TIME SHARE SCAM - STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
This hotel is geared to sell you time shares. Period. The food sucks. Period. I compare the quality of food to The princess and the River Maya hotels in the same part of Mexico. Got suckered into putting 25% deposit on time share. Upon getting home and trying to book a vacation it is more expensive to book thru time share then an on line travel agent. The whole hotel is based off of color of wrist bands when you check in. If you are not the highest member they try to suck you into time share. It [... read more]
You get what you pay for
If you are looking for a cheap holiday and want to lose weight this is the place for you. I would say this resort is 3 star at best. The food is horrible, I cant say anything about the A La Cartes because we didn't go. They are not air conditioned (or if they were they didn't use it) and for men to wear long pants in 100 degree weather with 90% humidity is not acceptable. The resort is very large and spread out and if you are not into walking don't go. You cannot rely on the shuttle service beca [... read more]
Alright.
Grounds were beautiful Spa was beautiful Food was okay Staff was mixed - some we're amazing and others were terrible. 50/50 shot Beach was beautiful Pools were decent - very busy and loud, the quiet pool had no seating Rooms were okay - smelt musty, but Super clean Entertainment was always fun!
Snorkel swim eat drink sleep
not much else to say , great surroundings ,food was good to great, the spa area , after the first trip there we went back 2 more times it,s a great place to be to get out of the sun from 11 to 2 or so,,simply marvalous
Great week!
Very beautiful, clean hotel. Food was decent, good variety. We went mid July, and the weather was hot, but sunny and perfect the entire week! We really have no complaints about this hotel, other than it was almost too big.
The most is a 4 stars
I'd booked with tripcentral with high floor & king bad, but when arrived, non of them happened. Next day, they moved us to the room that we'd requested, but nightmare started. it's nice to have Jacuzzi in every room , but if not well maintained, it means trouble, we'd found water on the floor in the second night of the new room, called house keeping & they came & fixed it, next night after used the Jacuzzi, same thing happened but worse, they came again & fixed, worsts happened at the second las [... read more]
GREAT TIME
I first went to the Grand Sirenis in October 2012 for 12 days and had a wonderful time with the beach's, hotel, restaurants and the staff. I had such a good time I went back in April 2014 with my family and their kids (13 people, 6 kids and 7 adults), everyone had a ball and I would love to return in the near future.
The place to be.
Modern style architecture resort. Beautifull beach with an island with a resemblence of the Mayan ruins on it. An excellent place to snorkel right on the beach, you can see a variety of fish, reef and even turtles. Choice of different pools including the one immersed in the tropical forest. Very relaxing, long lazy river that we were using a couple of times per day. The resort is huge, requires some walking to the restaurants which worked for us (shuttle provided). Many restaurants a la carte. V [... read more]
Just Ok!!!
The spa was the best part of the resort. The grounds of the resort were nice but the beds were awful and there was no privacy in the bathroom. There was a big window inbetween the room and the bathroom and only a glass door to the toilet. There was jacuzzi tubs but they took over an hour to fill up. The entertainment was not very good so other than outside excursions there was not much to do. We were harassed the entire time by the staff to go on the tour to the premium side of the resort which [... read more]
Fabulous Resort
This hotel was fabulous. This was our first time in Mexico and we would definitely go back. Pool was great always lots of activities going on, the lazy river was relaxing and the beach was beautiful. The waitress on the beach was very efficient even though it was very hot, she always delivered with a smile. My sister-in-law swam with the dolphins and we got to watch it was fascinating. Food was great, our week was wonderful.
Good Service
the service staff was amazing! Weather was poor but that is obviously not the resorts fault. They did provide umbrellas. I can't say enough about all the staff. So helpful and genuine. They wanted my stay to be memorable.
A perfect experience !
Everything about this resort is perfect. We have travelled quite a bit and it was by far our best vacation. The rooms are spacious, spotless and modern, the food is EXCELLENT, the restaurants à la carte (we tried the brazilian, mexican, italian and the grill) and the buffet as well. I am a picky person and lactose intolerant but still had a lot of variety to choose from and liked everything I tried. We received great service throughout our stay (concierge, restaurant staff, beach waiters, enter [... read more]
Great view , Great staff , Great place .......
The trip went off without a hitch and I can Thank the gang at Trip central for that .. It was first class al the way .( Thanks to Kaylee Knight for that ) The hotel was Grand alright . This is a large resort with plenty of things to see. From the coffee shop to the games room and pool after pool WOW . With open access to both resorts on site you could have any pool exsperice you wanted from quiet and tranquial to wild and crazy it was there for you to choose. The resutrants were excellent!!! Good Family Resort
The grounds were well maintained and the rooms were fantastic - very large. Our family of 4 had plenty of room. Food could have been better - lack of variety and the food was very bland. The best a-la carte was the Japanese Steakhouse. The entertainment was horrible - we always look forward to an evening drink and catch the show at other resorts, but we did not spend more than 5 minutes before we determined it was time to leave. Other than the main show there is not much else to do. The Gym was [... read more]
Excellent resort
Great food, great services, great people. Scuba dive shop on site. Big standart rooms with concierge in all blocks. Beach somewhat small. Buts lots of pools including a "running river" that kids had lots of fun with. NOt far from some mayan arcgeological sites. Only cons : Still haven't figure out why gym is about half a kilometer from nearest . room. Overall 4.5 out of 5
Fantastic
everything was up to snuff great people service could use better music at pools seems like you are catering to the 18 year olds and not the people who spend money but that is minor compared to the overall picture more nightlife and kids activities
Very interesting beach
Large hotel but service is very good. Room are clean, comfortable. Beach very good for snorkeling with beautiful rock formations.Plenty of chairs and shade on the beach. Very nice lazy river and shake bar. Good food variety, never had to wait for a table.
Nice resort
Hotel grounds and most of the staff were exceptional, willing to put the extra effort in to accommodate your requests. However Thre was an issue during check in and the supervisor refused to assist. He stated "your problem is not our problem.... You should consider staying somewhere else". This was not over a trivial thing but, adjoining rooms for out kids. They put them one floor down and in the next building.
