Caribe Deluxe Princess: Awesome vacation

Everything was great. Our room was lovely, the food at the buffet was always delicious, the specialty restaurants we tried were very good, the pools great, the staff very accommodating, beach/ resort very clean. Love everything.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice resort if you like walking

We stayed on the El Beso side of Ocean El Faro in April . The Management staff were phenomenal at accommodating our requests and we were able to get an end unit swim up suite in building 17 and they even had champaign waiting for us to help us celebrate our anniversary. This is a nice resort but we did run into a few issues, however, they were not significant enough to ruin the vacation. Pros: - Having a swim up suite was a huge bonus! We loved enjoying the pool from the comfort of our own r [... read more]oom -The al la cartes were great, especially Sakura -Lots of entertainment, but most of the evening entertainment was at the front lobby -Room service was good and it was available until 11 for everyone ( I believe it is 24 hours if you upgrade to privledged) -Staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff were great at getting everyone to participate in activities! -Large rooms with huge beds -The Pez Dama restaurant was great! Because it was only available to El Beso guests, it was never busy. -Lots of pools plus a lazy river that was a lot of fun! Bonus points for having a pool bar attached to the lazy river!! -I felt very safe at this resort -Mikes coffee shop was great, especially their specialty drinks and smoothies. They also have a great selection of pastries -Never had an issue finding water. There were Water coolers at the bars and Mikes and the fridge was always stocked. The staff will bring extra water if you request it. Cons - Not sure is this is unique to this resort but the price of items at the resort store were outrageous! 2 bags of chips were $18 USD and Sunscreen was around $40 USD! -LOTS of walking!! This was a con for us but may be great for others. I think it bugged me more because I hurt my foot just before our trip so the hike to the front was difficult, especially in the heat -Lack of shuttles... most large resorts have shuttles that will circle around so you never wait long but we rarely saw them. You could call and request one but you would have to wait outside and depending on how busy they are, it might take awhile. -The pools were great but they were very cloudy when we arrived. The staff did treat the pools including the swim ups the day after we arrived but that caused algae to sink to the bottom of our swim up and it took another day and a half to get it vacuumed. -This is the dampest room we have stayed in. I think the higher rooms are ok but if you are on a main floor, there is a lot of moisture which actually made the bedding damp. This was by far not a deal breaker but it was a little uncomfortable but we got used to it by the third day and never really noticed it after that. -The resort beach is rocky (giant slabs of rock) and very rough. We hardly ever saw anyone swimming while we were there. There is a lagoon which was actually closer to our building (17) then the resort beach and it was STUNNING! Lots of folks just went over there to swim, it was calm and clear. Overall: I did like this resort and I think it is great for anyone without mobility issues. We would probably not return because we found it difficult for us to participate in a lot of the activities due to my foot injury and the distance between our room and the main lobby. It is a very beautiful resort and the staff are great, especially Ermin (bellboy)- he really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. The food overall is decent (but somewhat limited selections at times) and we were always able to fill our plates. The desserts are Amazing! This resort also had the perfect mix of quiet areas and loud, entertaining areas. Although we won't be returning, I would recommend it to others depending on what they are looking for.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Nice resort

The place was clean, the staff could be a bit nicer. Food was good but restaurants needed to be booked early, so difficult to get into them. The food at restaurants were much better than buffet. The grounds and beach was amazing.

Riu Republica: Riu republica - Punta cana

This adults only resort is quite lovely but very big. The staff and service was excellent. Lots of pool options and magnificent beach. The rooms are dated but very clean. Bed very comfortable. The evening entertainment was lots of fun but there is excessive partying happening all day so a bit noisy and music was too loud to enjoy at times. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort! We'll be back!

Everything was very good about this resort. The a la cartes were so good. Grounds were nicely kept, personmel were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing would be the housekeeping wasn't up to par. Mainly the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. But other than that, everything was great.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Amazing resort!

The room was quite large and updated. Mini fridge restock with water, beer and soda everyday. Ground are super clean and looked after. Beach huge and cleaned every day, aerobic , daily activities on the beach every single day. A la carte quite nice, tried only three as buffet was great. Would come back for sure.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Everything for everyone

The Barcelo is a huge resort, our section the Bavaro beach adults only was perfect for people looking for a relaxing vacation. Small and convenient, everything was a short walk, pool, beach, buffet and bar.The rooms were in three storey bungalows that were clean comfortable a little dated but no issues. The food was tasty and lots of variety in the buffet. The pool, beach and ocean were great, chairs were usually available unless you arrived later. Staff were friendly and accommodating, I would have no problems returning there for another vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Truly Amazing complex

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very big complex, the staff were very friendly and open. Pool was kept clean, and the grounds beautiful. Plenty of food at the buffets and at the al carts. Entertainment at night was amazing, shows, music. The beach where we stayed was not what we expected. The door keys need an upgrade along with the TV. A little more explanation as to use the wiffi log in, but managed All in all I'd go there again, maybe try the Amber

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Beautiful resort.

Lovely rooms with a large balcony and lots of storage. Beds were comfortable but pillows could use to be replaced. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Lots of choice for restaurants. Buffet was terrific but only open for breakfast and lunch and for dinner it shifted over to the family side (ziva) which was noisy and really catered to kids. Most of the entertainment was shared with the ziva side. Nightly shows were at the theatre in between the two hotels. Not much entertainment  [... read more]on the Zilara side. The beach is gorgeous and huge. The water is calm as there appears to be a break wall further out.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Perfect Vacation!

We loved everything. So much for the entire family to do. Lots of food from around the world. The staff worked so hard and were so kind. Very clean and set up well. Highly, highly recommend to anyone.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful and so clean

The resort is huge but has a beautiful adult only pool. There are 2 buffet restaurants for breakfast and lunch and if you don't reserve a la carte restaurants for dinner, you are dining at the buffets for dinner as well. The food at the buffets and the a la carte's is mediocre. The staff is super nice.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: A wonderful family holiday!

This resort was a fantastic breakaway for our family. The resort was very kid-friendly and had loads of activities every day for our boys to enjoy including obstacle courses, bouncy castles, larger than life sized transformer robots, pirate shows, etc. etc. etc. The resort also offers childcare services for children with fun activities scheduled every day. The pools and beaches were beautiful and very well maintained. Secrets Cap Cana: BETTER THAN EXPECTIED!!!!

Just returned from a fabulous week at Secrets Cap Cana (March 25-April 1). Have to say it was better than I read in reviews!!! From the moment of arrival to departure, all was wonderful. Great layout of facilities, clean everywhere - resort, beach, rooms, restaurants. Enjoyed the fact that you had the option to outdoor dine at ALL restaurants.....breakfast, lunch and dinner! Location is great...only about 15-20 minute drive from airport. I booked an ocean front room. The view was spect [... read more]acular!!!! The rooms are large, spacious and always kept clean...thank you to all housekeeping staff! Every restaurant and buffet staff were friendly and most attentive. Special shout out to Hostesses Keila and Jolain at the Seaside Lunch Grill. The ladies remembered me from day 1 and were professional, kind and and friendly! Also, my friendly waiter, Joel who also was very helpful at the French restaurant at night! and shout out to Johann and Yasmin at the Italian Restaurant. They made my dining experiences most special! Really have to say all staff were great! The breakfast buffet was very extensive! Includes plenty of options for everyone and well prepared! Even had an Eggs Benedict station and Motts Clamato juice for Ceasars!!! The hostesses at breakfast buffet were very helpful too as well as all wait staff. ALWAYS, staff would address you as "Mr. or Mrs." then your last name as there were place cards on your table when seated that noted your last name. Just gave it that little extra personal touch! Well done! The beach, well what can I say! BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN!!!! nice that there is some sort of break wall out aways which allows for swimming without a lot of waves or currents! Excellent stretch for walking! Lots of chairs and covered palapas and always plenty of towels to grab. The beach service was better than ever had! Eribal, my waitress was fabulous on all levels! She even had a white flag system for her guests to wave if service was required! Always a kind friendly lady and excellent service...THANK YOU!!!! No wristbands at this resort! Most days there was some sort of lunch cooking on the beach...but if you wanted restaurant food, they would take your order and bring to you directly on the beach! Drinks well poured and top shelf liquors. Always entertainment in afternoon and evenings around the resort in various areas. Upon arrival, after check in, I was assigned a butler for the week...a kind helpful gentleman named Alexander. He was of great assistance! from any question or concern, 24/7....he was available to assist! All was taken care of by him! I would receive a message each day giving me information for the day and he would be around to see me at least once daily! A very knowledgeable, professional, friendly gentleman!! A huge THANK YOU Alexander and wish you continued success at Secrets! I celebrated my birthday while away and Alexander along with other staff made it a happy memorable day....thanks again to all staff. Really can't complain about a thing!! I highly recommend this resort. As someone who has travelled for decades visited many countries and resorts, I can say this is a new favorite and plan to return again!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great resort.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Blue and Sand. Our rooms were perfect. The resort is kept very clean, staff are efficient and friendly. Food was very good in all areas we went to.Having the trolley available was convenient also although it is not a long distance from one end to the other it was good to have at times. Beach was wonderful.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Amazing resort!

VIK Arena Blanca did not disappoint! Beautiful resort, clean and safe! Plenty of space on the beach, even with the erosion. Anyone who complains about the lack of beach should just sit back and revel in the beauty and tranquility of the ocean. Stunning views. There was no pressure, at this resort, to partake in anything other than what you wanted to. We had an oceanfront room and my oh my it was spectacular. If I had one complaint it would be a bit of a lack of communication. Eg; we did not kn [... read more]ow where to reserve our spot for the Friday night steak & lobster dinner. Sign was posted to make a reservation but didn't say where, and not one of the staff we asked knew where we should go. As well, we were not told about the "energy saver" re A/C, in the room (have to put your room key in the slot for it to work properly) Found out the very last day from a post on FB! So all in all a fabulous vacation, they just need a bit more communication Also, fantastic friendly staff!

Ocean El Faro: Great girls week away at the Ocean El Faro!!

This hotel was beautiful. The workers above reproach. Service was impeccable. The pools, especially the lazy river, were great. Although the hotel beach was very rocky and, in my opinion, not somewhere safe to swim, the public lagoon attached/beside the resort beach more than made up for it. Stayed on the El Beso side....food was great. never made it to Sakura (the Japanese restaurant), and was not impressed with the Italian restaurant, but Blue Moon, El Peso, El Marchado..the burger place  [... read more]beside the lazy river and Mike coffee house....all amazing. My overall for my stay is 8 out of 10 (and only because we lost AC halfway through the week and the room was hot)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: The very best resort

Bahia Principe Ambar wowed us right away from the lobby straight down the pathway to the rooms, the pool and the beach. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and so clean. The pool is amazing with its waterfalls and swim up bar and awesome entertainment crew. The beach is perfect for a long walk and the ocean is perfect for swimming when you want to enjoy some waves and a little time away from the pool.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: needs help

the gardens and restaurants were good.the main pool bottom was patchy and moldy.tge lazy river pool had mold along the top.my chest was covered in green when I leaned on it. the food was just okay at best. the rooms looked tired

I would recommend this resort: clean, well maintained, good food, excellent service friendly respectful staff nicely maintained grounds; only drawback was it did not have full access; travelling with a walker could not access french and italian restaurants nor could I access the VIP restaurant dos palmas as the stairs and mini ramp were too steep; otherwise no complaints
