Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Serenade Delivers

My wife recently returned from a fabulous week at the Serenade All Suites, Adults Only resort in Punta Cana. This is a new, modern, beautiful, and very well-maintained resort. Rooms are large and offer everything you need. The resort offers a large beach with great walking, and 3 large pools inn a beautiful setting. Ocean swimming is somewhat limited but not an issue. Service was fast at restaurants and the overall staff at the resort was top notch. Understand that many of the staff speak mostly Spanish so cut them some slack and all is good! This was one of the best vacation experiences we have enjoyed over the years. Also, a short trip from the airport, 15 minutes, which was nice. Overall, i would rate this resort as a B+ to an A.

Riu Republica: Average Resort

The rooms need some upgrades. We had issues with the shower not draining properly, the phone not working, and mold in the shower and room. Staff were somewhat able to assist but requests had to be repeated.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

This was our second stay at this resort and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. I was disappointed when we arrived as I had called ahead twice sharing that we were bringing two other couples for their first time and requested a building and to be all together. This didn’t happen unfortunately and they tried to separate us and the building we reheated was not available they said. After a long wait we didn’t manage to at least get in the same building. The food was great and service was good [... read more]. Few days not enough towels in room but we were able find some. My son dealt with our butler on behalf of all of us which was Jose. He was wonderful and went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved the beach bags waiting for us upon our arrival ! They were well used and appreciated !

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Bad Choice

It was a typical basic resort, food,room,entertainment I definetly wouldn't refer anyone, no need to do sunclub save your money, couldn't find a representive at all, alot of locals, plently of hot water to shower and over flowing toilets, weather was good, the only bonus was no towel deposit.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Exceptional trip dimmed by subpar trip advisor

The resort's commitment to excellence, coupled with its breathtaking surroundings, made our stay truly unforgettable. While our experience with Trip Central may have been disappointing, our time at Melia Caribe was nothing short of exceptional.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Great trip

Just back from a 7 day stay and very satisfied with many aspects. The service was first class, the resort was on the smaller size which made it very easy to get to all areas. Restaurants were very good with good selections of entrees. The beverages were excellent and I have to send a special thank you to Roberto who took care of us at the pool bar. All and all I would recommend this hotel to everyone especially seniors because of the easy access to everything.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Disappointed

The check in experience was horrible, they could not find our booking, we arrived at 1030 and didn't get a room until 4am and they insisted we pay again because they could not find our booking even though we had all the proof to show we booked. We do not advise booking with trip central, we emailed in advance because we were worried , the resort could not find our booking, we were asking for something special for an anniversary, spoke to our travel agent and she assured us everything would be fi [... read more]ne, which it in fact was not. So that was frustrating because we tried to resolve this before arriving and the travel agent didn't intervene. Resort was way too big, the food was ok, my partner and i both got food poisoning. Overall disappointing

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Booking nightmare

The grounds and resort is very pretty, extremely large and a long walk from lobby to room and room to beaches and pools like 20 to 30 minutes long. We were a group of 30 for a wedding 3 couples didn't have rooms /booking not found by resort , we waited/ fought for 5 hours then we had to put the rooms on our visa and fight with our agent to confirm our booking. The people at lobby for bookings have NO idea who are in rooms. They gave us rooms that had people in them . Couldn't book a la carte as [... read more] our names weren't the couple showing up in our room . Every couple had to run several time to lobby to re- activate their key cards. The resort did compensate us with Level bracelets for our troubles. Some of the rooms are run down some had no hot water, some no air conditioning, some mirror fell off in bathroom, unable to lock patio doors, the bridal couple was stuck on second level in a double bed and shower only while the rest of the group had family rooms on main level with king size bed and jacuzzi tub. Some couple in our group got the wedding package and champagne delivered to their room with desert, not the bridal couple. For booking 8 months in advance you would think k they would have kept the group together in one building instead they scattered our 17 rooms all over in individual buildings, there wasn't any of us that was in same buildings. Will never book Melia again and the staff on resort very nice and friendly but you need to train the booking staff as none knew what they were doing. Even down to the supervisor juon no clue who was in what room and took 1 whole day to change the bridal couple to a new room and give the group their level bracelets. I have never seen such an unorganized resort but beautiful its a shame the staff is giving this resort a very bad name. More training !!

The hotel was nice, the staff was always available to answer an questions or help. Wished that there was more options for people with intolerance to gluten. We liked the Vietnamese restaurant out of the three restaurants available. Rooms

Riu Republica: Riu Replublica

The hotel grounds were well taken care of. The entertainment was delightful. The food was average. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the excessive drinking made for very messy times. They seemed to not care about public drunkenness nor did they appreciate their surroundings.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful resort. Second time staying there.

Beautiful grounds - well maintained Spacious rooms, but do not like the open bathroom set-up. Prefer a closed wall and door for privacy Every part of resort kept clean and tidy, especially washrooms Butler was very friendly and helpful Always seem to be issues with other guests placing items on Bali beds and chairs to claim them and do not use them for hours. Is there any solution? Unfair to other guests

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: My Happy Place ??

This was my 2nd visit to Ambar and it was even better than the 1st. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained, the food is delicious, the staff are amazing and they all work so hard. The main pool is so much fun and the beach is beautiful. The only issue i have had both times is there is not enough loungers (or selfish people are holding extra ones) and not enough huts for shade on the beach. Riu Palace Macao: New Favorite Resort

Beautiful resort.The size is perfect.Everything is close by.The beach is very spacious with tons of beautiful palm trees so shade or sun is available.Loads of lounges and tables too.Rooms were spacious and kept clean.Any questions or concerns were looked after quickly.The staff is amazing and very friendly.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Bahia Principe Bavaro Grande Review from a First Timer

Room we checked into was musty smelling, didn't have hot water and the patio door would not lock. We asked to change rooms and were accommodated in our request although it took and bit of back and forthing and coming back later to pick up the key when the rooms was ready. Ground were beautiful, the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. Even those who were selling excursions and trinkets were polite and not pushy. I believe that the confusion and congestion would have been better managed if the coordinator was able to provide instructions and call out the ready orders in English. Through it all and there were many frustrations expressed by the waiting customers, the staff was pleasant and professional.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Best so far

An excellent week with great beach and best food so far in the many resorts I’ve been to. Minor glitch was handled quickly and appropriately. Easily met many new acquaintances from all over the US. Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful.

Occidental Punta Cana: Good time with friends

Nice sized resort Lots of chairs but minimal shade at pools and beach Always found something to eat at buffet Ala Carte's OK Room recently renewed Property well kept Mini bar restocked daily Overall lack of service in restaurants and buffets Resort was full capacity

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!

We just returned from Sunscape Coco Punta Cana. The grounds were beautiful. The beach is nice, however there was a lot of sea debris everyday which was raked away most of the time. The food is excellent in both buffets and all the ala cartes. Italian and Japanese were the best. The staff goes above and beyond and are all really friendly. We paid a little extra to be in Sun Club. Recommend this upgrade 100%. Entertainment was also really good.

Riu Republica: Great time!

The resort had a lovely ambiance and was really well manicured! I liked that the “a la carte” restaurants were first come first serve, so we didn’t have to book in advance, and could visit these restaurants multiple times as opposed to having buffet dinners. The Spanish, “kulinarium” and Indian restaurants were all really good. The Spanish restaurant was by far our favourite, with Spanish style tapas for appetizers, and 3 entrees to choose from. Friendly and attentive servers/bartenders really helped enhance the experience. With so many different pools, it was diverse, there was definitely one pool that was more of a “party vibe” but it was easy to find a more quiet corner to relax and read poolside in. I read a lot of reviews about the room cards not working, but if you just keep it separate from your cell phone it isn’t a problem. Wifi signal was strong all over the resort, even by the beach, which was a nice touch. The room was cleaned daily mid afternoon, and always felt clean and fresh afterwards. The mattress was very firm but personally, that’s my preference. There was only 3 pillows and they were really thin, but maybe we could have had more if we asked, we didn’t try. Also lack of blankets, again we probably could have asked for more though just didn’t bother.

Occidental Caribe: Breathtaking views

Resort is beautiful and well maintained. Food is amazing at breakfast, ok at lunch then suppers were great at the buffet. Pizza place is amazing above the snack bar. The ocean and beach is so clean and breathtaking! Loved my time here.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Second time staying at Majestic Elegance and it was perfect as usual!

Everything was perfect as usual. Will be returning again! Grounds are well maintained and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and will be back again soon! Our butler and maid were excellent.
