Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Very good accomodation
A super vacation spot, however, activities away from the resort are not readily accessible. The hotel should establish shuttle service to the nearest town. Needs a better set-up for making reservations in the restaurants.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Not as nice as the last time I went
We had a good time, however I did notice the Coba has gone down hill since my last stay there 5 yrs ago!! Still enjoyed most of the food and pool side entertainment. Our rooms were extremely dirty with mud splattered all of the balcony. We didn't get water everyday but one day we recd other peoples half drank water. That was disgusting!
Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great vacay
This is a very beautiful resort. Very clean, best food ever, very professional friendly staff. Just a great place, highly recommended! The beach was quite small, man made but nice. Lots of areas to spread out from beach to several pools around the property. The buffet food was so good we didn't do al la carte. The outdoor dining was a nice touch too. Only thing was some stairs down from the lobby and cobble stone paths which might make it a problem for those with mobility issues.
Grand Oasis Riviera: Very special place!
People are very friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing and the ocean and beach terrific. A place to add to your travels! Visited the ruins of Tulum and worth every penny! Terrif views, very good guide.
Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Tropical Beauty
Beautiful rooms, very clean resort, food was fantastic, nice pools and beach was pretty good. Service was great and resort was beautiful. There is even a salt water pool that you can swim in and there are many small fish in it.
Grand Oasis Riviera: Nice and clean
We stayed here for 7 days and found it to be a clean well cared for resort.there was always something going on in the theatre at night. Staff , for most part was friendly and helpful.i did go to spa for a massage with Ninive who was wonderful. The only real complaint I had was I thought the Nori wet bar was to close to kids play and pool area as some people got a little out of hand with course language the more they drank
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Most comfortable feel resort we've been to
Have visited the Royal Decameron Complex 10 times now and will be visiting many more. We have been to many different resorts in many different places and enjoyed them all for the most part, but the Decameron is definitely our favorite. Thank you to all the staff who are absolutely the biggest difference maker.
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Pretty average resort, raitings said it was a 4+
To far out of town, our room was mediocour not premium like stated in add, adult pool to small. Food at buffet was mostly cold if not made at cooking station. Staff was really good. The ground were nice, we like the jungle feel.
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great resort
This is a great resort, we would go back. All the staff were friendly, grounds were very vibrant, convenient location to town. Rental bikes for free to borrow. Entertainment was great (felt like we were on American's Got Talent). Restaurants were excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars is b/c the buffets were okay.
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: A really nice resort but requires improvements
I was impressed with my stay at the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda five years ago, however my second trip this past week showed the resort was definitely starting to show it's age. On the other hand, the food was great and the service excellent, despite the Swing Bar tenders getting completely overwhelmed when one of their blenders died (again). Another issue I had was the workers not having the correct tools for cleaning the pool.
Las Brisas Huatulco: good resort
Beaches were very good. Buffet and food at the ala carts just average. Air conditioning in the room not up to par. Power in the room we kept going out. Maintenance could not fix either the air conditioning nor the power problem.
Sun Palace Hotel: Top notch service, relaxing, no kids
Well-maintained adults only hotel close to the cancun strip. Easy access to shopping and nightlife with the public transit bus. Food was amazing everyday, although my absolute favorite was the Italian restaurant. The views from the room, restaurant, and pools was amazing. The sun rises right outside your window every morning. Because it is an adults only hotel, it tends to be very quiet in the evenings. They do provide nightly shows and some entertainment in the sports bar but most people hea [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Coba
Lovely resort but need some serious maintenance. Got things fixed but first 3 days we spent most of it waiting for maintenance to show up. Food was excellent at the buffets and a la carte too. Customer service very helpful.
Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Very Small
Didn't enjoy not having a chair at the pool. Played the towel game in the morning and when I came back from breakfast someone had taken our towel and personal belongings off and took the chairs, right in front of the security guard. The buffet was the smallest and worst I have ever experienced in 25 years of going to Mexico. The front desk told you whatever came to their minds depending on their moods. so had to go back several times to find the truth about several matters. They wanted to take o [... read more]
Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: not bad
The food was good in general, there was a lot to choose from, however some of the specialty restaurants don't quite seem to get their act together because some basic international dishes are nowhere close to having ingredients and characteristics you will see in North America.i.e. we ordered a minestrone soup and got something that looked like a vegetable broth with some pasta on it but I wouldn't have guessed they call that minestrone. The Japanese and Mexican restaurants are good and the buffe [... read more]
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Everything I could hope for
After much research and reading of the numerous trips Central and trip advisor ratings, I chose to stay at the Valentin Imperial in the Riviera Mayan the third week of January 2016 . Every review that I read stated the food was excellent, all of these reviews were spot on. I would like to comment on the immaculate maintenance of the resort. We saw staff handwashing the pool walls, we saw staff carefully placing stones at the entrance way to the Our building, and we saw staff painting the interio [... read more]
Secrets Huatulco: Truly an amazing place!
Rooms were excellent, beds really comfy, views nothing short of amazing! Nice toiletries provided, including suntan lotion spf15! No need to haul shampoo, conditioner body wash etc. Food and drinks, were top notch and plentiful! Excellent choices available! Pools were huge and great temperature, beach was nice and the sand was soft but deep in areas...kinda large soft pebbles. Each and EVERY staff member we encountered wanted nothing more than to provide an amazing experience! They exceeded well [... read more]
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Amazing resort
Our room was very nice, clean, and our maid gave us what we need every day.He definitely went out of his way to make us happy. At the restaurant you got amazing service. We like the service so much we left tips. The food was a 4 out of 5, my boyfriend agrees with me. The grounds were super clean. All the workers there work really hard at there jobs. They make this resort a great vacation place.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing beautiful resort
This resort was amazing and beautiful the food was great the beach was beautiful the service was good and our family really enjoyed it. It was by far the nicest were resort we've been to so far and I would definitely recommend it and take my family again. Our kids loved the waterpark it was very nice. And it's nice and close to airport.
Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great Value
Had a great vacation. Everyone went out of their way to provide us with comfort. Grounds are lovely, but walking on all the stone pathways was treacherous in high heels so leave them at home. Beach is small but we could snorkel right there (snorkels provided) . We decided to upgrade to an oceanview room and were not disappointed as we did not look directly out at the Cruise Ships but across toward Akumal. Rooms were modern and extremely clean, water and sodas and beer in the bar fridge daily. Ba [... read more]
