Absolutely fabulous!

We loved the luxurious clean grounds and rooms with jacuzzi, the staff was super friendly and eager to please. The beds could have been more comfortable however the over all experience was wonderful. We plan on returning in 2 years or so.

Great vacation

Esmeralda is great resort! We really like to stay there! Great food, amazing service. Very nice beach! Great food! This hotel very recommended! We really enjoyed our time. Thanks to everyone who made this great vacation!

Resort is beautiful

All the staff were very friendly, and helpful. The food was good , only problem was to get into the lei cart restaurant. A lot of them were always booked . The beach was amazing. Our transit representatives were always very helpful. The only real disappointment was with the nightly intertainment, the set up was terrible. You couldn’t see anything, it was either by the pool or in the lobby. The shows were not anywhere as nice as I have seen in the past elsewhere. Beautiful Resort.

We had a great stay there the grounds are magnificent,the staff are first class,the food was average at the buffets but excellent at the a la carte restaurants. When booking we asked if we could have a first floor room and also mentioned that this trip was for our 49 th Anniversary,understanding of course that these requests are not guaranteed,when we got there we were given a 3rd floor room and although every second room on our floor had Happy Anniversary or Happy birthday banners [... read more] on their door we had nothing just a little bit disappointing. However we would not hesitate to return to this resort we were overall very pleased.

Great Vacation

Very nice hotel! The beach, food, and rooms were good and the staff made the trip even better. Jensy, Bryan, Ramon, and Julio are just some of the amazing staff that made my stay great! I will return!

Everything and more!

Hotel was great...The grounds are eye candy. As well as the other Bahia resorts we visited at night. Food,beach,staff and our private butler. (What can I say.) Very Nice.. I especially liked the ocean. It may have been too rough for some but for us it was perfect for body surfing. This was our 4th stay with the Grand Luxury Bahia Principe Company. We had a blast!

Amazing resort!

Perfect location, right on the beach. Easy access to adjoining resorts. Very kids friendly. Play area for every age group of kids. Amazing staff, very welcoming. Room was neat and clean. Food is great!

Great service

Great hotel.. great service..thank you for a wonderful week away .. the location was perfect and the view from our room was beautiful. I would recommend this hotel. The staff really goes out of the way to provide you with great service.

Excellent Stay

The resort was clean and well kept. The food was great with a lot of options at the buffet. A la Cartes were great as well! Nicole our wedding planner was amazing and Ramon treated us well when booking our excursion.

Great Resort

It's was a great vacation. We enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. It is a very large resort and we probably only saw 1/4. It was very clean, immaculate actually, staff was friendly, food was great lot of choice of restaurants. Never hassled by vendors. The only down side was the beach and the massive amounts of seaweed. We will definetly consider this hotel the next time we go to Punta Cana. Favorite drink for the week Mojitos awesome. Thanks for a great week!

Nice resort

3rd stay at the Bahia, first time at Esmeralda! The resort is beautiful, extremely clean and grounds well maintained. The food is excellent as always. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that Esmeralda was not adults only as if once was and I was not aware of this until after I booked it. The tram system was also a bit difficult from Esmeralda. Anybody with a disability and that cannot walk easily will find it difficult as there is no pick up from the lobby. Amazing Resort

This resort is amazing because of the amazing food! My boyfriend and I have gone many times to Cuba and I would not go back because I enjoyed Dominican. The beach wasn’t the greatest because of the time of year but I like the pools better. Th pool was great because they had a party pool where all the entertainment was and also the quite pool of you wanted to just relax. Paradise Achieved

This was our family’s first, but not last, all-inclusive!! Esmeralda’s grounds were stunning, the flora so lush, colourful and varied. I felt like I was waking up in paradise every morning. The restaurants were just as beautiful with excellent service. The service in the buffets, which were always busier, was adequate but not awful. The pools and beach area continued the paradise vibe. By the end of the week we had the whole butler/ room service thing figured out. For example, sometimes getting a bucket of ice took 5 minutes or over an hour; a face cloth took 5 hours one day. We were lucky to have one in the first place as our friends didn’t even start with one. LOL. Nonetheless, all staff was very eager to please. A ton of fun evening entertainment that was perfect for us over 50. Our kids (ages 17-21) got bored by the disco and casino mid-trip. You can be as busy or relaxed as you want here. Overall, we highly recommend this resort and hope to come back again.

Great property.

The room and washroom are really spacious and very clean.Very picturesque resort and we loved our stay there.The pools are great and the staff are very friendly. The spa is good and the a la carte options are great. Enough beach beds and pool beds. Even after 10am you can still find empty beach beds and they serve food and drinks at the beach. Also buggy service to go to various properties and easy access to various shows and activities.

Large resort

Overall it was a very nice resort. Rooms were clean and very spacious and house keeping was friendly. Food was average, I suggest booking la carte restaurants and you can book as many as you want from my understanding. The Italian was not that great in my option. Beach was close but bar on beach was slow and understaffed. Overall I found the bartenders had very bad customer service. Fantastic resort

This resort is beautiful! The grounds are stunning and impeccable with beautiful pink flowers throughout. The staff are always courteous and polite and even though they are constantly dealing with the public, they never show any sign of frustration. Our room was huge, as I believe all rooms are. The bathroom is one I wish I had at home! Double sinks, large jacuzzi, walk in shower. All very modern. Bed was comfortable. The food was beyond my expectations! The beach is very nice but the entire Caribbean is dealing with the seaweed problem. Some days worse than others but one can still swim in the ocean. But my 6 year old grandson was bothered by it. So we spent most of our time in the pool. This is the smaller resort of the Bahia Principe complex. Great for kids! Loved it!

Bahia Principe Esmeralda

Excellent room, staff and food. Beautiful grounds. Had an enjoyable time. Met all my expectations. The service was amazing. Would like to see an a la carte is restaurant serving Indian food. Increase the choices for vegetarian.

Great resort

The food ,grounds,service was great,the only part was the seeweed on the beach,but that was caused by the hurricanes,overall super.The only thing was the travel service was awful.Giving us different prices when we were 12.They should honored or atleast compensate with something for all the trouble we went through.

Nice place to stay

Proximity to the beach, good food at restaurant and buffet, alcohol drinks for any taste, lots of entertaiment for kids and adults ( pool and theatre), acces to a lots of resto a la carte on site, inside ground transportatin very easy and convinient,

Disappointing Resort

Of all the resorts I've been to, this resort is the worst. Service was absolutely terrible. The butler in our room showed up only 3 of 10 nights. Two nights are room was cleaned, bed not made. Plastic cups and straw were still floating on the pool in the morning.
