Iberostar Selection Holguin: Nice Resort Bad Food Poor Watersports

The report itself was quite nice with good rooms and accommodations. Amenities are quite spread out and a bit of a hike to everything. Folks that don't like to walk will always be looking for a cart for a ride. The close beach is OK with the water being a little on the murky side. The hotel staff seems more interested in getting tips to move chairs out to the beach when you arrive then having them set up and making the beach inviting. The chairs are stacked up away from the actual sitting [... read more] area so guests have to wait for the chairs to be moved down as they were not easily accessible. Very few people where at this beach due to the fact that it did not look open. The second beach is quite a distance to get to. While you could grab a golf cart to get you down there, I personally do not want to rely on someone else to get me to the beach. This beach was very nice. Same deal with the chairs though, beach staff would not allow you to grab a chair to set up for yourself and as soon as someone left the chairs would be stacked up again. The sail boats and sailboards where only available on 2 out of the seven days we were there. Staff said it was due to the prevailing conditions, but where pretty much the same the entire 7 days we were there. They would also not allow guests to take out the boats on their own. This was a 1st for me as in the past I have always been able to captain my own vessel...even at other resorts with trickier launching conditions. While I have been told that you don't go to Cuba for the food, I was quite disappointed with the food. The fruit was not very tasty and the meat was over all tough. People where definitely right on this one.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Good resort

Overall great resort! We had a lot of fun. Hotel grounds were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Water sports and beach amenities were a highlight. Food was good but some people in our group caught some sort of bug.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Good but not great

We recently (Nov2019) stayed at this hotel . It’s was our first family vacation with our little one who is 2. First impressions were that lobby was very nice and elegant. Staff quickly checked us in but did however try to get us to come to the “welcome breakfast” aka time share meeting. I knew this wasn’t going to be possible with 2 year old boy especially in the morning. It was my husbands birthday and told 2 staff members hoping there would some sort of surprise for him. I was totall [... read more]y disappointed in the lack of attention for this even though they did say we would do something. Sometimes these little things go a long way. Our room didn’t have the view I anticipated. The balcony had a high concrete wall so couldn’t see much. I even asked the front desk if any other room were available. Supposedly they were too full. Since we had our little doing a restaurant didn’t seem like the right fit for us so we stuck to the buffet, which was great. Everyday there was lots of options however I could tell food was repurposed. In addition, there was lots of construction which took away from the beautiful grounds . I avoided taking pictures of that side. The beach was beautiful and clean . Excellent view! I loved how the wifi connection was throughout the entire property. For this being our first family trip I think it was a good starting point. Definitely wished my husbands birthday was celebrated as I requested multiple times.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Telnolies

This is a 5 star property.we ate at 5 different restaurants.All were excellent.beach was groomed every morning.No sign of weeds.Lots of chairs at the beach.All washrooms and hallways were clean.Had breakfast at three different buffet restaurants.All excellant and no waiting.Our room was great with a large flat screen t v.Saff were friendly and helpful.Thanks to Debbie McGuire for recommending this resort

Having never been to Cuba before I would say that the resort itself was very nice. The rooms were great and the staff was really amazing. They did their best with what they were given ie. supplies, food etc. What was not great were the Noseeums. They were horrible. The food was ok but need more fruits and vegetables. The shows (entertainment) wasn’t great except the aqua show.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Average stay

Hotel is beautiful but needs upkeep . For a property that is 3 yrs old it is not well kept. Food is average and staff seems unhappy. Nothing is labeled at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants lack attention to detail ie take forever to come around with wine and lack ambience. Coffee at the coffee bar was great, don’t expect much at the buffet. Been to Cuba 7 times and have definitely had better. Pools were clean and drinks were great. Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing Resort and People!

Hotel is clean, bright and lively. Pools are spotless and the grounds are immaculately maintained. Rooms are spacious and the staff do a great job cleaning them each day. Food was wonderful, different items with each meal and day. The staff are so friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Amazing resort

Beautiful resort, excellent food, great service, friendly staff. We definitely recommend going to this resort. We stayed 10 nights in November and the weather was terrific. The beach was large with lots of cabanas for shade.

Hotel good clean rooms grounds we'll keep staff very helpful food so so.The nitely entertament was good ,daily sport actively was great. Will return will return next year or sooner this year. If the weather be comes so cold I require some heat.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms are nicely decorated and beds are comfortable. The food was ok but the buffet had a variety of foods but similar variety every night. The food was not hot. The a la carts were good especially the Japanese and the Mediterranean.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Beautiful Beach🏝

The beach was beautiful, surrounded by royal palms and lush foliage. Lots of lounges and coverage from the sun. The pools were clean and the staff always attentive. The rooms were a bit dated and new pillows are needed. There were options for food, all three of the restaurants were pleasant and the buffet had something for everyone. The 24 hour snack bar had a nice outside patio and the entertainment was fun!

Land much too big for the buildings that are there Food is typical Cuban Beach is much too far to get to Rooms are good Pool water is way too cold Service was friendly but slow Lobby bar service extremely slow Lots of areas make me wonder if this resort is a makeover from a previous one

Hotel was very clean, staff was excellent in every way. Hotel is just 1 year old so is in top notch condition!! Everything is in a walkable distance, and the entertainment gang are Fabulous..!!! Beer is cold and food is hot what more could you want.... Try this place out you won't be sorry you did. A Great place to spend your holiday.

What an amazing hotel !To be honest , I wasn’t expecting anything like it , due to many things I have heard about Cuba . I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel , I would highly recommend it . The weather wasn’t good for a couple of days , however the activities and night shows were outstanding .

The resort is beautiful. It’s huge aswell so there’s lots to explore. Lots of activities to get into, or bars/shops to hang out at which is appealing for everyone. Staff is friendly, and the restaurants are great. Would highly recommend.

This resort has excellent. Whole resort was very clean. Staff was Fun, accommodating, and very friendly. Nightly entertainment was amazing. Things to do every night. Food was Great. Many restaurants and different locations to eat.

This resort is by far the best resort I have ever stayed at. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms are beautiful and the cleaning staff is incredible. There are workers always cleaning the resort and the service is fantastic. The beach was a little crowded at times but that's to be expected. The pool is not as busy for the amount of people on the resort so it makes up for the beach. The pool is BEAUTIFUL and huge with 3 swim up bars. There is always some type of entertainment a [... read more]t the pool or the beach and the night time entertainment at the theatre is amazing!! The entertainment staff are incredibly talented. The restaurants are never crowded and the food is SO good!!! I didn't bring my child with me but they have a bunch of stuff to do for kids so next time I am definetly bringing him with me! They also have a shopping centre on site with an amazing mexican taco restaurant! I would recommend this resort to anyone looking. It says it is a 4/4.5 star but it actually is a 5 in my opinion. I can't say enough good things about this place and I will be returning as soon as I can! I will recommend this resort to everyone I know! You will not be disappointed!!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Still Amazing

Back for sixth year over the same ten days, resort as always is beautifully kept, staff is above and beyond, food is good & rooms are excellent. That being said, there were signs of cutbacks this year, less staff, no newspaper delivery to room, no Distilled water (for CPAC) supplied for the first time, single reception desk in lobby of Building 70 vs two in the past, single hostess at breakfast causing either a wait or people taking their own table.
