Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful Resort!
This resort is beautiful with amazing hard working staff. The beach was amazing and the water was so warm! Food was good. Beautiful views from our ocean view room which was 2339. The spa was awesome. This is not a party resort, it was mainly families and couples. Hard to find anything to complain about. I guess the only complaint I can come up with is the steakhouse restaurant was disappointing. Dealing with Trip Central was a very good experience and I will definitely be using them again.
Tropicana Hotel: Great Vacation
The hotel was nice, a bit dated but great location and really great beach front. The restaurants around the hotel provide lots of selection and amazing quality. The area is quaint and great to wander around!
Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort
Overall the hotel was clean, pools were nice and the staff was friendly! Negatives for me was definitely the food/alcohol. They had a variety however personally I was not a fan. I didn't feel good the majority of the week. one other negative I found was the beach. People were allowed to sell souvenirs and are quite aggressive making it hard to walk and enjoy the view without being shouted at and feeling unsafe.
Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Great resort!
Hotel was large and clean. Food was good! Many choices and restaurants! Stayed in the royal club, too many kids, needs and 18+, we paid the extra with the assumption of no children not the case. Overall great.
Catalonia Playa Maroma: Fantastic Experience
Food was great! Especially at the buffets. Super friendly staff, very accommodating. Always noticed staff taking care of the resort whether it be cleaning up seaweed on the beach, landscaping in the gardens, painting and so forth. Very well maintained. Resort is an older resort so do expect older style rooms, but not a big deal as you really only sleep there. Bring lots of bug spray! the rooms all lead to a central path through the middle of the resort, which is basically central in a forest. Yo [... read more]
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Unique Resort
Eco resort within forest with ceynotes and mayan ruins on property. Great mayan related activities program with boat tour, bicycle tour and shows. Food was good. Plenty of chairs on beach. Not harassed for tipping at this resort. Lots to do for all ages.
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: CLEAN,NICE AND SUPER FRIENDLY!
Absolutely everything or almost was great about this resort. Starting on the day of arrival till departure, friendly staff (even the gardeners). Good food, good service and so clean. The room was a knockout..i was very impressed with the setting. Would recommend this place anytime, but keep in mind it is restricted for adults. Normal, the booze is present all over!!
Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Wonderful Wedding
This was a lovely location for a wedding. The resort is small (approx. 130 rooms) and there are a lot of places to relax, eat, drink, or just lounge in the sun. The service was terrific - attentive but not overbearing. I especially appreciated the restaurants - at the door, we were asked about food allergies and substitutions or changes were made for each person.
Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Excellent resort
it's beautiful, clean, the food is great. The staff are amazing, very helpful, friendly and accommodating. It's very quiet, peaceful and really beautiful. Great for couplesI highly recommend this location.
El Dorado Maroma: Intimate Resort With 5 Star Staff
What a great resort! The beautiful grounds, the gorgeous beach, and staff that almost tripped over each other trying to make sure you're comfortable. Simply wonderful! I wouldn't hesitate to go back!!
The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great Vacation
Impeccable grounds, not a blade of grass out of place. Pools were massive and inviting. Food was good in particular the room service. Traveled with grand kids and pizza at Palma's was a big hit. We upgraded to a one bedroom suite midway through the week and all we can say is "Wow". William and Aricelli at the pool were there every time we needed something. Some construction taking place, but not enough to bother us and it was very quiet in the evening. Good to see they are staying on top of reno [... read more]
Riu Cancun: amazing place
beautiful beach, clean rooms and area, very pleasant smiling employees, food excellent with lots of fresh variety, entertainment was good...............wifi was on and off and only on main floor but free when you could get it..........
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Worth the money in low season
Overall okay resort but noisy and busy, specially at night. Don't lose your hotel bracelet or you'll pay a $50 fine. Food and bar are descent. Night shows are generally entertaining. Bring shampoo or you'll have to purchase one.
Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Good Place
it has a very limited options, they cook the same food and you don't really have much options. the rooms are good, but lucks house keeping. You will cover most of the activities in the resort within a day and you wont't have much to do. they have a booth in two places, but don't have a place to sit a listen a song, no clube at all, you have to pay to go downtown and pay extra 65-85 dollar per day for club and 20-30$ for transportation each day you go out
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort and amazing service!!!
Stayed between October 16th to October 24th, 2015. By far the best resort I have stayed at thus far. The grounds are beautiful, you can tell that the staff there works extremely hard to ensure that the hotel grounds are clean and well kept. Service was amazing, very personal your server will refer to you by your last name and sit you down even when you eat at the buffet. On the first night I left my carry on luggage on the bus (no name, no baggage tag on the luggage) and only realized that I do [... read more]
Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Good Solid Relaxing Resort
Enjoyed the all room ocean view. Entire resort revolves around beach! Enjoyed no reservations & no towel cards. Bar service , room cleaning beach bar service was awesome. Resort not a party resort but geared to people who just want to relax & chill.
Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Definitely not 4.5 star hotel
My friend and I arrived by noon on Saturday Oct 17th. Check in time was supposed to be 3pm. We were assured that we would get into our room by 2pm. Two hours after that we finally got into the room. We paid 1100 CDN each. For that amount the hotel was OK. Small resort. No shows at night. There was music at night. That was good but not enough seats to relax. Be aware of the Fidelity Program. This is a time share but no yearly administration fee. The people that approach you when you arive call th [... read more]
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valentin Imperial
Our room was damp and musty. Cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. Extremely slow process to check in, first impressions on service desk was mediocre. On a positive note the pool, beach and restaurants were most enjoyable.
Riu Santa Fe: this is a beautiful resort
This hotel is very well kept and clean. The rooms were great. The service was excellent with a lot of very happy and helpful staff. It is a very big property though, so be prepared to do a lot of walking just to get around on their property.
