Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Must go!

My husband and I decided to have a quick getaway from the cold Montreal weather and we are so happy we did! We were not dissapointed at all! Jenn Black made it so easy to communicate with her, all the arrangements were made prior to our arrival and it was honestly such a stress free week. The hotel was clean, the staff is amazing and there are plenty of accessible ruins near the hotel. Thanks for a great week!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Getting dated

Hotel is getting dated many rooms smell very molded ask to be change to a different room on the 3rd day they try to putting a air freshers in the ac vent to stop the smell of mold. Went to lunch to fine hamburger buns have KKK BURN INTO THE BUNS. ON FRIDAY TO SUNDAY THEY WOULD FILL UP THE RESORT with locals. Buffet was same food everyday and most food stations were empty monday to Friday but on the weekends they would make sure to have all kinds of food for the locals. Transit rep in the coba was no help and if you ask when would they be at the coba we were told they only come there if anyone checks in other wise they were at the other two hotels tulum or the other hotel. They jam you in vans with no concerns for covid.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very good resort

We spent our vacation at Luxury Bahia Principal Esmiralda in October 2021, very good positive impression, safe environment and very helpful staff, any questions they immediately react. We asked to print some documents and find emails with test results, very appreciate assistance. Very important for us that hotel doing tests on site, and results in 24 hours after.. Also food is good,,a lot of sea food, fruits vegetables and meat. Beach very clean and safe, every day they disinfect all equipments. [... read more] Room service very good. A lot of entertainment during day and night, we had chance to see beautiful shows at resorts around, especially lights show.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Renovated and Beautiful!

I changed my booking shortly after I booked at Tulum to Akumal because some friends were staying there but I regret not keeping my booking at Tulum! Tulum has been renovated and looks beautiful! Big bright signs all over the resort make it easier to navigate and find places like lobbies, restaurants and other amenities. The buildings themselves look newer as well as the balcony and doors. BRING water shoes! the rocks on the ocean floor are sharp and everywhere. The food is really good and lots of different variety. The hotel staff are all great, friendly and really helpful. If you have friends staying at Coba, they won't be able to use get drinks at Tulum, which was not the case before. We went in September and the resort was mainly empty except for weekends.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: We Had a Great Time

I came here with my partner for a week and we had a fantastic time. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. Our room was clean and well air-conditioned, which was important because there were some really hot days during our stay. The buffets were awesome, as well as the a la carte restaurants. The buffet to the left of the adult pool had all our favouite foods. The shuttle service around the other parts of the resort was efficient and frequent. The beaches were very nice and well maintained. Seaweed wasn't an issue either. Overall, we had an awesome time and met some great people. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent!

Staff and grounds are exceptional. I had no complaints. Was so happy here I extended my stay. The food was amazing and they accomodate your request willingly. Very professional management team that show accountabilty. Ambiance is outstanding. Full protocol for Covid in effect, temperature taken before entering restaurant and hands are santized. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice resort for a for a fair price

Over all it was a good stay at Bahia Principe. This is my 7th time staying here and it has improved every time I stay here. They were very strict on people wearing their masks while in the resort and all the staff are wearing one too. Staff are very friendly and polite. Rooms were clean and the beach is nice. Food is decent but not the best. U can go do almost all the usual excursions while there during the pandemic.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic time in Punta Cana

The resort was the Bahia Principe Ambar, it is adults only. The facilities are amazing, the beach is wonderful, the pool are is very new. They were very clean kept sanitation to a max, and were very cautious of COVID rules. I would come back to this resort. Amazing time !

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Suffered Resort

Only Tulum and Akumal sites were stayed open with about less than 50% of occupancy. All levels of hotel staffs felt this difficulty time and provide extremely friendly services. The A La Carte restaurants are improved greatly comparing with many past visits in recent years. The Buffer is not consistent as usual with less choice (due the less visits?). A lot more natives stayed in resort for a short stay and Christmas dinner seems opened to public with many locals to fill in. However, the local  [... read more]language speakers had advantages with the services in the food court as the servers in the kitchen area speaks little English. Much more drunks talked loud and played the music in the public areas through the mid of the night 1:30am to 5pm almost every night except the strong windy night. It was the biggest suffer for us despite we requested a quiet room. More young people played loud music with their own portable speaker in the quiet all adult area. There were no staffs ever interference with these activities. All COVID preventions were understandable and reasonable. The Akumal is remains as four-star resort.

Some Safety Measures The hotel took steps to insure our safety - all staff wore masks (often pulled down below their noses), served the buffet from behind glass, and took temperatures before entering the dining areas and required hand sanitizing. Servie The service and food was a bit disappointing... staff were overly pushy trying to sell us privilege memberships (total scam! ask about 18% interest for payments), and typical services like room service were not available - though after we  [... read more]talked with the Air Canada rep. they were re-instated. Hot water in the shower was very limited. We were told to run the taps in the sink and tub to make the water hot in the shower. This worked sometimes. Food Food in the buffet was unsatisfying... we made sandwiches often. There was a salad bar, make your own pasta, Jamaican fish and chicken, and whatever the theme was. Desserts looked beautiful but were flavourless and gelatinous. The a-la-carte restaurant was enjoyable, located in one building with a different menu each night. The servers were efficient and friendly. We loved the setting beside the ocean! Bookings were very limited. Air Canada offered us another a-la-carte meal (4 instead of 3 which came with the booking), and the resort upgraded our room for since it was our honeymoon and included a bottle of sparkling wine. Pool and Beach Pool was clean and attendants often sanitized the sun lounges which were spread a part. Some games and events did not happen during the week. There was a larger local crowd on the weekend and games and music took place. Beach is small but well maintained. The beach party one evening was a lot of fun with a fire performer and dancing game. Overall The Bahia in Tulum, Mexico is ten times better for the food, experience, beach and pool. Not sure if these changes were related to Covid... services and food were very limited. Booking with Air Canada was a good idea because the representative followed up for us at the resort.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Awesome location

Me and my wife were there the 3rd week of February, 2020. I read all kinds of review and I dont pay too much attention to them. We had a great time, great food and staff. Location perfect You make your vacation your own. Yes there was some construction but they work so few hours - we barely saw anything happening We have been at bigger resort with bigger buffets but this one was small and perfect. Quiet location Enjoy

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

The resort grounds are lush and well maintained. The rooms are large, comfortable and kept clean. Buffets have a great selection of foods to enjoy however getting table service for coffee and water at 2 of 3 of the buffet was a little lacking at breakfast and lunch. A-la-Cartes are plentiful and enjoyable.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

No complaints. Staff were excellent, food was delicious, and the resort was well maintained and clean. The beach was really nice, though very busy and hard to find a seat at times. Pools were amazing.

Hotel room, lobby, grounds and beach very nice! and clean! Access to local shops, nightly entertainment, sports bar and disco! 4 nice big pools in walking distance, access to 2 other resorts. Beaches absolutely beautiful! Buffet and restaurant right off the beach!

The grounds were really well kept, as were the rooms. Initially we got dropped off at the wrong lobby hotel which was slightly irritating but amazing trip overall. Buffet had lots of variety. Italian and gourmet restaurant were excellent!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Amazing Resort

Second time at this resort. No complaints. Great food, beautiful grounds and fantastic very very long beach. The resort is not too large, so you get to know all the employees. The entertainment team is amazing.

The resort was beautiful food was excellent everything on site was perfect except for the arrival. When we arrived at the hotel they told me they were expecting us on the 8 and not the 7 of March gave me a hard time I felt bullied by them. They gave me a room with three bed not what was on my paper since we reserved the castle front King bed. Went back down to explain this room was not what I paid for and we didn't see the castle at all. Then another man came and told me to come back the next day at two they would change my room. Went back at two no room come back at three he said came back at three still no room he says come back at 3:15 finally got a room still not what I paid we had a castle view King bed I accepted that room we felt tired of all this argument. They made the error instead of giving us a upgrade they made us fill like "shit". I told air Canada rep I'm not sure if he did something. Once this was resolve we really enjoyed all the staff on site all the activities the shows the food everything was perfect. It's a shame what we went through upon our arrival and I had Jonathan a 6 year old that was getting tired of waiting in front for our room

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome stay

This is my 4th stay and it did not disappoint! The room, junior suite was great and the king size bed was very comfortable. Our housekeeper did a super job. A few issues with the room, TV and air conditioning but they were addressed immediately and there was always a follow up call . Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort needs work

We went to the same resort 2 years ago with unfortunately the same week of bad weather. That's not the resorts fault at all. However this rain exposed the same lack of maintenance experienced 2 years ago. Every single time we used the toilet in our room, water would drip on you. Clearly a leak in the roof. The main dining room still showed the signs of water damage on the ceiling and the walls. There was a table up against the wall that had so much water damage it had black mould on it. The Algae was so bad it was thick and black- not green The 4 x 12 tiles running around the pool bar haven't been cleaned in a very long time. I could continue to go on with things that I saw. Needless to say after 2 very similar experiences 2 years apart we will not be returning to this chain of hotels- ever. Might I point out that this is supposed to be a 4.5 star hotel. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Trip !

Good: The resort and staff are very nice. Things were kept very clean. Bad: The air conditioning never worked in our room (97109). I spoke to at least 5 or 6 different people over the course of 3 days and it never really got it fixed. I finally talked to Francisco (building 97 butler) and he had someone look at it, but it still didn't work very well. We finally gave up asking because no one seemed to be able to fix the problem. Hard to find chairs at the beach and pool.
