Amazing resort!!!

This place is the best is the best of both worlds. You stay at Memories resort but get the use of the Royalton resort also. Food was great, lots of activities for all ages. Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and decorated nicely. Beach was amazing!!!

Decent resort with a great waterpark

A good 4.5 star resort. Good food. Great beach. Good service. The rooms need a refresh. The beds were horribly stiff and bouncy. Great resort for kids and lots for them to do. However the evening shows start at 9:30 but there are usually kiddie shows before.

Amazing resort and vacation!

I can not say enough nice things about this resort and vacation. We were spoiled from the moment we checked in! We were given a free room upgrade to a jacuzzi suit. The staff, the grounds, the service, the amenities, the beach, the pools, everything was absolutely perfect. We did not want to leave and come back to real life. Everything was clean and perfect. Awesome resort for families!

We just stayed there with our two children(3&6yrs old). We arrived at 10 am we were in our room by lunch time instead of after 3pm which was great! Our room: We were in building 8 and our balcony was looking over the pool! which was convient when our smallest napped and I could still watch my husband and older daughter playing in the pool. The maids were great since we were in and out often but they manage to get the room cleaned everyday! The grounds: we're beautiful lots of tree, shrubs, flowers! there was always someone pruning the trees, shrubs cleaning the walkways etc.... The staff: we're always smiling, saying hola to the children and calling them beautiful princesses! Front reception was great and quickly resolved Our card that stopped working! We also messed up the safe number and in twenty minutes someone was in our room and fixed it with no charge! The food was great, I didn't try everything but there was definitely favorites that I ate everyday ( omlet, pasta station,the meats station, Nacho, sauce,guacamole and salsa) and so much more, they had different themes every night in the buffet. The a la carte didn't do reservations which was a long wait time unless you were there at 6 pm! They did have entertainment ,cotton candy, nachos for everyone while they waited! The beach was on the royalton property which you needed to get a trolley ride which went by often! It was also only a 4 min walk from our building! The kids loved getting on for the ride! The beach was beautiful! The only thing I found they had staff trying to get you to join this travel program so they would offer you a free day pass to the royalton or a la carte it depends but you had to spend 2 hrs listening to there offer! I wouldn't do it, we got a day pass but could only use the pool not the bars( wouldn't serve my husband) he had to go to the memories bar on the beach! They also said we had a two free massages, which I booked the appointment but didn't have the papers and they almost charged it to our room! So we had to find the guy who gave it to us, and then get the certificate! Lots of wasted time, when we we had fun the last three days at the beach(memories side)! There was lots of bottled water!

Amazing

The hotel that we stayed in was very good and the room was amazing it was very clean and tidy, in the buffet, they had a variety of food and fruits. There was a lot of different dessert to choose from. The water park was also amazing.

Good for families with young kids

Overall a decent hotel with good amenities. Our room (building 6) was less than adequate with black mold in the bathroom and grime on the floors. It could use a renovation. The pools and waterslides were in great condition and pool service was excellent. The only issue with the pools were that guests were allowed to reserve pool chairs for multiple hours without use. This resulted in unused pool chairs and guests looking for spots. The guest services were questionable. We were locked out of ro [... read more]om for a few hours due to a faulty door lock. We also had to call multiple times for a crib upon arrival and waited several hours before one showed up. (Note: the crib mattress is a folded up blanket with a sheet on it). Restaraunts were good, buffet was OK and I would not recommend room service.

Excellent family resort

Everything was fantastic!! Very clean, friendly staff, fantastic service!! Food was good and lots of variety!! My favourite restaurant was " under the sea" Not one complaint , would go back in a heart beat!

We arrived at Memories Splash punts Cana and the room service was awesome our bags where delivered to our rooms but upon getting to our rooms we where quite disappointed to find that the ajoining rooms which we had requested was not available my grandchildren where going to be in my care in the evenings so my bed became theirs also as a party of seven we had three rooms on the same floor while our nephew was on a floor above us. Maid service was excellent tho I must say the bar being stocked daily just did not happen more than once we had to call for drinks to be restocked which took a couple of hours. The food was good I have had tastier at other resorts although when we complained about our rooms not being together the management did give us bracelets to their sister resort The Royalton the food was fantastic ! The sushi Bar was the best , we ate at the steak restaurant our dinner was one of the bests during our stay .We love the free WiFi all over the resort and the kids couldn't get enough of the water park. The entertainment at the Royalton nighty was top notch I would recommend if your at Memories Splash to hop on the trolley and enjoy. The pool and grounds where spotless and the staff where the happiest people. One more thing I will mention if your going for a week just enjoy the resort stay away from the excursion they are just money hungry people who are taking advantage of the tourist, they seem to think we are loaded with money when it comes to selling photos the prices are outrageous!! Also remember if you go to their shops dicker they will come down more than half of what they first ask.

Two week family trip

We just got back from our two week stay at Memories Splash. My wife and I, along with our three boys, had an excellent stay. There are so many positives to this resort. There was so much to keep the kids entertained. The water park was fun for all of us. It had a lot of lifeguards, and they were very attentive. The pools were great...the main pool had great entertainment staff and they had something different to go every couple of afternoons. One day they had waterwalkers, another day they had a [... read more]n inflatable gladiator pyramid...just things to change it up a bit from the water polo and volleyball. Every night around 7, they wheeled in an inflatable castle to entertain the kids while we waited for our food at the a la carte restaurants. We saw three different versions, so they changed it up a bit. Our kids enjoyed the kids club. Video games, crafts and board games inside, trampolines, swings, slides and climbing trees outside. We do not have any complaints about the food. You did not need reservations at the a la carte restaurants, which we enjoyed. If the restaurant was too busy they gave you a buzzer to let you know when your table was ready. With the Diamond Club, we had access to seven a la cartes, including a few at the Royalton, which you have to go through to get to the beach. For the first few days, you did not need a card to get your towels for the pool or beach. They were constantly out, and must have gotten complaints because half way through our stay, we had towel cards delivered to the room. We did not have any issues with towels at all for the two weeks. The place was one of the cleanest I have been to. You always saw someone washing, cleaning, picking up leaves...the place was really well kept. In all, we had a great trip and could easily see ourselves go back again for another two week stay.

Fabulous Family Resort

The resort is clean, the staff is friendly, there is so much to do day and night. The waterpark is amazing for all ages. They have tons of activities in the pool. They have so many food options for kids.

Terrible stay

Food was terrible we all got sick, there was 12 people in our party, food selection was limited, everything tasted the same or bad. Grounds were beautiful, rooms were ok, not very accommodating we booked 2 rooms travelling with our teens and even though there was adjoining rooms, they did not give us rooms those room, would not return to this resort. very disappointed

Great Family Resort

I was so impressed with the service and food. The rooms were great and very clean. The entertainment was great. Family water park was awesome. Would definitely go back. Layout was great and train was very convenient

GOOD RESORT

FIRST OF ALL THIS WAS A GREAT HOLIDAY BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER ALL THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND THE FOOD IN THE RESTAURANTS. POINTS 1 Grounds were kept exceptionally well: 2 Public areas were also kept well and very clean 3 Rooms were average with minor problems example: toilet seats were loose, some lights did not work, bath room and patio door both did stick and hard to open. The beach was beautiful but a ways to walk to even after taking the shuttle train. ( I have a bad back so that might be a little unfair as it caused me pain so I noticed it more than others might.) So over all it was a good vacation spot, but I think there are better places for the money. This is why I would not recommend Memories Splash to other unless you have kids or perhaps a young couple who would still enjoy the great water park.

Fantastic family resort

My husband and I stayed at Memories Splash with our 2 girls (3 & 8 months) last week. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the rooms and the entirety of the resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was enjoyed by all. Our 3 year old especially enjoyed the splash park as it suited her needs and was even great for our 8 month old. There is plenty of space to go for daily walks on the resort property & endless entertainment for the little ones. The only thing that came une [... read more]xpected was they ran out of cribs. We had requested one upon booking, prior to our arrival but for some reason they didn't have any available. After a few phone calls & help from our concierge Andy, we did receive one the following afternoon. We also had a room one the 3rd & top floor of our building and there are no elevators. I'm not sure if I missed that information on the website or if it's not even there. So if you are travelling with strollers prepare for a workout as you will have to carry your stroller up the stairs.

Good Family Resort

Had a good time with my 12 year old daughter....Food was good, room nice. Waterpark added a different element to a resort then I am used to and it was a good waterpark and none of the lineups you see at waterparks here! Was a great way to break up the day. Had room key problems and a heck of a storm the first night...ground floor rooms beside us were flooded and we couldn't get into our room for almost 2 hours...That was the first day there and with my daughter tired and the flooding she got ups [... read more]et waiting outside the room...Only other "concern" was the tub wouldn't drain while showering had to call multiple times to get the drain cleared...and although they helped it they never fully fixed the problem. But even with that being said the value and the fun by far out weighed the minor difficulties... I will look at going again. Splashes Memories Punta Cana

Grounds are well kept. Beach area is small. Drinks are not mixed, they are from a machine-blah Rooms were nice for Punta Cana. We paid extra for a room upgrade for location. The sister hotel was very nice.

Great resort, service a bit lacking

My gf and I stayed at this resort after we decided to take a last minute trip. Pricing was excellent and it's ranking on trip advisor was extremely high. I can say that the grounds were excellent, very clean, food was good but service was a bit lacking. Sometimes it felt like the employees didn't even want to be there. I'm not saying that all were like this but a fair bunch. Otherwise, I have nothing but good things to say about the resort. Memories Splash

The staff at the hotel were amazing. Unfortunately we came down to celebrate 3 births - all 27 of us became ill on this trip. Not quite sure what did it to us - but a bad experience, for this reason wouldn't recommend the resort.

Great facilities

Memories is a beautiful resort, the rooms are nice, clean grounds etc but the staff could have been friendlier. The restaurants are beautiful & presentation great although the food was only average. Also, the rooms were cleaned irregularly. Besides that, great resort.

Memories/Royalton - Great Trip!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here from Nov 5th, 2014 to Nov 10th, 2014. Great resort it is actually connected to the Royalton. As per our stay service was great we checked in quick and upgraded our wrist bands for about $150 combined so we could use all of the amenities of the Royalton. The resort is clean and the staff are friendly. Room was nice and cleaned everyday regardless of time, probably due to a good tip. I believe his name was Roubilio so look for him - Nice thing about him is he remembers you everywhere in the resort and will always come to see how everything is. Drinks are sub-par, but they do make some great shots - Juan at the beach swing bar & the sports bar makes a shot called the "Dominican Fire" gets you in an enjoyable mood to say the least. Shot outs to Juan! he thought I looked like some singer called Prince Royce so he would always joke around with me and my girlfriend. Dinners are great as we upgraded so could eat at any restaurant - the Spanish Tappa was amazing we were taken care of by the Manager Raul Jean - Sangrias, and shrimp were amazing along with the service. The beach is beautiful and the water is great - orange or yellow drinks attract bees so I wouldn't suggest getting them at the beach. Nightclub was pretty fun if you go with an open mind. Casino is the easiest money I have ever made - they play blackjack with like 4 decks so its easy to count. The splash park was a lot of fun as well and it is kept extremely clean which was great. The staff was great along with the food and drinks which made for a great vacation. I would definitely return.
