Yes, price is right but the hotel, food and service are just acceptable, and I'm NOT a picky person, if you're planning to go on day trips and weather is nice then your just ok. Stuck at hotel? No way!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellent Resort.
This is our second time here. Highly recommend. Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful beach, clean rooms. Excellent food. Have been to Excellence in Punta Cana twice, Excellence Riviera Cancun twice and Excellence Playa Mujeres once. Very happy with the Excellence Hotels but prefer Mexico. Have nothing negative to say. We are so happy in fact we are bring our children and grandchildren to the Finest Excellence Hotel in Cancun April 2016. Hoping they are as good as their sister hotels.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: N.J.R. EXPERIENCE
AS THIS WAS OUR 5TH TIME AT THIS RESORT, I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT... EVERYTHING WAS AS USUAL, GREAT.. HOPING TO BE UPGRADED TO THE PREFERRED SECTION, I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN THE ADDED COST WHICH WAS MORE THAN I WAS QUOTED, BUT STILL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: very nice
This hotel was very nice, not a great experience. The staff was wonderful but had to work extremely hard to keep up with guests requests, due to not enough staff required to accommodate the amount of guests. The food was ok. Restaurants closed much to early. It was very difficult to find food at times during the day. Some days we would travel from restaurant to restaurant only to find closed doors. Many days the only place we could get food was at the espresso and panino bar. Our room was ok. My[... read more] husband and I had to share a double bed, the mattress had a foam pad on it and was very hard. Our pillows were also filled with small pieces of foam which was very disgusting to sleep with. After viewing our room we immediately put in a request to be transferred to another room but were told there was nothing else available. We tried asking all week but were not moved to better accommodations. My husband and I also had a terrible experience at the spa. After getting a massage from a unqualified staff I suffered neck and head pain which was caused by the terrible massage. After complaining to the manager she arranged an other massage for me to help me recover from the terrible massage I just had. The second massage was fabulous. We had a great week with friends regardless of a few things the can go wrong. The grounds are beautiful and very well keep. The staff was wonderful.

Dreams Huatulco: Excellent family vacation
Beautiful hotel and grounds, everything in good repair, very clean, and well landscaped. The resort is small and well laid out so that everything is easily accessible. Rooms were very nice & spacious, beds were nothing special but not uncomfortable. There are beautiful ocean views from most rooms. Daily cleaning and turn down services are very good - we found the hotel to exceptionally clean - I should especially note the poolside bathrooms, the staff who cleaned these did an amazing job of keep[... read more]ing them clean and dry!
Restaurants (both buffets and a la cartes) were very clean and we didn't have any trouble getting a table for any meal at any of the a la cartes. Service was a little slow at the a la cartes and wait staff seemed stretched a little thin during dinner service, breakfast and lunch were generally much more leisurely and we felt very well looked after - wait staff were always exceptional during these meals. The food in the breakfast and lunch buffets (both the world cafe and the seaside grill) is exceptional if you enjoy Mexican food - if you prefer to stick to american favourites I can't comment on that food, we enjoyed the Mexican food so much! We found the food in the a la carte's to be average - not as good as you might expect if you have stayed in other Dreams properties, but not bad. Truthfully, we found the food at the buffet to be better quality and flavour than any of our a la carte experiences. We enjoyed the coco coffee bar very much as well for a daily latte but these are also available on request at the buffets. If you need to use room service the food was good and service was very quick.
We travelled with children and didn't attend any of the evening entertainment but we cannot express enough how wonderful the explorers club is! Our daughter loved every minute she spent there - the staff were very warm and friendly and they kept the kids engaged with a variety of activities every day. Our daughter said it felt like going to summer camp in Mexico!
The pools are fantastic - more than enough pool side chairs to go around. The infinity pools along the beach were our favourite but the pool near the Seaside Grill/Oceano was perfect for the afternoon if you wanted a reprieve from the heat. The towels are easily accessible and plentiful. The poolside bars are great - the servers are friendly and drinks are cold.
The beach is beautiful, pristine golden sand and crystal clear water. The slope of the beach is more gentle than other places on the same bay but getting in and out of the water could be a challenge depending on the waves! Some days the water was very calm and others it was quite wavy but there is a rapid drop in depth along with shore break that make this beach unsuitable for young children to wade without an adult holding them. There is some good snorkeling along the rock formations between Dreams and the next resort.
Overall we enjoyed our experience very very much and we cannot say thank you enough to every staff person at Dreams Huatulco who made our trip so amazing!

Grand Oasis Palm: Bad Experience
I would just like to inform you of the experience we had at the GRAND OASIS PALM Cancun. It all started quite pleasant the plane was on time and we actually arrived a bit early. We used private transportation over to the resort and were there in a timely fashion then the gong show began, please be sure you allow a lot of time for the check in because it is a slow and laborious endeavor. We requested ground floor rooms and to be close to our traveling companions they had us on the 8th floor but a[... read more]fter some talking we were put on the third floor but our traveling companions had to change rooms the next day to accommodate our request no big deal. Thankfully we were put on the third floor because OMG the elevator service is horrendous we were stuck in the elevator on the first day then they were out of service for the rest of the that day, they are very slow and very small and a constant source of irritation to everyone at the resort but amazingly enough whenever you approached staff to complain they could no longer understand English (very frustrating). Enough about the elevators I could go on about them for pages (and none of it would be good) let’s talk about the food situation.
We paid extra for the use of the grand side which is supposed to include the buffet but three days after arriving they decided to shut down the Buffet on the grand side for supper, because of this twice we had to stand more than an hour outside of the one buffet that was open out of the three on the resort waiting for room to eat, one of these times we had to stand in the rain now that is more than a frustrating experience. They also decided at Aguava's restaurant to start demanding you make reservations for meals this was previously a no reservation required restaurant the explanation for this was because there was only one buffet open their restaurant did not have a big enough kitchen to keep up to the high demand of people wanting to eat there, but its ok because the Oasis group once again saved some money at the expense of customer comfort and convenience by only having one of three buffets open and making people wait just keep in mind their theme is Oasis Loves You and I am glad they did because I would hate to see how they treat the people that they hate. The hamburger stand had no hamburger buns 2 days and no ketchup was an ongoing problem daily also to salt your fries they have a dish of salt on the counter and expect everyone to dip their fingers into it to get salt how about using a SALT SHAKER, you would not even do this at home let alone expect to see something so unsanitary at a 4+ star resort. We have been to three star Cuban resorts that put this 4+ star to shame for food quality and service and comfort. The food at the buffets was incredibly repetitive and not the best quality. On the Grand side that was only open for breakfast the toaster quit on day four and that was it no more toast the rest of our vacation.
Now as far as comfort our pool was surrounded by nice wooden loungers the only problem was the chair pads that were worn right out now there is nothing more relaxing than lying on 2x4's with no or next to no padding, also none of the other chairs around the pool had a bit of padding on them either and were the cheap small white plastic chairs. The only padded furniture was a few beach beds that you had to pay an extra $350 Pecos’s per day to use. The adult only section constantly had children passing through getting the bartenders to make them non-alcoholic drinks and quite often pausing to cry and wine but this should be looked after by their parents but was not.
We have traveled a fair bit and have to this point been lucky enough not to have ever stayed at an Oasis property but I thought with this being a SUNWING EXCLUSIVE they would have checked into the star rating and the property more but the one thing I am very sure of is they will never see me at another Oasis property and we have already started telling everyone we know about our experience and to be very cautious of Sunwing Exclusives, you would think they would spend more time evaluating a property before they tied their name along with it but I guess not these complaints were not just ours it was a very common complaint amongst many of the vacationers staying at this property.
In closing my best suggestion to anyone thinking about staying here is really read the customer comments you will find a common thread between the bad comments they are the food, the elevators the lack of customer comfort the nickel and diming you for a safe and internet that should be a standard feature at this price level. Oasis you got us on this one but rest assured NEVER again.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Beautiful and Quiet
From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we had a fabulous holiday! The room was large, two queen beds with a desk and chair and a table with 2 chairs. The bathroom was recently renovated with a glass and marble walk-in shower. We were to get a room with a king size bed but none were available. They offered to move us once one came available, but when we saw the beautiful view from our room we decided not to move. The windows spanned the entire wall and opened right up, with an u[... read more]nobstructed view of the entire resort. The buffet food was fantastic, something for everyone. The a la cartes were also delicious, our favourites were the Mexicano and the Mediterranean. Three large beaches with lots of chairs and palapos available, along with three pools, provided on-demand seating. This huge resort provided lots of space for guests ~ you never had to fight for a spot or seat at anything. You can go down to the beach at any time of the day and get a chair. The weather is amazing ~ we went January 8-15 and it was hot, hot, hot everyday! The Transat team, the Excursion staff, the resort service and the staff attended to every detail and request we had. Honestly, the only thing that wasn't fantastic was the wifi lol...

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Beautiful Resort
The views and sunsets are great from all the rooms. The balconies are spacious and the rooms are clean and large and well maintained. Our Maid was Olivia and she did a great job of keeping coffee in the room, as well as keeping it clean. Our waiters and bartenders also did a great job, I remember Xavier and Victor in particular, as well as waiters Carolos and Joel. We did the Troncone Turtle Tour and it was also a wonderful experience with a great tour guide...Mauricio. The food is good even tho[... read more]ugh the buffet isn't as large as some. It's great that you also get access to the 3 other Bahia Principe resorts (Coba, Sian Ka'an and Tulum) as well the local village (Hacienda Doña Isabel).
I would highly recommend staying here!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Made the best of it
The resort is very small, limited space for walking, found the streets to be safe but not as pretty as walking through some of the larger resorts we have stayed at. We were hounded by the 'club staff' to take a tour and receive a free gift! Upon check in we were placed in a room with a king size bed, we had a 2 and 6 year old. After calling for a crib three times, we were told
We couldn't get a cot, after several phone calls and being disconnected I went to the front desk, was told we could upgr[... read more]ade for only $150 for the two weeks to a junior sweat. The room backed onto construction and the motorcycles could be heard in our room, so I asked to check the room
First to see if it would work.
Upon my return the 'shark club' was upset when I told them I wouldn't be attending a tour, and he spoke Spanish to the manager, all the sudden the upgrade was $40/ night.... When I told them I was just told $150 he then said that's per week.
He told me I could take the tour and it would all be taken care of
For free. No thanks - charge me the $300! Scammers!
Night two my daughter get food poisoning, night three my son, me I have an iron stomach!)
Enjoy loud music on Sat night shaking your hotel room.
The food was okay, I have had better in Cuba, very limited flair with night time buffets. Same thing every night- different sauces
The animation /entrainment staff are excellent, they really enjoy their jobs
And worked very hard to get people up to make games happen. The resort needs some upgrades, lots of steps, and not great for
Older travellers
The beach is small- and while the resort
Was only 60% full the resort allows day passes for ships at Port and locals for mini holidays
Over all made the best of what we had to deal with
Many people on our trip suffered from Diahrea, and hand washing was rarely observed at the snack bar, when attempts made soap not used.
Rooms very small, not fancy- and washroom was so
Small barely closed the door, without hitting toilet
Overall a 3 star in my mind - not sure how they think it's a five
Evening shows were poor
They build a tunnel to take you to the beach, cars and sirens could be heard in our rooms, at the pools (road about 100 feet away)
Enjoy the loud music from

Riu Santa Fe: Great place to get head lice!
Awful hotel. My daughter got head lice, my son and I both got sick. Dirty place. Oh and the housekeeping staff stole some of my clothes. The front desk staff was competly indifferent, terrible service. Food was bad. After the third day I started to just eat fruit. If you want to lose weight this is the place to do it. The one shining star was the kids' club, the staff there were friendly, caring, and my kids LOVED them.

Dreams Huatulco: Terrific and Relaxing
As a first timer to this resort my wife, son and i were very happy with all of our accommodations. Our balcony had an ocean view and we spent a few nights sipping cervezas and listening to the ocean from it.

Samba Vallarta: Great for the price!
The resort is smaller than some of the ones around it which was nice. The staff were great. The drink service was really good as well. There was usually always space on the beach. The pool did get a little crowded at times. There is also really only one main pool that's split into three which was disappointing as most of the sites said this place had multiple pools.
