Grand Bavaro Princess: Amazing

Everything about this resort was top notch. The a la carte bookings were very easy and unlimited, The rooms were great. The only recommendationd I would make is increase the hours of the Cappuciano Cafe in the evening. It would have made an excellent spot to enjoy a coffee after supper.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Excellenta

Great staff, never crowded, could always get a drink and a chair. Lots of a la carte restaurants Brazilian steakhouse and hibachi and le petite chef. Awesome bartenders ask for Gabriel. The rooms were very nice. Nice pools clean resort.

Grand Bavaro Princess: A Family Fun Week in Paradise

Last minute, Sandra Taylor, travel agent from Trip Central.ca, helped me plan an all inclusive package to The Grand Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana. This was a family holiday with my husband, daughter and 3 1/2 year old grandson. This resort exceeded our expectations! The whole resort was recently renovated during the pandemic. The rooms were spotlessly clean and fresh towels were available daily if you wanted. All the rooms are in three storey buildings which is really nice to not be in a high rise. Our building 42 is located in between the beach and the lobby. A trolley constantly runs between the beach and lobby but from our room it is a short 10 minute walk to either location. The park like grounds are immaculate! Peacocks and an assortment of ducks have free range on the property. The is also an ecological trail over a pond filled with turtles and ducks which delighted my grandson. The beautiful sandy beach is probably one of the nicest beaches in the world! Daily, we went for long strolls on beach and enjoyed jumping the waves with our grandson. The large pool and children’s pool are close to the beach. My grandson loved the slides and sprinklers in the children’s pool. We all enjoyed the large pool with daily entertainment at 4 pm. Both pools were clean and well maintained. There was a large variety of food at both the lobby and beach side buffets. The à la cart restaurants are all booked online which was challenging for me as I was trying to book 6 people from 3 three separate rooms. However, the kind gentleman at guest services services made the reservations for me. We found the food and service at all of the restaurants to be very good. Our only minor complaint was the spotty free wifi. This was problematic at times as the resort is basically paperless, menus, activities and excursions are all online. I did purchase data on our last day to ensure I would receive transportation to the airport and flight notifications. That was only one little glitch! My family had a most wonderful experience at this resort.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good Resort

Hotel was nice. Our room was on the modern side. Did hear alot of people complaining about mold in the older rooms and smelling musty. AC was out randomly thru out the resort. Definitely a lack of chairs and especially umbrellas. Pool area has spot where the concrete is starting to deteriorate. Lack of staff keeping the pool deck clean, limes from drinks scattered around, empty sunscreen bottles. Not convenient the way they do the reservations for the restaurants, you go the day you want the re [... read more]servation and book it, having to line up before 7am, so much for being on vacation. The rest of the restaurants are first come first serve. Never experienced this before, some of the waiting times where an hour or more. I think its so much easier and convenient to book all the el la cartes at once. Food and drinks were very good.

Riu Republica: Decent Place

I find that staff will help you with what you need but won’t smile. Most staff there when I was there are not friendly but will help you. Swimming pool has molds not sure why for a 5 star hotel. Service and Food is Good overall. Place is not wholesome and welcoming to guest.young adults would enjoy it since they are there just to party.I came there ro relax and enjoy.

Riu Republica: Good resort

The beach is beautiful! There is a breeze and big waves all the time. Plenty of pools to sit at each with different music and activities to choose from. Selection of foods was good. The room was clean. Staff were great. If you like to party this is your hotel.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Wow wow wow..... amazing resort!

What a fabulous resort! Spectacular and decided to extend our vacation by 3 days! Food is amazing, especially the Al a cartes, drinks were great and the staff members are wonderful, warm welcoming and eager to assist with anything. Josefina and Luz at guest services (and Indira at Tui excursion company) were monumentally helpful to us with extending our vacation, we became fast friends with these 3 beautiful ladies who went above and beyond to help us with arrangements and other things. Grand Bavaro Princess: Decent resort

Rooms were not as updated as they should have been. Employees did not speak or understand English. Reservations at the restaurants were hard to make. For a renovated hotel, it wasn't as renovated as it should be. Freddy in Guest Services was amazing!

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Garden suit by Melia

An Excellent resort with many amenities, large clean rooms, and friendly staff. Food options are limited as out of 5 restaurants, 3 were fully booked for the week we were there. Night's entertainment is also limited to mostly Kariyoki.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Trip

The newly renovated rooms are very nice but we did have to pay extra to get the same room we usually stay in . We had no idea they were renovating and still are…. We still enjoyed our stay as we love the resort. They entertainment crew are the best !!! They are awesome ??

Riu Palace Bavaro: Great vacation

Beautiful resort! Beach was where we spent the majority of our time. Food was good and lots of options for my vegetarian wife! Room was clean but the elevator was problematic. Manuel and Jesus were incredible service people.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great Vacation

We stayed for 11 days at the Breathless Punta Cana Resort. The staff were very attentive and if we had any issues with our room they were there right away to address them. Simple things like the safe battery, tv remote not working and things like that. The maids were great and each day they cleaned our room and brought fresh towels. We always enjoyed the quiet pool during the day but if we want more music etc we could have gone to the party pool but we enjoyed just relaxing while we were here. The night time entertainment was great and we really enjoyed sitting around at the main bar in the evening and service here was great as well. You will enjoy your time here and we loved it was adult only as we did visit the Dreams one next door to just walk around but there were a lot of families there as well.

TRS Turquesa: Switched hotels mid stay

This hotel was very well kept for the most part and most of the staff were wonderful and kind. Our room was the furthest away (building 58) and paralleled a busy road and neighbourhood. All day and night we heard motorcycles and cars racing down the road with loud booming music. Each night we heard loud rap music pounding from houses and a lot of loud (liquid filled) talking. We would have asked to be moved but this was not the worst part of our stay. They have 1 coffee shop and it opens at  [... read more]10:30AM and closes at 6:30PM! This is the only place you can get cappuccino or pastries, room service does not offer either of these. You can’t order a coffee or tea or even pastries after 11am from room service. We do not drink alcohol so this was my worst nightmare! We only lasted 3 days, our last straw was going to the buffet for dinner and realizing the ONLY buffet available was in the all ages part of the resort which meant we had to take golf cart to buffet and sit with families and kids. Most people go on holiday to adult only resorts to avoid this. There are NO other options. The day we were leaving, I fell really hard in my room because the air conditioner vent on the ceiling was leaking all over the tile floor (the pictures would shock you). On our second day we learned we could get a cappuccino from the main bar in the lobby (remember, we are at far end of resort) so we walked up to get one and stood at the bar (which had no patrons, only about 6 people working behind all talking to each other and ignoring us standing there), that is, until we pulled out a $5 bill. Even then it was sub-par service and hospitality at best. We don’t expect a red carpet and are pretty down to earth and friendly but that was ridiculous. We called Trip Central asking if we could move hotels and were told (VERY nicely) to call Air Transat as they had put the package together. We called Air Transat and they said we could NOT change hotels as we had already left Canada. How does that make sense???? How would I know if the hotel I had booked I would have issue’s with prior to arriving? We ended up booking another hotel, paying for private transfer and paying for balance of stay which cost us another $4,000.00. Then the day before our departure, we realized how late our flight was and the new hotel required us to checkout by noon. This meant we would be sitting in limbo for 5 hours before our ride to airport. We checked Air Transat online to see if any earlier flights and they had seats available! We called Air Transat asking if we could switch to earlier flight (which would have been a win for them because they could sell our later flight ticket at a higher cost), once again, Air Transat said no! This is a joke now, I was furious! So after sitting for hours before heading to airport, we get charged $100 US for 2kg overweight…. Interesting because we did not purchase anything and it was the same weight as it was when we left, minus the floaters we left behind and whatever we used. Heaven forbid you question it, they don’t speak English. We have been to punta cana 4 times this year alone and have always stayed at Bahia Principe Ambar but wanted to give TRS Turquesa a shot because we had heard good things. NEVER again. In fact, I don’t think we will return to DR anytime soon because of this nightmare. I’ve veered off, I apologize but please know, Air Transat Vacations will do nothing to help you, the Punta Cana airport is getting worse everyday and TRS Turquesa is not what they advertise at all. Beware, Air Transat Vacations can not be modified in ANY WAY once you leave your country, regardless of the reason and will do nothing to help, assist or compensate you.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Fantastic Resort

We had researched the hotel a lot on you tube prior to the vacation. The reality was even better than we imagined. Fantastic location, facilities and variety of food. The staff were all excellent and friendly. We stayed in a standard Junior tropical suite which was a nice size and very well maintained. The only thing it lacked what an extractor fan for the bathroom/Shower. The A/C was very effective! Occidental Caribe: Great vacation destination!

We loved our 9 days at Occidental Caribe. Check-in was slow but afterwards, everything was just perfect. The hotel is gorgeous, room was dated but comfortable and clean. The grounds are spectacular. The buffet had lots of variety and we always ate too much. The a la cartes were enjoyable. The pizza at the beach was to die for! We would definately go back! Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Great resort!

My partner and I returned from a 5 day stay at the Serenade All Suites Adults only. This resort is amazing. I have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from as service was good, food was good and staff were friendly. Our room was perfect with a king bed and soaker tub. AC very cold and no issue with hot water as I read in other reviews. Beach was very nice, very little seaweed which was cleaned up daily. Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Excellent Week

The hotel was very good. Nice rooms, nice pools , great beach. The food at the buffet was very good, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always a good variety available. The a la cartes were generally good. Steak, Japanese were our favourite. Italian and Brazilian were fairly good. Only one we didn’t like was Mediterranean. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

Spectacular resort. Well-kept grounds, very nice beach. Food was amazing and the variety of items in the buffet to choose from was excellent. I really liked the fact that you didn't have to make reservations for the al-a-carte restaurants. The nightly entertainment was great. Couldn't ask for a better vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Bahia principe Aquamarine

The resort was amazing at the aquamarine the service was impeccable. It was clean staff were courteous and polite and very helpful The food was amazing. The room was amazing. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time We highly recommend the aquamarine!

Impressive Punta Cana: Great resort

We loved this resort. Great service, great food at the buffet with a variety of options, great entertainment! Pools and beach area are great as well. Would highly recommend. Coffee shop by the lobby is really good with excellent iced coffees.
