Henry Morgan Resort: Beautiful Beaches

This resort was very simple, nothing extravagant however the food was very tasty, but much like the resort very simple. The rooms were basic but clean and the staff were super friendly and very helpful. There was a small leak during one very wild storm and the maintenance crew fixed it the very next day. The beds were comfy and everything was very clean. The beach was so beautiful it was unreal and staff made this an amaizing vacation. We had a great experience.

Media Luna Resort: Interesting Resort

Best part of the resort is the individual cabanas. They are very nice and the staff cleans them very well. Never saw an insect once in the rooms, they wash the floors every single day and I think they treat for insects then. The setting is very tropical. Pools were not in great shape and they didn't seem to clean them well the last couple day's the water was murky looked really unsanitary. The food is what you would expect not a lot of variety but this is a very small resort. They give you canned beer not on tap I liked it was great, only 2 at a time but we stocked up on them. There are small flys that bite at night I didn't get too many but lots of people were covered. Staff was OK not rude for sure just not super friendly, fine by me. however some looked really young like less than 14 and that upset me a little. I would recommend it as long as they knew all the negatives about the hotel first

Media Luna Resort: wonderful setting

This resort is a wonderful place for a relaxing retreat. The snorkeling was awesome and the variety of places to sit was great as well. Entertainment staff were great and as well the serving staff. Food was very tasty and great variety but could be warmer. Surroundings were very beautiful and would love to return.

Henry Morgan Resort: Better than usual

We love this resort. We have stayed many places in Roatan. This was our third trip to Henry Morgan. It just keeps getting better! Its not fancy, mind you. The food is delicious beyond belief which is the main reason we go. The second is the location A+++. The staff have been there for many years and are very happy and make the stay feel like home. Henry Morgan Resort: 2 star at best

rooms were ok most, drinks served in dixie cups.there were no dinner plates just saucers.Food was the same most nights. power was out twice and the food by the pool was very poor, Nice beach but was crowded

Media Luna Resort: Resort great

Very nice for swimming and snorkeling. The grounds are nicely kept and the newer rooms are large and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach and the staff were very accommodating. The food was ample and drinks were good.

Media Luna Resort: Terrible Food! But Beautiful resort!

The resort is secluded and quiet. Very beautiful and peaceful. The ocean front room was beautiful and large. The staff was very friendly and attended to. The food was terrible. We were warned about the food and was prepare for it. However, when we were there the food tasted awful. Worst then what I was expecting. Most of the vegetables were obviously from a can. Some days they had tomatoes and other days not so much. The rice was not cooked and was oily. Some dishes was very salty (uneata [... read more]ble). I love salt and I couldn't even eat it. They serve a lot of chicken and fish. Not much for children to eat. Bread look stale. Cheese tasted sour. French fries uncooked and very oily. You can tell they use leftovers to make other dishes the next day. Your food comes from the sister resort which is about 45 minutes away. There was really not much to do at this resort. If you love scuba diving and snorkeling then this is heaven for you. For those who did not enjoy water activities then you would be bored. We had some issues during our stay that we were not impressed with. 1) Our front porch had no light. There was no working switch to turn on/off the light. We told the front desk on several occasions but nothing was done about it. We complaint 3 days in a row. Front desk kept telling us that they were calling "the guy" to fix it but it was never fixed. We had to use our cell phone light as a flashlight to enter our room. We couldn't be bother to complain any more as nothing was getting done. 2) We signed up for the island tour in English. The day of... we got on the tour bus and confirmed with the driver that we were on the Island tour. No body asked us for our name or room number to confirmed that they had the right people on tour. We started our tour and realized it was in French only. The tour guide was a French Canadian from Quebec. When he found out that we only spoke English...there was no attempt on his part to make us feel like we were part of the tour. He did not attempt to translate or continue the tour in English and French. We did not understand anything that was said on the tour. We had to ask other tourist to translate for us. We paid $170 US for this tour. Not worth it! We meet another couple at the resort who had a private tour of the island with one of the representative from Daniel Johnson's sloth hang out. The tour cost them $60 US. So we decided to do our own private island tour with Dustin (driver from Daniel Johnson's sloth hang out) so we can learn about the culture and the island. It only cost us $60 US and Dustin was very professional and knowledgeable. Would recommend him!!! The people are great but I would not recommend this resort.

Fantasy Island Beach Resort: Very nice location

Everything was good, the location is amazing. The only minus -sand flies whose very itchy bites (hundreds of them covered my and my friends' body), we had to treat for three weeks following our vacation. Although there was a person spraying some chemical around the beach at 7 am every morning, it didn't seem to be effective enough. It would be great if the management decided to do something about it. Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Best Resort for all!

The Sunwing package was perfect. The Sunwing staff were very helpful. Any time we had to deal with the Infinity Bay Resort staff they were friendly and efficient. All four of us had plenty of food choices at every meal. The pool was nice and warm. And is there such a thing as too much alcohol in your drink, the bartenders were generous. Media Luna Resort: Beyond expectations!!

I can't say enough about our trip to Media Luna resort and Spa and the island of Roatan. The accommodations were so unique. Individual cabins with a nice deck fairly spacious air conditioning was great. The staff at the resort were so friendly and helpful, the entertainment team were so energetic and fun!! Food was delicious many items always available. I don't eat meat and there was plenty of variety for me!! Saw nurse shark, sea turtle, octopus and a large variety of beautiful fish. This is the place to go if you are looking for a low key and casual resort. Entertainment every night but ended at 11pm which is nice for the guests who were up early everyday to scuba dive. I would go back again in a heartbeat. Many of the other guests I spoke to had been to Roatan several times and thought Media Luna was the best pick for a resort!! Loved every minute of my trip and stay!!

Fantasy Island Beach Resort: Wonderfull place to go !

Such a nice island, resort was great, room was big, clean, looked out on the water, resort people where courteous, never was disappointed, met lot's of great people. food was very good, had nightly entertainment, always something different. beach and water was fantastic. and the price was so reasonable as compared to other places we considered to go, would definitely go back. we told lot's of our friends about how nice it was.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Perfect resort for us.

The size of the resort was perfect, not overcrowded, no line up for food and booking ala carte was easy. As well we found the whole environment very casual which was a welcome change from many other resorts we have vacationed at.The staff were friendly and went out of their way for us a few times. Location was excellent, did not have to take any excursions because snorkelling was right in front of us and a water taxi was always waiting to take us wherever we wanted to go.

Henry Morgan Resort: Paradise

This was the most beautiful amazing wonderful trip I have been on! I cannot wait to come back! The only thing I would have to say is that english was a language rawly used. And unfortunately I do not understand other languages. Nonetheless that certainly did not change the wonderful time I had. A WEEK WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH

Media Luna Resort: Everything the pictures say !!!

We loved it. Cabanas ... wow! The beds were a little hard but certainly ok to sleep. Staff was helpful and very friendly. It was more than we expected ... a little bit of paradise. Not crowded at all and lots of room on the beach and around the pools. The restaurant for the buffet was really accommodating with lots of room. Couple of negatives would be the food was not very hot and quite salty and yup ... the "no see ums" were bad. Do remember to take bug spray. There is no transport for you [... read more]r luggage to your cabana. You can have a hotel person carry it up for you however the pathways are cobblestones and its a little difficult to pull the luggage along. We didn't find the walk too bad but if anyone was difficulty walking around I would not recommend the resort. Its also a little hard on the luggage. We did one off site trip. I would recommend you stick with the resort trips because if you choose to do a trip on your own, the cabs or your ride cannot come into the resort and you have to walk to the main road outside the resort ... its quite a walk on a non paved hilly road and I certainly would not do this at night ! Guides were great and prices a little expensive but I you pay for what you get.

Fantasy Island Beach Resort: My new favorite Resort!

Fantasy Island Beach Resort & Dive Marina Roatan, Honduras I have to say after travelling to numerous islands and locations within the Caribbean, that Fantasy Island Beach Resort & Dive Marina in Roatan, Honduras is now my ultimate favorite location. My son & I met many friendly individuals who had nothing but nice comments to say regarding this resort. Many of whom were returning guests for many years. I have to give Kudos to the Animacion staff who seem to work many hours with a continuous smile on their faces. Obviously they love and appreciate their jobs which show in their demeanor. The rooms could be updated but not really a necessity as in reality, we are really in the rooms only to sleep. All rooms have a beautiful ocean view. Above all...this is an extremely safe resort. I never had to worry about anything. Most importantly, one could relax without being harassed on the beach by vendors. This is a private beach. The grounds are well maintained and the beach is a painters dream! Absolutely gorgeous with an array of blue colors teal to turquoise. Jaw dropping views. It was my sons first tropical experience & he absolutely loved it. This is a diver's and snorkelers dream as this is the second largest reef besides the great barrier. All kinds of ocean life was seen. Super safe to swim, snorkel & Dive. The food is quite good. Buffet style but with quite a good selection and variety. The only suggestion I would make is to have a snack shack & bar (hamburgers/hot dogs etc.) no $ on the beach. This is a very relaxed resort. There is no need for fancy clothing. The highlight was our little monkey friends (4) that roam the little island at their will. They come at various times of the day to play with you. They literally hop on to your shoulders. Hold on to your shades and cups as they do tend to run off with them...quite amusing monkeys. My experience at Fantasy Island was fantastic. I'll rate this as a 9 out of 10 in my books for a 3 star resort. I will definitely be promoting Fantasy Island Beach Resort & Dive Marina to all my friends...In fact 2 are going in December 2017 thanks to my feedback :-) Looking forward to my return in October!

Palma Real: Love this resort :)

I Loved this resort largely because of the people who run it so efficiently and organized. We arrived and we're greeted with smiles and a cold drink. Smooth transition to our room which was everything I requested. Clean, big, beautiful and amazing view. Free safe in the room, free WIFI throughout fantastic. Missing in the room is a minibar and coffee maker. Pools, nice and clean the addition of a jacuzzi would be nice. Loved the beach and beautiful grounds. Food was the best I've had at any res [... read more]ort. They need to work on drink selection at the bar. The addition of a blender at all times not just when the locals come in is a must. An espresso machine for specialty coffee is a must. Only one beer offered Salva Vida, there should be more choices.The bar was really lacking and needs improvement. I want to add that the Nexus rep was amazing, so informative, available and welcoming.

Media Luna Resort: Overall Good place to stay, but needs some improvement

Media Luna Resort is a good place to stay, we enjoyed the fact that everybody gets a separate cabaña, with deck and hammock, it's kept clean and safe. Most employees are friendly and most of them try their best to accomodate any requests. The hotel is located in a remote area, but it is ideal for families and specially for people interested in snorkeling. The food offered is not not good and the drinks are cheap and sugary. Entertainment is fair, it needs improvement. The Beach is small but good enough for us.

Henry Morgan Resort: Not impressed

The food was terrible.Bathroom was not very clean in room. Smell of sewer everywhere.Staff couldn't speak English so very hard to deal with. Girl that checked us in was rude. Roatan itself is beautiful but I would not stay at Henry Morgan Resort again.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Paradise

I am now forever spoiled for beaches as this was the most pristine beach I have ever been on. Crystal clear at all times, excellent snokelling and diving, perfectly clean shore. Small, clean, friendly resort. Not busy at all which is what we liked- Roatan is NOT like Cuba, Mexico, DR....much more laid back, slower pace, less people, smaller hotels, less bustle, it was exactly what we needed. Buffet was excellent as was the "a la carte restaurant"- wish it was indoors though or room service was available. We were hoping for a more exciting bar menu than just the regular daiquiri/margarita menu, but we weren't complaining. We had a studio room which was a little small for us but now that we know they have different options, we are booking a 1 bedroom suite next year. The Dive shop was efficient and mostly organized. lol. They offered a good selection and took great care of our party. Staff and management were outstanding. The hotel manager was constantly out on the grounds and beach talking to everyone and making sure their stay was great. Hands down, best location/island we have ever been to. Most hospitable resort, smallest and most comfortable. We are already planning our trip back next year.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Great time at Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort

Beautiful resort and beach, pleasant staff, good meals. Amazing diving, comfortable and equipped boats with terrific captains and divemasters. Loved our vacation at Infinity and look forward to returning again soon!
