Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Totally enjoyable resort

We really enjoyed our stay at El Portillo We have travelled to many locations and this is one of the best. Beautiful rooms , very clean grounds and never long lines at the bars or at dinner. Food was above average and the entertainment staff were very friendly We told our family about it and my daughter has decided to have her wedding there next May. Caribe Deluxe Princess: Great vacation

Great resort, the staff was always very friendly and helpful, clean rooms, always beach and pool chairs available, the beach is amazing, food was great. Very close to the airport. Nightly entertainment was great.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Our Favorite

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It is very compact to walk around, and restaurants are situated on the beach front, along with the pool. The food was extremely good. Our room was a lovely main floor, quiet corner unit, surrounded by beautiful greenery.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Beautiful resort.

Great Beach location. Sand a little gritty compared to Punta Cana, but great to walk on. Great for swimming . Hotel was very nice, clean and food great. Staff very co-operative and spoke great English.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Beautiful site & excellent service!

Hotel grounds were impeccably kept. Staff were super friendly and happy and not pushy at all. Gabriel is an amazing asset to this hotel - truly cares about guest experience. Food was mediocre Beach was disappointing - would give this a 5 if the beach was good. Strange that beach & pool are together on this rating form (below) - pool was great!

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Pretty Setting with Good Value

The grounds were kept up nicely with plenty of flowers and greenery. The three pools were kept clean and the main pool had music playing for added entertainment. Our room faced the ocean, however, it was in need of updating (grungy grout in the bathroom, for example). The buffet fare was not satisfactory and only a breakfast omelette proved tasty from there. The beach ad [... read more]jacent to the resort was better and a pleasant place to soak your troubles away in the sea. Entertainment was mediocre and bar drinks were limited and fair at best. The resort's location is good, as it's right in the town of Sosua where one can easily walk around and enjoy local shopping and dining. The resort is a good choice if you have a small budget and aren't at all fussy about the quality of food, drink or entertainment.

Nice , clean and friendly . Would go back in a heart beat . I love playa dorada . Love Dominican .good food , nice people, nice rooms, the playa dorada strip is such a nice place , I have been there 6 times. So many good times , staff is great.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

Hotel was clean, service was excellent and the food was so yummy! We loved the variety of food options and the different themes each night! We thoroughly enjoyed lobster night! And eating at the Japanese a la carte restaurant. The customer service was exceptional! Beach and grounds were beautiful. I have nothing negative to say! It was a trip to celebrate my 40th birthday and it was the most memorable vacation! Thanks trip central for assisting us in finding a great resort to stay!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Best vacation!

I went to this resort in June 2013 with my boyfriend. It was our first vacation together and it was amazing. The room was nice, big and clean. We had it cleaned everyday with our fridge being restocked as well. The food is better than what I expected. The beach was amazing. Also, having private access to ambar's section but being able to go to all the other grand bahias was definitely a plus! The only downside id say is that the service was a bit slow. Would still love to go back anytime!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Wonderful Resort

We just loved the Esmeralda. The service and food was great. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. We loved the location of the Esmeralda it was close to the beach and you after dinner you could walk to the other resorts which was wonderful. Loved the idea of the shopping center in the middle of the resorts. We would go back in a minute.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: good but too noisy

Overall it is ok, if you placed far from concert stage - otherwise too noisy, too crowded. Beach is very windy. 500 meters down (next bay) no wind at all. Once water had machine oil..locals explain that it was from river around..Do I care where oil came from? Biggest problem was wind.. impossible to stay on the beach because of blowing sand.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort lots of stuff for the kids to do

The grounds were wonderful, public areas were very clean, food was amazing the only one thing was the nightly entertainment we did not enjoy nightly shows they were horriable WOW for a 5 star hotel we did expected so much more

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Great Resort

Great hotel and even better staff. This was our 6th time at this resort. We continue to return because everything is consistent. Same faces and same great service. Grounds are very well kept. Rooms are a little dated but very clean, perhaps some upgrades are in order. Overall rated 5 star and in our opinion is a true 5 star.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: can't wait to go back

Easy relaxed check in. Rooms clean and bright. Eager to please staff. Food really great selection and quality. Book on the level side to have a quiet and relaxing pool time. People still try to sneak their kids into the much nicer pool area but security ushers them out quickly. Gym clean and air conditioned.
