Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great clean and location hotel. Staff is wonderful...

Every thing is great. Two things need to be solved: 1-Smoking free every where in resort, including at the beach. 2-The exhaust of washrooms spread the bad smell to the walking paths. It should direct to some where else.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Beautiful Resort, Amazing Food!

The Las Brisas is a stunning building in a beautiful location. The grounds are immaculate with the feeling of being in the jungle. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the Air Canada Vacations representative who met us at the airport and was available every day in the hotel. The food has to be the best food we have experienced in our many visits to Mexico. The beach is private so there are no vendors. It's a large resort built on the side of a hill so there is lots of walking requ [... read more]ired. Fortunately the elevators were reliable so we could avoid the stairs. Anyone with mobility problems will find the location challenging as the ramps beside the stairs are quite steep. The only criticism would be that the building is starting to show it's age. Minor maintenance issues in our room, such as a loose towel rod and a loose bathroom door knob.

Hotel Emporio Ixtapa: Good choice.

Found the Hotel and Pool areas to be clean and maintained maintained. The Staff pleasantly provided good service. **********************************************************************************************************************************

Park Royal Ixtapa: Should have been told!

We recently had a two week vacation at the Park Royal in Ixtapa. We have stayed there twice before and have very much enjoyed ourselves. Staff is amazing, it is clean, food is very, very good and the facility is constantly being upgraded and improved. However, we should have been informed by our Trip Central travel agent, who has 30 plus years experience and should know the ins and outs, that the Park Royal was hosting the SOB (south of the border) volleyball tournament the second week beca [... read more]use we would NOT have booked. The resort is smallish with 238 rooms and imagine our shock when 250 loud, invasive volleyball players took over the beach (with 35 nets down the whole length of the beach), the pool, the lounge, the restaurants and everywhere. They were like locust. They failed to realize that all of us had paid to enjoy our vacation....not just them. I checked the Park Royal home page and there was nothing advertised to at least give us the choice if we wanted to book that week. And since this has been a tournament hosted for the past 18 years, our travel agent should have known that and informed us. We loved the first week at the Park Royal but were disappointed in our second week and very disappointed in Trip Central's lack of professionalism.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Bad Hospitality

Luckily this place has location going for it otherwise it would have been the worst resort I have ever visited. Apparently here “all inclusive” means “somewhat inclusive” as many menu items and drinks were not included in the plan, in addition to rationing room amenities like coffee, water and mini beers. Only one serving per day per room, despite double occupancy. The absolute worst part though was after our check out at 11am our bands were confiscated even though our bus wasn’t arri [... read more]ving until 5pm so we were forced to either not eat or drink, leave the property (in a cab that charges more and gives back to the hotel) or pay outrageous prices for substandard product at the hotel. When we tried to contest we were treated like delinquents and brushed off. Two words sum up the experience perfectly: Bad Hospitality. In an extremely competitive market one would think the last impression the resort would want to make was accommodating.

Krystal Ixtapa: Not our usual all around perfect all inclusive!

*Arrived to find our room we had booked was not available...got a two bed, air conditioner leaking NOT 100% clean room.Was quite the effort and run around to get our proper ocean view , king size bed room with a working phone and an air conditioner. This took till 3 pm the next day. We were not happy to have had to hang around hotel all day to deal with this.The second room was lovely and clean. Looloo our cleaner was fantastic and room was good for rest of week...but never did get a fridge that [... read more] worked. Had to keep some meds on ice all week. *The buffet was always neat and tidy but we have stayed in mexico many times and this was the worst, unlabeled and stewed uneatable food we have ever experienced. salad bar was minimal and most fruit canned. Also the aggressive birds need to go or more cages put up around eating area. Our friends were crapped on twice. Plus my toast stolen right off my plate one morning. GROSS! *BOGARTS was okay for food....Experience was fun and Rey our server was fantastic. *ITALIAN restaurant was our favorite. Maria de luz made dining there wonderful and the food and service was superb. *Overall the staff were very friendly and kind. We never knew what activities were going on though. Bathrooms were spotless most of the time. *Biggest pet peeve was that people held lounge chairs all day with their towels, (by pool and beach) we sat on edge one day near pool overlooking ocean....was almost 6 hours before a group of 10 came to pool area. meanwhile no one there had anywhere to sit. Very strange this was allowed. *Overall we loved Playa Linda, Zhuatanao, Achole, Las Gatas, Ixtapa Island the buses, walking, and the ocean. *THERE definitely needs to be a clean up garbage program started and the amount of broken glass on the beaches we were shocked by. We have never seen that bad a problem in all the last 20 years of travel to our favorite country.

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Mexican sun and sand

We just spent a wonderful week at the Holiday Inn Resor Ixtapa.The staff was very accommodating; they quickly changed our rooms as we were uncomfortable on the ground floor and did everything possible to make us feel safe and happy. Our room was clean, the beds were super comfortable, the bathroom had a wonderful shower. There was free wi-fi which makes keeping in touch with family super easy. The beach was beautiful, safe to walk from one end to the other. Food in the buffet restaurants was del [... read more]icious, varied and well-presented. Hot foods were at the correct temperature and servers were happy to explain what things were. In fact, although we usually try for the a la carte restaurants as much as possible, here we were happy at the buffets. Drinks were delicious and frosty. Hugo led a good aqua gym class. We did, however, feel that the aqua gym class and the pool bar should not be located in the children's play area. All in all, a lovely resort.

Barcelo Ixtapa: A few things you might want to know!

Excellent location close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are kept clean and tidy, but are very dated. Buffets are excellent, but we didn't find the al la carte restaurants anything special. Staff lovely!

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Picture Perfect Resort!

Service and cleanliness were off the charts. Food was always delicious, a la carte restaurants were above average. Sunset views were gorgeous from every room. The included activities were exceptional-more than we have ever experienced before at other resorts in Mexico.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Gorgeous

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've been too. Excellent food and very friendly staff. I will definitely go back. Awesome pools. Al a carte was divine. Catering made us feel like royalty. Access to the bus to go into town was easy. Room service was top notch

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Relaxing holiday in the sun

Very clean , well maintained and well laid out resort for it's age. Much work is needed to upgrade this hotel to compete with the newer modern hotels nearby.The location and layout of this hotel is perfect.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Paradise!!!!

This was a great trip.all the way around.air Canada rep meeting us was very cool walked us right to the check-in when we returned. The hotel was fabulous..clean and user-friendly. Staff was the best..friendly always asking if you need something. The pool was nice and real close to the beach. Food was outstanding. Only drawback was there's staff working with others agencies selling timeshares. So they kind of hound you..FYI.this is a family resort..lots of kids.was good for us a we have a 10  [... read more]yr old.. we went Nov 4/11. Black flag last 3 days as the waves were.11ft..high besides the timeshare sellers this was a fantastic vacation looking forward to our next stay..deluxe ocean view was our room..view was breath talking...

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Amazing Hotel

We are returning next year as we totally enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is on a beautiful beach, in a perfect location to shops and off resort activities also. The accommodations were great! The restaurants were great. No line ups for our stay, in February 2017.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: The Hidden Gem

Azul Ixtapa was an great experience! pros: a) the staff was helpful and ready to make the trip enjoyable b) a lot of activities around the resort for kids and adults c) a short bus/ cab ride from the city 5-10 minutes depending on traffic d) beach bars close by e) the ferry to people over the Island is a short walk. (on the island their is shopping, beach bars, fishing, and snorkeling)..avoid the ferry on weekends the lines tend to get long if your not their early. f) the maids came to  [... read more]the room and made sure things were clean a couple times a day and would routinely switch out towels in the morning and evenings as well as the beds g) the ocean was calm because it is located in a bay so safe for swimming h) the pools were nice and big i) has very scenic views and a lot of places to take a good family picture j) awesome sun sets k) its safe and would be a good family resort l) the shopping is cheaper if your into buying touristy things or beach goods then the larger centers like Puerto Vallarta, Cancun m) if your into the nite life their are few bars down town that are good to visit (Shakers/Senor Frogs) n) the best restaurant is in the shopping center called Franks....He makes the best food and all from scratch and you can even catch your favorite sporting event their too (hint order the fresh made pizza from his pizza oven or the amazing bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp!) Cons: a) the food was average nothing spectacular b) beach was basic hard packed down sand c) a lot of walking on stairs d) people will come and block chairs with their towels and not even use them all day

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Yes ! it was amising plesce . I loved everyting that i saw there .

I like the hotel , the pools , the beach , the food , the room , the service was vary vary good and vary friendly people that is way i love to go back there . the only thing that i do not see , was boiling eggs at breakfast. i herd some of the guests was asking , ( sorry that wasn't big dale but i like to writhe it down ) But the rest was amusing , the trip i had in Ixtapa - AZUl Resort , for me looks like i had dream . thanks

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: WOW

From check in to check out was great , the SERVICE, grounds and all the people we met were great . The waters were rough but that didn't bother us was great to see and hear the power of the crashing waves. Like to add the town was nice to visit being right across the street Thanks again

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Great Weather, Activities, Rooms and more

Best infinity pool I have seen, easy check in, NO TIME SHARE sales or upgrade pressure! above average meals and selection. Lots of activities available and included with many great experiences nearby, diving, surfing, snorkeling, and more. Definitely on the list for a return trip in the future.

Barcelo Ixtapa: Not bad!

Grounds are good. Pool is clean. Beach was awesome for being on the pacific side. Not much entertainment around the pool. Pool bar bartenders were great. Ixtapa is a great town. We had no issues going out. We even did dinner out on the town one night. Blue shrimp was a great spot. I would return to Ixtapa but would stay at another resort.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Family resort

The resort is beautiful and very clean not overly big! This resort is very family oriented so lots of children and a ton of things for the kids to do! We did not travel with kids so we looked for the adults only pool and there wasn't one! The ala Cartes were great but the buffets were very small with the same foods every day...you can only book 3 ala Cartes a week! Kayaks and bike tour was fun to do and included!
