Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

Beautiful resort with 4 pools (one for children) and many restaurants. Lots of beachfront but unfortunately lots of dark seaweed in water and along beach. Hotel made substantial effort to clean up beachbeach day butvseaweed was copious and relentless. Also lots of plastic garbage floating ashore. Food in all restaurants was excellent. Lots of events during day and in the evening. Rooms were excellent as was the service. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Needs improvement!

Well there’s good and bad ..... I will start with the good , the beach and ocean we’re beautiful ! Although the ocean was windy everyday it helped to keep you cool . The grounds needs work , they are working to improve and could have been caused by all the storms . New paint required in the actual rooms and hallways etc. now the bad or not so good ..... took almost 4 full days to get a hairdryer that worked ! No lights either the first night , and upon Che k in no towel allowed till after 4  [... read more]pm which doesn’t allow you to swim or use the beach etc !!! I mean really a towel ??? Come on ! The bedding is a motel quality and beds are hard ! TV only worked sometimes not a big deal but we do like a bit of tv before bed .Food wasn’t horrible and better than most Cuba hotels I’ve stayed in . We certainly didn’t starve to death . Careful of the ice cubes and salads etc as both my sister and I have been home a week almost and Cuba is still visiting us if you know what I mean ! To end on a positive note the staff and people in general are lovely and certainly do try to make your stay as nice as possible with what they have ..... which is t a lot compared to us Canadians so grateful for their efforts.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Would definitely go there again

We went here on a last minute vacation. Our travel agent Heather suggested we try this place and it didn't disappoint. To be able to do an A La Carte every night if you want was awesome, and the food selection at the buffet was amazing not to mention that the lines weren't bad at all. The service there was top notch, we had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and they immediately sent a bell boy and moved rooms for us! Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Good Resort

The staff were ok and the hotel and rooms were clean mostly the grounds were well manicured, the caffateria was loud and rather disorganized and the shower in our room was not working properly along with the hair dryer, there were no bathrooms close to the beach and toilet paper seemed to be at a premium. The bed was unacceptable and the pillows were rediculous, and the fan above our bed was in need of a cleaning as there was a large amount of dust on the blades. Playa Vista Azul: Great resort!

We loved our week at ocean Azul. It was a beautiful, clean resort with great service. The infinity pool is so beautiful as are the beaches. Food was so-so, always something to find though. We really enjoyed our breakfast and lunch at the privilege restaurant. Dinner was a little dicey and had to go to the buffet after a couple of the a la cartes. No one went hungry though and overall we loved it! Would recommend.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Amazing staff

This was my first trip to CUBA. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The food was ok, but there wasn't enough choices. The buffet was small and very limited. The build your own stations were pretty good, although you had to wait in some long lines. The a la carte restaurants were pretty bad. The selection of food at the 24 snack bar was skimpy. At times, your only choice was a ham and cheese sandwich. The entertainment and games were good however they got boring quickly. Song an [... read more]d dance numbers every night and at the pool side. They were very talented but I woukdve liked more interactive shows. Otherwise, the resort was clean and although there were many problems with our rooms the first day, staff were quick to fix the issues or move people around if needed. The bar had a very limited selection and often ran out of my favourites. They had no diet soda which was disappointing. All in all, we had fun but I don't think I would return to this resort.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Not Bad...

We stayed at this resort Feb 9-16. It was clean and seemed updated. Drinks were strong and the beech beautiful. Our room was missed being cleaned twice. The lighting at night needs to be improved on the walk ways. Food as expected and could be highly improved. Always able to get a chair and nice to have someone at the beech to help with this. Not much to do a night other than the shows.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great time!!

We traveled with 15 people and stayed at the resort February 8th to 15th 2018. Upon arriving we did have a few issues with our rooms the front desk quickly fix that. The food was good. Especially when hearing Cuba was the worst for food, but I didn't find it terrible and I can be picky at times. The entertainment was great the staff were excellent. The beach was gorgeous and clean, the grill was amazing. The resort was clean my only complaint would be the amount of cigarette butts on the gro [... read more]und due to lack of ashtrays around the resort. I would stay here again.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great Resort

We've been to Cuba many times but this was our first time staying at Ocean Varadero El Patriarca. We were very pleased with the accommodations ~ the room was very clean, comfortable and our Housekeeper was AWESOME. Having arrived during their Winter season (mid January) the temperature was a bit cooler than we expected but still better than shoveling snow back home... The beach wasn't the greatest as they had just e [... read more]xperienced a cold front with winds that caused the tides to wash the sand out to sea but by mid week of our stay, we were able to enjoy that area, thanks to the hard work of staff working tirelessly to restore it. Buildings are laid out very well ... all close to the pool, beach, buffet and restaurants. The Staff members were all so friendly and accommodating. We plan on returning to this resort ... hopefully again this year.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: A little too new for my tastes.

Although I enjoyed my stay at Ocean Casa Del Mar, I found that the landscaping was not mature enough for my liking. I would prefer a resort with more mature trees and landscaping to give it a more cooling effect. The ocean breezes were lovely, and the ocean was magnificent as always. The room was wonderful, although we couldn't quite figure out the air conditioner; it was either too cold, or if we shut the system off, it was too warm. The view was nice from our balcony. The main buffet dining room had lots to offer, along with fresh prepared food. Entertainment at all meal times was an unexpected bonus. Staff at all restaurants were friendly and helpful. I think the staff at the Riso, lobby bar were a little disappointed in us. We are not heavy alcoholic drinkers and we did not continuously order drinks there. Mike's Coffee was more our style. We arrived very late on Sunday morning (2:00 a.m.), but the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Again, it was an enjoyable stay.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great Beach

The Beach made up for what the hotel room lacked. The bedding was not great, the hair blower didn't work, electrician had to be called multiple times because lighting didn't work, but the beach was excellent with soft white sand and warm clear water. staff was very kind but very weak English. When I had to wait for my room to be ready they couldn't understand that I wanted a beach towel for example and had to spend 3 hours without a beach towel. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Friendly resort

Very friendly atmosphere, amazing people, room is big and spacious, food is great, we had the best massage ever , showtimes is good, but not enough time to dance.The beach is nice, unfortunately water was dirty with seaweeds.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Nice resort

Ocean Casa del Mar is a great hotel, new and very clean. Food is good specially fish. Many restaurants and bars. Finally very quiet resort, but it was pretty windy. Beach is one of the best I have ever seen.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Highly Recommend This Place

Clean, beautiful resort with helpful, friendly and happy staff. Too bad the bank machine didn't work all week. I would have tipped more if I had cash in my pocket. The beach is fantastic, the water warm. Walked for miles past other resorts on pure white sand. Some people should rethink their decisions to wear string bikinis though.

Ocean Maya Royale: Excellent service...small well maintained resort

Recommend this resort Great staff ,good food,clean rooms no complaints Special restaurants excellent good food great service Only issue not a great beach at times piano bar crowded and noisy On checking in had to pay a Federal tax ( $18 US ) which had not been communicated to us by West Jet..

The Ocean Casa Del Mar is all you can expect! Great room accommodations, beautiful grounds, variety of restaurants and great buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner. The entertainment is great. The staff is very friendly andhelpful. Overall we had an amazing time. I would definitely go back 😍

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Absolute Perfection

The Ocean Coral & Turquesa was absolute perfection from the time we arrived to the day we said goodbye.  Our stay was the week of Feb 5th to 12th, 2018 and I miss it already! This resort exceeded all of our expectations!  The food was fantastic, the property was stunning, the service was impecable and the rooms were spotless! From the buffet to the al a carte menus, there is no possible way to go hungry as the variety was endless. Our room was the not the privilege but the sapphire club option. We could not use the privilege restaurant or privilege beach area, but it included use of the privilege pool, wine on arrival in the room, slippers and bathrobes, and very large spotless suite. The 4 pools were very clean and refreshing, you could choose a different one depending if you wanted the activities or quiet and relaxing. They have plenty of lounging options so always a space available. The beach was beautiful and well cared for with grooming done all the time. Plenty of lounge chairs and palapa's for everyone including beach service for drinks. The service from the resort is extremely unique as there is not one area of service that is lacking in attention to detail and the staff go above all to make your stay the best possible.  Thanks to all at the resort, we will definitely be back for sure!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Wonderful resort

Wonderful resort, best food we have had yet, multiple pools to find what you are looking for, staff is excellent. Could always find a seat at any of the pools or the beach. There are timeshare people every morning outside the buffet and in the lobby, but if you tell them you are leaving that day they will leave you alone.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Times are changing

this hotel is in very good shape it's situated almost at the end of the peninsula , grounds are well manicured we had a pretty good location Bungalow 13 second floor room 1325 and facing the back towards wild trees fairly quiet. Our check in process was quick Milena was very efficient had our room keys and map in our hands in less than 10 minutes, we exchanged our Canadian Dollars right at the front desk got $72 pesos for $100 Can. meanwhile they had a sign that said $76 pesos for $100 Can. I [... read more] pointed that out to them and I was told that it's a requirement from the bank to post the rate but they charged a different rate I guess its a commission or as she put it we would have to pay $5 pesos each to get on a bus and get to the bank and get that rate Our bell boy gave us a tour of the facilities while driving us to our room which was unexpected and a nice touch. I got short changed twice at the place where you would by the Internet Cards for WiFi and once at the smoke shop I'm sensing a pattern here. Our house keeper Emma was very good and polite always had a different pattern arrangement for the towels. The food at the Ranchon Playa where they only opened for lunch was not that good I would say below average for Cuban standards,also the buffet is getting tired of the same old things everyday for lunch and dinner was the same 3 types of fish and 3 types of meat that they could cook for you on the hot plate,the steam tables were no different always the same, my wife and I did like the rabbit stew and we had that twice, we tried the Italian and Oriental twice each and they were better than the average although I must say that they sell you a white meaty fish by the name of Fogonero for Salmon, I'm not sure why they do that. The section of the beach that this hotel is situated was below average it was not a gradual entry into the water as it had a one foot drop and you need to wear water or beach shoes as the entry points are full of stones also not enough palapas for everyone, we went once to the pool as we are not pool people,our booking agent Jenn was very efficient over all it was better than staying at home where they had snow every day and freezing rain for the seven days that we had sun

First impression's count. Samuel Flores Gonzales at reception was excellent - efficient and very personable.. The buffet restaurant Amaranto for really good. Excellent food selection. The captain of the buffet Ricardo Valdes is so nice,helpful,professional and on the ball.It was really a pleasure to relate to him on all levels. Manuel Mtz and Hilario work very hard also to make your stay enjoyabledeee. We really enjoyed the Steak House and Italian. Entertainment - the Circus and Fire shows [... read more] were the best.Hector Fuentes from the entertainment team deserves a special recommendation. A great personality and very engaging. Notables- Executive Chef Alan truly in command of the hotel. It was funny seeing him riding his bike away from beach restaurant. The beach restaurant has the best pizza. Chef Alan and sous chef Ricardo and their team put on a super bowl extravaganza. We will be revisiting this hotel.
