Very affordable !

We spent 7 nights in July, which was not busy so perfect ! Once they finally gave us the room (two nights later) we reserved (king bed) things were great. Cuba is not know for its food and it didnt disappoint. The grounds are lovely...well looked after, pool was cleaned daily. The staff, as always, are eager to please. Our third time there: is a good choice in the area

All common amenities in Cuba. A good consistent service. Waiters were great. More Caribbean seafood would be appreciated on the menu. We missed the pianist at the bar area.A private room for watching sports with bar and AC would be great ( some conference rooms or other alike are idled.

Good resort ! It worths the money especially if can book in discount.

The bungalow was nice and quiet. The room clean with 2 double bed , air conditioning. In the fridge every day o bottle of water and 2 beers. I went at end of June, when was not crowded. The food was ok but a lack of variety, almost the same food. The trip with the bus from airport to resort 1h45. All to do is to enjoy the beech, to eat, to relax , to do nothing , to forget completely the job were you have to come back after.

GOOD TIME OF YEAR TO GO HERE,DAYS ARE HOT NIGHTS COOL DOWN WITH SOME NICE THUNDER STORMS.THE 7 OF US INJOYED THE FOOD IT WAS VERY GOOD.ROOMS WERE LARGE AND VERY CLEAN,THE SAFF ALWAYS PLEASENT.ENTERTAINMENT WAS TOPS.WHITE SAND WITH AQUA BLUE WATER.WE HAD A VERY GOOD TIME.

Stunning beach, lovely people but resort too big!

I was not impressed with this resort as for me it was just too large. Good things: my room was very clean and the king size bed very comfy! Beach was stunning with powdered sand, gradual entry and torquoise blue waters! Great for kids! Pool was average but they had a foam party which was fun! Food was ok but repetitive.You won't go hungry. Waiters and waitresses were kind and helpful as was the front desk. I just didn't feel at home and changed to a smaller resort. I changed to Melia Cayo Santa Maria, a much smaller resort which I thoroughly enjoyed! :)

Beautiful place!! Nice resort!

The resort was clean. Friendly, and plenty of staff. Perfect place to just stay on resort and go to the beach. Great for couples or families. I would get married at this place. Will definitely be back!!!!

Nice Resort

We liked the vast grounds of this resort where we could take walks and enjoy the tropical vegetation. We liked to drink our coffee in the courtyard with birds singing in the pergola above. The beach was magnificent with miles of white sand and clear, warm ocean water. The pool was also warm yet refreshing. The food was plain, healthy fare but this resort did not have the ethnic themed food nights that we have enjoyed in other Cuban resorts. The staff was attentive and courteous.

Good resort for price!

The hotel was nice, the food was awesome for Cuba, and the beaches were beautiful. This resort is however very big, but evenly layed out. Need more night time entertainment, but overall great. It was 2 hours from the airport, which really sucked, but the bus was comfortable.

Disappointed

Our trip did not get off to a good start. We were directed to our bus at the airport only to be told to get on another bus because that one was full. After being sent to four different buses and approx a half hour of walking in circles we got a seat however our luggage was on a different bus than the one we were on. We upgraded to Golden however did not feel it was worth it..the golden club supper in the outdoor restaurant is not a good place..biten by mosquitos the whole time. What a great vacation with my daughter

This resort is great for families. The beach is absolutely stunning, miles of white sand and crystal clear water. People are lovely. Our room was the most disappointing part. Most of the things in the room were broken and run down but clean. Food was great. Entertainment was good. I really can`t complain much - definitely worth the money. One thing though make sure you have enough sun screen. I paid $40 for a small bottle!! No other option.

Amazing

It was an amazing vacation I will definitely go again.my children really loved.the beach is beautiful the foods amazing.the shows for the kids are really good.the service you get is great you get treated with respect and the people really friendly

Big Resort

This resort was a big resort. it was very clean, but a little moe run down then we were expecting for a 4.5 star. We were very disappointed in the buffet selections. Every day for lunch and dinner, it was the exact same buffet. At any given time, half of the buffet was closed down, and there were very few selections to choose from. The people were very friendly, but very few of them spoke English, including the one at the main desk.

Beautiful

I loved this resort, great people the beaches are to die for. Our rooms and the resort itself where kept clean at all times and never had any issues. The food at the huts by the beaches and pools were great made good sandwhiches. The night we were leaving they had a cook out that we missed but noticed the food looked really good, BBQ chicken and Vegtables with all the desert you could think of. The breakfast buffet looked uneasy only thing I would eat were the fresh ommlets or eggs and toast. My stomach was very uneasy a cpl times and coming home. Another note is that the resort is verry large, so a lot of walking to and from places. At any point you have somewhere to eat or swim close by which is nice because they have multiple locations to go to. Our down fall is we had a group of 25 so to find them was a hassle because they stayed on the opposite side of the hotel which was a 15 min walk. We spent a lot of our time looking for them. Overall it was a very lovely resort and my complaints are very minimal.

Nice hotel

Beach was gorgeous. Room was clean nothing special. For good food you need to ask for the people at the grills in the buffet to cook you something it like a 10 min wait but you see them cook the food in front of you. Very friendly staff.

Fantastic for live music, best beach, but run down

Summary: I’m a 30 y/o female. I had my own room. I went with some family members. I would go back for the right price, the entertainment and beach was well worth it. Just get over the esthetics of the resort and room and forget about eating - bring more protein bars. Lastly it's all what you make it - I had the best week ever!!! The strip they had was just stunningly beautiful, the sand soft like icing sugar, and the ocean beams brilliant blues and greens. -They had live entertainment, bands and shows, from 5pm-1030 every night. I've never seen a resort with so much going on. It was awesome! -The pools are really nice, nice and big, there are three huge pools locations (2 pools at each location) and one infinity pool. -The resort is big but not too big. It's a nice size. - the fresh omelets at breakfast are good and the only meal i ate each day. I had fruit and cheese for dinner, also good. -Mediterranean restaurant - had the pumpkin soup and the bisque fish - really good. My friend had the special - mahi-mahi and got sick - but it didn't look right. I don't think the staff know how to cook there (food quality standards are non-existent). - I lost 5 pounds - They have a market that joins this resort and another, it has lots of shops and bars, a disco, a gym (free) and a spa. Everything costs except the gym which was nicer than most resorts. The disco was $10 to get in and included 4 free drinks. there was never anyone there, but I went there one night with some people i met and had a blast!! - there are lots of trolly if you dont want to walk Cons: -I heard people had bedbugs in the Azul side, one building was shut down -The resort is a little run down. It's a shame because it's really a beautiful spot and I hope they begin fixing it up. -The staff aren't as friendly as I'm used to, and they don't go the extra mile. I feel they probably aren't treated very well. -Food is not good. Tons of people getting sick constantly. They don't refrigerate anything. The burgers sit out in a steel pan in the hot sun. Food constantly under-cooked. I'm not sure that the staff are trained at all. You will also wait forever for anything. I also saw a lot of staff cooking for other staff which makes me think they don't get fed or not well taken care of. I lived off a jar of peanut butter and a few protein bars that i got. -The snack bar has no snacks. All they have is a grill with either a burger or hot dog, sometimes they will do french fries but not always. The staff grill everyone's order one by one, they don't multiple grill at a time - it's painful. There is never any buffet style items at the snack bars - no fruit or anything, you have to go to the main buffet. -main buffet was constantly out of coffee

Amazing Beach and nice resort.

The hotel room we stayed in was clean and the grounds were beautiful. The food was ok and you could always find something to eat. The people were friendly and always there to help you. The beach was so beautiful and its what sells the resort. I enjoyed my stay.

Never going back!

Resort Grounds: Beautiful Rooms: Stayed in bungalow 41, Oceanview room 4184. The best part of the whole trip. Amazing view of the beach. Quiet! 2 minute walk to the little shopping centre. Have been to the other resorts in cuba and never had an experience like this. It was not a matter of blend food (lack of seasoning) there was just a LACK OF FOOD, PERIOD! There was simply nothing to put the seasoning on. We have never been so hungry on an all inclusive vacation. The resort is huge and they have several places other than the buffet that have food but for whatever reason they were all closed down. So we were basically left with the buffet. There were 3 restaurant opened but you were limited to only 2 reservations per stay. The restaurants were worthless because they served the same darn thing that they had at the buffet. The buffet was awful, no variety at all. On top of it whatever was left over from breakfast was put out again for lunch and dinner. All breads and buns were at least a week old. The sausages and the meats were reheated and refried several times, seafood was amazingly prepared in a way that it didn't even taste like seafood. Yogurt we only got 2 out of 7 days. I could go on for the next hour about the lack of food. Also, the first resort I have EVER been to where you had to wait in line in order to get into a buffet. Twice we saw a huge line going from the buffet towards the main lobby. People waiting to be let in. When 3 people left the buffet, they would let in 3 people and so on. I still can't believe they did that. Oh, and if you are not planing to be in the buffet at the opening times (breakfast 7:30am, Lunch 1:00pm Dinner 6:30) do not even bother going, there is not going to be any food left for you you to eat!

Over all a very clean and beautiful resort

This resort is very clean and the gardens and flowers are beautiful. The pool was clean and there was always a place for everyone. This beach was out of this world with warm water lots of beach area and plenty of seating. I have been to many resorts and I would rate this beach the best. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that tea or coffee are not available with your meal. After eating we had to walk to the main lobby to get our tea or coffee.

Amazing Beach

Rooms were great , view from room Balcony awesome, pathways all throughout the resort, were colourful with the flowers, pathways plentiful , walking shoes a must , roller blades would be handier , but the beach is the gem of the resort, miles long, white sand, beautiful water

AMAZING Beach, Clean Resort & Good Value!

My fiance and I traveled to Memories last month and had a great experience. As long as you are prepared and aware that a 4 star hotel in Cuba is not equal to a 4 star in Canada, you will enjoy yourself. The food is decent, for Cuba, and neither of us got sick or had any issues with the variety. The rooms were very clean, no bugs or surprises.
