Las Palmas by the Sea: Best place to stay in PV

Our stay was fantastic, the hotel is older but clean and very well kept. ALL STAFF are friendly and good at remembering everyone's name. Francesco who works in the spa went above and beyond for our family. Between the six of us we used the spa 17 times. We will never stay anywhere else.

Riu Palace Pacifico: High expectations!

Hotel is very nice, well maintained and clean. As it was a fair bit more price wise than the Riu Vallarta, I had high expectations all around. The pool area was nice as was the beach but there is a shortage of bathroom facilities with only one by the pool under the buffet area and the other off the lobby area. Main Buffet had a lot of variety, the lunch buffet at the Toscana restaurant was poor as nothing is kept warm enough. Poolside barbecue daily was good! Ribs there were delicious. Hotel catered more to the senior crowd and we’re not quite there yet so maybe in a few years it’ll be perfect!

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Quaint, friendly, relaxing

This small and quaint resort was wonderful in every way, except there is next to nothing going on in the evenings. It’s an older crowd of people here, most are 50+ and all the resort would have to do is convert their outdoor taco place at night into a small dance floor and have a DJ playing some familiar tunes from say 7:00-10:00. That would be all that was needed to turn this excellent resort into a fantastic resort.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Absolutely great, especially the staff!

Just got back yesterday and I can't say enough good things about our 10 days at Las Palmas by the Sea. We always found something good in the buffet and a place to rest our weary bones. We were looking for 10 days of R&R and Las Palmas did NOT let us down. Many thanks to ALL of the staff for making our stay enjoyable. Too many names to mention but a special thank you to Fransisco who was manning the poolside massage area and went way out of his way for us one day. Perhaps next time I should take notes because each and every one of them deserves recognition for how hard they work and how well they do! We only get a winter vacation every two or three years so I can't say we are seasoned travelers BUT we HAVE been to three countries and four resorts and, given the opportunity we would not hesitate to go back to Las Palmas by the Sea.

Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills: Amazing Mexican Resort

What a beautiful resort over looking the mountains, very clean, pristine gardens.Staff are amazing and looked after us no mater where we were on the resort from the very start, Mario resort driver was fabulous gave us a tour of the grounds and helped with bags was always offering a drive to where ever we were going but we enjoy walking. You could feel all your stress disappear. The drinks never stopped flowing (Gentle) bartender at both pool bars made sure we were never with out out Champagne. The man working at the adults pool (Towels) had us set up every morning with ashtray, fresh towels and magazines. I wish I knew his name, he was amazing even help staff with drinks.The staff are amazing we will be back, thank you for a wonderful stay. Food was great a smaller buffet than other resorts we have been to but always fresh and good quality.Our favorite A la Carte was the Italian we ate at all the A la Carte restaurants but the lasagna at the Italian was fabulous The Sky bar was wonderful, theme nights were fun. The resort was quite and relaxing..The Ocean bar was nice Daniel our server has the greatest sense of humor and looked after us well. Snack bar order wings we had them most days so good.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Excellent resort

Everything was spotless, workers were always helpful from staff in buffet, bars, to the beach staff and sundeck staff. Entertainment was really enjoyable. Spa was easily accessible. Zumba and yoga classes good, just wish I'd gotten out biking.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Great location.

Great proximity to the downtown. Good variety of food from day to day. Beach is rocky. Rooms are fine, but not all have balconies. Staff are great. Pool is missing some tiles but they are fixing it. Good stay overall!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: The good out weighs the not so good

Hotel was nice, rooms were larger than other resorts I've been too and the service was great. My only con, would be the buffet however the cliental it is focused toward would appreciate it more than say myself who enjoys spicy food and flavors. The restaurants were fantastic and if you go right when they open at 6 and are willing to wait 30-45 minutes you don't even need a reservation. I really don't have a bad thing to say. Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Great time!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel- however we did have to switch rooms when we first arrived as the tub and sink did not drain. However our second room was great. We loved there adults pool! It was a very clean facility with pleasant workers. However we were a bit disappointed we were only able to get into two al le carts

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Good hotel

The hotel was nice and the pools were great. We liked the quiet pool. Buffet food was okay. We didn’t know ahead of time that we needed to book the restaurants and couldn’t get into many which was very disappointing. We were on the club side and rooms were okay but would book the grand side next time if we were To go back. The staff was amazing.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Great well priced getaway

This is an older hotel that is constantly being cleaned and maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has recently changed ownership and you can see the new owners are taking on the huge task of bringing new life into this gem. Beds could be replaced and some rooms still need updating but you cannot beat the location. I have now stayed in this hotel 4 times and it is just getting better.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Great Vacation

Staff at this resort are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is and older resort, but the upkeep is good. No issues with food. They could use more queen and king beds as we got a room with twin beds, not a romantic holiday!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Hot and cold

This hotel would be great for a couple on their honeymoon. The facility is beautiful and very secluded. I felt safe, the food was great and all the serving staff was fabulous. The front desk staff were borderline rude very unprofessional. I’m certain that they never smiled. They refused to deal with me on two occasions. There is either a tower of speakers or a nightclub playing mariachi music loudly all night and early morning. It’s very difficult to sleep through. This is off the si [... read more]te and out of control of the hotel (I think). So, don’t stay in building 1. Apparently, building 2 is quieter.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: More Disappointed then not

The food was boring and very disappointing. Our package included 3 al la carte restaurants, after trying 2 we didn't even bother booking the 3rd. We were there for a week and after day 2 we went to town or the marina to eat all of our meals. The staff at the hotel (cleaning, pool,restaurants) was excellent the check in staff was good. The room was clean but the air conditioning could not keep up and therefore uncomfortable for sleeping. The pool was unusable for almost everyone in the reso [... read more]rt because of the cold temperature, the staff would not even enter the pool for aerobics and other activities. The resort was clean and the grounds well maintained.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Another Great Iberostar!

Just returned from a week in Playa Mita. The Iberostar is simply wonderful. Beautiful grounds, nice beach, great service, excellent food, fun entertainment, modern and comfortable rooms. Very nice resort for chilling out and relaxing.

Riu Flamingos: Awesome resort,staff and beach.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Riu Jalasico ,on first impression of the lobby I wasn't overly impressed,it was ultra modern ,we prefer a more tropical Caribbean feeling. However once we walked through the lobby into the rest of resort we were very pleased to see the beautiful landscaping with mature foliage ,trees and flowering bushes. The staff were very helpful in all the restaurants and bars,cleaning staff seemed to going none stop. The resort is very handicap assessable grounds if a  [... read more]person specifies first floor ,we saw many people using canes,crutches,walkers and wheel chairs being used. The beach is nice and level and quiet enjoyable to walk . The only major down fall was many of us were departing late in the day or evening and they didn't have any rooms available for late check outs,having to be out of your room at noon and not leaving the hotel until 10 pm seemed somewhat difficult .

Riu Flamingos: Highly recommend Riu Jalisco Resort

We had an amazing week at this resort,everything was wonderful, very clean, welcoming staff, including everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping, servers, chefs, grounds people & entertainment Very easy to get around resort, pool areas nice, very clean, beach was fabulous Food amazing, nice variety Guest rooms clean, nice , good AC/ plenty of hot water Resort nice & close to airport

Playa Los Arcos: Perfect resort

I've been to P.V. twelve times and twice to Playa Los Arcos. It is my favorite place, but is not always available when I can travel. It is situated close to the malécon but far enough away from the loud nightclubs. Close enough to small bars with a variety of different live music. The hotel staff are friendly and quick to help. Most guests are repeat customers. Food is great. This year breakfast included live entertainment- a most wonderful trumpet player. Three pools, a Jacuzzi and a child's p [... read more]ool. One pool is not heated. The room was a bit musty - but I suspect that any hotel more than 10yrs old situated on the ocean front will have some mustyness. I will be returning as frequently as I am able.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Poor resort

Very poor room service no towels or face cloths fridge stocked once only toilet seat cracked and didn't fit .Never enough pool chairs poolside and bar poor.Not wheelchair friendly.Very poor entertainment.Toaster never worked properly and frozen butter.Never enough cutlery.I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.

Playa Los Arcos: Playa Los Arcos

Playa Los Arcos is a very pleasant resort with a nice atmosphere and many activities for all ages. It has multiple pools with nice warm water. All rooms have good views of the pools or the ocean. They have mexican evening entertainment. It is close to other restaurants and nightclubs.
