Marival Distinct all Suites and World Spa: Incredible rooms, service & food

This was by far the best all inclusive I’ve ever been to. It did not feel like a “typical” all inclusive, as the rooms made it feel like a home away from home, and the food was not like anything I’ve ever had at another resort. We had the best time!

Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta: Extremely Disappointed!

This is not a luxury resort by any means. Rooms are ok and could use updating. Most of the staff was very pleasant. No sun until late afternoon around pool decks which meant pools did not get sun to help warm them as they were freezing cold. Buffet food was always cold and a la cart restaurants were very mediocre at best. The drinks were not very good either. Way too many children at this resort and they were very noisy. We loved Puerto Vallarta but will never return to this resort ever.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Bad first night

First night had a noisy party going to 12:45 AM. We had 4 adults and 4 children in joining rooms. The adults could not sleep after an all day trip to the resort. Tired after travelling with young children. The night manager would NOT quiet the program. The day manager the next day suggested we use ear plugs to cancel out the noise. This mature suggestion is NOT right! Just wondering how one can hear the children at night with adults having ear plugs.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Very nice resort

Entertainment team were great. Good service and food Overall good vacation resort. Food was okay. Shows were different from other resort.. Entertainment team were very freindly and have good programs specially for kids.

Samba Vallarta: Graet time

I like it.Good service,friendly staff,rooms clean but probably need some update,for the size of resort better then expected. Food is good- I can call it home made Mexican. Beach area clean.Really enjoyed barbecue nights.Carlos was great- have a time to talk to all customers

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: My home away from home!

This is not a five-star hotel which is fine with me, I don't require that. Overall the staff and the service are outstanding, rooms are adequate and food could use Improvement. Still a good deal for the price.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Great time, will be back

We look forward to meeting up with repeat guests/friends every year. Beach is awesome, we even got to watch a turtle release our last night. Awesome sunsets. Food is good, especially 3 of the a la carte restaurants. Breakfast and lunch buffet is plentiful, you never go hungry. Sports bar is 24 hours but limited meal menu. All of the bars make tasty drinks, whatever you ask for. Cappuccino bar in the lobby has line ups every morning, but is great all day. Such a nice addition to the hotel. Entertainment is a little late for those of us who get 8 hours of sun per day. Love the walking trail to Bucerias, we go every morning. Overall a great hotel. No one should be complaining.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Another stay at Grand Decameron

Ideal if one has mobility issues. Lots of level walking and ramps. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is kept clean. Food is great and always something to eat. Pretty much serve the same things daily so it gets boring if you stay for longer periods of time. I do miss cream for my coffee. They only offer milk. Never went hungry though.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Great Family Resort

Our family of five (two adults, kids aged 14, 11, 9) enjoyed a week at this property in mid-December. Overall it's a smaller property compared with some other resorts we've been to, but that had many benefits. It was a shorter walk to the beach, pool and restaurants, however being smaller meant fewer dining options. The beach was beautiful and had plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rooms were in older buildings but were kept very clean and had great layouts. Ours was a 2 bedroom suite which had plenty of room for our larger family to spread out.

Canto Del Sol: Very disappointing

Location is good, the view from the buffet restaurant was beautiful, but other than that, everything was disappointing. The room in the villa section was very dated, faucet was rusty, bathtub was peeling off. The first room we got was noisy all night from the huge fan on the front building. The room we moved was even older, blocked by parking building, but was quieter at least. After moving, I found out that I left my clothes in the room. I checked the room with the staff, but the room wa [... read more]s already cleaned and it was gone. I reported to the reception again next morning as he instructed. After waiting a while, what the staff told me was just they found nothing. They did not explain anything whether they found and asked to the maid who cleaned the room. They were not really care about their guest and also the procedure for dealing with this issue was not sincere at all. Food in the buffet restaurant was basic, but staff was friendly. Asian restaurant was the worst food I ever had. Appetizer was not properly cooked so there were raw flour in the fries, 'shrimp salad' was not shrimp but tough imitate crab. As soon as we tasted Pad Thai for main we had to get out. Cevicheria and the seafood restaurant was pretty good, though. It was our 4th all inclusive trip to Mexico and 1st time that we are not satisfied.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Good resort

An outside grill for lunch would be needed so you don’t need to change cloths if you are poolside Very friendly atmosphere Whale watching and snorkelling were great and awesome dive Center staff were more than helpful

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Pickleball crazy

Decameron Los cocos is 1.5-2 hrs north of puerto Vallarta airport. A very good free tour of country side and towns along the way. Hotel is submerged in Guayabitos on west side. Meals are very good clean rooms and just the rooster calling at 0530 to tell us it is time to go pickleball. We pack a coffee thermos , a covered drinking cup and a large water bottle , get filled at bars or restaurants. No garbage from us made. There is no sunrise or set at the cocos hotel. The best is the stay and play at three sister hotels. Alacarts varied throughout the week. The use of washrooms bars and restaurants at all three a very big bonus. Our day started at 0430 , dressed and coffee on board with a breakfast grabbed from buffet the day before. 40 min walk to east side of Guayabitos where a pickleball club is playing at 0630. Very reasonable rates very welcoming. To the hotel. Build a trough at beach to stop sand from tracking everywhere 16 x 4 in deep x12 feet long save water Move bar in snack bar to east wall , feed beach people at side bar stop sand from tracking everywhere. I saw too many windows open drapes open and air conditioner running very wasteful of power The staff are beautiful hard working and very friendly. Loved our stay.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Nice resort /Questionable management

The resort is decent. A little dated. Food was pretty good with some obvious efforts to provide decent meals. The biggest issue was noise: 4:30 am on our first night we were awakened by the sound of power washing of the pool deck and the dragging of chairs across the deck. Our third night was worse as at 3:45 am we were awakened this time by the sound of some sort of machinery in the hallway. I went out to see a staff member using an industrial floor polisher… banging against the elevator door [... read more]s and walls. I spoke with the front desk and the advised that maintenance had to be done during the evening. There is absolutely no logic or reasoning that could justify there actions. The next day I asked to speak to a manager about the issue and was advised the manager would contact me. Nobody ever contacted us regarding our issues. This is totally unacceptable.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: An OK resort not a 4.5 star

The hotel grounds were lovely, room comfortable, very clean. What brought the rating down in my estimation was the food. Very little variety and not great quality. The restaurants were a disappointment. We have been to Mexico several times and this was by far the most disappointing when it came to food.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Great Resort

This resort was great in many ways. However, paying extra for the enclave package is definitely not worth it. If you're familiar with other Experience packages like live from milia.Resorts, this doesn't there's no comparison.It's the enclave is definitely not worth the investment.Otherwise, this resort was fantastic.The views were amazing and the people were very friendly

Las Palmas by the Sea: Amazing Time

My wife and I stayed here from December 6 to December 13 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The resort was clean and everyone was great. We had a king room with ocean view and it was kept clean and we did not have any issues. It's not a fancy resort but the food and drinks were excellent. We would definitely return.

This was my 10th year at this resort. Obviously I love it. Staff is courteous & very helpful.Food is plentiful & variety for all tastes. Grounds are well maintained. Shows for everyone. Only complaint is not getting a negotiated room. I have knee issues & always get the 4th floor but I managed.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Disappointing after 6 previous visits!

The staff was very friendly, and the resort itself is beautiful. But the Mexican charm of brightly coloured buildings is missing. Unfortunately, there were far too many iguanas around the pool area. On one occasion, an iguana got into the pool, left droppings, and the pool had to be closed for 2½ hours. Iguanas were also in the surrounding trees, and our lounge chairs were soiled three separate times. More shade is definitely needed as well. Another issue was the lack of available loungers.  [... read more]Many times, there were none available anywhere on the property, even when towels had clearly been removed. The new lounge chairs at many of the pools were wonderful, but more are needed so one doesn't need to an air mattresses for comfort. The food was disappointing. Pizza, fries, soup, and other items were often cold or barely warm. Cooked vegetables, potatoes, whole salmon, and bacon were undercooked. Additionally, there needs to be more variety in protein options. We had requested a room on a lower floor, due to my elderly mother walking with a cane. When we arrived the room allocated was on a third floor. It took quite some time to find another available. We were given the top floor in Block 3 which had an elevator. The following morning, the elevator did not work. It was fixed late afternoon. Our room had no cold water the first 3 days. The shower water would get extremely hot quickly so one had to be careful not to get scalded. On day 3 this got fixed. Then the following day we had no hot water. Day 5 onward everything worked! The nightly shows didn't start until 9:30. It would be wonderful to have them earlier because there is no chance of an early evening in with the volume of the show - even with earplugs. (Not in Block 3.) On a positive note, transportation to and from the resort with Nexus was quick! Unfortunately, the food was such a major issue that I will no longer be recommending this resort.
