This resort is beyond beautiful! The service is amazing, everyone was very friendly , helpful and going above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. We had the two story room with private pool on the roof, it was to die for!! Such a beautiful view of the ocean from our pool . The food was excellent, lots of options to choose from! We would love to go there again!

The Sens Cancun: Nice resort!
The Oasis Palm resort it is a beautiful place to stay. Clean & nice rooms (it would be nicer if it has a fridge) but overall it is a comfy place. Beautiful swimming pool and clean beach. The only thing that bothers us is that we have to make lines every time we need a drink because of a shortage of bartenders... Everything else was ok.

Riu Palace Peninsula: This a fantastic resort, highly recommended
The grounds are well kept and beautifully landscaped. The view from room 1631 is a sight to behold. We photographed ourselves each night before dinner on the balcony using the sunset, the ocean with the pirates boats, and downtime Cancun as the background. We also photographed sunrise in the morning using the same background. Our sincere thank you to Maria who cleaned our room and many thanks to Madai and Reyes who looked after us both at breakfast and lunch. These three staff members treated us[... read more] like family during our two-week stay. The entertainment staff was great led by Eric, Carlos, and Angel. Over the the two weeks we took over 4000 pictures including activities by the beach, pool, and the Latina theatre. The Mexican, Mayan, and Michael Jackson shows were fantastic. The food and drinks were great. However, one sour note is that all three of us got sick from the food so proper hygiene practices must be in place at all times to prevent this from happening.

Paradisus Cancun: The Grand old Lady
The hotel is pretty amazing. It is everything it is supposed to be. The staff were very attentive to the details of maintaining the property and making sure the guests were very well taken care of. It is a beautiful property facing the ocean on the back side. The weather while we were there was 2 days of severe rain and 2 days of light rain. On the days with the severe rain, the hotel showed its age, in that it needs a little TLC. There was rain coming in through the glass partitions, and [... read more]in some areas the roof, but the rain was severe so this was to be expected.,and even into our room. Overall a great hotel, amazing staff, just needs some TLC to polish up the details. Because we were there in the rainy season, there was a great deal of seaweed on the beach which was removed every couple of days.

Melody Maker Cancun: Pretentious, Off putting, Non-Customer Centric
Stayed the week of June 03 to 10, 2018
Upon arrival I was greeted and offered a beverage, that was very refreashing. I was assisted with my luggage to my room. The bellman helped me set-up my safe. Later that day I changed my safe number, and needed a new safe card to do so. Desk clerk at the time was very helpful (looks like "B. J." Novak and the other clerk who is also helpful looks like Captain Morgan). Went to supper at 6:30pm, and the server seemed irritated by my lack of spanish or, tab[... read more]le utensil Etiquette. I could careless of either, as my day was very long (had a flat tire on the way to the airport the day before, and it's been 3 years since my last vacation). First day on the beach, the seaweed was the worst they have seen in 20 years, I was informed, and did not improve during my stay. The staff at breakfast were a ray of sunshine through out the week, and I have only positive vibes to give here. If you are setting up on the beach, go for the middle, as they are IN construction. They do offer a beach menu on some days, and a buffet on others that you need to make your way to the upper pool level section near entry/exit of resort. They do change where you can go for Supper throughout the week, to give you a variety. You need to book your reservations for the Teriaki Restaurant.
Now on to the garbage. I had been Sunbathing topless 4 days into my vacation when I was approached by resort concierge " hey lady, hey lady. This isn't the kind of resort". Now that is fine, till I go to the pool on the same day, late afternoon, and have a lady masturbated a man inside the pool. Security and concierge didn't want to get wet, so most of the other guests including myself saw the O face. The man was eventually assisted out of the pool, while lady stayed and moved onto the next unsuspecting pray. On the same day, late evening, I went to the front desk to ask where I can topless sunbathe on the beach, keeping to myself like I have for the last four days (I put my top on when leaving my set-up to go bathroom, walk the beach etc., and like an even tan. Has nothing to do with sex, and if your in a relationship where your man looks, and he knows that shit upsets You, I can guaranteed You had problems well before going on your vacation), and an older man in his mid forteys to early fifties was very off putting, could not look me in the eyes, and automatically assumed I wanted to go to the strippers/peelers. When I clarified this was not the case, he waved me off after circling resorts on a map for topless sunbathing. I was picking up this judgmental old Spanish Inquisition Catholic vibe from him. He has no business being in a position dealing with customers, as a frontdesk clerk, with this way of thinking, especially dealing with customers from all over the globe. I had to deal with him two other times afterward, and still dealing with the same arrogant garbage. Its a perspective that has so many dysfunctional ties. It infuriates me that this perspective is still going strong, especially when the country itself, is in a third world state. How about clean your backyard up first, cause your garbage stinks. So second last day of vacation, same pool, overheard a couple getting pissy with each other. The man was like " I am perfect just the way I am". I thought it was funny at first. Then he honked his nose and swirled it into the water, and snott floats drifting all around me. I showered off both days and came to the conclusion. "THE POOL IS DIRTY". No amount of models, hookas, and pretending to have lots of money will change this. Now the service at the beach is great till Saturday after 12pm, in terms of food and drinks to your beach set-up. They hire models in the newest fullbody bathing suits in high heels, that dance to the latest music being played. You cannot go near them from what I was told by other guests in the pool, and security guards them like the holy grail. You will need to pay 35000 pesos to sit by the pool ,and pay extra pesos to have a Hookah at your set-up by the pool. Its the same spot that you have set-up for free at all week, oh and lung cancer free too. This is literaly right out of a MTV music video, some sort of fantasy being fulfilled here. FYI! those who have money, keep their money, by not spending it on this kind of garbage. Another thing, if your single, they seem to have a problem with this. I was constantly asked if I was alone, then given a look like I have no business being alone, by some staff. Not here to give you an origin storey, and its non of your dame business. I was their for my 35th birthday, I had requested to have a cake made for this day through tripcentral. This was not honoured, and my birthday week was not made special. Also, they have construction going on both sides of the building, beach facing. That's right, you get to listen to a Jack Hammer run most of the day on both sides of the beach, with a side order of music in the middle thumping most of the day. So don't bother going, if you want to come down from your busy life. For what I paid, this is by far a 2 star resort. And I would be very concerned when they do get up and running, to full capacity, that the reception and service dont become non-existent. Oh and management, save your sorrys, apologies, as you have intentionally set this resort up for people ready to spend money, even when you have an all-inclusive package. So what are you going to do about it? for the next arriving guests?

Riu Dunamar: Excellent Staff!
I usually do not comment about trips as I believe it is the experience and the level of relaxation you can achieve. this hotel was very beautifully designed. the tropical blue that is through out the hotel is appealing. the room were spacious and clean. bathrooms very large. the staff was pleasant and accomidating. the food staff and bar staff, excellent.
Food: although there was a large variety, we found that it was very bland. They did have different sauces to add spice to the food if you[... read more] desired. the desserts were pretty to look at. but the they tasted awful. they literally had no taste. however, one of our 4 was sick and they chef made soup and special rice for her. so that was above and beyond excellent service.
Beach. I was told after that the best times to go so you do not encounter the seaweed is before May and after July. there was so much seaweed, but it was maintained by the staff .nothing you can do about mother nature. however there was a crime that occurred a few days before we arrived. we were shocked when we saw the fully garbed policy carrying a huge gun. but aside from that we did not feel unsafe.
Pools: the pools were fantastic. there are 5 pools- all great. no complaints.
entertainment: they had a variety of shows that satisfied the different type of clients they had. so it was fair.
the hotel itself was fantastic.

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Amazing time at the Beloved Playa Mujeres
I don't normally write reviews but felt I needed to with this trip.
We booked a "Casita Suite" with private plunge pool and it was everything we expected and more. Every detail is looked after at this resort. The suite was amazing - very clean, all amenities you would expect. The pool in the suite was amazing as were the other pools on the resort.
The food was outstanding. I had read some other negative reviews about the food and I can understand that if you were at the resort for 7 days t[... read more]he menu might get a little boring however on our four day trip we did not experience this. The room service menu was a really nice touch as well.
The service was also amazing. We did not experience any bad service at all from the wait staff to the concierge staff to the beach staff. Everyone was very helpful, attentive and most of all happy to help with any request. Tip them often because they deserve it.
The beach was very nice. A little sea-weedy but the staff worked very hard to keep it clean. There is a little snorkelling to be experienced off the beach with stingrays and pufferfish seen but there is no reef in the immediate area.
At night (in June when we were there) there were mosquitos in the evening. Unfortunately this prevented outside dining in most of the restaurants after 7pm. The staff were very helpful with bug spray but there was not much else they could do. As Southern Ontarians we were used to the little bitters but it was a little disappointing - but that's nature for you! Bring some good bug spray - Deep Forest, Muskol etc and you'll be fine.
Our only "negative" portions of the trip were from Sunwing itself. Our pickup time at the resort was misinformed - not a huge deal but a little stressful. Also, do yourself a favour and reserve seats on the flight next to the emergency exits for a little extra leg room otherwise anyone over 6 feet tall will have to sit for a 4 hour flight with their legs wrapped around their heads (myself included!).
All-in-all the Beloved Playa Mujeres knows how to do all-inclusive properly and gives value for cost.

Oleo Cancun Playa: Fantastic adults oriented, relaxing resort. 4.5 out of 5!
Oleo is sleek, sophisticated, relaxing, and quiet. If you want boutique, adult oriented, friendly, and clean- a safe place to relax with good unlimited food and drinks, you should consider Oleo. I stayed for 8 days in late May, 2018 with my teenaged daughter.
POSITIVES:
- The food overall. The breakfast buffet, Mediterranean restaurant, and Japanese reservation only dinner restaurant were all great with a decent selection whether you are a meat-eater or vegetarian. I have diet restrictio[... read more]ns and preferred the Azul buffet restaurant as I could create my own plates and the chef was able to cook me fillets of fish with no oil fresh on the grill. We experienced no abnormal stomach issues while at Oleo. I didn't drink much but the couple of glasses of wine I had during my stay were decent. The red wine was chilled which I found refreshing.
- I had a positive interaction with all of the staff members I spoke to during my 8 day vacation. From the cleaning staff, to the front desk personnel, the waiters and cooks, everyone is polite, attentive, and happy to help you out.
- The room is spotless, airy, and if you are lucky enough to upgrade to an ocean view room, the views are breathtaking. We upgraded at the resort during check in. The bed and linens were clean and comfy. The bed was firm but not in a bad way with tons of pillows. Your mini fridge will be re-stocked daily with cans of pop (Sprite, Coca Cola, Fresca), a couple of beers, and Cristal water bottles. No mini bar or hard alcohol FYI.
- Poolside & beachside service means that you can get snacks (burgers, fries, tacos, guac & chips, etc) and drinks brought to you while you relax. You can also walk up to the poolside seating area to sit and eat if you'd like.
- There is a BestDay travel agency booth in the resort and they are super helpful with booking you excursions. I ended up purchasing 2 adult tickets for Chichen Itza, Aventura Park/Dolphinaris, and Tulum including lunch and transportation. I did tons of research and was confident that I got the best price possible from a reputable excursion company. Bring a lightweight day pack for your excursions. You can leave it on the bus and as you will need your bathing suit, towel, sandals, hat, sun screen, etc.
- The resort Wi-Fi was good and easy to connect to.
- There were NO MOSQUITOS on the resort during our stay. During our trip to Tulum we got swarmed and bitten quite a few times but both my daughter and I never wore bug spray at Oleo and had no issues.
- Although the water from the shower and sink was non-drinkable, it had no funky smell and was ample and hot. Unlimited Cristal bottled water could be found anywhere and was safe. Tastes similar to Dasani when refrigerated. I used ice in my drinks and had no issues with that either. I inquired and it's brought in, in bags from a treatment facility.
- Through reviews it's apparent that you can (and it's suggested to) bring $1 USD bills to tip, it's never asked of by the resort workers and you are not treated any differently whether you tip or not. I tipped some of my favourite employees by choice but never felt pressured to do so. In fact, you will feel more pressured to tip everywhere outside of Oleo, tour bus guides, at the airport, etc.
A FEW FINAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- A/C was room controlled and worked perfectly but our clothes could never dry fully in the room. The humidity and moisture cannot be escaped when you are that close to the ocean. Expect your bags to come home heavier then when you left and leave some space so you don't max out your weight restrictions.
- There will be a few people with children at Oleo. I personally don't recommend bringing kids under the age of 13 to this adult oriented resort. There are very few kid activities to keep your child entertained and scantily clad adults relaxing and enjoying their vacation. This is Oleo's target guest and unless you have a more mature child that's into sand, sun, and chilling then this place is not recommended for kids.
- You will encounter vendors trying to sell you various things on the beach. They are not aggressive and a simple "no gracias" kept them at bay.
- The beach was full of waves and red flags every day of our vacay. We still stayed within the shallow (waist high) water and had fun in the waves. Lifeguards were present and kept an eye on everyone. The day after a big evening thunderstorm, the beach and water was full of seaweed. You may encounter this if you come during hurricane season. It dwindled down and we swam in the ocean again about 30 hours after the storm.
- While there are very few animals or pests on the grounds, there are lots of black crow like birds. When you finish your outdoor meal, you need to cover your plate up immediately or they will swoop in to finish up your scraps. All three of the dining restaurants are completely enclosed and air conditioned so if you are not fond of birds, you can easily avoid this!
- The resort is located very close to the airport, at the very bottom of the hotel zone. This means you will be the first or last stop for most things. Keep this in mind for airport transfers, excursion pickup / drop offs, and taxi's to town. Arriving to the hotel we were the first ones dropped off of our shuttle. Going to Chichen Itza and Tulum we were the first picked up (nice because you could choose your preferred seat on the bus) but the last dropped off. Going to Aventura park/Dolphinaris, on the free shuttle was a super short ride as Oleo is the last stop before the park. Also the first stop going home. If we had gone into town, the taxi ride would be longer and probably more expensive then most hotels as it's further away.
OVERALL:
Oleo Cancun Playa is a solid adults oriented resort and I'm glad I booked through tripcentral. My rep, Melanie Johnston was super helpful and made sure that I got the lowest price (cheaper than if I booked the hotel and airfare separately) and provided me with all documents necessary for my trip. She was available via phone or email for any questions I had and followed up via both phone and email to ensure I was set and prepared for my trip. If I go to Cancun in the future, I will definitely look into staying at Oleo again and will definitely book through tripcentral.

Riu Dunamar: Perfect for young people that want to party
The food was great at all places, 24 hour food in the sports bar where the computers and pool tables are. You can order tim Hortons style Frappuccino their that are so good in the morning. Also burgers and bbq chicken by the pool fall right off the bone. Sooooooo good! There's 3 pools. One is quiet and relaxed, one has music playing and has a swim up bar and the 3rd one is more party mode. It's where most of the party crowd is. Also swim up bar with a DJ and foam party once a week. The beach is [... read more]beautiful and can walk forever. The room was perfect, I asked if I could have a good room and the desk was cool and gave me a great view. It also has water slides on the far side of the resort. It is a pretty large resort. I also met really friendly people to hang out with. Riu Dunamar: Great Resort
Riu Dunamar was a great place for a relaxing, stress free week to unwind. The resort grounds were absolutely fantastic, the pools were never crowded, the beach was beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs and the staff constantly kept the resort clean. The food was great, the buffets had a lot of variety and the restaurants were quite impressive (both decor and food), however the 24 hour snack bar lacked variety having not much to offer other than burgers and hotdogs that had to be heated in a mic[... read more]rowave. The quality of the room was very high and the ocean view was stunning. However, the minibar staff was not helpful since they only delivered water twice during the week forcing us to fill water bottles at the buffet on multiple occasions. Furthermore, the elevators were located quite far from most of the rooms which required a lot of walking to reach a room on the top floor and/or closer to the ocean. Finally, the daily entertainment was good, the main show each night was entertaining while the day time activities were okay. It was fine for a 7 day stay but would have become repetitive if we stayed any longer. Also, travelling anywhere off resort was difficult since it is located at least 30 minutes from anything. Overall, I would recommend this resort and would return.

Traveled to Crown Paradise in late April with our 3 and 5 year olds. We had a great time and the kids loved the pirate ship area. Everyone loved the food at the buffet, no one ever went hungry. Waynes Boots and Mexican were our favorite a la carte's by far. We would go again as there are more actives for the kids as they get older.

Sandos Cancun: Not what I expected
The beach - was not the greatest
The room - was fantastic
The service - was awful, noone spoke english, complaints were disregarded
The food - we booked here because I am vegan. There is one vegan meal a day so get ready to eat guacamole, raw potatoes and salad because everything else is covered in butter and cheese and they wont make special orders.
The drinks - were far too strong and we saw so many drunk people getting hurt at the pool
The wildlife - was amazing we fed monkeys on the bal[... read more]cony. There were birds and coatis everywhere. There were also lots and lots of mosquitos because of all the stagnant water.
We went to book our wedding and will not be returning to this resort. There was a black out during one wedding, they lost the grooms pants and beach ceremonies include sandfleas.
