Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Spectacular resort

Very service oriented. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms, grounds, pools all very pleasing. The food and restaurant selections were fantastic! Check in/out was straight forward. Lots of areas to grab a cocktail.

This resort was absolutely beautiful and the staff was so accommodating and nice. The food was one of the best for all the resorts I have been to. Also loved the room service option. I would highly recommend!

Our stay at Melia Caribe was truly remarkable, characterized by stunning views. However, our experience with Trip Central fell short of expectations. Despite booking our accommodations for our wedding group through their platform, there were significant issues with hotel bookings and a lack of support following a flight delay. Their lack of precision and assistance during crucial moments of our trip left us feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. It was disheartening to rely on others to rectify the situation instead of receiving the support we expected from Trip Central. Despite these challenges, we recommend Melia Caribe Beach Resort. The resort's commitment to excellence, coupled with its breathtaking surroundings, made our stay truly unforgettable. While our experience with Trip Central may have been disappointing, our time at Melia Caribe was nothing short of exceptional.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Disappointed

The check in experience was horrible, they could not find our booking, we arrived at 1030 and didn't get a room until 4am and they insisted we pay again because they could not find our booking even though we had all the proof to show we booked. We do not advise booking with trip central, we emailed in advance because we were worried , the resort could not find our booking, we were asking for something special for an anniversary, spoke to our travel agent and she assured us everything would be fi [... read more]ne, which it in fact was not. So that was frustrating because we tried to resolve this before arriving and the travel agent didn't intervene. Resort was way too big, the food was ok, my partner and i both got food poisoning. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Booking nightmare

The grounds and resort is very pretty, extremely large and a long walk from lobby to room and room to beaches and pools like 20 to 30 minutes long. We were a group of 30 for a wedding 3 couples didn't have rooms /booking not found by resort , we waited/ fought for 5 hours then we had to put the rooms on our visa and fight with our agent to confirm our booking. The people at lobby for bookings have NO idea who are in rooms. They gave us rooms that had people in them . Couldn't book a la carte as [... read more] our names weren't the couple showing up in our room . Every couple had to run several time to lobby to re- activate their key cards. The resort did compensate us with Level bracelets for our troubles. Some of the rooms are run down some had no hot water, some no air conditioning, some mirror fell off in bathroom, unable to lock patio doors, the bridal couple was stuck on second level in a double bed and shower only while the rest of the group had family rooms on main level with king size bed and jacuzzi tub. Some couple in our group got the wedding package and champagne delivered to their room with desert, not the bridal couple. For booking 8 months in advance you would think k they would have kept the group together in one building instead they scattered our 17 rooms all over in individual buildings, there wasn't any of us that was in same buildings. Will never book Melia again and the staff on resort very nice and friendly but you need to train the booking staff as none knew what they were doing. Even down to the supervisor juon no clue who was in what room and took 1 whole day to change the bridal couple to a new room and give the group their level bracelets. I have never seen such an unorganized resort but beautiful its a shame the staff is giving this resort a very bad name. More training !!

Loved the Meliá Level! Great room, not in it much! Paid extra for the Level (worth it) Felt loved and cared for all 10 days, amazing food, amazing beach, pool was lovely, not in it much mostly beached! The true highlife was the staff, be kind to these folks!! The interaction with them was the highlight of the trip

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Average food

Beautiful resort, well-maintained. However, we were disappointed with food selection. This resort is appropriate for older age group, certainly not a party resort. Also, the entertainment is limited. The beds are too firm, didn't get a good sleep. We wouldn't return to this resort.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: A wonderful family holiday!

This resort was a fantastic breakaway for our family. The resort was very kid-friendly and had loads of activities every day for our boys to enjoy including obstacle courses, bouncy castles, larger than life sized transformer robots, pirate shows, etc. etc. etc. The resort also offers childcare services for children with fun activities scheduled every day. The pools and beaches were beautiful and very well maintained. An Excellent resort with many amenities, large clean rooms, and friendly staff. Food options are limited as out of 5 restaurants, 3 were fully booked for the week we were there. Night's entertainment is also limited to mostly Kariyoki.

The hotel lives up to its name! The grounds are beautiful and filled with trees and greenery. You are very much surrounded by the most picturesque tropical gardens! Unlike any other resort in the surrounding area. There are plenty of palm trees and sun beds that are well shaded! The pools are everywhere. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Short 7-8 min walk to the beach or you can take the cart ride for a min or, 2. The food was good! The resort did lack evening entertainment and nightlife, like the title, it is very quiet. Not much for kids to do either. This should have been included in our package, and was listed during the time we booked, but access was taken away before our arrival. The resort is small, quiet, clean and beautiful. Not a place I would recommend for families with young kids simply because there isn't any kids club or fun activities to entertain them. The property was gorgeous. The food was great. The staff was friendly. If you’re looking for night life there isn’t much, it’s more of a relaxing place. The crowd is generally older and keep to themselves.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Amazing getaway

This was by far one of the best resorts we've traveled to thus far. Is it an older resort, yes. But once you see by pass the chip in the pool you will be amazed with what the remaining of the resort has to offer. We highly recommend splurging and paying a little bit more to get the swim out! You have your own little oasis on your patio leading to the swim out! The a la carte food, was good. However, the buffet food was just ok. We never starved.

We had the swim up master suits which was great was able to walk right into the pool from the room. Lots of green ares was great to relax. Bit far from the beach, but frequent shuttles were available. Ideal for matured people. Food was accessible, but being a Canadian used to good food, it wasn't a great experience. We had access to other hotel's resturants own by the hotel, that was a great option.

Beautiful beach, awesome pool, great buffet. *Towels and mini bar not always restocked.* Beautiful property, quite large necessary to take the trolley to and from lobby OFTEN. Some Staff awesome. *Keys rarely worked, 5 times my key card did not work so had to return to lobby each time to get reset. Major pain and frustration. As waiting for trolley and return quite long!* *Airport a nightmare.*

The grounds of this resort are absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly. There are activities to do or you can just relax by the pool or at the beach. The issues we encountered were all about our room. Our group consisted of 6 ladies and we requested rooms with 2 beds. We were told that only 1 of approximately 15 buildings had rooms with 2 beds. We had to switch rooms on our second day. Throughout our vacation, we had problems with getting towels and snacks replenished. Our biggest prob [... read more]lem was that our key cards stopped working daily and we were always told to go to reception which was a trolley ride away. Sometimes this happened multiple times a day. This was extremely frustrating and inconvenient and left us feeling disappointed about our overall experience on our long anticipated vacation.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Meliá Welness Punta Cana

We throughly enjoyed the Meliá Punta Cana. The staff were super friendly and they went over and above to please us. Beautiful location, stunning beach, awesome food and fun pool activities. We enjoyed our daily water exercise classes of Zumba and Water Aerobics. Thank you to Javier and LeeAnne for their fun classes. Other than the horrible departure home, at the airport, and our leaky fridge, we totally enjoyed our stay.

The grounds of this resort is very beautiful and relaxing! The rooms (Level) were comfortable and clean. Well stocked also. Food was good, always something you can find to your liking. Staff very courteous (some have issues with the english language)

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Not a 4 star hotel

Grounds were well kept clean there were people out daily cleaning. Pool area has a lot of tiles that need replaced. Food was pretty good for the most part (Al a carte mediocre). Rooms were clean but need updating they had double beds (and we had 3 adults) and bunk beds with no blankets. Had one very rude staff member when calling to the desk but the rest of staff was nice. Our sliding door did not lock so it had to be repaired but still had a gap (it was the person I talked to about this who [... read more] was very rude) Entire hotel needs upgrades!
