drank!!

Lovely holiday

While transfers and facilities were wonderful, along with excellent staff, there were a few less than stellar aspects. A great variety of food in the buffets, but food was never hot! Very little true Jamaican food to try either, even on Jamaica Day. A la carte restaurants were so, so with the steak and Italian being the best of those we tried. TourGuide Nicola was the best! Biggest disappointment was the entertainment. Sound was so loud couldn't stay even with ear plugs! Dancers were good but a nice band or a dance evening or some other variety would be welcome.

Large resort, too big for my liking.

my main concern was our room smelled musty, somewhat dated, torn window coverings, resort in whole was very impressive, beach very nice, service was good, area in whole seemed safe, few families with children.

Beautiful resort

Resort was clean, lots to do. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. Beautiful beaches. Loved the adult only beach. Disappointed the adult only pool area wasn't bigger. Excursions offered were priced fairly.

Truly the best resort I have ever stayed at.

I would like to thank Trip Central for once again making our experience the most amazing. To start off, the staff were simply the kindest. Booking our room, we purchased the upgrade only to be completely thrilled to be advised that yet again we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite as well as my parents who traveled with us. They were also very excited as this is probably the last trip like this they will take due to failing health. Another balcony from the living room with two chairs and a small table. The room also included two flat screen tv's. I know that's not what you are supposed to be doing on vacations like this but there has to be a little down time. lol The beaches were beautiful, especially the Sunset Beach. My only complaints about the main beach were that there was not enough beach area and was built up with sand and made it very uncomfortable in the lounge chairs as they were on an angle. You could move them towards the water if you are the kind of person like I am and love laying in the sun. However, my husband and parents like the shade. No complaints about the food either. The best I have had at a resort. Plenty of choice both in the buffet and also at the A la Carts. We even had a t-bone steak at the steak house, unbelievable is all I have to say. I have recommended this resort to all of my friends and hope in the future we return to Grand Playdium Lady Hamilton. Thanks again trip central for making this a most memorable experience. Amazing resort!

This resort is huge! Lots of different areas to be, if you want a change of scenery without leaving the resort. 3 beaches and multiple pools! Food is amazing! All a la cartes were delicious and buffets were good as well. People in Jamaica are so laid back and fun! Will definately be returning! Thanks for such a great experience!

Amazing trip

Thanks tripcentral for this wonderful trip. Amazing hotel, I'd definetly recommend it. Hotel is isolated from the village, and taxi to Montego Bay costs 100$ us, everything is expensive in the hotel (a pack of Marlboro is 20$ canadian) and a bag of chips (medium size) around 10$.

Just average

Most important get the imperial club. you do not get reservations without it and the restaurants are good. Buffet was very poor. Food was often cold. The beaches are great if you snorkel but they are small.Check in was very fast and the honeymoon bungalows are beautiful. Staff was very good.

Amazing resort

My husband and I just got back from an amazing week at the GP Lady Hamilton. We were hard pressed to find fault. The staff are are so friendly and want to make your stay as great as possible. If you needed anything, you just had to ask. The food was plentiful and tasty. We liked the steakhouse the best, but did try the Italian, the buffets and the Sports Bar. They are very generious when poring drinks. We did the Catamaran cruise, with snorkeling and a trip to Ricks Cafe. This was a highlight of [... read more] our trip and we would recommend it for sure. Seeing the dolphins was a bonus. We thought that Jamaica was a beautiful island and will definitely visit again in a few years.

Amazing resort!!!

The resort was fantastic, people were very friendly , amazing pools and beaches, shows were very nice. The whole place was beautiful and i would go back again . It was a huge place the biggest resort in montego bay

Awesome Resort!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton has really impressed me. The service, people and price well surpassed my expectations. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone I know. Amazing resort and people!

Beautiful and spacious

Resort and rooms are beautiful, clean and very well kept. Enough space around the pools and on the beach. Always enough chairs and towels. Matrass could have been a little softer. Food is very well prepared and lots of variety. Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't like the line-ups outside the theme restaurants and buffets. Waiting time were too long and people got frustrated from waiting to be seated, while there were empty tables inside. It seems like there were not enough staff on hand to  [... read more]handle the dining rooms or kitchens. Once inside, though, the service and food were amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very knowledgeable when it comes to food allergies and they try hard to accommodate all dietary requirements. I would definitely recommend this resort and I would go back, hoping they have the restaurant situation all sorted out!

Nothing to write home about

First off on the bus trip to the hotel which is only about 40 minutes the bus driver stopped off about 15 minutes from the resort so we could have a drink and told us that it was a lot cheaper than the ones we got at the airport. (ya right) it was the same price $6.00 american for a drink. why would he stop that close when we could have been at the resort drinking for free?(just asking) We get to the resort and get to the front of the line to be told because we are imperial we get special check  [... read more]in to go to the other side of the lobby to stand in line. When we got our bracelet and envelope you might have thought that was it but NO we had to go again and stand in the LONG line up where we were the first time to get our key. Paying the extra money for imperial means nothing as we were to get a view but got on the 1st floor and faced another building whereas people we talked to that did not pay the extra got oceanview and third floor. Got to our room and key did not work, fridge was warm , safe would not work, and patio door would not lock (remember ground floor and was there with my sister). The maintenence crew did come and fix everthing and were very nice. We landed at 12:30 and by that time it was after 6:00 . A bottle of rum and fruit plate were to be in the room along with slippers and robe. Rum (small bottle) and fruit plate arrived after been informed on the 3rd day . On the 4th day we got a room on the 3rd floor with a view. On the 4th day we got our slippers and on the 5th day we got our robe. We wanted to get away after the busy Christmas we had and took to the beach and pool areas to read a good book only to have loud music playing the same CD over and over again, needless to say I kept reading the same pages over and over again. To round things up it was the worst check in ever and I travel a good deal but all was not a total loss as the people are friendly and the food was good. Only one bar quit a ways from our room had the premium liquor , so they should have all the bars with it in NOT just the one.

Second time at this resort and it has deteriorated

Beach is not the best, the grounds are well maintained....Lobby Restroom was the cleanest. The others on the resort need to be taken care of more often. Food was OK. Our Suite was great, the separate bedroom/living room was a nice feature. Always had to ask for bottled water.

Lot's of different little spots on the resort

Overall it was a nice resort and nice little spots around the site. Service was not the best for the price you pay. Maybe because it was full capacity (NEW YEAR WEEK) Fyi if you bring your own wine and ask for nice big glasses, they will give you a hard time.We we're not impressed for this matter. Even thow it was at 100% capacity, we didn't feel like we we're stepping on each other sine it's a massive resort. Room were clean.If you want a sick view on the coral beach tey the get room 2921.
