Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Our Second Home
We Like how we get treated and welcomed with our room all done up for our 34th anniversary. the A La Carts were very good with excellent service. The buffet was very good for brakfast and lunch. We ate at the Tulum buffet for 3 suppers and it was verry good. This is our 7th time and we feel at home . Most staff are very nice with some being long term employees who care We shall return!
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Family vacation
Our trip at Sandos was amazing there was so much stuff to do at this resort, never a dull moment. The night life and shows were so great the superhero show was really good even for adults. The Mayan shows were also one of our favorites. The resort was big and a bit confusing to get around but after a day I knew it inside out. The kids waterpark was better than I thought the kids had such a great time there and they are building a waterslide park for adults ready in January so it will be even be [... read more]
Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Very good value for money
Our 3rd time at Grand Sirenis. The place is starting to show its age and I would say maintenance has been neglected in some areas. The grounds are great and we like the fact it is spread out over large area. If you don't want to be side by side with all the other hotels, this is perfect. We like they way they have kept the natural area around intact. It would appear they are starting to invest some money to refurbish, but I also think it is going towards their premium travelers club/members. Mak [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: very good
We went there for the 5th time all ways enjoyed our stay there . We were happy to be able to go from Tullum beach to Coba beach due to an uncontrolling circumstances....the algae! the staff is working relentlessly to alleviate that problem. We still enjoyed jumping in the waves!! The staff is very cordial and accommodating. The food quality and variety surely met high standards . A little disappointed with restrictions to Akumal section...... All in all it's a very nice resort and also big incen [... read more]
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Delightful Trip to the Valentin
My 10 days at the Valentin Imperial Maya were wonderful. From the doorman greeting me with a warm "welcome home" to the hugs I received from staff members on my last day, my first time in Mexico could not have been more enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful, the pools never felt crowded, there were a variety of activities and entertainment planned every day, the meals were deliciously varied, and the room was ample and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this resort, and hope to find my way [... read more]
Moon Palace Cancun: Great resort!
There are three lobbies: Grand, Sunrise and Nizuc. We stayed at Grand but you can go to the other two as well. The room was incredible, marble flooring, glass showers, in-suite hot tub, free liquors and wine, huge patio, etc. Pools are great too, so many options. Our only complaint was the food, quality was well above the average but not a lot of variety. Overall, it was a pleasure staying at Moon Palace.
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: very clean and relaxed atmosphere
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The grounds were nicely laid out. The pools were always cleaned and had great shapes. The beach and pool area always had room to lie down. The air conditioner always kept the clean room comfortable. Always good choice of food and the desserts looked and tasted great!
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: First Time at this resort
We really enjoyed the resort, we stayed ground floor in Blk 5 with the pool feet away from our patio door and steps away from the morning/lunch buffet (which turned into 2 evening a la cartes/and bar....very convenient :) we went to one show and we very entertained. There are 2 wifi zone but with the size of the resort they could use a couple more, but it is Mexico so we were pleased to even have 2
Secrets Huatulco: Not There Yet
The resort is located in a very beautiful area. The décor is very bland and could really use some other colour that off white. The furnishings are flimsy. The staff is great. The liquor is top shelf but the food was very sparse is selection. To answer the question would I recommend this resort .....maybe. It depends on what you are looking for. It is a very long 5 hour flight and the weather is very hot 30+ every day.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Pretty great resort!
Overall we had a great time, great food, beautiful rooms and pools. Only down side was the algae but they can't help that because of the tides, we did have a few calmer sea days where the water was almost free of algae and we were able to enjoy the beach. Entertainment was lacking but the service was good. Kids club is great and the water park is a nice touch!
Moon Palace Cancun: Great Resort!
Great resort. Room and hotel were clean. Most of all, staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a large property with 4 different hotel "blocks". Sunrise is the centre and largest of all. The Flowrider and kid water park are there. Nizuc is a quieter location with a water slide but not much else. One facility is adults only and I'm not sure about the 4th. Ask for a room in the location you want or you will be taking the shuttle a lot which isn't that bad because they run every 10 minutes. The [... read more]
Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Great trip to Sandos!
We have been to at 6 or 7 all inclusives in the Mayan Riveria. Sandos certainly ranks in the top 2! We stayed in the adults only section. The room was beautiful! Mattress was quite firm. No problem at the beginning, but towards the end of our trip our backs were a little stiff. A bit of a walk to the beach, but lets be honest, we could use the exercise after all the food and drink! Grounds are absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Food was very good. Only complaint was th [... read more]
Selection Riviera Cancun: Very Good Resort
Overall the resort was very nice and if I ever went to the same resort twice (which I don't) we would go here again. Everything was clean, food was good, pools were amazing. Salvador at the Mexican bar was fantastic! One of the bell men at the main lobby was also fantastic (but unfortunately I can't remember his name). Our only disappointment would be the service of the front lobby counter. Most of them were not helpful with anything, they came across as rude and unwilling to even appear accommo [... read more]
Grand Sunset Princess: Not a five star
The resort grounds are gorgeous and pools plenty. BUT the rooms are very musty and moldy smelling. The food is very bland. No place to sit outdoors at restaurants or buffets. Constant sewer smell at beach and internet very costly and only available in 2 designated spots. Entertainment very poor. Would not recommend this place.
Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Great hotel!
Great food, great staff, great beach. The Occidental Grand Nuevo Vallarta is a smaller hotel compared to others in the area which is nice. Beautiful beach. Just a short walk down the beach, you can witness nightly baby sea turtle releases! Amazing to see! A great location only a short bus ride away from Puerto Vallarta. Highly recommend.
Occidental at Xcaret Destination: X-caret Hotel
This was my second trip to this hotel. It was an awesome week with a few bumps but good all the same. The rooms are nice and clean, the beach is small but clean and love the man made inlet so I can go swimming without the waves. The food was good plenty to eat. Dinners are all a la carte so was able to enjoy all the restaurants without eating supper at the buffet. The staff was friendly and helpful the grounds are well kept, love the wild life. The coatis and monkeys where awesome. I would love [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: fairly new resort
Impressed with the bottle of champagne in our room for my birthday. Someone would have had to review my information as we did not mention it was my birthday. Staff was excellent. Often they would engage guests in conversation. Grounds were clean and maintained. Our disappointment was with the buffet. Food was warm at best and generally over cooked and tough. Easy to fix.
Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: 2 weeks of unforgeable stay at Dreams Puerto Av!
Excellent resort to relax, to snorkel and very enjoyable for kids. Good location to reach interesting places like Xcaret, Tulum ruins and etc. Very friendly stuff, amazing activities and tasty food! We would return and recommend to our friends!
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Fun resort
Friendly staff, awesome jungly grounds, perfect size (not so big you can't find your friends but big enough). Seemed great for families or people travelling without kids. I am only not rating it as excellent because we had some inconveniences the first couple days but once we figured things out and adjusted our expectations, we were very happy. Things I wish we knew ahead of time: the layout of the room may not necessarily be what you think you've booked, there are a TON of stairs and no elevato [... read more]
Marquis Los Cabos: Fantastic luxury resort
The hotel was well appointed with great attention to detail and luxury in mind. The staff were very attentive, the rooms cleaned thoroughly every day, and food was well prepared and alterations were easily made to suit your needs (no buffet so fresh fresh fresh!) the recreational activities were quite regular and there was a fully equipped gym complete with towels and water.
