Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Nice Resort

This hotel is class A in every regard. rooms were clean,modern and spacious pools were warm, lots of chairs at pools and beach, waiter service for drinks were great both at the pools and beach. Omar was our favorite drink waiter at the pools. Great location, walking distance to the malecon. Food was good at buffet as well as the ala cartes. Staff were all friendly. Nightly shows were very entertaining. Would highly recommend

Now Garden Punta Cana: Great short stay

The Now Garden is a smaller atmosphere place. The check in was very informal and very quick. the check in staff, especially Eva M. was extremely proficient and friendly. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The Italian restaurant just off in the Lobby was excellent pasta foods and pizza's for dinner which also has the breakfast areas. Caroline was the door hostess who was a special treat with her exceptional kindness and friendliness. Luis at the little Lobby bar was also very friendly [... read more] and a pleasure to deal with. The other restaurants which is a short tram ride or about a 10 min walk over to the Lorimar were also good in regards to both food and service. The Lorimar's had nightly entertainment which keep the large gathering pleased with various much and a variety of entertainments. The disco that was upstairs and open air concept keep the after show crowd dancing and half open , half close concept is a nice concept with the night air blowing thru. They had a beach party with a bar on the beach and a very nice fire show. They did have some issues with continually running out of beer through out the days at the poolside bars which had many patrons unhappy. I found the beach area to be very large with plenty of available lounge chairs. One of the items that was confusing is that there are no wrist bands and there are VIP areas that are not clearly marked. I went to several areas the staff informed me that I was not VIP status and was not allowed there ( One bar and pool area and a restaurant by the beach). It would be a good Idea for the check in staff to advise of this . Overall very pleasant experience. Would consider a return visit.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Spectacular, but not quite perfect, resort!

This was my first all-inclusive experience, but it was my girlfriend's seventh, so this review includes feedback from a first-timer and someone with experience. Pros: FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. The food was the best food at any resort, ever. In some cases, better than food back home. We point this out specifically because we know that food at all-inclusive resorts, although abundant, usually isn't as good as one would expect. My girlfriend who has nearly traveled the entire world in search of the bes [... read more]t Tiramisu, said that "Capers" (The Italian Cuisine restaurant) had the second best tiramisu outside of Italy she's ever had (there's one in our hometown in Nova Scotia that was just slightly better). The fact that the a la carte restaurants were unlimited, and first-come-first-serve basis (no reservations) practically made the buffet obsolete (more on that later). Of the four a la carte restaurants, the one we would rate the lowest was "Spice", the Chinese Cuisine restaurant, but it was still quite good. If we were able to see the teppanyaki show, or if we ordered from that menu we likely would have enjoyed it more. "Mercure", the French Cuisine restaurant was by far the best. They had a filet mignon that was (literally) worth writing home for. It was the only restaurant we went to twice for supper, but we wish we likely would have gone more if we had more time. The lunch a la carte restaurant was also awesome, "Castaways". We went there for all but two lunches when we discovered the lunch buffet was also quite good. The resort was small, which was nice, it was never over crowded, and the rooms/buildings were laid out around the restaurants and garden which were central. Everything was very easily accessed by foot (no more than a 5 minute walk from one end of the resort to the other). Everything was really clean and the facilities were very well maintained. Service was excellent. We can easily see why this is one of the highest rated resorts in the area. Cons: The doorknobs in the room were a real pain to use. It actually made getting out of the room or the bathroom difficult. I'm not sure if it was just our room or if other rooms had this issue. The lounge chairs on the beach were not very comfortable. I didn't have many complaints about them but my girlfriend indicated that they were the one of the least comfortable she's had at any resort and indicated this would likely be the biggest improvement they could make. VIP Services staff - though very friendly, they were very aggressive about getting us to sit through the presentation(s) they offered in exchange for coupons or other things. It got to the point where we would intentionally avoid the lobby to avoid interacting with these people. My girlfriend says she'd normally like to hangout in the lobby and enjoy time there so this was something that she found detrimental. Otherwise, if you don't spend much time in the lobby, then I don't think you'll have this issue.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Fantastic Vacation

We recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at the Now Jade and we had a fabulous time. The resort is beautiful, we had a junior suite overlooking the pool and beach, and the restaurants were great. Can’t say enough about the people looking after us, the service was incredible . Special shoutout to - Moises, the pool concierge, who made sure we had everything we needed at the pool. The poolside staff who catered to us every day, especially Ivan & José, who made sure we had refre [... read more]shments at all times. Ceci, pool entertainment, who stopped by to chat. Enrique at Castaways who took care of us at lunch and Leoncio & Armando at the Carnival restaurant who took care of us at breakfast. Francisco at the lobby bar. Abraham who came by every dinner to make sure everything was ok and Felix, the Manager. The highlights of our week included a romantic dinner in the garden with the 3 Tenors was fabulous, watching the Buffalo Bills game on the huge screen in the outdoor lobby, the haunted house for Halloween was incredible and our dinner in the VIP room at CinCin.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Now Onyx is truly Fantastic Resort

Luxury resort with friendly staff. Quality of the rooms are not the best but pools and restaurants are fantastic. Try the French and Stake house restaurant as they offer top notch quality food. Just be careful not be trapped by the marketing team as they offer you bunch of useless coupons to sit down and listen to their waste of time sells pitch for half a day. Enjoy and have a nice vacation!

The wedding was awesome every thing was set up perfect from start to finish .We had great weather awesome food and great people who serving us did a awesome job The resort had lots of great things to do and go for long walks on the beach Beautiful rooms that were kept extremely clean

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous beach, great food, friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating staff. They came quickly to fix the phone and safe. We added Preferred Club level and made trip extra special. We had room closer to beach and access to preferred club pool and lounge. Staff accommodating with food allergies.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: A great vacation at Now Amber Puerto Vallarta

We just got back from a weeks stay at the Now Amber Hotel. The hotel is extremely well kept, beautiful, clean and the staff are very professional and attentive. We stayed at the hotel a majority of our stay in Puerto Vallarta, as the kids really enjoyed the pools and beach. After a couple days of getting comfortable, it felt like home. There are lots of food options at the hotel including the Carnival buffet, An Italian, Asian-inspired, Mexican, and a Steakhouse. Our favorite was the It [... read more]alian restaurant. (Beef carpacio was the best part). All in all, the food was good, but nothing mind blowing. We usually didnt have any trouble getting seats. There was lots of activities at the resort that we used more so near the end of the week. Activites included: rifle shooting, volleyball, aerobics, yoga, kayaking, paddleboarding. There is a good kids club for the kids to particpate in many different types of activities daily. We got to participate in a baby turtle release during our stay as well. Great experience. The nightly shows were fun. My favorite was the Beatles show. As i mentioned earlier, the staff was great. The bartenders and servers were quick and remembered our names. The ladies at the coffee shop were very kind. The front desk staff helped me break down big bills in pesos down to smaller amounts for tipping. The cleaning crew did a nice job with our rooms daily. I definitely recommend this to families. If you want adults only, the partner hotel next door called Secrets is a good option too. You can go to any of the restaurants and shos between the two hotels.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Disappointed

This hotel was a disappointment from the Now Jade Mexico. The food was cold at best and all meat dishes were unable to chew. Our room on the 3rd floor bedding smelt musty all the time. The staff was just average.

I found this resort to be an easy one to get around and the set up was nicely done, Our purpose was to have a safe, relaxing stay and to enjoy good walks on the beach, ocean time, swim time and eat lots of veges and fruits. I travel with a walker and found it to be an easy resort to manouver. I was able to access the carts as needed however found that all areas were accessible to me with the exception of the inner pool area via land as there were stairs to climb and decend however the bar was ac [... read more]cessible via the pool so parking the walker near the lazy river and getting in a good walk in the water was attainable with ease. The main building housed the front lobby bar, the entertainment stage, a cafe with great freshly made espresso based coffees, teas, and a sweets, tea sandwich cooler, an ice cream parlour, and a Burger shop. It felt like we were going into little cafes, shops however this being all inclusive no money required just pop in sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.The dining area was similar in that is felt like little restaurants. We enjoyed the Spice as well as the Mecure. The morning breakfast was served at the buffet, a juice bar offered smoothies and blended juices from a good variety of fruits and veges, fresh espresso and regular coffee was available. The Barefoot Grill offered awesome roast chicken and at times fried chicken as well as hamburgers, salads, fruits, fries, chili, taco chips and cheese. Ernesto was our special connection at the beach grill he ensured we got beverages, always greeting us with a big smile and caring ways. This vacation was a much needed healing time and we were not disappointed. The staff were attentive, supportive special mention to Olivia Concierge, Lissa Front Lobby Ambassedor, Aris and Zorrilo Butlers who kept an eye out on us. The rooms offer comfy beds, cozy linens. The balcony spacious, bug free with a fun jaccuzi just need to ensure you fill it up past the jets. The grounds are well kept and nicely laid out. We needed to be able to relax and feel safe and we got that. We are already looking at how we can book another stay.

Overall beautiful resort, great beach, rooms were awesome, staff and restaurants first class. Very well maintained and spotless. Really nothing negative to say. Would definitely stay here again. well located close to airport and attractions. Staff were very friendly and attentive to everything. Great entertainment in the evenings as well.

We just got back from our vacation. We stayed in Now Larimar.- Punta Cana. The resort is excellent. Very well kept grounds, nice rooms, excellent food. Now Larimar has the best entertainment crew of all. Every evening there was a different show. Overall, good experience. The only thing that we did not like is staff pushing you to get into their preferred members club. I understand business but I'm on vacation and if I say "no" that means "no". I don't want to be pushed and coupons given, if  [... read more]I promise to spend 1/2 day listening to their lectures.

I love my all inclusive vacations and over the years, have stayed at resorts in Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica and the DR. Even though I'm Jamaican, the DR is my favourite vacation destination. In the DR, I've previously enjoyed the Majestic Elegance and various Bahia Principe resorts, which were also really good. I will intentionally leave out the names of those that specifically served us with excellence because I want those reading my review to know that there is no ulterior motive for writing this review. The resort simply employs excellent staff members who love their job and it filters through their service. Prior to our trip, I emailed the resort asking them kindly to provide us with an upper floor room with a nice view, I was floored to find out that they had upgraded us to the Preferred Club. Our room was gorgeous with a pool and ocean view! This resort greatly exceeded our expectations. Because we are foodies, I was most concerned about the food because we enjoy our flavours and spices. However, the food was excellent! My boyfriend loves his steak and he got to enjoy some. The staff was very friendly and helpful with outstanding service. There wasn't anything they weren't willing to do for you. The grounds were immaculately kept, the beach was warm and welcoming. The grounds and pools were gorgeous. Unfortunately, because of Hurricane Maria, we were evacuated and could only enjoy 2 days of paradise. My boyfriend didn't want to come home. We both can't wait to return to this resort as soon as things get cleaned up. We will definitely be back.

Have been to this resort 3 times and looking forward to going back again next year. The resort is smaller and lush. The service is excellent .the people are great and the food is good. Have no desire to try a different resort ... mostly because of the people.

Stayed 7 days in double occupency room on second floor. Room is big and well designed. Although the website states that there are 10 restaurants, there are only 5 (other ones are at sister hotel and you only have access after 6 pm). The buffet is the best: it has variety, quality and tasty food. The ice cream parlour only has 4 ice cream flavours (same one everyday). The Coco Cafe offers nice pastries. The concierges are helpful (Geison is fantastic) and the staff every where on site is friendly [... read more]. The gym is great as it offers a nice selection of work out equipment. Don't buy excursions with hotel reps as you can get better prices (and deal them down) with reps on the beach. Get your own taxis outside hotel (way cheaper).

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Brand new resort, clean & modern

Stayed 7 days in king size bed swim up room. Was worthy to pay a little extra to have the swim up. No stairs to get to room. Rooms are spacious: nice bathroom & comfortable bed. The hotel is very clean and the staff is super friendly & helpful. Best food is at the International Cafe (buffet), the Spice (Asian) and the Italian restaurants are not good. Nice gym to work out (open 24 hrs) and nice tennis courts. Drinks are good and the beach is nice although there are better beaches (Bavaro & Macao [... read more]). The landscape (gardens) is beautiful and the lay out gives easy access to every area of the hotel. Area outside hotel is very safe and Dominicans & Haitians are nice and friendly. Excursions and transportation offered by the hotel are over priced; buy your excursions with the beach reps (Valentino & Ulysse) and don't be afraid of using taxis from the plaza outside hotel. You can deal down their prices and unlike what the hotel reps say, it is safe to do business with them. The Spa services are ridiculously over priced (even with the 50% off coupons they give you). Get them at home instead.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Just okay

Did not like the food, very sub par. 3/4 of us got diarrhea. The hotel doesn't use straws for their drinks for environment purposes but a pina colada is not the same without a straw. The Explorer's kids club also told my children they had to leave 10 minutes before break time at 5pm. My kids were sitting alone in hotel for 10 minutes waiting for us outside of explorer's club. Wasn't impressed with that at all. Pool was very dirty too.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Excellent Staff - Small and Quaint Resort

Our family has been to Punta Cana on several occasions and this is our first time at the Now Larimar. The resort is small and quaint which worked out well as we have a 12 year old son who was able to venture out on his own a bit. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The rooms and amenities are well kept and always clean. The food needs some work however, the buffet in particular is not stellar.
