Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Cozy resort

We have been to this resort at least 4 times. Whole resort was very well maintained. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, maids were always cheerful and gardeners always greeted us. We like to stay at this hotel because there is a pier where we can relax and fish. WiFi system not very good, but everything else was excellent.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Staff were great

Staff were great and the beach was beautiful. Unfortunately we did not get a Lakeview room that we upgraded too. Our room had very little warm water let alone hot water. We had a leak in the ceiling causing me to slip and hurt my ankle. The a la carters were good however the buffet was something else. Tons and tons of flies over everything and the food was all cold. The pool itself was nice however the water was cold. The beach was absolutely beautiful and that made the trip.

Melia Costa Rey: Little worn out but still lovely

This was our third time in this hotel and definitely the last. All the "cracks" are really showing now. Missing tiles in the pool, tired paint, broken appliances.... I would definitely recommend staying at "Colection" as this the only part of the hotel where you feel a bit of luxury and especially if you're looking for some peace and quiet. Buffet food is basic but they really try with making special pasta, grilling your fish or meat on demand There are 3 gourmet restaurants that try hard to serve something different but Cuba is not known for their food but for their beaches. And this is one area where you will be amazed. Beach near Pullman is stunning - turn left or right from the resort and you can walk and walk on white empty beach. Overall Pullman would maybe pass 3 or 4 star hotel but the experience of Cuba is definitely there!

Tryp Cayo Coco: A fun resort

Tryp is a old resort but kept very clean the food was good what was there people that work there are all friendly willing to help you remember it's Cuba and you get what you paid for myself just love this resort will be back soon

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: 5 stars for sure

You always hear how you just go to Cuba for the beaches and Mexico for the food but honestly this resort is well worth it and is the exception. The beach was the most incredible of any Cuban resort we’ve been to, miles of white sand. And the food was better than any other 5 star Cuban resort we’ve been to pre pandemic which is really saying a lot right now because there’s a massive shortages in Cuba and all over the world. Oh and the fire roasted oven pizzas and the fact that the snack bar was open 24/7 but is actually good. Also they spared no expense on decor- I noticed because I’m into design and the mid century vibes were extremely modern and luxury/expensive. You can tell they really paid attention to all aspects of the resort and what people want. The Cuban staff are so so so sweet, as always. Wonderful amazing people.

Hotel Mojito: Amazing

Hotel mojito is amazing the staff make this place great. They go beyond to make u smile and be comfortable. I will definitely go there again for the people and staff of mojito. They were always smiling and so nice to my kids. Always helpful. I've traveled quite a bit and never experienxe such kindness

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: great place and excellent service

I went there with my brother and we had the time of our life!! The room was nice and clean. When it comes to the food there were lots of varieties and different choices at the buffet, the service there was outstanding. Our waitresses Yulie and Nairelys were awesome. The entertainment staff were also awesome. Yuni and Marlon Brando with the daily morning stretching the Zumba and the beach volleyball kept us busy pretty much the whole day! We are definitely coming back!

Beautiful location, clean, peaceful, I really enjoy it. Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Beautiful resort!

The resort itself was beautiful, not too many activities so keep that in mind. I would say the service was decent, most employees were nice and welcoming. Though as a queer identifying person there were times I was by the beach bar and I would spot the workers snickering and laughing at me so it wasn’t the most comfortable and welcoming.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Resort

Check in and where to leave luggage till room ready needs improvement. Have to be physically able to walk, stairs as no elevator and path to beach not smooth sl down hill and a fair distance from lobby and rooms Loved the quiet evenings nothing really late! Not loud and rowdy! Would definately go again!

Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing Views

The hotel was clean, well kept, with amazing ocean and pool views. I was in building 8 and saw the beautiful ocean and pool every morning. My only complaint is the food situation. Currently there is is NO buffet for dinner. It’s only alla carts, so if you do not like fine dining this won’t be for you. The portions were really small at dinner and oftentimes we had to go to the snack bar to get food afterwards. The people of the resort were all amazing and friendly. Hotel Playa Paraiso: Good enough resort

Good things: excelent wide beach, a lot of palapases, no need to secure your tent and beach chairs from early morning, they are available any time, a lot of them. No lines to the main buffet, a lot of tables inside. Good room service, all is done in due time. There are a lot of trees , bushes and flowers, very green and clean resort. Bad things: food could be better in terms of both varieties and taste. A lot of local people who tried to avoid the line for the food preparation station, very often getting more attention from the personell than the foreign tourists. It was a weird and new experience after 2.5 years not being in Cuba due COVID-19. The excursion on the catamaran was good except a lunch, they promised very good sea food lunch, but when we arrived in the restaurant, they brought one lobster tail for 5 people, one table spoon of rice, and tiny portion of fries that looked was prepared at least 3 days ago. The price for the excursion was pretty high, $USD 110/ person, and having nothing to eat after taking a breakfast at 7 am and 3 snorkeling stops plus delfinarium- it was really bad experience! A lot of mosquitoes also did not add a good feelings but it is this time of the year to claim I assume.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A great get-away!

Our time at Iberostar Daiquri was exactly what we needed! The resort had everything we needed, a clean room with a comfortable bed, good food, and wonderful staff who welcome you as though you were a member of their own family! Some people may say that Cuba does not have good food, but if you eat a clean, healthy diet, you will be very happy with the food in Cuba. The beach was fantastic! Melia Cayo Coco: Great little resort

This resort was a great little resort for us, but I know it may not be for everyone. My wife and I are in our 40s and traveled with 2 other couples at the end of April. This is a small resort (250 rooms) about 15 min. from the airport (bonus). We could always find one another if we were apart as this was the smallest resort we had been to. It [... read more] was always windy so no frisbee throwing. If you are into snorkelling for fish, this is not the beach for you. All sand no rocks. This resort is older as we could see from the rooms inside the bungalows. There are no hotel style accommodations (another big plus for us). Water pressure was weak, but we made due (never complained about it). This was not the case with the rooms our friends stayed in. This was not a party resort and the average age was probably in the 50's. We departed on May 1st and there were bus loads of young adults arriving that coincided with the end of universities in Canada. Coincidence? The food was very good for Cuba and we enjoyed the a-la-carts, but not comparable to other resorts outside Cuba. I loved the lobby bar as it was spacious and over the high ceiling and open to the air. We could always find a seat or a cabana by the pool or beach as it was the off season. This place was not crowded. While this is not a resort comment, we had perfect weather and no rain our entire week at the resort. 29 degrees C by day, 23 degrees by night. We enjoyed our time at the resort.

Melia Costa Rey: Great Resort, Covid safe!

Pullman has solid reputation over the years and did not disappoint now! All Covid Protocol in place ànd gently enforced by staff. All staff masked ànd gloved where necessary. All food served to your clean plates at the Buffet. Food was excellent in variety and quality. Temperatures were good. All food areas supplied sanitizer if needed. Many times to Cuba and to Cayo Coco but first to Pullman and will definitely return. Love close proximity to airport....10 minutes and vacation starts.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: A great resort

The resort was well maintained and beautifully groomed the wooden bungalow was dated but comfortable.the dining was above what I expected . staff were friendly and helpful .the beaches were pristine The resort seam isolated. The neoseams flies were terrible for me but not my wife.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Nice brand New Modern Resort with free wifi, also pool and beach drink service

We stayed for a week in May/ 22 , had a Oceanview room , Best room we ever had in Cuba with with King bed, plus couch , table & 2 chairs, whirlpool tub & Separte standup shower. However If I would go again though, I would go for a ground level swim up room. Beach is pure white soft sand with no other resorts open on this separate Island, great for long beach walks. Food is ok, but we ate at the same restaurant almost everyday for our 3 meals a day. Food got to be reptitive but it was good and fresh.The beach bbq did not happen, Two of of the Ala Carte’s did not open. Remote location. It is a 1 hour drive from CayoCoco. No off resort Excursions available the whole week. This resort is so remote and new they don’t offer excursions at all except for once per week Catamaran snorkeling, except ours was canceled due to not enough people.So expect to stay the whole week on the resort. It is a really quiet resort , you could sleep or read at the pool or beach with no loud Cuban party music playing at all except on the Thursday Cuban Day. So It is great if you just want to rest and relax but can get to be boring if you need more excitement.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Would stay again

Best Cuba resort I've been to. Better than the Dominican trip I took. Amazing staff, clean, relaxing. Beach was fantastic. Food was good lots to choose from. Go see the boys at the beach bar, Victor and Oscar so fast and friendly. Highly recommend

Melia Cayo Coco: Lovely resort

This was our first time to this resort. It’s only 15 minutes from the airport. From leaving the aircraft to arriving in our room was very smooth. I had reserved our à la cartes ahead of time online, and, while I didn’t receive the promised email confirmation, our reservations had been made. Small touches make a difference : staff was over the top friendly and attentive, the coffee was always piping hot, and all the public area washrooms were always immaculate. We could usually find  [... read more]a palapa on the beach, but folks do tend to do the early morning towel run to reserve a spot. Annoying but hard to avoid. We tipped in Canadian currency, and were almost always able to get bills changed into loonies and toonies (one and two dollar Canadian coins) at the bar. We had a renovated room, which seems to mean new shower instead of a tub, which was fine with us. Lots of hot water, pressure was ok. The only toiletries supplied were good sized bottles of shampoo and shower gel. I had been hoping for body lotion - so bring your own if you need it. But in fact, most of the day and night, we were slathered in sunscreen or bug repellant - the resort is on a lagoon, it will be buggy. Always. We were disappointed not to find coffee or a coffee maker in the room. Had I known, I would have brought my little one-cup filter and coffee - but the pool snack bar is open 24/7, so not really an issue. We love to snorkel, and there really isn’t anywhere off the beach to do so. Our Air Canada rep arranged for us to join a group that left from the next door Pullman resort. For $25.00 CDN you are taken by boat to a reef not too far out for an hour. Absolutely well worth it. There was always something tasty to eat, though this place had the same odd shortages as other resorts in Cuba. No jam at breakfast- bring your own if it’s important. We went to the gym one morning. There are bikes, treadmills, the usual equipment, and, while there is a fan, it’s not very effective. As for Covid, we were told on arrival that all staff were masked, and guests were requested to mask in public areas and when interfacing with staff. Guests who we saw were quite compliant, perhaps a bit on/off in the semi-open lobby area. I brought rapid test kits to the medical building, where I was told they were happy to have them to continue testing staff. Overall, a satisfying visit. So happy be back in Cuba!
