Fiesta Americana Cozumel: Pleasant Stay - could use some slight changes

The hotel has been open a little more than a year since major renovation. The positives are the rooms are large airy and ours had two balconies complete with a hammock, two bathrooms and a mini-bar. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice white and newer. In the lobby are some basket style hanging chairs which are quite nice. The negatives are the hotel lobby furniture is oversized and lacking good pillows to allow them to be comfortable, not as inviting as they look. This hotel only ha [... read more]d one local artisan come in during our stay and was not really appealing to most guests. I would suggest bringing in some local talent to sing or other locals to display their wares (jewellery, paintings, carvings or Mexican blankets and such). We saw lots of local things when we toured off the resort, it seems like it would be easy to get locals to bring their products to sell at the resort. In all our of stays, we never saw a hobbi cat in the water, which would have been quite nice and it seems that the fish have migrated more towards the Money Bar than in previous visits. If the resort puts some clay pots in the ocean like at the Money Bar I am sure the fish sightings would be amazing. Currently unless you are near the boat dock, the fish are not as plentiful as in the past. Overall this is a nice resort, however if you are night lift seeker this is not the place for you as most evenings are quiet and if there is entertainment it is usually done before 11 pm.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing Akumal

Hotel has a warm & intimate feel. Never crowded. Excellent location, right on the beach. No problem finding shelter from the sun - no need to head down early to reserve a palapa. Snorkelling right off the resort, even better a short walk down the beach toward Akumal. A la carte restaurants are excellent and no need to reserve early although be prepared to wait 30-40 minutes on occasion (can grab a drink a nearby lounge). Buffet is good, not great. Definitely an older clientele (50-65). Entertainment was good - nightly live music offered in main bar. Possibly a bit tame for younger guests. Enjoyed fitness facility and yoga classes are offered for almost any level.

Posada Real Los Cabos: comfortable resort

Clean resort with friendly staff. Good service with adequate buffet style dining. Nice beach area, great for walking. Good nightly entertainment except for Karaoke night which was more like comedy night.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Great resort

Beautiful grounds,wonderful friendly staff & service,food great,rooms clean and nice,enough beach chairs,beach pretty,coffee bar excellent.The pools were very clean and the lazy river was a lot of fun.Alacart restaurants were excellent.Lots of bars and fast service.Did not find the walking distances too far.

Crown Paradise Club: Very nice resort

After reading all the negative reviews we had reservations about this resort but we were pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Room was very clean, and spacious, resort kept very well, food was good, al la cartes were excellent! everything is so close within steps of the beach, our room was ocean view, what more can you ask. The adult swim up bar hot tub and pool was a favourite of ours and of course the beach. Great vacation will definitely go back!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Resort

The Resort was great, the food was good, entertainment was excellent, the beach was poor due to the rocks and corral . It could have been cleaned up and added more sand so that swimmers could swim in it.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing wish we would have had two weeks

The resort is beautiful we have no complaints can't wait to go back. Food drinks and service for second too none.next time I may stay at Akuma closer to beach. The hacienda was fabulous lots of shopping. Excursion to ruins and Playa del Carmen excellent.we went to gourmet italian and brazillian restaurants delicious. Rooms beautiful and clean next time first or second floor third floor two many stairs for bad back but I survived. Excellent excellent excellent Thankyou Diana pongetti

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beyond Expectations!!!!!!

Our recent stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal was beyond our expectations. The resort was huge and luxurious, not to mention that you have access to the Sian Khan, Tulum and Coba. The a la carte dinners were delicious and you have buffet breakfast, lunches, dinners and snack bar (24 hours a day). The daily entertainment was offered at each resort. Our beach was heaven. Water was clear and no sea weed in sight. The bar service was provided on the beach, poolside, lobby and your mini bar in  [... read more]your room. The grounds are meticulously maintained. We also visited a jewelry and taqueila factory and visited 5th Avenue in downtown Playa de Carmen, lots of shopping. Our experience is one we will never forget and definitely recommend it to everyone.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great service, but many faults.

Great service and great room. Food was good but 1 of the 4 restaurants was closed 8 of the 10 days there for wedding groups. The main pool is not heated and I could not use it, toooo cold. One last beef, I was on the third floor (actually 4th as they could floor zero as the first floor) and 48 steps to climb up, no elevators. This resort has steep stairs all over to get to main or adult pool. Not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues or baby carriages. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: GOT TO GO HERE

Definitely, pay the extra cost for a Penthouse suite with Jacuzzi on a private balcony!! Very nice. Butler service and room service all included, and a great perk!! Buffets(breakfast/lunch/dinner) all fabulous!! Premium drinks included.. Excellent service all around. Would book Bahia Príncipe again!!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: excellent resort

The Barcelo resort was fantastic! Overall experience was definitely a positive one! The Barcelo allowed us to engage in a variety of activities and helped us have a much needed relaxing vacation. I would definitely recommend is this resort to everyone!

The Bel Air: Good value

Only 1 bar open from 11 am until midnight. Beautiful presentation of meals,but very small menu. Service depending on the day, some very hard working employees, and some not so active. No entertainment at night.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Most enjoyable holiday!

We had a comfortable room and a great and tasty variety of food and drinks but the most enjoyable for me were the exercise classes in the pool each day. The Mexican fiesta on Friday night was also quite exceptional.

Canto Del Sol: A great resort

I have been many times to PV but this trip was very last minute so no picking and choosing, The resort was nice, lobby, lobby bar sitting area, the bathrooms by the lobby could use an update but they were functioning, 4 floor building we were on the 3 a view from every floor, our room didn't have a fridge (room service) and a balcony (we had wall to wall window that we opened) the was a disappointment but we adjusted but we had the VIEW which was great. Location was great close to the Mega store [... read more] and other smaller stores and walking distance to the Malecon if you can walk. Food was very good didn't try the al a carts the buffet restaurant was good for me very good, the snack bar restaurant by the beach was very good you can order by menu or eat what they had out. The pool area was good they have a closed off section for kids. All in all very good.

True that the beds are awful but that's the only complaint. They were very helpful and always asking for feedback. Food great. Snorkeling great. Great place for kids. Wonderful family vacation Would def go back

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Great resort

Beach is washed out but resort is well kept and suites are beautiful. Staff is always there to help with every need. Location is amazing right on 5th ave. good was great, selection of restaurants A+++

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great feel awesome staff!

Everything we experienced was amazing! The staff was great! All the upgrades were appricieted nothing went in noticed. The alacarte were a pleasant surprise.loved having the service in the beach. The cappuccino were awesome!

Riu Caribe Cancun: Wonderful Resort

Service was excellent. Grounds and beach beautiful. All public areas and public washrooms very clean. Pools a little chilly in February and difficult to get in and out of. Rooms comfortable, beds good and decent pillows. Staff wonderful and accommodating. Food was plentiful and very good.

Crown Paradise Club: Excelant Resort

All areas of the hotel were very well maintained.Rooms were clean. The buffet was very good with an exceptional variety, ate there for every meal. Service was excelant. Only issue was they should do something about the birds at the beach.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Quality resort!

I am very satisfied with my choice of resorts. The location of the hotel, quality of room, dining choices, and service from the management and staff were all top notch. An added free bonus were the turtles and snorkeling right near the hotel beach.
