Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Our favourite, time and time again

For us, the best vacation resort. Beautiful people staff this complex. Beautiful beach and gardens too. There is always something good to eat at each meal and for snacks too. We are going back with our grandchildren this summer. We always book with Debbie at tripcentral.ca

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful time

The hotel was very nice, the staff were friendly, the organized activities were fun and the food was plentiful and great. I was very impressed with the food and the variety of food we were offered. I would definitely stay there again.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Value for Money with a few improvements

The resort was great. Loved the place, people, sea and pool. The food was ok, not great but ok. I think more effort has to be put into the presentation of the food. It tastes better than it looks. The staff are all great. One rip off though is the exchange rate from American dollars to Convertible peso's. It should be 1:1 and not 0.80 convertible peso's to an American dollar. This is ridiculous. How can the peso be more valuable than the American $... Also the no smoking sign in the lobby has t [... read more]o be more conspicuous. People aren't aware of this or they don't care so there needs to be more compliance regarding this - have a designated smoking area!!! Also the room had a coffee pot on the first day but no coffee - after I requested this it was supplied. The pillows also need to be normal sized pillows - not body pillows.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Diana lea

beds are terrible, food was ok, beach is beautiful and Cuban people are always kind and friendly! the only thing I would say is they need new mattresses, springs were popping in our backs. they did switch our room after 2 days but the beds weren't any better

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Decent Resort

The resort was beautiful, clean, and had nice architecture. My biggest complaint was that they were always running out of food and drink items. Some of the staff were incredibly friendly and hard working but others were rude and lazy. The rooms were cleaned and stocked consistently and the front desk was always willing to answer any questions we had. Overall, I think it was good but they were definitely lacking in certain areas. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

Very clean, friendly staff, great food, weather, all the alcartes had great food, good value for your dollar. I have been there twice, I you use a power wheelchair they now have an accesable van in Porta Plata. I will go there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Top Notch Resort

Best resort by far. The food was excellent. The rooms were well appointed and clean. The beach was beautiful. No complaints about anything . I would definitely recommend it without hesitation. Perfect size hotel

Iberostar Grand Packard: Best hotel in Cuba!

Extraordinary service from all staff and exceptional quality of facilities, rooms and food make this the best hotel experience I've had in over 15 years of travel to Cuba. The General Manager, Alejandro, Food and Beverage Managers Pedro and Sonia, and all of their associates made me feel welcomed and pampered. The breakfast buffet is the best I've experienced in years! Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Beautiful Property

We had a lovely family vacation at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. It is a beautiful property with lots to offer. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The food is overall very good (a few bland meals, but mostly delicious). Only area of improvement for me would be the speed of service - my sister ordered room service and it took over 2 hrs. Unacceptable. Otherwise, everything else was great!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Below expectations

There was no special area for star prestige checking in, reception staff did not explain all the privilege of that level. We know that food variety is limited but the problem the chef also has limited skills. The other staff was very friendly. There was a problem with hot water in rooms but solved after 2 days. Rooms, in general, are clean and comfortable. There are 2 elevators only for a huge building and most of the time one only is working. Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great Hotel

My family and I visited Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay for 6 days. For my review, I'm going to break down some key areas then provide my rating based on my overall experience. Property - my first impression of the hotel was that it was beautiful. The property is well kept by the attending staff and for a clean freak like myself that's extemely important. 5/5 Staff- the staff are friendly, some more than others. There was an African male front desk agent that went above and beyond for me and the gentlemen at the front desk are always welcoming. Some staff get what 5 star service means, others need some work. 4/5 Food - the food varies and I think it depends on the cook. Sometimes the food is really good and sometimes it taste bland. Not sure what's happening with the ketchup but it tasted watered down and the consistency was very watery. One chef had an actual ketchup bottle, which I appreciated. However, for the most part, there is a good variety of authentic Jamaican dishes, as well as American options. I recommend booking reservations to the various restaurants throughout your stay. Also take advantage of the Beaches restaurants. Their buffet is bigger and has more variety than the Suites. 4/5 Entertainment- from the organized activities to the nightly shows, this team delivers. Kevin Hart 2.0 is the perfect host. The Michael Jackson and Magic Shows were 2 of my favorites. The group is really talented and does an awesome job each and everyday. Tip: check out entertainment at the Beaches as well. Ex: if you can't attend a particular show, they may have that show available at the Beaches. 5/5 Pool Bar - I had to review these guys separately as they are all 5 star employees. I sat and watched their interactions with various guests, and to me, this is what 5 star service is all about. The team knew their "regulars" (including my 8 yr old son) and delivered delicious mixes, shots and drinks. They gave great recommendations and are always smiling, happy and entertaining. 5/5 Spa - this is a MUST DO! I highly recommend getting a sp treatment. Especially if you got resort credit and insurance. My masseuse was StacyAnn and she was fabulous. She knew the muscles and worked my body. The entire session was a whole mood/experience. 5/5 Guest Service - This is strictly a rating on Yosilda. I had an incident upon my first night and I shared it with the Assistant Guest Service Manager, Yosilda and she went above and beyond to ensure my situation was rectified and I was comfortable during the rest of my stay with personal daily checkup. She understands the meaning of "quality service, guest satisfaction and 5 star experience" 5/5 Overall stay - Although my trip started off on the rocky side, it ended very positively. The team at the Suites do have some work to do on small areas to truly make the experience a 5 star experience, however, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites. 4/5 overall rating.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great Experience

The hotel was very clean. Food was great, room was clean (although one cockroach did seem to make his way in at one point). My only complaint was the tourists that brought their big bubba keg drink coolers that were filling them like what seemed to be every 10min that held up the others from getting drinks. The entertainment was very well done and they offered dance and yoga classes during the days. I would highly recommend this resort.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Perfect getaway

I loved this hotel. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The resort itself was wonderfully upkept, its clear that the staff work relentlessly to provide thier travelers with a clean enviroment. The beach is exactly what you hope. Crave that moonlit romantic walk? It feels like you are on your own private beach. I honestly can't say enough positive things. Thank you!!

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Good new resort

We liked the location of the hotel, on a cape, surrounded on several sides by the ocean. Large comfortable rooms, beautiful design, quality plumbing, comfortable mattresses and pillows. Clean resort, good service. The quality of food as is usual in Cuba, not higher than by 3.5-3.8. Entertainment is bad, it is better to go with your company so as not to be bored in the evenings.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: It’s ok

The resort is beautiful, rooms are nice. But for us wasn’t the a good experience won’t go back to an Iberostar. Was given a room on the main hallway so throughout the night and day you hear everybody walking and talking which kept us up most the evening which was horrible. Tried to get a different room but they wouldn’t allowed us to up grade because 40% of the better and quieter rooms, ocean front after left empty for there Iberostar premiere guest/timeshare. We had a horrible first day w [... read more]ith getting a bad room which was actually an upgrade quite pool view, do not get probably one of the worst rooms. Being pressured by staff to go the there timeshare presentation. We wants to get photos done but took 4 days to have someone actually there. Everyday when the butler staff sees you they hunt you down looking to get you things which when you do ask takes hours to get. We had a ask for more water everyday and was always a pain to get. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Well unless your retired the staff seemed to always be getting them everything

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Gorgeous beaches

We had a mostly wonderful time at this hotel. The pools and beach were gorgeous and we made sure to make the most of them! Unfortunately the restaurants were almost completely booked out so we only managed to try one - we were disappointed that we couldn't try the others, but the one night we got in to the Italian restaurant was fabulous and worth the 4 day wait! Buffet food was okay - just a matter of finding the things we liked among the large variety of options. Room service forgot to bring us cutlery, making eating dinner a little difficult - when we asked for it, the staff member did not return (he may have misunderstood the request) so we had to go and raid the buffet for spoons and our food was stone cold by the time we got to eat it! Overall we had an excellent stay, with only a few minor hiccups. Would definitely stay again.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Exceptional in Every Way Possible

Our second stay at The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. It was a perfect week! The people that work at The Iberostar are what makes this resort so fantastic. The grounds are impeccable someone is always taking care. The flowering trees, shrubs and cactus are all a picture. The entertainment group is fun. Very creative with activities for all ages. Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Beautiful Resort!

Gorgeous resort! great layout - everything is easy to find and access. Staff is very pleasant, even the reception desk which usually are not very friendly. Amazing beach! Resort could use some updating - safe required service (would not lock), front door required service (lock broken), patio door (would not lock). we called the front desk and all were resolved within 20 minutes.

Pros: -Very nice new hotel (1 year old) -Comfortable rooms and beds -Excellent service (hotel was half full) -Very friendly staff -Private beach area with shallow water for kids, well maintained -Excellent Animation staff -Beautiful area/scenery Cons: -Large property for only 600+ rooms -VERY poor selection/variety/quality of food at buffet (even for Cuba standards) may be because hotel had only 300-400 guests during our stay. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: 4 Star Vacation

This was our second time to Beach Resort. Also, been to Suites. I read about upgrades for return guests, nothing! Husband did get a bottle of rum for his birthday, very appreciated. We were basically in the same room as last time, only lower floor. Oceanview and lovely. AC worked great. Restaurants are very good except Italian. Food was cold, and staff unpleasant. When it was a Cajun Restaurant, it was wonderful. Ocean was calm all week, absolutely gorgeous. No need for water shoes. [... read more] Snorkelling good too. The vendors can be quite annoying. Guests kept bringing them food and drinks. Smoking was allowed everywhere, disgusting! They do not enforce dress code. Beach and pool staff for drinks and games were fun and amazing. This hotel chain is going green. Bring your own straws! Would return.
