Great people
We arrived late on 3/6 and from the 1st day till we left all the people were great. From the front desk to the grounds keepers they were all friendly and happy. Great beach and good food for Cuba . Would definitely recommend and would go back.
Updating Needed
We stayed at memories flamenco from March 6 to March 13, 2020 and the stay was nice, food was OK and beaches were absolutely beautiful. The accommodations need some updating, and we found that there was very few public restrooms that were available, everything was shut down or flooded. At the pool women and men had to use the same restroom as well as kids. And there was not any lighting in the one restroom. Neither of the doors closed as well. The resort seems to be in almost a run down stat [... read more]
Nice Resort
The hotel is nice and the staff very friendly but the the restaurant buffets and ala carte is bad totally unorganized they always out of bread first we booked for two restaurants and both evenings out of shrimp
Best resort in Cayo Coco
What a fabulous resort, All the staff are friendly, not one sand flea bite. Went March 4 for one week. Resort was fully booked, pool was packed, I recommend you get up early and reserve a chair, not with their beach towel (someone could walk away with it, and a 25.00 charge for not returning the towel) but use an old shirt and a book. Specialty restaurants were great, lots of food, and wine. Cuba has now changed their currency, any old bills and coins you have will no longer be accepted. Go to t [... read more]
Beautiful beach resort
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort is a three and a half star at most. It has the potential for a five star rating with a little work. The septic system is from the stone age and causes many problems in the bathrooms with toilets backing up and terrible smells at times. The staff at the hotel work very hard with what they have to make your stay a good one. Thank you to them all.
Really great family vacation
This was my own 20th trip to Cuba and 6th with my 2 daughters (aged 15&16) This hotel, beach and staff are amazing. The food selection was one of the most consistent and well stocked in all my visits. The dinning room staff (especially Merly's & Daimaris, Dairom and Annie) are fabulous and extremely helpful. The rooms and grounds were always clean and well maintained. The beach was clean and white fabulous sand everywhere We will return to this resort and I recommend it to anyone with [... read more]
Avoid it
I’m just going to start off by saying, if you read my review, I’m not a fussy traveler. I love Cuba, I try to vacation there once a year. The Cuban people are very nice. The beach at this resort was absolutely stunning. However, my experience wasn’t the most pleasant. I booked this trip because the majority of the reviews were positive, while there were a handful of negative reviews, that’s to be expected. Unfortunately, after my own personal experience at this resort, the negative re [... read more]
What a beach!!!
The hotel was very nice. It’s Cuba so it’s older then other countries and they don’t have the resources we have in Canada. The beds were good, the rooms very clean, the shower water was hot. The food was very good, especially the homemade bread and cheese. The staff was always cleaning and replacing items at the buffet. Entertainment was great, better then anywhere else we seen in Cuba (modern dancing instead of 1950 style). The beach was fantastic, water super clear and you could walk ou [... read more]
Awesome resort
Most of the satff were friendly. Amazing beach..white sand can not ask for any better fo beach lovers. Snack bar needs revisiting for service...wait time is way too long and need to be seated to order. Nightly entertainment
Beautiful
Dining was very good for Cuba. Good choice of a la Carte restaurants. Beautiful pool and amazing beach! Rooms spacious, clean, secure. Service was very good and staff very friendly. Bathroom by snack bar was out of commission while we were there, so bathroom facilities were limited to our room or the one by dining rooms.
Amazing beach
We stayed at the Memories Flamenco between Feb. 18 to 26, 2020 and had amazing vacation. Checking In was quick, staff at the checking desk courteous and very helpful. Our room was in building #6 3rd floor, was spacious and clean. Cleaning staff did excellent job, helpful and always in good mood. Buffet restaurant had lot of variety and very fresh. Chefs at the cooking stations were very entertaining and preparing excellent food. We loved their fresh prepared fish. Lot of baked goods and [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Cayaco
Our hotel was lovely .. the main bar was the star.. our hotel room was good with hot running water and we had our ocean view . Towels and bedding were changed regularly. We had beach towels ever day. Food was plenty - full with buffet and you could wait while they cooked fresh fish, chicken and beef... lots of salads, rice and potato dishes ... plenty of desert interests. Also three other Restaurants To choose from. Please remember this is Cuba they do their very best with their supplies.. [... read more]
The good , the bad, and the scary
We spent two weeks at this resort. First time in Cuba. Probably the last. We arrived at the resort at 11:45pm. No one to help with luggage. Told to go out the door and turn left. That's it. Very, VERY little lighting. Couldn't have read map without cell phone light. Third floor walk up. Big challenge with a very bad back like mine. Everybody knows food in Cuba is not that good. Food was in fact horrible. Buffett does not turn on heat under trays. Never. Not once was the Buffett even warm. Went t [... read more]
Very comfortable!
The resort was clean and grounds well kept. The beach was amazing, crystal clear water. Staff were resourceful and very friendly. Loved the daily entertainment during the day and evenings. A little bit for everyone. Loved all the daily fresh fruit at the buffet. Never a dull moment!
Good trip
To start there are pros and cons to this resort. First of all it has a great beach and the grounds are well kept. The staff in general were very good. The food was as what I expected for Cuba. Now the cons. The rooms are in need of a big face lift. The small bar fridge was never refilled. Choice of alcoholic drinks were very limited. All in all we had a good time
Great holiday resort
This year I went for the 5th time to this amazing resort. It is ideal for families with its 3 pools, including one for small children, 5 restaurants, spacious theatre, daily entertainment in the theatre and at poolside, also is next to the white sands of a Cuban beach
Always amazing
Favorite resort in Cuba. I have been here four times now and I will continue to go back. The beach and the staff alone make this resort worth the trip. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, couples, familys etc.
Had a great week at Memories Flamenco, Cayo Coco
Loved the beach, excellent staff on the beach got our beach chairs each morning. They were friendly and courteous, remembering us from one day to the next. Loved the food and although we did not try the a la cartes, had many great meals in the main dining room
Was not the best resort
We stayed in block 8 at the Memories Flamenco. The rooms are nice however, don't expect any hot or warm water after 4:30 pm right until morning aprox 6:30 a.m. The hotel ran out of ice everyday so warm alcohol unless you just drink beer, no slushy drinks or Pina Coladas. The grounds are well kept and the staff is great. The beds are as hard as a rock, and I got bites ,but I did not see any mosquitoes, so I'm not sure what they are :/ and I would rather leave it at that.
A bit disappointed
We have been to Cuba 3 times, we are not fussy and recognize that Cuba has its limitations in certain areas. I usually think negative reviews are the people not understanding Cuba. But This hotel felt disjointed. Like there is a management problem and no communication. They ran out of so many things it was laughable yet other resorts did not. For instance no pop at all, no coke, tonic, no 7-up. No mamosa( or sparkling wine) any day. No milk ( cream) for coffee one day. Coke came a few days here [... read more]
