Sonesta Maho Beach: Will be a great place

Hotel isn't completely done yet. Part of 7th floor and all above floors were being worked on 4-11 Apr. Workers go until 9pm so be prepared for noise until then. Staff for the most part were really good. Food was above average and will probably get better.

Sonesta Maho Beach: 5 Star Resort!!!

We have stayed at the Sonesta Maho before in 2014, we heard about the devastation that happened recently by the hurricane and how the resort is reopening fully renovated and what an amazing job they have done! the rooms are super hi-end and modern more like a 6 star!, yes work is still been done on the resort but you barley hear it, the staff is amazing trying to please everybody threw this process. WE will be back next year! ..2 thumbs up for the staff and management!

Sonesta Maho Beach: Terrible experience

This hotel was not completed when we arrived. From the food to the rooms they were extremely disappointing. The hotel was not safe for guests and they often didn't have enough food for everyone I am do disappointed that Sunwing would ever have approved this hotel and I'm very confused by this decision.

Sonesta Maho Beach: will be great...but need improvement

I loved the area but hotel itself wasn't ready to open. The room, the ground, the beach were beautiful, but the food was very limited and cold and they were still building the hotel so half finished it was disappointing but im sure it will very nice in few months once they are done building it.

Divi Little Bay Beach Resort: Divi-ne!!!

Best beach in all of #sxm! Great food, and friendly staff. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat. 🍤🍤🍤. Would like to see a bit quicker service at times during busy times, but they are always willing to try harder next meal. If you go anywhere in st. maarten, you must consider this place first! 🥂

The hotel itself is old and has the musty smell. When we got there they gave us the wrong room as it only had one bed than they changed us to another one which they told me it had 2 double beds but it didn't it had a king and a cot. For what I paid I was very disappointed. The hotel was under construction which I knew nothing of so that started early in the morning. The Italian restau [... read more]rant and the Lava Rock had great food would recommend people to go there. The buffet was like any other resort and it was fine. The nightly entertainment was nothing to brag about, the only good night was the young group of drummers and the dancers. The one good thing is our room was large and clean which is the one thing I want when I go away. Only two bars and you had to come up from the beach to get a drink there was no beach bar which surprised me. Personally I would not go back to the resort even when the renovations are done as the planes flying over were a pain and plus you can smell the fuel every time they came. The weather was amazing and I did enjoy my trip just wished I picked a different resort.

Palace St. Martin: Fantastic Resort!

Grounds were beautiful. Food was fantastic and service was great! We had no issues reserving a car to help us tour surrounding beaches and shopping areas. The only negative aspect about the hotel is the nightly entertainment.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Great Stay!

This hotel is awesome! Happy and helpful staff! Food was great and beach is beautiful! One week was not enough. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. Make sure you reserve an ocean front view on the higher floors, you won't regret the extra money!

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Wonderful Resort

Classic Resort although upgrades have been made such as infinity pool. Food at buffet was very good... better than in their restaurants. Beach was excellent..very clean. Little bit of a dip going into water but not a big deal. Fantastic view in the bay! Very scenic! Staff was wonderful. Only down side was that we are and drank too much as it is an all inclusive and food and drinks were very good!

Palace St. Martin: A mixed review of this resort.

We had a mixed review of this resort. Pros: Beautiful scenery and beach. The gardens and grounds are lovely and well maintained. There is a good variety of food at the buffet restaurant. Many of the staff are helpful and friendly. The large infinity pool was quite nice, with a view of the ocean. Rooms were cleaned and restocked in a timely manner. A calm and peaceful atmosphere. Check-in process was very slow. The beach restaurant (L'Ile) had a real problem with flies. It was hard to find an appetite with flies surrounding the food. We wish that the hotel had more activities available (not much to do unless you were swimming or laying on the beach). There should be more than one pool and a swim-up bar would be a nice added feature. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation, but we feel that this resort has a little work to do to meet the high standards of a Riu Palace resort. We have stayed at other Riu resorts that had more amenities to offer.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Great Resort

Lovely hotel with newly renovated rooms, and close to airport. Great to watch planes coming in over the beach. The entire resort staff is super-friendly and very helpful. Might suggest putting "Reserved" signs on restaurant tables once seated to ensure that no one else steals your table.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Awesome

We really enjoyed the Resort it was well kept for its age and buffet and both restaraunts were outstanding..really loved the lava rock dinner.Your wait staff were very friendly and tentative to our needs.Rafini,Johnathan,Marie,Delores and all your Beach waiters especially Nicole took care of our every need while tanning and swimming or just relaxing. Thanks so much as we celebrated two birthdays on our vacation it was wonderful.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Feel robbed-Cheated, was hungry all the time-staff are rude

I have never made a review for any of the vacations I have been to, but this one is absolutely necessary! THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! the service is BAD, the staff are RUDE, the food and drink are VERY LIMITED!. we feel they stole our money, we had to go and eat outside the resort most of the time.

Sonesta Maho Beach: great resort

Very nice place just 2 mins away from the airport. Great service. It's really friendly island. With 2 dollars per person you can get on the bus in front of the bus to go anywhere. Me and my family loved this place.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Wonderful Resort

Just spent a week at the Sonesta Great Bay. Had a fantastic time. While the rooms are older & can use updating the staff make up for it. Nicole, the beach hostess is a warm loving lady, always smiling & taking with the guests. Just loved her. Johnathan in the restraunt was a charming young man, always smiling. Looking forward to a return vacation.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Big Mess

Booked this resort for our second trip and upgraded to the premium ocean view room. We arrived to the hotel at 2:30 and our room wasn't ready they gave up our cards and wrist bands and said we should go to the front desk at 3pm. At 3pm we went to the front desk.... we waited in a long line of people for 50 mins! 50! Check in was EXTREMELY disorganized didn't make sense considering all we needed was to get our room number. Finally get to the front and find out we were booked in for the partial po [... read more]ol/ocean view room. We paid $250 way before our trip to upgrade our room to premier ocean view. The hotel of course did not have any of those rooms available. We were told we'd have to stay in the partial room for the first night and come see the manager the next day. Go to the desk at 11am the next day told to come back at 2pm as the manager was busy. Come back at 2pm still no manager. Finally talk to the front desk supervisor who was fantastic and set up a transfer to mahos sister hotel: The Ocean Point right next store. An adults only resort with 5 stars. Now this resort was FABULOUS! The staff are much nicer and we were treated like royalty the entire time! It was lucky they had a room available for us or our trip may not have turned out so great. Not sure who's fault this "mix up" was with the room we booked.. trip centrals or the hotels but I am extremely hesitant to book through trip central or at the maho again!

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Great Bay - Sint Maarten

Room decor and furnishings were a bit dated but all very functional. Everything else was absolutely amazing! The servers were attentive and the food was great with just the right amount of variety and change.

Palace St. Martin: Amazing!

This hotel was perfect! Great food, amazing beach and great service, perfect! It was the perfect place to take a young family. The beach was perfect for playing in the waves and sand. The variety and quality of food was perfect!

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Worth your money

At Sonesta Great Bay May 7- May 14. The obvious - its an older building without the fancy decor. Staff are great - friendly and helpful. Food was good, buffet is smaller than expected, however, food was freshly prepared. Spa experience was excellent. Spa staff were professional, well prepared and on time. Location is best part - nice beach but deeper waters. Great if you love waves and to swim. Easy walking distance to Front Street and the shopping/restaurants. Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Great Resort

The food was excellent, we did have some trouble making reservations for the restaurants as neither of us had cell phones with us and this was where the confirmation was sent. Enjoyed the beach and the pools. Grounds were kept very clean and tidy. Staff excellent.
