Melia Jardines del Rey: Very large resort

Good variety of food. However 11 days without a hot meal is disappointing. We were at the lobby desk 7 times to have door key reset. They finally fixed the lock when I lost my cool. The resort is showing its age. Water stains on ceilings and mould on outside stair wells. Walkways are very uneven Try to take a warm shower!! About the 3rd try you realize it won’t happen.

Melia Jardines del Rey: I can go back

Clean rooms, excellent service, great bartenders, super friendly customer service, a lot of restaurants and entertainments, long walks on the beach, close to airport, a lot of bars with 24 hours bar..

Paradisus Los Cayos: Review

The hotel was very clean and the buffet would good - a good mix of food - meat can be cooked right in front of you if needed. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice as well. The al carte were not very good - this would be my Only complaint. You can tell it’s a new resort with some kinks to be worked out but no real issues - would recommend.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful beach

Melia Jardine has a beach with soft white sand and beautiful clear clean water. The room was clean and our maid was very accommodating. The food service at Melia is a bit sketchy. We had breakfast cereal but no bowls on 5 mornings. The bread is terrific but sometimes we went without butter. The chefs that cook omelets are very quick and omelets were delicious, but the line up is long. The chef that cooked pancakes made only 6 at a time. 3 people would take those 6 and then we had to wait  [... read more]for her to start a new batch. The coffee at the main buffet was too weak. We enjoyed good coffee at the 24 hr snack bar.

Melia Las Dunas: Great resort!

We were very pleased with the resort. The food was better than expected with several places to choose from. The a la carte restaurants especially the internacional and oriental were great, the staff was friendly and the beach was as perfect as you could imagine. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Would recommend to anyone

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: You get what you pay for

We just returned from a one week stay ( 2 adults, 1 teen and a six year old). Beaches are beautiful naturally and the workers keep them spotless . Ernesto, Alexi and Yunior prep your lounges for you. Stellar service Beverages are cold, service is quick, and there is plenty to go around Nestor, Osbiel, Jose take great care of you Buffet always had a variety of food, servers were efficient and bldg was clean. Alfredo best pool dude ever- pools were clean and lounges to be found. Kids Club was solid- our 6 year old loved the ladies...Tune, Danna & Nayi Speaking with other tourists in the region, our hotel was a good one. The people who work there are what make the resort - being around all of them make it easy to be there

Paradisus Los Cayos: Better than expected.

Was very happy with this resort for Cuba. Went with 7 people. Resort was clean with great service. Beach was amazing very clean and well laid out. Food was better than expected for the most. Nothing spectacular but still good. Room was clean and very nicely presented. Shower leaked but nothing serious. There are two small mall close by for cigars, rum and local merchandise. One is attach to Royalton. Not a lot of night life. All and all very pleased.

Melia Las Americas: Our Favourite Resort

Between myself & my sister and my Husband and I, I've had the wonderful opportunity to visit Melia Las Americas 15 times. I have just arrived home and am already planning for next year. We have spoken to friends about it for years and a couple who we know, the husband was our best man, will be there for two weeks in March. I hope that they see the magic of the place that we do.

Melia Jardines del Rey: amazing resort and very clean

we enjoyed our stayed in Melia del Rey for a whole week...the rooms and sorroundings is very clean....staff are lovely and polite...we love the beach..water is very clean...we enjoyed their night programs and dancing...about the food it was not as good as we expected but there is a lot of variations of foods...Overall i will recommend the place to visit and stay..thank you Melia del Rey for the wonderful getaway...

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Okay Resort

Beds were really uncomfortable. Food was a 5 out of 10. Ocean and Beach was great. Pool was freezing. Entertainment was a 4 out of 10. I wouldnt return to this resort. ................................

Melia Las Dunas: 6th time there

We have been to Cuba 11 times. As usual the weather and the people were very welcoming. The rooms are clean and bright. One thing we did notice was that a lot of choices of food were in short supply and not as many choices in the buffet. We do realize that there is a new director general but didn't know that the head chef has also changed. Melia Internacional: Beautiful resort terrible food

While the hotel grounds are beautiful and everything is extremely clean, the hotel lacks food quality and quantity. For a five star new resort I had higher expectations especially for the price I paid. Also, the private convention events being held in the common areas of the hotel were the reason that I will not return to this hotel again.

Melia Las Dunas: Very Good Resort

The resort has a good layout with easy access in walking distance to everything. Golf carts available for transportation as well. Grounds and public areas nicely kept. Vegetation is amazing and very well maintained. Some cleaning practices in the public areas need improvement as cleaning ladies have to squeeze the mops by hand, which is unaesthetic and unhygienic. Key cards not always working even after replacement. One key was always working, the second not. Buffet selection was very good, with fresh food and vegetables every day, a large selection of meats to make on order. The Beer Garden was the favorite for lunch, the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Tried the Pizzeria and while the food was good, some menu items were not available and we ended up at the buffet thereafter. Wi-fi was extended throughout the entire resort, with signal sometimes stronger on the beach than in the lobby. This was a very nice surprise. People awesome as ever, very good service, very attentive and personable. From serves, to bar tenders, entertainment crew, room keepers, reception and public services, it was always a pleasure dealing and interacting with them. Overall a very good resort, highly recommendable.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Nice resort

The grounds were very nice. Food was ok but not excellent. Went 3 days without bath towels, they took their time in providing the towels. Excursions were very good. The room was clean, the shower was really nice with a huge shower head and lots of hot water.

Melia Las Americas: Great time at Melia Las Americas

The beach area and grounds are stunning. Lots of fun things to do, like percussion and dance lessons. The food is fresh and healthy. Great service and entertainment. Only complaint: dated furniture in the lobby.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great experience for my 15 year old

The hotel itself is fine--clean room, hot showers, nice layout except at night need more lighting on the walkways. The food is less than to be desired...by day 4 my daughter and I could not bear to go to the buffet...luckily we had 3 a la carte restaurant vouchers with our package. These restaurants were better food and no greasy oil smell which was hit you instantly when you walked into the buffet. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing beach!

The Resort itself was lovely and mostly well-kept. The beach 20/10 - amazing. Plenty of lounge chairs and palapas - The downside: Every day, there was no hot water to shower in the late afternoon (Building 6B). They kept saying there is a mechanical issue and it was being fixed but it never was. Also, there was hot water in the morning and at night - so it was definitely an issue of incapacity - not being able to accommodate everyone who wanted a hot shower. I know 5 star in Cuba isn't eq [... read more]uivalent to a North American 5 star BUT - this was ridiculous, very disappointing and frustrating. To have access to a hot shower after the beach is not an unreasonable expectation. The quality of the food was mostly poor (except for the sea food) but that is not the fault of the hotel. I have food restrictions and MOST of the chefs tried really hard to help me make sure that I wasn't inadvertently eating anything I shouldn't/couldn't. The Miramar restaurant was a disaster - the staff were clueless re being careful about my food restrictions and it was very stressful..

Memories Cayo Largo: Great hotel,but the rooms need attention

Hotel is nice,the gardens, palm trees and beach are beautiful. Food is ok but not bad, the only problem is that there is to many flys on the food and the table, Drinks are not premium, for example, 7 year old Havana club you have to pay. Staff are friendly.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Resort (experience was not as good as previous visit)

What was excellent I use a cpap machine which requires distilled water and Candice at trip central contacted Marialys at Paradisus and it was waiting for me at front desk when I checked in. Marialys also arranged to book the al la Carte we wanted for us and the two other couples travelling with us so all was supplied on checkin. What was good Front desk check in was friendly, all spoke English fluently. When I needed something they were quick responding. Room maid service was very good [... read more] Piano bar service was very good I stayed in building 5 and they kept it very neat and clean. The stair rails on stairs in that building are not stable. What was average or needs some improvement Food was average but you could always find something. (Expected in Cuba) What could use some improvement It was hit and miss on if you went to a bathroom outside your room if it had any toilet paper (that should never happen in a 5 star resort and was common) Washroom closes to beach had a hand dryer not working all week and no paper towels supplied A few bars had issues with beer and instead of having cans available told you to go to next bar (never seen that before in a 4 star so I did not expect it in a 5 star resort) Rock house had no pizza in afternoon one day. (That is the main meal during day) 24 hour snack bar does not have enough staff to handle peak periods. They try but when busy could take over a 1/2 hour before you get served. Only option if you are leaving early in morning but not wort missing your transportation to airport. This was my 3rd time in this resort and previous time they knew and had my room upgraded when I checked in. Now where it is run by Meliá they do not seem to want to care if you are a return visitor. Our previous review on this place had the title paradisus delivers. Now I have to add almost delivers. Would I stay again, maybe depending on price point but I would consider other options next time I go to Varadero where before this was my preferred choice. Not related to hotel or trip central but I had some issues with Hola Sun so will never go under one of their packages again. I let tripcentral know details

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Worst resort ever

Service is zero , food is negative 100 , no ketchup, no mustard, no pizza, 90% of menus not available. Food was terrible. Room looks very old. My wife got food poisoning froom tuna sandwich at snackbar.
