Ocean Coral by H10: Overall great resort
My wife and I booked this resort for our 3rd year anniversary. We went for 10 days and we're not bored once. The resort was very clean, staff was awesome. George at the blue moon restaurant was amazing! He found out if was our 3 year anniversary and brought us champagne and made us some amazing martini drinks after desert. The staff st the swim up bar were awesome and so was the lady that worked serving the pool. I did however feel that this area of the resort was under staffed. I was happy to w [... read more]
Grand Palladium Colonial: The best!
This is my second time at the Grand Palladium! Love this place! The jungle-the cute little animals everywhere! The staff are amazing and the saltwater pool on the ocean is a piece of heaven. It is large, but that is awesome because you never get Bored, always something new to see and a surprise around every corner.
Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Very Nice
Very stately design & decor. Not so big that you get lost. Everything (beach, pool, lobby, bars) is within a 2 min walk from wherever your room is. The structure is showing its age somewhat here and there (if you look close). The rooms (our) are nice, and spacious (we had a step down sitting area & full balcony). The pool gets cleaned & checked every day, but does show an oily film near the end of the day... the water is approx 80 deg F. The beach is very wide, with soft white sand, and no coral [... read more]
Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Nice place , Nice people
This hotel has a nice older authentic Mexican feel to it than some we have stayed at . Our room was on the 1st floor near the dining area so we just hopped the balcony and grabbed coffee every morning which was nice. The food was good as far as buffets go. Fish, Mexican dishes , chicken and pasta , salads and soups and at least 4 deserts . They have a grill where you can order your morning omelette as you like and had other interesting things on the go during some meal times .They make a great S [... read more]
Paradisus Cancun: Great resort, depends on room you get
Very clean, service is good but very average if you have a butler, they changed the administration and they were not even able to confirm my airport shuttle in time, lucky we went on our own 30 min prior. Bags sent late to room, breakfast 1.5 hours late, checkin took 1 hour and then 30 min more for bags, thus despite leaving very early we didn't get to do beach time until 4:30 pm. They gave us a basic room despite our luxury booking and then argued that it was the room they typically give, thoug [... read more]
Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Much less than expected
Simply put, I have stayed three stars before, and this place does not compare. When you book three stars, your not expecting luxury, but you certainly are not expecting what this hotel offers. Broken tiles with large pieces missing in the bathroom. Extremely limited options for food. Nobody likes to drink their drinks out of tiny plastic cups. Some maintenance would be a good investment.
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort!
The property is gorgeous! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and clean. The water is somewhat rockie, however, the beach is perfect. Richardo was the one who took care of us when we first arrived and set up all of our dinner reservations. He went out of his way toke sure we were able to go to the restaurants of our choice.
Grand Oasis Riviera: Disappointing
This was my first time at an All-Inclusive and it was disappointing. Half the resort was being renovated and my party was relocated (without us being told) to another part of the resort that was not part of the main grounds. The vacationers staying in this section shared the site with staff that were living there. As well there were security issues resulting in a room change. There was a strong rancid smell which indicated that we were adjacent to the Sewage Reservoirs. Food was fair with very l [... read more]
Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Just "okay"
My husband and I (ages 36+46) stayed at Golden Parnassus Nov 16-23. Hotel needs updating. Get an ocean view room as this was the best part of the hotel other then the amazing staff! The old barn steak house was the best resto along with the snack bar. You must try the burgers at the snack bar, delisssssssh!! Entertainment is lacking and boring. Beach is beautiful! Lobby bar boring and tacky. Tiki bar was ok. If you want adult only fun hotel, go to Temptation Resort.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: So much more than expected
Check in a breeze, nice large room, really comfortable beds, large clean bathrooms with makeup mirror hair dryer basket full of essentials and full size towels. Nice added touch, white bathrobes slippers, bowl full of fresh fruit yummy. Our fridge was always refilled daily with beer ,pop, water bottles and to our surprise small bags of potato chips and small chocolate bars nice touch. First time in Mexico and would definitely return and recommend this resort. Two thumbs up. Also food was excellent n [... read more]
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good family resort
Colourful, and very clean. November, many local people which made meals being catered to Mexican, but salad bar was amazing. Booking specialty restaurants a nightmare..had to be done at 7:00 A.M. only for two consecutive nights, so if staying longer than a week meant going often in order to book a table..then not even a guarantee you were able to get one. Overall good value. Family pool Area noisy, evening shows were amazing.
Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Amazing Resort
Right in the heart of Playa del Carmen and 5th Avenue! Comfortable, intimate resort with exceptional staff who provide exceptional service. Excellent massage therapist with personal touch. Cleanliness is utmost throughout. Terrific sushi bar with stunning view of surroundings. Front desk staff and concierge staff exceptional attending to every desire or concern. Our 10th time visiting our home away from home!
Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Zen Resort!
The resort is very clean, newly renovated with nice hot tub on your own balcony. Wonderful yoga classes with Masters of yoga. They are very kind and sweet. The staff is very friendly, polite and efficient.
Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Very pleasant resort and people
We enjoyed the resort. The room was spotless and the bed and bedding was fabulous. Unfortunately the food was just OK. The Spanish restaurant was good. The Japanese restaurant was very poor. The hostess was rude and you could smell rancid oil in the restaurant. The a la carte restaurant was pleasant for breakfast.
Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Dreams Vallarta
Great staff, great food, awesome pools and beach. I loved the pool and the lounge chairs around the pool. It was nice to have the option to have shade or sun. I have a nine month old baby and it was definitely stroller and baby friendly place.
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Review
I very much enjoyed my stay. It was my first time in Mexico and I will definitely be back. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I was impressed that the bathrooms were always clean and fresh smelling.
Occidental at Xcaret Destination: AMAZING TRIP!!
The Occidental Grand Flamenco Xcaret Resort was amazing!! The staff, food, drinks and entertainment were on point. The pools and beaches were awesome and very well maintained. Thanks for a very enjoyable vacation!!!
Sun Palace Hotel: Very good
Overall was very good but snack bar pool music was loud and irritating.. Should be turned down by 3:00 pm when you are trying to enjoy the ocean sounds Our room was above this pool. All rooms have a beautiful ocean view. Would have been quieter in another area of the hotel. Service and staff was excellent. Nightly entertainment was not very good.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Favorite Resort
Top notch service, very clean, very satisfied. First trip here in 2012 and never stopped thinking about this resort. We traveled to other resorts in area but found this our favorite. Since they renovated there are more pools and never looking for an open chair as you will have many options. Best beach, food and accommodations. We recommend Jolly Roger Pirate Ship dinner cruise for an excursion and the Ruins that were discovered in 1995 (Ek Balam) Can't wait to return in another year. We plan on [... read more]
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Wonderful Trip, highly recommend
Excellent resort, well laid out, friendly staff, wonderful food. The only down fall I would say is people walking down the halls at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, and yes even 5:30 in the morning are LOUD, and you would think they are standing next to your bed hooting and hollering.
