Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Good hotel

This is a good location being in the centre of varadero if you want to explore the streets and avenues. The beach is good, I stayed in the lower section which is across the street from the main hotel. The first building is the better option as it away from the open air disco down the street from it. The other rooms are too close to the loud music. Lots of drinks and no shortages of food or electricity. However I did find the quality of food was very poor early in the low season. Sanctuary White Sands: Very good

Overall the resort was great. Food became repetitive. The La Creole restaurant had great food. Hats off to the chef! If you like seafood they have plenty. Beautiful big pools with walk-in available at the one pool. Chairs at beach are better than those at the pool.

Sanctuary White Sands: Wonderful resort!

I love that every room had its own patio or balcony. The rooms were spacious and had all basic amenities such as fridge, iron, blow dryer. Large shower. The grounds were marvelous! Planting was going on daily. Large pool areas and short walk to the beach. Lots of both shade and sun at the beach. The entertainment staff were terrific, as were everyone. There were enough English speaking staff to manage questions and requests. Buffets had a good variety of food. Not spicy, at all.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: We had an amazing time!

We had an awesome week. The whole experience was great. We enjoyed the beach, the pool, the food and the staff. Our maid kept our rooms clean and comfortable. We were travelling with our daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter who is 2 1/2. Any concerns we had about travelling with a toddler were for nothing. She had the best time!

Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort

Could use a few improvements,, but overall one of the best resorts we have visited in Cuba over the last 40 years. The food was varied and plentiful. Entertainment was pretty good, definitely not a loud party place, which is what we were looking for on this trip.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Resort, Great People

This resort was wonderful. The staff were great, the facilities were in good shape and pretty well maintained. Some of the boardwalks could use some work to make them a bit safer. There was always lots of food. The rooms were clean. The beach was amazing! The ocean was so clean. The evening entertainment was great, but not intended for kids. If you are looking for a great resort that gives to great value for your money, I would highly recommend this resort.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Viva Cuba

We loved the hotel, small and very quiet and quaint, with such an amazing and attentive staff. The beach is beautiful, you can walk for hours and see practically no one! Big shout out to Dairon at the Buffet and Armando who works the snack bar and the À la carte restaurant. We will be back!

Brisas Del Caribe: Nice resort

Well half the resort was closed to renovations which limited a lot and 1 less pool. Beach was beautiful. Room was fine and ac and wifi worked well. Pools really needed maintenance. But I only paid $439 so worth the price

Hotel Playa Coco: Sun, sand, fun and family

The rooms were quite comfortable. The food was good, the ala carte restaurants were great and service was very good. Loved the returning guests dinners, they were fantastic. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great resort

I love this resort , it’s my fourth stay here. Only one complaint was the food was the same every day All the staff were very friendly and helpful I loved they put us in a ground floor room because of mobility issues. Because this resort is on the smaller size it is so easy to get around to the pool, beach, bars, and restaurants

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Beautiful Beach

We just returned from Playa Paraiso Of course the Staff were amazing kind and curtious. The beaches are gorgeous lots of shells on the beach. The rooms are beginning to show thier age but we know Cuba is having a hard time . I am not going to complain this is our second time at Paraiso and we won't go back untill updated but thats ok we loved it there

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Resort review

Overall we were quite disappointed with this resort. We went with an open mind but found a lot of disappointment. We knew the food would be hurt and miss but we found we had to stick to pasta or chicken for the entire week. No fruit, no beef, pasta sauces were bland. Hotel check took 4 hours to get our room. Shower had no pressure. Not to mention I had all of my jewelry stolen out of my checked luggage which I know had nothing to do with the resort but just added to our experience.

Hotel Mojito: Definitely won't be going back

I knew going in that this was an older hotel, so my expectations weren't high to begin with. However, Mojito still managed to disappoint: -No hot water and no water pressure, and the toilet didn't flush completely. -Food shortages. On various days there were no eggs, no cheese, no butter at the buffet. -Unresponsive Guest Services rep. It took me three days to get a beach towel, which was supposed to be in my room upon arrival. And I was able to get it only because I happened to run into the  [... read more]housekeeping lady (who was charming and very helpful). -Slow, disinterested wait staff in the buffet restaurant. On several occasions I wasn't offered water or coffee until after I'd finished my meal. On the upside, the staff at the Beach Bar were amazing. -Lighting in the room was atrocious. No overhead lights, two small wall lamps on either sides of the bed that were practically useless. There was also a bedside lamp, but when it ws plugged in I couldn't plug my phone in as well, and that was the only outlet in the room, apart from the television.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great time!!!

4 adults- had a great time. Good food (for Cuba), good drinks and a goodtime had by all 4 of us. 3rd time at this hotel and hopefully 4th next year. Cuba is suffering from what is going on in this world but we plan on returning if we can next year to Aston Cost Verde Beach Resort.

Playa Pesquero: Great week in Playa Pasquero

For the price this resort offers great value. The pool and the beach were why we went and they were exceptional. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very responsive and friendly The food supply was constrained but the resort did their best to serve decent meals. It wasn’t the best but we could always find something reasonable to eat.

Blau Arenal Habana Beach: 3 Stars

We were at Blau Arenal for 2 weeks in January 2026. Resort is nice and very quiet. Less than 1/2 full. Power outages frequent but an on-site generator kicks on in under a minute. Wifi resets and available in rooms, lobby & at the snack bar. Staff is wonderful. We could always find good food at the buffet, but don't expect much of a selection at the bar. No blender or fruit juices. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Take hot (warmer) showers in the afternoon due to solar heating. Bring facec [... read more]loths. The pool is cold but very clean. Gym had free weights & a universal set but treadmills & elliptical not working. I didn't try the bikes. Beach is nice, no mosquitoes right now, but read up on Midges. Their bites are nasty , we had dozens. The town of Guanabo to the right was a good beach hike away. Bus trips to Havana daily at 1030 with returns at 330 & 5pm. US$10 pp incl return. 30 min trip. Any nighttime returns will be by taxi. Bring lots to give away. Everyone appreciated it. Cheers!

Iberostar Coral Ensenachos: Always my first choice in Cuba

I'm a repeat guest at Ensenachos, and there are so many reasons I keep going back. The staff, without a doubt, are reason number one. They have had some challenges over the past couple years, as much of the country has, but they rise to the challenge every time. Rooms - The selection side rooms are always in a cycle of update and upkeep, and are comfortable at worst. The Coral side features bungalow suites with kitchen, sitting area and ensuite flush, and a full bedroom with full bath with show [... read more]er and tub. Coral also features hot tubs on the rear porches. Food - the biggest challenge the resort is facing in 2026 is getting their main buffet kitchen back in business, along with their a la carte rooms. They are making do, but they are constantly trying to get the restaurants running once more. On the Coral side, All three meals are available without going anywhere. The food is good, if not adventurous. They make the most of what is available. No shortage of seafood and meats. Wednesday night is lobster night, with entertainment. Snack bars at Playa Megano and the Selection side pool fill the gaps nicely. Service - It's very simple. If you need something that isn't immediately available, all you do is ask. If it can be done, they will make it happen. Room too cold (weird, right?)? No problem, here's the A/C remote, make it comfortable. Bus not running on time to the markets? We'll set up a driver, and we will ensure you get back safely as well. Excursions and experiences, no problem. All with a smile. Last but not least - The Beach(es). Without a doubt, Megano and Ensenachos are the best beaches in Cuba, if not in the islands writ large. Swimming, snorkeling, lounging... Beautiful sand, gentle surf, almost zero seaweed (no sargassum). Fish and other sea creatures in abundance. Thinking about going to Ensenachos?? Do it. You won't regret it.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: It's a good place to spend

The lobby & room services are nice.Especial bar services are very nice. The WIFI is too bad. We cannot use it in room. The foods are same as day and day. No chang in one week! We want stay here in next time ,but make more progresses.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: January 13th -27th vacation

January 13th - 27th vacation Our first time visiting Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin and am pleased to say our trip was fantastic. The Premium upgrade with butlers was outstanding. We were assigned Dariel as our daytime butler and Alvaro José Blanco Pupo for the evenings. Wow!! What a pleasure to get to know these two young men. The dedication and care we received was incredible. I received Good morning texts from Dariel asking how we are doing and if anything was needed. And a [... read more] how was our day from Alvaro in the evening. They booked all our a la carte dinners and coordinated together as a team. Each would randomly show up to say hello at breakfast or lunch and dinner. We always felt cared for. Breakfast was ordered in advance from Dariel and always delivered for our Aunt Jeannine when she decided to sleep in. They took great care of us and her as we celebrated her 82nd birthday on this trip. We asked and received extra pillows and blankets thank you again as our room air conditioning worked to well at times. Water to our room was always working, shower pressure was as good as home. I have to mention the whole butler system at this resort is one of the best teams I have encountered in our 22yrs of travels to many different island resorts . I have had butler service in many places but nothing like this dedicated group. A few more to mention that would stop by wherever we were at the time to see how we were doing Yosbel Zaldívar Sarmiento and Pablo who is also is attending university and Michel. Michel was assigned to my brother who surprised me at the resort at the start of our second week. I was sending photos of the resort pics of the food. That helped him decide to book two days before flying out to join us for our last week. I’m sorry so many others names I can’t remember. I was ask by guests why upgrade you don’t get much more than a few extra a la cart dinners. I can say we received much more than that. Never having to go to the front desk to ask a question or make a reservation or request or to report being locked out of your safe lol Alvaro called technicians and they were prompt to arrive. Using WhatsApp or Messenger was perfect to communicate. Room service for our aunt or ourselves. Extra anything they could provide they did. And so much more to mention but it would be a book. Our breakfast and lunch in the premium section restaurants was sit down service and a game changer. No line up to wait and the service staff was so friendly and over the course of two weeks those we interacted and spoke with often would remember us and specific things we mentioned about ourselves. This resort is not lacking in wine , soft drinks or food. Our fridge was stocked daily with water, two soft drinks and 2 beers (Crystal) All our meals were large portions plus always options for staters. Every soup I tried was delicious. I’m a little scared to try on my work pants My favourite and most consistent meal was at the Creole restaurant. The pools are beautiful and clean. Our ocean view was absolutely amazing. Building A 1311 Mila and Glenise our housekeepers work very hard always clean towels, floors clean and shiny coffe maker cleaned coffee packets left for our use and took the time for some beautiful extra little touches for me in my room. Always looked forward to coming back to see what they did. The ground’s gardening staff work incredibly hard to keep it looking beautiful. I can only say from our experience we would definitely return here in the future. Same room ? ?. This resort was a bonus to find but people of Cuba are what keeps us coming back.
